Maverick couldn't help but laugh at his joke or if it even was one. She was a klutz herself. This was one of the examples. Her crashing into boys. Maverick turns to the boys on the floor forgetting she caused this. She would always seem to go off topic. The girl gasps and kneels down beside Logan and William. "Oh! Oh! I'm very sorry please don't hate me for this. I'm still new to skating." She helps Logan up.

"I'm fine, pal. Thanks for asking." With a sigh, William climbed to his feet, he was definitely going to feel that in the morning, he cracked his back one he stood, wincing a bit. He was a bit angry, but he tried his best to hold it back, it was his first day. He really didn't want to get into an argument yet, especially if it could be avoided. "And yeah, I'm glad that she at least warned us. Thanks for the warning, by the way. And don't worry about it, it happens," he said, turning his head to look at Maverick.

Maverick looks up at William and makes her eyes water. She hugs the man tight. "Thank you much! Not a lot of people forgive me! I thought I would have to beg for mercy or curl up and die for my mistakes again! Waaaah!"

William paused. That was unexpected. And he had no idea how to react, he just did the only thing that came to mind. Gently, he patted her back, awkwardly. "Uh... there, there...?"

"Uh, hate to interrupt such a moment, but did you say 'die for my mistakes again'?" Bernard asked, taking on a more confused expression. He sincerely hoped she had just slipped up the wording there. Going to school with a zombie did not sound fun, even if she was a...high functioning zombie.

 

[Pumpkid]

Maverick pulls away and smiles. "Oh that! I didn't mean it literally. I just meant my hopes and dreams. If that were to happen then....then..." She pauses for a moment to think and saddens. "Then the world has confirmed that I'm just not meant to exist or be happy. Anyways! My name is Maverick Reyes!" She wanted to change the subject. She hated being unhappy.

William chuckled, shaking hid head a bit. "William Price, you guys can just call me Will." He said, smiling at the two. "Nice to meet you both." He looked over at Bernard, and cocked a brow. "And, uh, unless I didn't hear it, I don't think you've told us your name, would you mind?"

"I'm Bernard Allen, and it's been a pleasure meeting you all," he replied, returning the smile. Despite the general cheery mood, he couldn't help but feel a bit bad for Maverick. Sure, her feelings were none of his business, and therefore none of his concern, but he still felt rather bad for her.

"Nice to meet you too, Bernard." William said, nodding, he paused for a moment, before speaking again. "Do you guys think we should move up toward the entrance? The doors are probably going to open up pretty soon. Might as well be close."

Logan woke up. He had fallen asleep while standing.

 

[Zombg]

William glanced over at Logan, and chuckled lightly. "You okay, Logan? That fall was pretty nasty, and I'm pretty sure you got the brunt of it." Another chuckle left his lips. "Sorry, I just found that whole thing slightly funny."

"Sounds like a good idea, we could get a head start on things, figure out where our classes are and the like." His other idea was to cherry bomb a few toilets and maybe grab a coffee at the school cafeteria, but that was before he made some...well, could they be called friends yet? He just classified them as 'acquaintances' for now.


Logan had apparently just woke up, and while Bernard would've rather just gone, he guessed he'd stay to chat until everyone had decided to get going.


"You took that skateboard really well. I dare say you have a promising career as a crash-test dummy," he jested.

 

[Frisky Bitz]

Logan looked over at William and nodded. "Yeah, I'm alright...What I should be concerned about is how I didn't fall over when I fell asleep."

 

[Pumpkid]

"Yep!" Is all Maverick said. She walks towards the gates. Beside the fact that all of this commotion happened, she felt really embarrassed about the whole thing. 'You're an idiot Rick. You're lucky these guys didn't beat you to a pulp or yell at you. Although...they forgave me so easily. It was nice. Maybe this school has lots of surprises for me.' She told herself in thought. "I hope I find more than just acceptance." She mutters dazed staring at the school building.

 

[Zombg]

William laughed quietly, and started moving toward the entrance to the building, sipping at his coffee as he moved. Ah, caffeine, the only thing that kept him from being demon-spawn in the mornings, something that he couldn't function without. "I gotta agree with you, Bernard, must have a thick skull," he chuckled lightly, he appreciated a bit of teasing every now and again. "And, how does one manage to fall asleep on their feet? I don't think I've ever seen that happen before."

"Not sure. Boredom maybe. Or narcolepsy." he answered, shrugging. Noticing Maverick had gone, he looked to the school gates, where she had already headed off to.


"We should probably get going, or Maverick's gonna leave us all behind," Bernard said with a smile, pointing behind him.

[Silent Howling]

Ebenezer saw the girl motion for him to come towards her, but before he could start walking he felt someone collide with him. Shocked at collision, he fell forward and blinked a few times before turning his head to face the person who had collided with him while standing up at well. Ebenezer began to stare at the boy in front of him.

Logan wasn't really paying attention. He just followed everyone else.

"Way ahead of you, buddy." William said, chuckling as he walked past. He was excited, to say the least, new faces, an interesting school and plenty of stuff to learn. He had never been happier to be a wizard, that was for sure.

Oh, crap. The guy fell over. Jeonghan was definitely nervous as the guy kept staring at him. "I'm sorry." He repeated. "I didn't mean to knock into you, I really didn't. Are you okay? I'm really sorry." He had started to speak quickly, figuring he should apologize before the guy could get really angry. "I....I promise it won't happen again." He added finally.

Bernard just playfully rolled his eyes and followed along. Before him were the school gates, the doorway to either heaven, or hell. The place where there was either winning, or losing, no in-betweens. Where you either rose to the top, or dropped out. Where drama was commonplace, and where fights could break out at the drop of a hat. At least, that's what he had gathered from high school movies and books. It all sounded like a huge hassle, but at the same time, horribly entertaining.


"So," he began, stopping at the gates. "First day of school, what are you guys hoping for? Personally, I want to see a fight. Sounds fun. Or maybe a dramatic breakup. A sudden musical number would be nice even."

William couldn't help the small bit of laughter that came from that little statement. It was ridiculous, which made it all the more hilarious. He had to admit, a completely random musical number would be rather entertaining, and who knows? Maybe everybody would know how to dance to it. It would be horribly cliche, but still, he would like to see something of that nature. "Personally? I don't really know. I'm just excited to see how the day goes. Though, I must admit, a spontaneous song and dance routine would be rather interesting."

Ebenezer tilted his head and nodded thoughtfully, "Ah... it's okay. It just... surprised me as well." He began to fiddle with his hands and looked down at the ground before quickly mumbling, "schoolisgoingtostartsoonweshouldheadinside."

 

[Pumpkid]

Maverick turns to Bernard and smiles a bit. "I don't know. Maybe a few hilarious pranks, popular girls get tormented or pranked on. Hehehe. I would also see magic tricks." She shrugs and Snickers just thinking about it. She grabs both William's and Bernard's arm and starts fantasizing. "Would you like to help me? I can see it now soon we will rule the schools and they will fear us. Muwahaha!"

"It might be a good idea to calm down there, buddy," Bernard said calmly, using his free arm to pet Maverick's head. "After all, we are just three teens with a slightly deadly skateboard and dreams of choreographed song and dance numbers. I don't think getting everyone to fear us should be at the top of our to do list. How about...surviving as our top priority for now, hmm?"
