Fantasy Gifted|Always Open

He wasn't angry, Jeonghan relaxed a bit. He wasn't angry. Then he mentioned school. "Oh, right." He made himself start walking. "I, um, I'm Jeonghan, by the way." He told him, knowing he had to try making friends here.

Maverick now seemed like a super-villain. William thought that was kind of funny, as evidenced by short laugh the escaped him after she finished speaking, pranks he could handle. And magic tricks? He was the master. He had a very distinct feeling that this was going to be a very fun experience, new friends, stuff to do, and new things to learn. He had always enjoyed learning what he could do with magic. But he had to agree with Bernard, he didn't exactly like the idea of being feared. "I agree with Bernard, surviving school is pretty high on my list of things to do."

Maverick gives a cute pout before releasing the boys and crossing her arms on her chest. "Fine. I'll do it myself. You'll thank me one day." She yawns. "All my babbling makes me sleepy." Maverick looks at the boys. "So what kind of person are you guys? Human? Wizard?"

@avis @Zombg

William was the first to answer, he was very proud to be a wizard. He wasn't the kind to gloat, or brag about himself, but if someone asked, he had no problems explaining what he was. "Wizard." He said, happily.

"Wizard," Bernard answered, waving a hand in front of him to do some darkness magic. A wave of shadows appeared before him, with occasional grey glints in the dark. He put his hand down, and the darkness faded away, leaving only a few gray sparkles behind. He quite enjoyed his wizard status, magic being pretty much a toy to him.

"This is the longest six minutes of my life!" Alistar groaned as she streched. She looked around and saw some other people had shown up, and sighed. "I seriously hope I'm not the only Bloom here. That would be ackward."

William hadn't even thought of showing off his magic, which surprised him a bit, it was something that he loved using, no matter what the reason was. As if he needed one. "Oh, right, I should probably..." He flexed a hand, a few shards of ice formed on it. "...there we go."

Maverick turns to both of the guys with light in her eyes. "Whoa! Really? You too? That is awesome! I'm a witch but...kind of a novice at it. I always manage to explode things if I'm not paying attention." She places a hand on her left side of her hip and the other rubbing the back of her head sheepishly.Her tan cheeks getting tinge shade of pink. She looks at Bernard's magic and awes. "Oh so cool shadow magic! I should probably show you something!" She grabs a bottle of water from her bag and opens the cap. Once she opens it, Maverick takes a deep breath and concentrates on making a bubble. But unfortunately, what was looking like a success caused an explosion. Water spills on the three of them and the bottle literally lights on fire. "O-oops. I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm terrible at this!" She wines and sort of laughs at herself unsure how to feel.

@Zombg @avis

"Hey, hey, it's fine, Maverick." William chuckled, gesturing at the flames, it took a bit of concentration, but soon enough he managed to quell them with the cold. "Heck, I can't count the amount of times I froze one of my limbs by mistake when I was still a newbie. It's just a matter of practice, right Bernard?" He looked over at Bernard, cocking a brow, he really hoped that he would back him up on this.

@XXXIwolf @avis

"Of course," he began, wringing out the end of one his shirt sleeves. "When I was a beginner, I blew up my room. Took about 3 months to clean that up. So chin up kiddo, this little slip-up will be fixed with a change of clothes."

Of course, he wasn't exactly
happy to be soaking wet, but he'd deal. Fighting was too much of a mess anyway, and getting mad was overrated.

"...which I don't have readily available." William chuckled, shaking his head a bit as he did. Not exactly ideal, by any stretch of the imagination, but he had been in situations that were much worse than this one. "Oh well, could be worse, right? At least the water didn't start boiling when it exploded. That's a situation I would not have been prepared for, in the slightest." Another chuckle.

Maverick wipes away a tear and sniffles. "Okay. Thank you. Note to self. Do you think you guys could tutor me? I mean if you guys are willing?"

William shrugged, looking over at Bernard. "I guess I can do that. What about you Bernard?" He had no problems giving her a bit of help if she needed it. This first day was going amazing.

"Sure, I guess. It'll give me something to do this year at least." Admittedly, he had never tutored before, and never really wanted to, but it was worth a try. Besides, he wanted to avoid any more disasters like this if possible.

"Oh! Thank you! I promise to do my best and try and not get you caught up in my exploding magic. Though I will be honest. I've never used regular fun magic. I've mostly used magic to fight." She frowns. "My family...is not exactly normal." She sighs.

@Zombg @avis

"Fighting, huh? That's a shame, casual magic is a hoot." Bernard had never been in a fight, but he assumed they weren't fun. Fun to watch maybe, but actual participation in them sounded horrid. The family comment worried him a bit though. What kind of family makes their kid fight? And what kind of families were too chicken to fight themselves. Seriously, if anyone in a family was going to fight, it should be the older ones. That was Bernard's thoughts on it at least.

"There isn't a 'normal' family alive, Maverick." William states, his tone matter-of-fact. "Even if that's a bit... upsetting. And that's saying the minimum." He sighed, and shook his head, eyes closing. "I'm sorry."

"So I've heard." She then turns to William. "Don't be sorry. You have nothing to apologize for." She puts on a fake smile to assure them. "I'm fine. I just wish my powers are easy and fun to use. I heard my magic works unless..." She pauses to remember.

William waited for her to finish her sentence, cocking a brow. He knew how hard it could be to remember things like that sometimes, so he was going to be patient with her. He was quite curious, as well.

"Unless..?" That was weird. Bernard had never heard of a magic with a prerequisite before. It was all 'wave your hand and yay stuff' that he knew. It was odd to think that there was something you couldn't do, or maybe have on you when you cast it. Of course, there were casting mistakes you weren't supposed to do, and now that he thought about it, that was probably what Maverick was getting at.

William chuckled, and shook his head a bit. This girl was a slight airhead, from what he could tell. Oh well, there were worse things that a person could be. He didn't even think about what she had said about her magic. "Well, that happens, I suppose."

"Eh, I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually." The one thing that would keep your magic from working was a pretty important thing to forget. Another thing Bernard resolved to deal with for now. He figured Maverick's emotional state was...pretty fragile to say the least, so he held back his sarcastic remarks.

William walked over to a nearby railing, and took a seat, yawning a bit and taking a sip of his coffee. He wasn't used to getting up so early at the moment, so he wasn't exactly feeling well-rested. "Yeah, you'll remember at some point."

Maverick decided to stay silent this time and wait for the gates to open. She hums a bit as she sits on the stairs.
