Fandom Edge of the Empire and the Age of Rebellion

Through force of habit she parried his sword, stopping him from touching her with the dulled blade. The weapons clashed together with a metallic clatter, and she broke away again, the sword moving to her side. Her pose was open and relaxed but the more experienced eye would see that her muscles were coiled tight ready to react in an instant.

"there we go" he said as he noticed the move "now time for some real sparring"

He moved in, a flurry of attacks at a rock solid defence, sometimes switching hands to confuse Ardana mid move, but that defence was impenetrable

She didn't attack in response, but every time his blade drew near she would move like lightning to block the flurry of attacks. She kept the blade close to her body, making him use the reach of his weapon and despite seeing many opportunities to launch her own attack she held off. She moved one foot back slightly, shifting her weight to better defend, turning her tiny frame to provide him even less of a target.

It was then he spotted the opening, moving forward he swung his blade in a downward arc, arm moving behind his back as he did so. As she parried he slipped a knife out of its sheath and aimed it straight at her belly, swicthing it to training mode at the last second.

She saw the move too late and would have usually drawn her own knife in response. Without it it left her open and she didn't even bother trying to block him. A look of exasperation flickered across her face, she hated loosing. She looked up at him wordlessly as though expecting rebuke.

He flipped the knife round and the handle gently touched her skin. It was a lot more practicle than Ardana's knife had been but Pash had always been that sort of person. A big grip with a finger guard stretching over his gloved hands and a blue-silver blade stretched out just under 7 inches in length. He slipped it back in to the sheath and grinned

"never said id play fair"

She gave him a little half smile her arms dropping to her side. That tension seeped out of her muscles and all the fight she had possessed just a moment before was gone. She touched the point on her stomach where the knife hilt had pressed, an odd phantom sensation lingering there.

'I don't know if I can do this...' She muttered quietly, her eyes dropping at this admission, shame obvious in her tone.

"Well for now I can carry the both of us, but I would appreciate any help"

They had a lot to do, before Pash could even consider coming back to the rebellion

"Brovo first, we can train en route, but we leave tomorrow morning"

She shook her head as again he mentioned Borvo again, her left hand rose to her throat but only found the bare skin of her neck. She had begun to get used to the necklace being gone but it was when the Hutt was mentioned that it filled her with a sense of loss. She lowered the sword to the bedside cabinet and perched on the bed.

"Dont you know? He has it again, half the reason i wanted to head back, he has something that belongs to you"

Pash re-hid the sword above the door and checked the pistol in the hidden pannel, Ardana looked at him oddly

"Pirates, didnt have a weapon to hand and it was annoying, its good to have 3 in every room, Im going look at my armour, back in a sec"

She smiled at him, but the light didn't quiet reach her eyes. Her thoughts too concerned with thoughts of returning to that place. She wondered if it really was any worse than all of the other places she had been, figuring it was just the sheer length of time she had been kept there that made her so resentful. She nodded as he disappeared to check his armour and realised she was anxious to be moving again. She had found no dislike with most of the rebels she spoke too here but being still had never suited her and she longed for the vastness of space and the time alone with Pash that it would bring. She wanted to speak to him about the others, see if he knew where they had been taken, be sure they were ok. She had given up her freedom for theirs, betrayed Pash to save Arlak from the muzzle of a storm troopers gun, she wanted to know it hadn't been in vain.

Pash moved to his workshop, a tiny room filled with clutter, and began to work on his armour. 2 plates needed replacing and the rest of it needed an overhall and sealant or next time he was thrown out in the boiling hot he would burn up. He wondered how the others were doing and decided to head off into the base. He passed several barracks before arriving at a cantine. Several troops were inside and rose when they saw him

"For Frak's sake gents, im not part of this whole thing anymore, no standing for me, nothing like that, back to smuggling it is"

"Karlo, sir, its been an honor" a squadmate said, handing Pash a small object

"Its a focussing lens sir, from a lightsaber, like the jedi used to have!"

"Well why should i have it? if i see a jedi im running the other way, not asking to see if he is missing a lens"

"please sir"

"fine" he sat down with them, and for the next hour they exchanged stories over some warm food, the best Pash had eaten in a long time

Ardana Took the moments solace to read as she so often did. Furthering her knowledge of everything and anything. She thought several times about going to join Pash, but she couldn't quite get the confidence to do so. He had been gone for almost an hour when she took a a deep breath and left the room. She Had changed in to tight fitting trousers and a warm jumper that swamped her figure. She moved from the ship and through the base. Her form would vanish in to the shadows if anyone walked near, not wanting to talk to these welcoming strangers. Until, that was, a hand rested on her shoulder. She turned, fists clenching in defense but relaxing as soon as she saw who it was.

'Nalan.'Ardana said softly, remembering the purple skinned female from the smugglers lair. The pair embraced smiling communicating in Twi'leki with the subtle movements of their lekku.

'You don't look so well. ' The other said holding Ardana at arms length to look at her. The Lethan Twi'lek shrugged and signalled that she had been through some rough times of late.

Rency came into the mess hall and sat down opposite Pash

"Look I know what youre about to do, and its stupid, and its risky, and it could get you both killed, I won't have it"

"Well miss I'm tired of listening to you, so i thought id make it worth your while, there are some heavy explosives in Borvo's we may be able to steal"

"That doesnt excuse the.."

"Look here Rency!" The mess hall went quiet "I will be back, I will bring weapons and men and supplies, I will help us save the galaxy, but I do it MY WAY" He stood, letting his underarmour show through his cloak

"and ill be damned if some liar will stop me" he walked away

The two twi'leks sat in a quiet booth and talked, well Nalan talked and Ardana listened with quiet interest, occasionally nodding to encourage the other to continue. She spoke mostly of the work she had done since joining the rebellion, talk the lethan would usually have grown bored of, but this time she listened carefully with a slight smile on her lips. She had no idea how much time had passed when she heard heavy footfall. The sound of someone irritated, She raised her head in unison with the other twi'lek to see Pash moving along the hall towards them. She instantly began to worry it was something she had done to make him angry at her and watched his approach nervously.

"hey, just had a quick chat with her (making it obvious who her was), im going to go cool off a little outside, com me if you need me"

Pash walked off, picked up a light blaster pistol and shot targets outside, he didnt know rency's poblem, stupid rebel

'Wow whats his problem?' Nalan muttered as Pash disappeared outside. Ardana's green eyes watched him go having only dipped her head in response, she knew better than to try and calm him down. She remained where she was for a while longer until the purple skinned Twi'lek rose and said she had best be getting on with her chores. They hugged and said farewell before she dashed away leaving Ardana alone. She walked slowly in the direction Pash had gone, finding him solemnly shooting targets. She moved in to the room silently, watching him from the far wall.

The targets fell, one by one, Pash upped the speed, moving from left to right different stances, pistol becoming a blur. Switching to his other hand he draws his heavier pistol and destroys a few targets.

He hears a noise and turns towards it, guns up. It's Ardana, stupid grin as he realises she got the drop on him

She doesn't flinch as he turns to her, guns aimed in her direction, she had expected it and just looked back at him with a soft smile. 'You've gotten good.' She said lightly gesturing at the fallen targets, remaining where she was rested against the far wall. There was something, almost shy, about the way she stood there, as though she were guilty for intruding on his training.

"ha, well i have had a few months to practice with these, I hope ill still surprise you though" wait this wasnt some schoolboy thing

"now come here" he said, picking her up and kissing her, blasters still in hand

He seemed to be trying to impress her and she smiled a pure smile that brightened her eyes. She took a few steps towards him and he met her half way. He lifted her and she gave a small squeak, before relaxing against him, wrapping her legs around him. Her lips found his and she kissed him hungrily, surprised by how much his touch still thrilled her.

'Pash.' She whispered as they broke apart, before kissing him once more.

the rushed into the ship, tearing at each others clothes as they did. They slammed onto the bed as Pash turned off the lights and sealed the ship.

They kissed passionatly as Pash began to remove Ardana's winter coat

Ardana pulled him down to her as her back hit the bed her breath rushing from her lungs at the force. Her eyes watched him as he pulled at her clothes, her own hands moving to his jacket. Her cheeks flushed a darker red, as his hands moved over her, her skin tingling even with the barrier of her clothes.

They made love fo hours on end, barely pausing to catch breath in between, but it was over too soon with a knock at the door. It was Pash's squad, half upset to be seeing him go, the other half happy to watch him take a break. All of them were stifling giggles and smirks as he stepped out in a towel.

" I thank you all gentlemen, I leave in 3 hours, anny questions in my quarters please"

Ardana's whole body felt complete when he was with her and when they finally fell back exhausted she lay with an immovable smile on her face. She had been laying across his chest, tracing the lines of his scars, when the knock jolted her from her reprive. She pulled the blanket up around her naked frame as he got up to answer the door. She listened from where she lay, and although startled at how soon they were planning on leaving she was sure that Pash knew what he was doing.
