Nation Building Ghost in the Machine

I have another compound that's witnessing the same situation as we' are with the borg swarms.

Maybe I can get them to come over to help our position.

What do think guys?

Galumora's pulling out, hasty escape will be needed for this next bit and no one can say she didn't do her part.

Yo rom... would you say one could use those Nightguard blades if they ripped the arm off? And just how close is buddy boy sticking Galumora's Dredge to its face?

Nope. While individual brace units of those blades do exist, most military issued ones are attached to the nightguard or dreadnought armor systems.

@Jarkov Malachai

Also pretty close, I'd say roughly 5 feet away.

All right, sorry for getting back to you so late, been busy. How much damage do ya think your weapons did to its face?

Not much, it was just small arm's fire, it may have eaten away a few outer layers but otherwise it won't do much initially.

Great, dent in it? that's perfect, say fuck off to your optics you god damned robotic bastards. And yea I kinda figured so, time for the Dredge Drop. My favorite attack ever with these things, only can do it in enclosed spaced though so I haven't had opportunity to use it but our good friend was generous to get close enough

Time to start crunching numbers and figuring out what a slightly crazy half awoken Dredge is gonna do that's Feral and scared out of its ever-loving mind... I actually feel bad for it.

Referring to experience, Mini bosses usually have one fourth the ability as the boss battle for the level. Commonly, this is because the gradual ascension of a character's level includes a higher chance of encountering variations of said mini-boss until it becomes a common enemy and a higher level mini-boss takes its place as a challenge.

But due to half the characters seen here I must concur that making boss characters, mini or otherwise, requires them to be nowhere near the idea of pushover.

Have you looked at these main characters, the leaders of our forces are all practically boss battles in and of their own right. Having the actual enemy bosses be anything less than difficult would be pretty insulting to the venture.

Well we have regular Nafarians, their pretty much just amped up humans with some other features no offense, Captain Veely is a Captain so he commands a sizable force, Holly whos pretty much a Spartan III.

The Swarm which to find the easiest similarity is a much more adaptable and less violent Zerg entity with its creepy ass gravemind.

Dys's guys are all robots more or less and have giant landwalkers...

I think the Ardino's leader and the Borg are the only BOSS worthy characters out there as of the moment... other wise their simply commanders with some serious shit backing them.

Well.... ehh maybe Nagashira. Course shes the only Dredge any one here has seen fight as of the moment

I'm probably pulling the Ardino out. They're not that fun really. Not for me at least.

I actually have. They're not new. They're from an older RP and honestly created as simple attack dogs.

Trels aren't new either but I've never really gotten past their arrival yet.

Until we know what kind of main storyline we'll be following, there's no telling what will and won't be used.

indeed, but I was talking about how you made the Ardino show up and threaten us all then get fucked... that was about it.

Well, in shows of measurement the Ardino would've been able to hold us back for some time, but just not as much as the Borg currently are. And a common way to introduce a main antagonist is presenting a threat which is overcome by a much larger threat. If we ever get off planet, I have no doubt that the Ardino could be reoccurring enemies.

Yea I know.

Also at Grieve

You may not have noticed but it's me leading the plot as the co GM. I've just been busy so rom is helping.

And you may not have noticed but the main antagonist has been revealed. It's the borg dude who I've yet to name.

One: As long as somebody's here to keep it going then take as long as you'd like.

Two: I know he's the main antagonist, he was introduced in exactly the same form that I described so I just assumed.

Three: Reading it was no problem, all I had to do was copy and paste it into a word document and change the font, after that it took only about ten to fifteen minutes to get through.
