It is the year 0171 of the New Solar Era, nearly two centuries have passed since mankind's first steps into the frontiers beyond the sky.


80 years ago a series of cataclysmic disasters, both natural and man made, rendered portions of the earths surface all but unihabitable. In response to this, the weakened and desperate nations of the world reformed the United Nations into a more unified system under the banner of the United Earth League.


Under the UEL the world began to slowly recover from the Disaster, but at what some perceive to be at the cost of many personal liberties. In response to this many of the earth's elite chose to emigrate to the then new frontier colonies, greatly increasing the standard of living as they brought in many of the luxuries that had once been exclusive to earth. Seeing this, many people on earth began to aspire to move to the colonies as well in search of better living and freedom. Within 50 years, nearly a 3rd of the earth's 11 billion citizens had made their lives in space.


For a time the world was at peace, those who lived in the colonies lived one way and those on Earth lived theirs'. However this began to change when 10 years ago a major development project that was attempting to construct a colony near the asteroid belt exploded, killing thousands and costing numerous major colonial corporations trillions and sending the entire economy into a major rescission. While the cause for the "Belt incident" was never official discovered, a small but vocal faction began to form around the rhetoric that the League had somehow been involved and had planned the whole thing in order to make the colonists more dependent on earth. This faction was largely ignored until a few years later when a lone bomber with loose connections to the group managed to destroy a League transport at dock and kill roughly a hundred servicemen and women while injuring many more. In response to this the league formed a task force known as JOTUN with the mission statement of hunting down any potential terrorists before they could do any damage. With fairly limited oversight, it wasn't long until JOTUN began abusing it's power, mass abductions, assassinations, the works. Predictably this lead to more sedition as numerous loose anti-JOTUN factions began to form and resist.


This rebellion came to it's head one year ago, when the scattered factions came together under the banner of the Free Colonial Forces and revealed their trump card to the world at large, a decommissioned space colony long forgotten had been repurposed into the single largest bomb ever created. In a stand-off with the UEL forces the FCF made their demands, including the total dissolution of JOTUN and full autonomy for the colonies. Neither side was willing to back down and the UEL made a desperate attempt to destroy the colony bomb before it could be used. They failed and the bomb landed near Berlin killing roughly 30 million in the blink of an eye.


The conflict has claimed more than a billion lives on both sides and people are horrified by the atrocities committed both by those who desire control and those who would break free. Exactly 1 year has passed since the rebellion began, They are at a stalemate.

Waylev's MS anchored itself to the body of the asteroid and watched as the others followed suit. Their strike force was nothing to scoff at. 8 JOTUN Jegans with the element of surprise would be a terrifying prospect on its own in most cases, but today they'd been assigned a powerful ally in the form of a new Gundam-type machine. Hal was almost shaking in anticipation to see what it could do.


"Alright everyone, listen up. We have word that the FCF are using this colony as a testing ground for some new prototype suit. Naturally, the powers that be would rather that it never leaves the testing phase. So our objectives are as follows: Acquire or destroy the prototype as necessary, same goes for any data surrounding it. Destroy any hostile mobile suits we encounter on the way in, and capture or kill any enemy combat personnel you come across, this includes pilots and ground combatants." Hal looked over the scans of the colony entry dock.


"The colony entrance is moderately well defended, approximately 6 Zakus and a pair of Rick Doms. This will make stealth a bit of an issue, so we'll go with a lightning raid." The lieutenant flipped a switch, bringing up Lupe on his view screen.


"Brier, You and the Gundam will take point. Ikari and I will fall in with you and cover you with our stealth fields. We'll get in close and hit them before they can react then everyone else will fall in behind us." Hal let the tiniest inkling of a smirk slip through.


"let's see what that Gundam can do." With that he motioned to move forward.

"Shit shit shit shit." Alexis wore her spacesuit as she navigate her self throught the ship, toward the hangar where they kept Evalach. They didn't say anything about Evalach's maintenance, and they didn't say anything again when the maintenance is finished. She was sleeping when she suddenly received the order to deploy. She put on her helm as she float out of the hallway, seeing Evalach who are still being connected to cables. She gestured at the worker around, telling them to pull everything off so she can catch up with the rest of the team. She doesn't want to miss the fun, after all.


Alexis approached the cockpit and pressed a small button, opening it, and quickly climbed inside. As she booted the system, she could hear the sound of the cables being pulled off. Soon, the system started and Alexis sat on the pilot seat. She did one quick check to see that everything is ready now, and quickly informed the command center. It took a while for her to receive her clearanece, but when she finally did the hangar was already cleared out of workers and the gate have been opened.


"Evalach, moving out." Alexis reconfirmed, before being launched into space. As soon as she stabilize her self, she opened Evalach's wings and raised her speed to catch up with her team. "Lieutenant Waylev? I just got the order to sortie with you. Hopefully you guys haven't start the party yet."

"Understood, lieutenant. This Gundam will wipe out the FCF forces in no time." He responded coldly as he progressed into the colony entry dock. Unlike the lieutenant, Lupe had little interest in exterminating FCF, but he did enjoy the trill of combat and with the Gundam he was piloting he was confident that this sortie would be an enjoyable one. A smile formed on his face at the thought of the upcoming battle especially if the enemies prototype comes into play. With that image in his mind Lupe moved his mobile suit forward entering the dock slowly in order to prevent detection. While ambushes weren't his favorite method of combat orders were orders and this was definitely a stealth mission that he did not intend to botch.


A few Zaku's wouldn't be much of a challenge for his mobile suit, but coupled with a Rick Doms they could be a danger if he was on his own. Luckily, he wasn't as he had the lieutenant and Ikari backing him with a stealth field to prevent detection. "These poor fools won't even be able to put up a fight." Lupe mumbled as he focused in on the Zaku he planned to eliminate first. Suddenly his focus was interrupted by the noise over coms which was corporal Schwald. "They'll dock your pay at this rate for being late to sortie Schwald." Lupe said while shaking his head. Another addition to their forces just meant that the battle would be more one sided this was turning out to be massacre their was no way the FCF would be able to stand up to their forces at this rate.

"Why are they trying to cross Dinn and Zaku?" Akito asked his operator Mika from the cockpit of the 00 Quanta. He was observing the prototype suit. It was meant to be a new form of atmospheric flight MS they were planning to use in an invasion of Earth. The zaku was good basic unit for ground combat but a Dinn is good in the air so the aim was more or less clear. "Well lets look at the big picture. If they pull this off who knows what else they can cross and what new types of Mobile suits that could come out of this." She replied. Akito more or less saw that coming so he posed a different question. "Why am I out here?" She scoffed and replied "To make sure none of the drone damage it too badly. They couldn't supply good drone and these ones are prone to malfunction." Akito sighed and watched as the suit moved around with its wings out and showered GM drones with bullets riddling them full of holes.


Then he felt it the feeling of someone else bearing down on him or rather two pressures out there. He tensed up and so did his suit. He was kind of glad to be in his suit at the moment. The four Mass produced gundam based suits swiveled their heads as if wondering why Akito seemed like a all hell was going to break lose. But they aren't any formmof newtype so they wouldn't feel it like Akito did. The 00 Quanta began emit GN particles as Akito activated the systems of his suit. "Guys I am feel like the sky is about to fall. They say when newtypes feel like this it's never good." Akito said into the comms.

Kellville Colony Landing Bay

With the combination of asteroids and stealth fields, ambushing the Colonists was no problem. Clutching the rock he was hiding behind. The Lieutenant signaled to the others to make sure everyone was in position.


"Briar, Shwald. On my mark rush the Doms. Me and Ikari will work on getting the door open. Once the shooting starts we'll have a few minutes at most before the security forces have time to respond, so be quick."


After a moment of pause the signal went up and the Jegans shot out of hiding and opened fire on the Zakus. Harvey himself managed to shoot through one on his way to the hanger. The massive steel door seemed would be impossible to pull open. He motioned to Ikari who reached for a large box shaped device on the back of his suit.


Hal looked back and watched the fight unfold. Most of the Zakus had been taken down almost immediately but a few had made it to cover. He took a second to take a few pot shots at one that had left its back exposed.


Ikari typed in a few commands into his console before giving the all clear. With that they both pushed away and found cover. The massive explosion echoed through the colony. The fight was on.

"Roger!" After receiving the command to engage Lupe's suit dashed forward and took a shot straight at the Zaku before it had time to react hitting it straight in the suit's cockpit killing the pilot immediately. His goal was simple cut down the Zakus while advancing on the Dom's which was the most dangerous in the group. Thrusting past the now lifeless Zaku Lupe laid his eye on his real target the Dom who was taking aim on Schwald. With a precise shot he managed to hit the Dom in the arm throwing off his aim causing his shot to fly off and hit a distant asteroid. Unfortunately, this caused two Zaku's to turn the attention to Lupe and open fire. Using his suit's shield to block their fire he returned with a shot to one of their head's destroying his view before firing a few more rounds into his chest destroying the suit.


While the second Zaku retreated behind cover Lupe broke off to pursue the Dom's once more however, one of the Dom's had advanced on him with a beam saber trying to get the jump on Lupe in close quarter combat. Dashing back to avoid the Dom's weapon Lupe released his own rifle and pulled out the beam saber in his suit's left arm. As their sabers clashed Lupe deftly dodged his opponent's blade and cleaved through the Dom separating the upper half of the suit from it's legs.

Approaching Lagrange 4 colony "Kellville"

"Nah, not my fault. I'm going to blame the maintenance workers." Alexis said, defending herself. It took her a while, and as she approached the colony she could see flashes of explosion from far away. She groaned at the sight, but still replied the Lieutenant's order with a firm "Roger!". It will take her several minute before she got into her firing range, so Alexis decided to deploy the funnels. She clicked a button on her controller and send the funnels out. She controlled them to go forward, chasing after the two Zaku who ganging up on Brier before turning away to hide behind cover. That make them easier to kill. Alexis have 24 funnels stored in her binders, and she make sure that each Zaku will be shot by 12 funnels. The funnels danced in space, moving around to get into their best angle for a killing shot, and a moment later a they shot out a beam out of their small machine. It hit the Zaku, destroying their head, melting their cockpit, severing their arm or leg. It only take one shot to finish them, the pilots are now turning into a chunk of meat.


"All clear?" Alexis asked Brier. "Should we follow them in? I'd rather stand guard out here and wipe out any incoming security force."

(I was waiting for Newtype or Maximus to post, but it's been like a day so I guess I'll just go ahead.)


Amidst the fighting two more of Halvey's Team had made their way into the hanger. With the forces outside occupied, the 4 mobile suits slipped inside. The ride down the industrial shaft leading towards the colony was silent save for the breathing of the pilots and the faint sounds of fighting behind them.


Lieutenant Waylev took off the helmet of his normal suit and unzipped the top just enough to let him breathe a bit easier. He didn't want to admit it, but he was nervous. He didn't like anything about this mission. It was too far away from any friendly Forward operating bases and their wasn't nearly enough information to justify it. The only thing he really knew about this elusive prototype was that no one knew all that much about it, and with both a Gundam and that recovered spacenoid suit here he was beginning to wonder if he and his men weren't just here to see what the enemy could do.


The inside of the colony was unsurprisingly a vast city-scape. The 4 mobile suits moved down into the streets for better cover from any threats that may have noticed them. Halvey immediately noticed something was off. The streets were empty, no civilians, no abandoned cars, not even a hint of movement he could see.


The only signs of life seemed to be a large oddly shaped facility on the far end of the colony, which common sense dictated was probably the test facility. Faced with no real other options given their time constraints, the squad started making their way towards the base. But Hal couldn't stop himself from wondering, where were all the guards?

"Anki, call Akito Kensei" Touching buttons as he sees the Earth Units attacking." Well sir, sorry If I'm late but I found some weak points in the enemy troops" Scrolling through codes as he looks at the units and finds 4 mobile suits have apparently got inside the colony. Smiling as he targets the units and releases his homing missiles" That should slow them down" Still communicating to Akito. The colony had been empty, built has a city but now turned into a facility to make prototypes. "Coming from his position he activates his Mobile Suit's Electric Spear and stands amid the smoke to strike random Mobile suits. All he could see was a enemy unit go down as he jumps out of sight before the smoke clears up.

Akito from within the large dome facility heard the sounds of an enemy attack. He quickly turned to the four other pilots of the Quantum Force. "You four guard the protoype and escort it to our ship. I'll hold them off and if worse comes to worse have the pilot bail out and destroy it." He orded. He received a collective "Roger!" in return. Akito then activated the thruster of the 00 Quanta which weren't detectable due to the GN particles the speed difference could be told but GN Drive MS thrusters don't normally produce that flash other thruster systems do. He contacted his operator "Open the door then ceal it shut behind." The response was the opening of the door to the facility. He flew out of it and then received Raika's tranmission. He saw Raika was already raising hell upon the enemy.


As he neared he began to spread GN Particles over the area to disrupt long range communications. He didn't quite jump into the battle yet but circed around a little bit away from the smoke cloud. His GN Sword V ready to cut or to shoot at a twitch of the trigger. His Sword bits were also ready to release and blitz their enemy at a moment's notice. He wouldn't go for Trans - Am right away but who knows what kind of enemy that Earthnoids have sent.

"We'll hold this position for now. If we go after those fleeing mobile suits some might sneak in and hit the Lieutenant's group from behind." Lupe recovered his rifle that was floating in space and had it at the ready for when the next round of reinforcements arrived. Undoubtedly more would becoming to protect the prototype inside. "Keep ready we don't know when they might arrive there's also the chance we might receive orders to support the commander if the prototype is combat ready." He was itching to face that mobile suit in combat and see how much of a challenge it would be.


As it stood he hadn't needed to go all out yet with how weak the enemy forces had been. In fact now that he thought about it wasn't it strange how weak the guards at the entrance were considering what they were protecting. "Schwald something doesn't seem right about this mission..." He said with a grin forming on his lips. The idea of some unknown plan that the enemy might have filled him with excitement.

"Aye aye." Alexis replied. She took out an energy bar and started eating it while keeping her eye on the radar. And then, Brier mentioned that something isn't right about the mission. She have suspected it from how it's been 3 minutes and no reinforcement coming their way. "I don't like it too. I mean, it's been three minutes and yet there is no reinforcement coming our way. We should contact the Lieutenant..."


Alexis pressed the comm button on her helmet. "Lieutenant? You there?"

"What the--!?" Halvey jetted back and weaved between the buildings trying to dodge the barrage of missiles. Ducking behind one of the sturdier structures he received the Corporal's message.


"We've come under fire from an unknown mobile suit. It's strong, so I'm assuming it's our prototype. So far we're holding but--" The Connection began to fade and Raika's picture disappeared in a field of static.


"What the hell?" Halvey knocked against his computer screen to try and get the call back. Something was distorting his communications. Looking around he saw another mysterious mobile suit approaching. A large Gundam type emitting a strange light. To say these odds looked unfair would be an understatement. But Halvey didn't come all this way to leave empty handed. He reasoned that If even part of his message had gotten through to the outside then reinforcements would be on the way any second now.


If anything he'd just wished he could have radioed the ship to get the reserve forces out, but at the moment the King Corona was probably too far out to get here in time to be of any help. No, for now it was going to be his own skills keeping him alive. Waylev motioned for his squad to go after the prototype, he trusted them not to die easily. As for himself, he went after the Gundam, if he could knock out whatever was generating those particles he could start communicating with his forces again.


He launched directly at the Spacenoid Gundam and unleashed a barrage of beam fire directly at his chosen opponent.

Alexis tried to reach him again but hear nothing but static. "Brier, there's something that jamming their communication inside. Seems like all the colonist are inside..."


Alexis grabbed her mobile suit control tightly. She wanted to go in and join the fight, killing them together with Lieutenant before they kill her teammates first, but she can't risk her team hit from the back if reinforcements suddenly appear out of nowhere. And if this is truly a trap set up by the colonist, they will come. She sighed and pressed the communication button again. "Brier, you can go inside to see what's going on and help them. I can guard the entrance all by myself."

"I see how it is!" Akito said over the open comm channel to the custom Jeagan firing on him. The Quanta became surrounded in a GM Particle field to deflect the beam shots of the Jeagan as it came forward, the Quanta moved towards it as well. At the last second he dropped the GN Field to feint to the left to evade the blaster fire and quickly readied the GN Sword V for CQC. The Quanta swung its blade with the aim to cleave the enemy rifle into two.


As this went on a black Archangel class ship pulled out the back of the facility followed by a Baikal class ship. The Archangel Class ship was the ship of the Quantum Force known as the Quintessence while the Baikal class was a ship from the Republic. The Quintessence turned to leave the colony and while the Baikal class ship began to offload Zaku Warriors and GINNs to join the battle.


The Baikal class ship then turned to follow the Quintessence an alternative exit from the colony. A few of the GINNs went to go engage the other mass produced suits but the rest went began to fall back once the realized the enemy weren't plentiful within the colony and this couldn't possibly be the whole force they sent.

"DAMN!" Halvey's Jegan jerked back as his rifle was cleaved in half. He wasn't expecting something so big to be able to move so fast, and with that light continuing to spread things were looking more dire by the second.


"That suit of yours isn't bad..." Halvey had heard the pilot speak, and though he wasn't sure if the call went 2 ways, he figured it was worth a shot to try and reach out. At the very least he might be able to by himself time to think of a plan and if he was really lucky he might even get some real answers.


"... And it looks like you're no slouch yourself." He looked down at the metal stump that used to be his beam rifle and discarded it.


He drew out his beam saber and leveled it towards the enemy. Lunging forward he managed to lock blades with his enemy. His blood began to boil as he saw enemy reinforcements appear in the form of several Ginns, and he began to worry about his forces outside the colony. But he kept his collected tone and continued to talk to the Pilot.


"I didn't know the colonists had the resources to build any new Gundams, let alone something so advanced."


If he could stay close enough to him he could at least lower the chance that the grunts would take a shot at him. As far as he'd experienced, no one was dumb enough to risk damaging a Gundam in a friendly fire accident.

 

[Maximus]

"They think I'm the prototype pshh.." he talked to himself as he used his thrusters to fly up then fire another barrage of missiles down at the enemies. "Time to show them the true power of Anki has he quickly falls down and activates the electric force field around him. Quickly hacking into the system of one of the enemies" I see you are trying to go after me huh? Well don't or I will override your gundam " making a sneaky smile as he disconnects then activates his electric Spear and jams it into a random enemy unit.

 

[Unlucky]

"Heh since when did you start giving the orders Schwald." He said grinning after hearing that the prototype was active "If it gets to rough make sure to fall back as quickly as possible. Dying while guarding the entrance isn't exactly heroic." With that last comment Lupe turned his mobile suit around and dashed into the colony going full speed; he had every intention of reaching that prototype as soon as possible. "Lieutenant can you read me? This is sergeant Brier moving in to support you." His coms were only getting static as he tried to radio Waylev to tell him back up was on the way.

(I'm not sure who's waiting on who. I think I'm waiting on newtype I guess. I'm gonna start on a new character so that I can act post even this one is tied up, but I might not have that up until tomorrow/much later today.)

"If you think the existence of a gundam is surprising wait till you see what else this machine with me in it can do!" Akito replied. The GN Sword V lit up with the energy charged into allowing it to deflect a beam saber beam. Then the 6 six sword bits attached to the gn shield on it's other arm deployed with the aim of taking out the limbs and main camera of this custom Jeagen. Also with the open arm the Quanta drew one of its beam saber and swung aiming for the cockpit of the Jeagen. The plan was to get the Jeagan to back off and take out it's limbs or take out the pilot while locked in CQC.


The two Republic Ships e!emerged outside an entrance to the colony more towards the rear of its structure. The Quintessence and Baikal Class ships increased thrust to maximum battle speed to put some distance between them and the colony. They were covered by the suits deployed by the Baikal Class ship as they were a


alert watching for the enemy that had taken out the forces at the door of the colony.

No human reaction time could keep up with the amount of hurt that was headed in Waylev's direction, but damned if he wasn't going to try. Doubling back after the Gundam shoved him off, Halvey attempted to use his sword to deflect the incoming shield bits, but to no avail. The first wave of Bits manged to mangle his suit's legs and damage his thrusters. With his movement already severely impared the Jegan was in no shape to avoid the Gundam's own attack.


With the last of his suit's power Hal manage to move just enough to avoid a fatal blow, but only just. The sword connected with the front of the cockpit and sent pieces of super heated shrapnel peppering into different parts of his body, a piece even clipping clean through one of his eyes.


With neither himself nor his suit having anything more to give the jegan fell from the sky, crashing through the roof of some building or another. Pain and fear certainly weren't absent from his mind as he stared through the gaping hole that had once been his cockpit. But as blood filled his remaining good eye, he stared enraptured at the white devil that had broken him and quietly accepted his new purpose in life. No matter what, he was going to pay back that Gundam for this defeat.

Guarding the entrance to Lagrange 4 colony "Kellville"

Alexis was chilling inside her cockpit when several bright dots appeared on her radar. She quickly put her hand back on the controller, glancing at the radar screen while trying to see where these people are hiding. Looking from the number and how several dot are bigger than the other, it's a ship with several mobile suits deployed to... escort them? To watch the colony? Or preparing to attack. Alexis don't know which side they are on, but it doesn't look like they are in their side. She decided to be in alert, and find a way to tell her teammates of what's going on.


"Brier? Lieutenant?" Alexis pressed the button of her communicator, trying to get them in touch. There's nothing but static, but she have to keep trying. "We got company. It is unknown whether they are friend or foe, but since they are not trying to make any contact with me they probably are colonist... Brier? Lieutenant? I repeat..."

"Anki we are leaving." Akito said over the comes. The result of his latest tactic was unexpected but gave him room to leave now. "Ginn units pull back to ships as well." He ordered as the sword bits reattached to the Quanta. He then turned around and flew at his top speed out of one of the alternate entrances to the colony. He emerged once again in the dotted darkness of space. He could see the two ships a little bit away from the colony and flew towards them followed by several GINN. The main cannons of both vessels were primed for shooting on alert for anyone on the team's heels, though the shots would be more so warning shots to get the enemy to back off a bit.

"Already?" He whined over the comm as he turns off his electric force field and runs back to though the entrance of the colony he had come out off. Trailing after Akito and several GINN. "You want me to blast them off with my missiles?" Aiming his missiles at one of the ships. "Now let's see, The sips contain reinforcements I recommend we blast or at least damage their ships"
