Doctor....Who? [CLOSED]

Ash nodded to him, and padded after him and his odd device, "What does it do?" She asked softly, watching both him and the odd object, then looking up and around as if making sure no one else was about, knowing the two strangers would look slightly odd

"Oh! It's my... stuff detector. Actually, I haven't really given it a name. It detects Artron energy, and it does a brilliant job! Well, as long as no one is messing with my readings. Anyway, Ash! What do you make of all of this?" Grinning, he made his way towards an unlit room, opening the door before switching on the lights, "Hmmm. A chemistry lab. I'm not sure this is what we're looking for..."

Ash looked about, and began to search, "But if you were using chemicals for your plan….where else would you hide them?" She asked him, a small smile on her face as she wandered, looking for anything that stood out

Widening his eyes, the Doctor looked over at Ash with a growing grin, "Ah! Brilliant. Now the question is... where would they be hidden? Hmmm." Making his way through the room, he bit his lip as the device in his hand didn't seem to indicate anything different than before they stepped into the room, "Well, this thing certainly isn't being helpful. Let me know if you see anything suspicious, or noteworthy."

At the professor's desk, the Doctor began rummaging through the drawers and papers that were scattered across.

Ash nodded, "Somewhere in plain sight?" She asked softly, "Or in the store cupboard" She replied, looking toward the door labeled as such, and moved to it, entering

"Perhaps..." The Doctor's voice was distant as he was enthralled with examining the desk.

As Ash moved into the storage room, a strange orb would be noted, sitting on one of the shelving. It appeared ancient, the outer shell a dingy bronze etched with circular runes of unknown origin. The average observer might think the piece a bizarre work of art, but another would see the truth; it was a relic of extra terrestrial origin.

Ash frowned at the orb. It certainly didn't seem to belong in a chemical room and, seeing as what she was looking for, she realised that the orb could be whatever they were looking for. She carefully scooped it up in both hands, and padded out to show her alien friend

Wearing a deep frown, the Doctor let out a huff, "Well, it seems looking through here was a waste. Nothing but lesson plans and ungraded papers. Ah well~ Find anything in the cupboard?"

"I found this…thing" Ash replied, carrying the orb over to him. She was curious as to what it was, and tilted her head at it with curious eyes

As Ash brought over the orb, the Doctor's cheery demeanor soured, and his face paled. Opening his mouth only to close it again, the Doctor stared fearfully at the orb. Thrusting himself from the desk, he bumped into the white board letting out a pained groan, "N-No..." Taking a few moments to regain his composure, the Doctor slowly made his way to Ash, peering worriedly at the orb, "It's... A computer. Well, a portable one. Unfortunately, unless we find the owner, we won't be able to access it..." Letting out a signed continued, "Even then... Well... Whoever owns this computer is who we're looking for..."

Ash blinked at him as he seemed to panic, wincing as he hit the white board. She looked worried for him as he made his way over to her slowly, beginning to wonder if she should really be holding the orb. She nodded silently to his explanation, then frowned, "If they found it missing….wouldn't they track it to get it back?"

Nodding the Doctor spoke, "Indeed they would. Though, I don't know if it's an advantage. I have an idea of who we might be dealing with and well... Let's say they are at least as clever as I am..."

Ash nodded silently, "But….couldn't we lure them into a trap? I mean, even if it is just to talk to them or….something" She muttered, watching the computer orb curiously

Lowering his gaze the Doctor nodded, "We could. Though I not sure what sort of trap could catch him...."

The door to the classroom opened, and in waltzed a woman--presumably a teacher. "Oh hello~ You do know that orientation isn't for another few weeks? Or perhaps you're confused, lost even." With a raised brow, she looked over the Doctor with a wry grin before setting her sights on Ash.

Ash instantly hugged the computer to her chest, staring at the woman with wide eyes, "I um…I just let my work here…. I just came to collect it" She gave a tiny smile, trying to look innocent

With a rather disappointed expression, the woman fixated her piercing blue eyes upon Ash, "Your work? My my, what a silly girl." Looking around the room, and gesturing widely with her arms she spoke, "I am the only teacher that uses this particular lab and well...." Glaring at the girl she continued, "You're not my student, now are you? So I will rephrase the question." Fixating her gaze upon the Doctor, then looking back at Ash she spoke flatly, "What are you two doing in my classroom?"

The Doctor scratched at the back of his head, "Oh! You're right... this isn't the right classroom, is it Ash?"

"Oh...It must not be then" Ash replied with a innocent smile toward the teacher. She glanced at the Doctor, then started to move around the teacher toward the door, still holding the orb tightly, "We'll um just leave then" she told her, hoping she wouldn't want the orb or remember that she was holding it

The woman glared at Ash, and grabbed her firmly by the shoulder as she tried to leave, "Must not be? Must not be!? What is it that you have in your hand then, dear?" Darting her eyes from Ash to the Doctor she continued, "And what about you? You let her come in here? You both know very well that you entered this room with a purpose. I'll give you another chance to tell the truth."

Chuckling the Doctor responded, "Of course we entered the room with a purpose, it's just... well, we entered the wrong room." Raising a brow he continued, "Are you accusing us of something?"

The woman opened her hand towards Ash, "What. Do. You. Have. In. Your. Hand?"

Ash blinked innocently up at the woman, "This?" She asked, "This is a um...another part of my work that I collected earlier. I was looking for the other part to it" she smiled up at the teacher softly, trying to shake her hand off of her shoulder, the firm grip hurting the girl. She glanced over at the Doctor, having a feeling that her excuse wouldn't work. There was a gleam of fear in her eyes, but she tried hard to hide it
