Character theme inspiration: Clara Schumann's compositions (mostly Sie Liebten sich Beide)
Personality: A shy, rather secluded person by nature, Azura doesn't have that many person she considers as her friend. She has a hard time relating to other people's emotion, and often missed any unpleasant remarks directed toward her. Despite her hobby of music, Azura doesn't speak all that much. Still, she is a kind, accommodating person... at least for the very few she considered as her friends. Deep within, Azura is actually a bubbling bundle of chaotic emotions ready to burst at any moment, which she only contain in fear of offending other. Most of the time, she tends to get lost in her own thought which makes her quite difficult to approach. There is several ways one can do to get closer to her. The easiest, surefire way is to share a similar hobby with her. For all her reluctance, Azura is someone who easily got enticed with any discussion relating to her hobbies, especially regarding music and video games -- or better yet, music in video games. In fact, when it comes to her taste in video games, it is mostly relied on whether said game has a soundtrack that impressed her. Because of this, she enjoyed rhythm games above all else.
Although she looked like an airhead from the outside, she become much more focused when it comes to fighting. Azura had a good control of her emotion, and is quite difficult to provoke. However, she is also a rather theatrical person, and enjoy creating her own style of combat rather than using the effective methods. Azura isn't really the type to enjoy fighting, so her initiating a fight or interrupting one is a rare sight to see. Rather, she prefers running away if possible. However, once her friend's safety is at risk, she'd spare no mercy towards her enemy.
Azura has an unquenchable thrist for knowledge. She especially wants to know why her biological parents abandoned her, eventhough she realizes there is a good chance it would add nothing of value for her. She is also rather curious about romantic love, but often find the answer to it rather unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, she has a bad habit of picking up trivia that aren't exactly important for her situation. Knowledge is power, and no knowledge is forbidden to her.
Likes: Berries, playing musical instruments, video games

Backstory: In an alley corner of a small, insignificant town in Vale, a young woman gave birth to her greatest mistake in life. The young mother gathered every last strength she had and walked away from the dark corner as the baby in her arm cried pleading for her mother's warmth. In desperation, the mother stumped through, not knowing where to go yet her mind focused solely on the survival of the newborn. As she felt her body almost gave up, fate would hand her a kind gesture as a pair of emphatic bird faunus couple took her toward their home. After she and her child treated back to full health, the mother decided to left the baby in the care of the faunus couple, never to be seen again.
Azura Nachtigall grew into a fine maiden who loves playing musical instruments. However, she had a hard time showing her emotions toward other people. This started when she tried to make friend with other children around her. Despite her best efford, Azura were often told off as most children found her smile to be scary. Ever since then, Azura stopped even trying to show her emotion toward other people. Noticing this, her mother taught her how to pour her emotions into her song. Azura, already a music prodigy, quickly adapted to this method of expression. What she didn't notice at the time, however, was that the more she got used to expressing her emotion through music, the more her facial expression feel... "fake".
Despite various setback, Azura did end up making a friend she felt genuinely close with. Her name was Lorelei, a deer faunus and an apprentice of Azura's father. While Azura is a maestro of concerts, Lorelei is a master of blade. Both Azura and Lorelei couldn't be more different than each other, and yet both of them shared a seemingly inseparable bond with each other. Azura found Lorelei's presence to be comfortable, and Lorelei enjoy telling her absurd stories toward Azura as the latter listened to her in silence. However, the bind they have nurtured over the years shattered when Lorelei expressed her desire to join the White Fang. Azura tried to persuade her friend against joining the terrorist group, arguing that their method were too cruel. Lorelei dismissed Azura's words, claiming that the latter know nothing about the suffering of faunus as despite being raised by faunus parents, Azura is ultimately a human and she shouldn't judge the White Fang by their mean of conduct as Lorelei considered their end goal to be noble. The two friends went their separate way, promising never to see each other again.
Heartbroken, Azura cannot accept the fact that her closest friend left her just like that. She planned to bring back Lorelei at all cost, and thus Azura began her training with her father under the pretense that she wished to be a hunter. To say that she had no talent when it comes to combat is an understatement, yet she persisted and eventually managed to impress her father and even developing her own style of fighting with her modified flute. While training under her father, Azura secretly tracked the activity of White Fang and all her clues lead to Mistral. When she is finally of eligible age to attend a hunter academy, Azura requested her parents that she'd be allowed to attend Mistral, much to her parents' dismay. Her parents reluctantly let her go, believing that she'd be capable enough to live far away from the family.
