Fandom Edge of the Empire and the Age of Rebellion

It was then it happened, a feint, a move by Pash, and a sword cut clean across his eyes, his vision going dark as more slashes caused a burning in his chest. He fell to his knees, glancing behind to catch a glimpse of Ardana before the darkness flooded him. He returned to his sleep, thinking of many years before......

"End of the line Tarkin" The Major said, pistol in his hand, troopers around him, facing Pash, guns ready

"Sorry Major, not taking me back to Daddy this time, not like last time" He replied calmly, gun aimed

It was then the Major clicked the detonator, blowing up the building Pash couldnt

"Well Major, wish you hadnt done that one" *ZAP* and the head of the Major was a smoking mess, and Pash fell from the balcony, praying for his safety, and Ardana's

"NO!" She shrieked, all attention rounding on her, she shot. A huge explosion ensuing, sending the knights that had hurt Pash flying. Arlak finished them off and Ardana rushed to Pash's side, falling to her knees beside him. Adrenaline was all that was keeping her conscious, another blaster bolt to the back knocked her forward, keeping her body between Pash and the danger. Her first thought was the transmitter, she pressed it summoning the Imps. She cleaned the blood from his face, he was going to have a nasty scar at least. The only two left conscious were her and Kitano. He advanced on her now, the sparking of the console she had blown up and thrum of the vibrosword the only noise.

"You made a big mistake coming here." He said darkly, and she looked up at him defiantly. His blade raised and she prepared for the blow that would kill her, a hand finding Pash's. But the blow never came, the ship shuddered and alarms began to toll.

"What is this?" The Captian demanded, and she held up the transmitter.

"The reason you don't mess with my crew." She retorted and Kitano turned and ran. Once he was gone she got to work on patching up Pash's wounds as best she could with the limited med kit she carried, using a stim pack to bring him too once again, Once happy he was coming around she moved to asses the other two. Thats when it dawned on her.

"I can't help both." Her supplies were too limited and time was running out. Dovakhin was the worst, he had lost a lot of blood and would need a transfusion, the full extent of his wounds hidden beneath stained fur. "I'm sorry." She muttered to the wookie before moving to the unconscious trandoshan. She had to roll jim on to his back before she could begin to help him. His pulse was still strong and she knew he was strong enough to pull through. She bound his wounds and used her last remaining stim pack to bring him to. When both were stirring she moved back to Pash, once more having to wipe blood away from his eyes and face. Headwounds always bled the worst and he couldn't stand to loose a lot more blood.

"Come on Pash wake up." She muttered, Arlak was already sitting up, groaning in pain but it was taking a lot longer for Pash to fully come to.

".....wake up"

Pash wasnt awake, he was dreaming, seeing things he had never seen, a desert planet, Tatooine, Hutts, Adventure, Destruction. All the people he had ever killed, whether assassinated, or stabbed, or shot. All the things he had helped the empire do, the gun running, the spice moving, the slaving job he almost took on Ryloth. Even after leaving, the incident near the Dagobah system, Naboo. Maybe he deserved to die.....

She sat on the floor, cradling his head in her lap. She could feel herself also fading but she had used all of her medical supplies on the others, she would be fine, she could worry about herself when he was out of the woods. She used one of the few remaining swabs to press against the nasty cut over his face. Her other hand brushed his cheek gently, her eyes filled with worry. Arlak had moved to stand over Dovakhin looking at ardana in a silent question. She just shook her head, solemnly.

"Come on Pash." She said turning her attention back to him.

His eyelids flicked open and she knew instantly that something was wrong. His eyes didn't seem to focus. "It's ok. Just stay calm. hopefully its just flash blindness." She reassured him although she knew it wasn't. "How are you feeling?" She asked, her hand remained against his cheek, holding him still. She wanted to fully asses his wounds before he even tried to move.

"Ill be fine, just get me up" Pash said, using Ardana as a crutch, he wasnt fine, his eyes burned, his chest was a mess, his whole head was ringing and he felt as if he wasnt being told something.

"Where are we? is it over?"

"The Imps are inbound and I recommend we get out of here quickly." She winced as he leaned on her, her head spinning, but he was her focus now. She put his arm over her shoulders to better support him, it was a mistake because of the position of the blaster shots but she focused and started to lead him out of the room, careful whilst moving past the dying form of Dovakhin. Arlak followed, a prominent limp in his stride.

Whatever she was doing, she was hurting herself, Pash tried to help them but almost collapsed

"Im sorry, i failed you again, im so sorry"

"Im fine i can stand" He wasnt sure he could but he could feel the turbolift taking them up

"Wait, i cant hear the wookie, run back to the ship already?" He said jokingly

"He's gone Pash." She said quietly dipping her head, sadness filling her tone. She let him stand on his own but left her hand beside his, inviting him to take it, knowing he would need guiding

Dovahkin, was gone.

Dovahkin who had saved his life on Nar Shadda when Ardana was smuggling something and bounty hunters had come for her.

Dovahkin who had always at least put jokes in to everything

Was gone

He could have saved him, if he had just been better

He held Ardana's hand tight, almost crushing it with his own

"Lets get back on the ship, i dont want to be on this graveyard anymore"

She squeezed his hand back, she could feel the sadness radiating from him.

"Come on, lets go." She led him out of the turbolift and towards the ship. Once they were back on the ship she led him to his bunk. "I'm gonna get us out of here. Get some rest." She said softly.

She fell against him as he pulled her, and she carefully rested her head against the undamaged part of his chest. Her frame shook slightly, an effect of the wounds that covered her frame and the emotions that were building up inside.

"Randy Gammorrean this is the Star Destroyer Victrix, we thank you for your help, please respond"

God damn it, He had better answer that, sliding past Ardana he stood and immediatly toppled over

"Ardana please get us out of here, i dont want to be under anyones watch for a few hours"

"Stay here." She demanded, helping him back on to his bunk. "I'll be back." She said before vanishing. She Moved to the cockpit, Arlak was sat in the co-pilots seat and looked up as she walked in.

"This is the Randy Gamorrean." She responded starting up the engines and taking them out.

"Good work, shame you had to kill so many." Ardana was too tired for scorn

"Appologies, now are we free to leave." Once given the go ahead she put them in to hyperspace and returned to Pash. "I've put us on course to somewhere we can get some proper medical attention." She told him

"Good, now come here please, i wanted to tell you this now, in case i dont make it"

He held his hand for her to join him in the bunk

"Don't be stupid of course you're going to make it." She said indignantly but moved across to sit by him, taking his hand gently. She winced as she sat down but mostly managed to hide her discomfort.

He sat up, dead eyes looking round as if to see her, hand reaching up to touch her face, he stared sightlessley into her eyes

"Ardana, i wanted to tell you something, but right now i think the only way of doing that is this"

And he pressed his lips to hers

Her eyes widened but she didn't try and pull away, in fact she relaxed in to the kiss. Her hands rose to his face and her heart did summersaults. She had wanted this for so long and she was only just admitting it to herself

Her response stopped Pash's heart for possibly the second time that day. His hands held her, the kiss intensifying from sweetness into passion, their hands beginning to wander when Ardana pressed hers to his chest..

"Ouch.... hahah, well, that was a thing"
