Dice D&D: The City of Shaldra~Zin

Talion agreed to let you have it and plans to split it later. For 2 reasons. 1 you had a high check and 2 I'd rather leave items in the hands of players who are posting regularly.

PvP battle! I am pretty sure Talion would have killed your Adrora.

This is the Boon Talion received when he was attacked by the spirits back in town

Boon : Undaunted

You can no longer be intimidated. If you fail a saving throw against an intimidation check you instead become taunted. While taunted you have advantage on attacks gainst the taunting enemy, but disadvantage when attacking other enemies. You are unable to run away from taunting enemies. A Con save will end this affect.

Oh fuck xD That would have ended very very poorly. Though, even had I known that beforehand, Dorric wouldn't have known so from an RP perspective I probably still would have had the Persuasion failed.

can I make a perception check to see if the lich is carrying anything fishy? Can I also make a sense motive check?

So we've gone from playing D&D to playing Clue. Can I suggest Twister next?

Searching the room for clues. Perception check?

Although I do believe he was quite crispy and charred, so perhaps something more fire related, though who knows lol

Yay for Clue! @Yesman let me get 2 intelligence checks from you to search the room.

@Naxtaroth if you want to get into the room to search as well I need a strength or dexterity check to get past the paladin guards. Then I will need an intelligence check to search the room.

I'm going to have him Investigate the crowd instead and see if there's anyone from when he first arrived that isn't in the crowd.

Moved my rolls here:

Wasn't sure Survival or Perception for the scent thing, but it was a nat 20 and both have the same exact modifier so it doesn't matter lol EDIT: I was using Dorric's modifier, Adrora's Survival mod is +2 and her Perception mod is +6, not sure which one this would be. Survival for tracking or Perception to notice it, I guess it could go either way.

No worries, with a 20 you can do anything! haha. You tracked down the dead man's enslaved imp. Grats.

@Quillicious Sure. A few of my players have stopped posting and I plan on killing them off shortly. Feel free to submit a character sheet for review. Once that clears inspection with me, we can write you in.

We are playing 5e D&D and our character levels are currently 5. Start with a 27 point buy in on your stats. No stat can be lower than 8 or higher than 15. This is before racial bonuses and the stat increase you can get from leveling. Use your classes starting gold and equipment. If you have any questions just ask.

So I haven't played the tabletop game, but I played the PC version. I can look stuff up via the interwebs, but mind giving me a barebones run-down of character creation? Will there be rolls for attributes and stats, or will I manually mess with them?

Use this: DnD 5e Players Handbook (BnW OCR).pdf

For the stats, roll 4d6 (4 6-sided dice) and take the sum of the top 3 for each of your stats. The stats are your Strength (STR), Dexterity (DEX), Constitution (CON), Intellect/Intelligence (INT), and Wisdom (WIS). For example, suppose I roll 6, 2, 3, and 5. I would take 6, 3, and 5 (since they are the highest) for a total of 14. NOTE: The stat value can be rearranged until you have finished creating your character. So, continuing off my previous example, if I roll a 6, 4, 6, I can replace my 14 with the 16. I can't get rid of the 14 but will have to reassign the 14 to another stat.

The stats may be raised by the race you pick

Some generators I've seen have used just base 8 for all stats, have 27 for a pool, and you distribute them manually, and after that you choose a race and it calculates all the stats, plus the race buff.
