Fandom Edge of the Empire and the Age of Rebellion

Pash sat at his now cluttered desk, wondering how he could have put such a short time as 3 hours on his departure, that left almost no time for checks on the new engine let alone the weapons systems. Tim was short however and it was time to check the small token given to him by that pilot. Hey looked at it, datacrystal in makeup but large and pyramidal. It was a strange thing.

Ardana showered and dressed in clothes more similar to those she wore before, having to cinch her belt a little tighter than usual. She pulled the over large sweater back on to fight off the lingering chill and thought of how she couldn't wait to be somewhere warm. She moved from the room and instinctively made her way to the flight deck, settling in the large chair and taking her datapad out to read.

It was time, Pash went to the navcomputer main section and gave it a bunch of co-ordinates for tatooine, before heading up to the flight deck.

"Its time Ardana, co-ords are in, lets go"

She looked up at him and nodded, unfolded her legs. She quickly checked over the Co-ordinates and ran a few astrogation checks to shorten their journey. She hit a few buttons on the console and powered the ship up. She glanced over at Pash as though looking for approval to take them out.

" lets go, i need somewhere warmer dont you?"

So many adventures, so much to see, so many things to do

what lay ahead of them neither new, but they were together again

It was all the convincing she needed and she lifted the ship in to the outer atmosphere. She made piloting look so effortless and in mere moments they were jumping in to hyperspace. 'I have decided Hoth is way too cold for me.' She said with a smile, pulling her legs up to her chest again now that she could leave the ships controls.

Pash meditated, calming himself as he moved his sword in slow motion in the cargo bay, being very careful not to touch any of the expensive equipment in there. He should probably show it to Ardana as some of it may be useful to her, but it wasnt time yet. He sheathed his sword and got into a kneeling position, slowly becoming one with the ship. He had a tough few days ahead, and he needed to make sure they were all ready.

The twi'lek spent hours watching the elongated stars flash by, she read as much as she could as well but mostly she would sit staring in to space. A few times she wondered where Pash was but she figured he was just keeping to himself so she didn't go looking for him. Her thoughts of their mission were kept in the back of her mind, refusing to think of where they were headed or why.

The voyage was over surprisingly quickly for Pash, he did very little apart from meditate. Halfway through he retaught Ardana how to shoot, it wasnt needed. They kissed and made love for hours at a time, not sure if one day was any other at times. It was bliss, for how long they werent sure

She had to fight the oncoming surge of a panic attack as they dropped out of hyperspace just beyond Nar Shaddaa's atmosphere, the planet she had sworn she would never return too. But focusing on her flying she managed to get them planetside and landed in a space port with minimal effort. Questions were beginning to rise up now, how would they get near and how the Hutt would react. Everyone on the planet knew Borvo and almost as many knew about his escaped twi'lek.

Never was there a more retched hive of scum and villainy. Nar Shaddaa could be described in few ways, dependent on who was in control at the time. For now it was a few particular Hutts, and therfore could be described as a beacon of industry in the very heart of the galatic empire. To anyone who saw it though saw it as a cursed stone, easily lost and killed over. One some levels rebels barterred with imperial spies, not knowing if they would be taken in this week or the next, On others, crime lords killed each other over the smallest trace amounts of Gravyspice. Nar Shaddaa was home to the biggest producers of the spice itself, but Pash already knew that Arlak wouldnt be there, that was for another time, another place hopefully....

Even from where they set the ship down Ardana could feel the buzz of business and negotiation in the air. It was a familiar feeling on all of the planets in Huttspace, the constant change and movement that marked it as the hive of activity it was. She was clearly nervous, it was apparent from the closed off way she moved. The humidity was stifling in comparison to the cold of Hoth but she found it more pleasant than the climate of the ice planet. Hesitating in the flight deck she waited until Pash came to join her, still not certain about being here on this hell hole of a planet.

"been a long time eh ardana?" Pash called from the back of the cockpit

"somewhere on that planet is our slug, and I know just how to get him, remember our old friend Mooraga? She owes us a thing or two, and her yacht" tapping a few controls "is just here" pointing at a red dot, a few hundred levels below "civilised Nar Shaddaa"

'I don't know about this Pash.' She said from where she was leaning against one of the consoles, half heartedly adjusting one of her previous astro routes, keeping her mind busy. Her hands stopped moving over the console and she looked up at him, his muscular frame filling the doorway. 'Every time we deal with a Hutt we get double crossed, Mooraga has not been an exception to that rule.' She said folding her arms over her chest.

That was true, but they werent here to work with Mooraga, they just needed the fat slug to work against Borvo, maybe even take them both out in one sweep.

"Well Mooraga does owe us, and it can mean a lot, not as if the Empire can come here if not" The Empire had *Allowed* Nar Shaddaa to operate somewhat freely, as long as it saw its profits

She sighed and stood up straight, as though resigned to what they were about to try and do. She moved to pick up the sword he had given her and sheathed it across her back moving across the cockpit to where he stood. 'Lets go.' She said, her voice emotionless and flat.

They landed on a pad a few klicks rimward of the yacht, Pash wanting to sample the various cargos they could smuggle off this planet, Gravy if possible, weapons if not, he wasnt fussed. He had too much good under his belt now and it was time for something a little bit scummier.

A Toydarian flew up to greet them, greenish skin echoing the disgusting tint in its eyes..........

Once she would have walked boldly beside Pash but now she walked half a step behind, her strides still measured and graceful but with the slightest air of caution in her posture. Her emerald eyes darted about them, never settling on one thing for too long. The fluttering of wings drew her eyes from the crowds around them and she looked up at the repulsive creature. She gritted her teeth determined to regain a hold on who she had been before, trying to capture that effortless confidence she had once possessed. But she couldn't bring herself to speak up and for once was more than happy to leave Pash to do the talking.

"So what do we have here? Y-Teeeeeeeeeeeee....."

"Thatll be 1000 credits? 3 weeks, and no questions" Pash was already handing the money over

"Of course Mr Waugh, of course" The Toyrdarian replied, god it was so easy now he had money, he wondered if he should let slip how much?

She was almost surprised by the way Pash handled the attendant but didn't let it show. Accepting that they had both changed since they had last worked together, she just wished she hadn't changed for the worse. She pulled the hood of her cloak up a little more, hiding in the shadow it cast over her face. It was probably a little much and even though the fabric was light it was still incredibly warm, but she didn't want to risk being recognised by anyone that might report it to Borvo.

Pash was packing somewhat light, he had only a heavy blaster pistol and a satchel full of tricks on him, and it was time to use the latter. He slide a micro-det onto the control panel, syncing it to his com before moving off in under a second. Making sure no one noticed he did it al the way through the spaceport. The explosives would be found in the inspections by sniffer bots, but those wouldnt be for another 6 months yet and he needed and escape route in case air wasnt available. He noticed Ardana looking nervous, and squeezed her arm to try reassuring her.

It was hard to look out of place on a planet like Nar Shaddar, and even with her hood hiding her face no one even cared to cast a second look at the pair of them. She smiled at him from the shadows of her hood, her feline eyes glimmering from the darkness, The squeeze on her arm settled her nerves and she seemed to relax a little more, even stepping away from Pash's side to look at the small stalls that lined the space port. The hem of the cloak trailed on the floor behind her and gave her an air of mystery.

Pash was almost startled when they bumped into a pair of droids, both the silver C-series, one customised with a light blaster

"Excuse us Sir, urgent business" it said loudly, before hurrying off behind its partner.

They had arrived at a market, you could tell because the stench had changed from oil and grease to vermin and filth, exotic 10 creds a pound filth, but filth nonetheless.

"I forgot how much i hate this place" Pash murmered, priming a stun grenade in case

She fell back in to step beside Pash agreeing about their mutual dislike of the place. People clamoured around them, trying to sell their products. Hands ran over her cloak trying to get her attention, and she found her hand moving to where her dagger should have been, feeling a little defenceless without it.

A cantina ahead greeted them, familier music playing and customers muscling to get seats

"When i say jump, unclench your teeth and roll backwards over your chair" Pash said grabbing a table "this could get ugly any second"

Slipping the grenade under the table he attached it, creating a small mine only he could activate

A weequay comes over, drinks in hand "can i help you?"
