Fandom Edge of the Empire and the Age of Rebellion

"I'm sorry." She said pulling away, feeling bad for hurting him. A hand rose to her lips, it felt like electricity was running through them, still shocked by what had just happened. She took his hand and placed it over her heart, it was hammering so hard she thought it was going to burst from her chest.

"Look what you've done." She said with a small laugh

"Ardana, I love you, i have done for a while now, i thought you ought to know" He said, his voice almost breaking under the strain. He kissed her again, savouring the sweet taste as he stayed in the moment, enjoying the fact that there was no one, no one who could ruin this, he reached to the side of his bed and locked the door, sealing it so only that same button would unlock it.

"Now come here" he said, pulling her onto the bunk and into his embrace, kissing her the whole time

Her heart stopped as he uttered those words and she lent in to him, her arms looping carefully around his neck. She watched him move to lock the door, the way he fumbled to find the lock proved her fear that it wasn't flash blindness. But for now she wasn't overly worried because he was kissing her again, pulling her down on to the bunk. When they broke the kiss she touched his face softly.

"I've loved you for a long time." She told him gently her thumb brushing soft circles against his cheek.

He had to remember how to breathe, she loved him back! His hands pulled her against him, kissing her, their bodies moving together as one as hands began to explore on both sides.Due to the nature of their injuries very little happened, but Pash was happy.

They lay together after for hours, speaking everything that had not been said, kissing and touching and not wasting a minute, for they knew in front of the others it could be seen to be so.

It was the first time in her life she had been truly happy, she was very careful of his wounds, and she wished she had the supplies to stitch them. She lay facing him, knowing he couldn't see her, only feel her there beside him.

"Never thanked you." She said suddenly, breaking the comfortable silence they had been wrapped in. "For saving me I mean."

"We are on course with Corellia. We need to get your eyes seen to as soon as possible." She said gently touching his face carefully. "But seriously. Thanks. Without you i'd be dead or worse, still stuck n that place." She said shuddering at the thought.

"And if you handt come along id probably be dead or worse a dozen times, hell without you id be dead on that ship"

Like Dovahkin, damnit that ruined the mood

"Without me you wouldn't have been in that situation to begin with." She retorted, it hurt to sometimes think of what life he might have led if he hadn't helped her. But she was glad none the less that he had. She huddled up against him, loving the warmth and safety he provided.

"Without you i wouldnt have found the love of my life" He said, he didnt want to know where he would have been without Ardana, the pistol she carried an endless reminder of their time together and his freeing her from slavery. He wondered for a second what the others were doing but then went back to the kissing.

"I love you Ardana" he said as she left, moving to meditate and adjusting to his new position, he was blind he knew that much, maybe he would work more on his mechanical skills, find some knowledge would be useful. His father wouldnt be happy but then again, he never was. He hoped Ardana was okay. Probably having to look after them all now...

"I love you too. Now get some rest, doctors orders." She said shutting the door behind her. Arlak had fallen asleep in the chair she had left him in and she checked him over quickly and quietly. Once happy his wounds were bound well she pulled a blanket over him. They would reach Corellia soon and she focused on getting ready to take them planet side. It was only as she sat in the quiet, the adrenaline of the days events wearing off, that she realised how wounded she was. There wasn't a part of her body that didn't hurt and she was beginning to feel faint and woozy. She had to get them down fast.

Pash woke to the sound of the PA, he wasnt sure who it was in his state but Ardana was the only one who really knew how to work it. They must have reached Corellia. Arlak helped him out of bed, his scales surprisingly warm to the touch before Ardana helped him, shoving Arlak as if jealous. He took only his blaster pistol with him, knowing he would be next to useless in a fight, they stepped out onto Corellia and Pash instantly knew they were heading for a med centre.

She supported Pash, using what little of her strength remained to do so. She reached the med center where her stamina ran out, she collapsed. At least she knew the others were in safe hands, she could stop worrying and leave the doctors to help them. Med droids came scurrying to help the three of them, all rushed off for bacta treatments and surgery.

Then Pash felt himself once more plunged into Bacta once more, his chest slowly healing before he was into surgury for his eyes. He blacked out several times as the doctors worked but stayed awake when he could to watch out for Ardana. What felt like days later he woke to almost pitch black, his eyes had been wrapped in a thin cloth, but he could see! He sat up, his wounds mostly gone, to find that he could walk unsupported, all the way to the bathroom, where he turned the lights to minimum and slowly took off the cloth.

The light almost blinded him at first but soon he began to see himself, turning up the lights he inspected his injuries. His chest was now full of scars, his head still looked to be injured a little and his eyes, his eyes and changed colour, when before they were a deep violet they had now become grey with purple streaks, the cut that went acorss them did not help things much.

She spent a long time in the bacta, luckily her wounds were blaster inflicted so she hadn't lost a lot of blood. It was her small stature that had caused problems, bruising had caused large amounts of internal bleeding. She overheard the doctors saying it was a miracle she'd made it to them let alone managed to fly a ship and provide medical assistance to her damaged crew. When she was out of the bacta tanks they still insisted that she remained in outpatients until fully satisfied she was recovered. She hadn't seen the crew in days and she missed them terribly. She wanted to see Pash most of all, still not sure she hadn't dreamed the whole confession.

One night, while still recovering, Pash paid off one of the techs so he could go into another ward to see Ardana, still weak at the knees he entered steathily. Walking up to her still form and checking her over before whispering to her.

"Ardana, wake up!"

The starched white walls of her ward felt like a prison to her and she couldn't wait to be back on the ship. She had dozed off and gentle footsteps awoke her. A familiar voice made her roll over and a smile lit up her face.

"Hey. You shouldn't be out of bed." She joked happy to see him.

He kissed her, his lack of wounds meaning he could kiss for longer.

"Well i had to see you, to make sure i wasnt dreaming the other night when you said you loved me and i loved you"

"I had been thinking the same thing. I wasn't dreaming was I?" She asked uncertainly. she pulled him down to her, their lips finding each others. She looked up at him and jerked upright.

"Pash your eyes." She was shocked by the change in colour. The beautiful purple had faded to grey only traces remaining.

"Yeah turns out the surgury treatment removed all the colour" He said looking down at her, he couldnt believe how beautiful she was, the began to kiss when

"Mr Odir please return to your room, stop disturbing the other patients"

With a grin he turned and strode quickly out, giving a wink to Ardana as he went, it wouldnt be long till they were back on the ship and could have a proper talk.

She smiled as the doctor scolded him, giving him last kiss before he was escorted out.

"I love you." She said to his retreating form, before laying down and falling back in to a peaceful sleep.

It was only 2 days later when they left, Pash checking that Ardana was fully healed before it was off shopping, picking up tome new things. Arlak picked up a sniper rifle and Pash and Ardana, electricity jumping from one to the other when they brushed together, were picking out upgrades for the ship and for themselves. Pash could only look forward to what would happen when they returned to the ship when his datapad pinged.

She was glad to be out of there. Glad for the medical attention but she needed to get out and stretch her legs. As they shopped and relaxed together the amount of 'accidental' contact between Pash and Ardana was high and she felt as though she were being shocked every time. They had all bought lots of upgrades and were talking about returning when the message came through.

"What is it?" She asked
