Dice D&D: The City of Shaldra~Zin

@Naxtaroth nope, you can go. I posted for the remaining enemies (was 12 total now there are only 2) I posted for Kelter my paladin and Talion which is Chayliels character. Then Redsiarrehs character Jameak cast a spell and I posted the results.

So you need to post for Dorric, make a saving through at the end of your turn. And Yesman can continue to post as Jaks because he is still seperated from the rest of the party.

And these remaining two are in the alley? Also, if I wanted Dorric to switch from his bow to his two shortswords, would that be part of movement? and if I did, could I attack with both swords, the offhand one would just be no atk or damage bonus? it would just be the pure roll and base damage of the sword? correct?

You can store or unsheath one weapon as part or your movement action. If you with to store or unsheath another weapon during the same turn you must use your bonus action. (Unless you have taken the two weapon fighting feat. Then you may unsheath both weapons at the same time)

So you may put away your bow while running. Then unsheath 1 sword and make 1 attack. Next turn you may unsheath your second sword.

When it comes to attacks. Your standard action will be used to attack with your main hand weapon. Then your bonus action can be used to attack with an offhand weapon. No Prof bonus, but you may use your dex bonus to attack. (Two weapon fighting style will allow you to add prof bonus to attack.)

At least this is how I have come yo understand the 5e rules.

I assume that Con save is low enough to where he'll take damage, want me to go ahead and make a concentration check to see if I maintain Hunter's Mark?

@Naxtaroth you have just recieved your first campaign boon. The spirit that invaded your body was Reckless.

Reckless: Landing a natural 20 on an attack roll is more devistating than ever. These natural crits automatically do 2x max damage. The flip side to this, rolling a 2 is now considered a crit fail as well.

So, rather than rolling, say a d8 for my longbow, I'd automatically make that a 16? (double the max for a d8), on a crit of course

@Redsirrah

You have gained the boon bloodlust

Bloodlust: Every time you land a killing blow on an enemy you regain 1d4 temporary hit points. These hitpoints expire at the end of combat. You cannot exceed your max, hp.

It is permanent unless you want to do a side quest to get rid of it. Your character feels a sick sence of pleasure and adrenaline surge every time he lands the killing blow. That might be something a cleric feels wrongly about or maybe its something that will slowly reshape his moral standing.

Dorric will definitely be keeping his lol. Having 2 as a crit fail on top of 1 in order to do max damage on all criticals sounds alright to me lol, I guess my question now, if from a RP standpoint it made sense, being around Talion causes my character to eventually dip 3 levels into Fighter for the Champion perk of a 19 also being a crit... I know you said multiclassing was fine if it made sense from an RP standpoint, but would that specific multiclass be ok purely based on the mechanic of adding one more crit number to my rolls or do you think that'd defeat the purpose of the negative side of the boon

I'm confused, does the party need my help anymore or is everything already dead

@Naxtaroth You can dip into Fighter class to make 19 a crit. But that 19 will not count for this boon. This boon only affects natural 20 attack rolls rolls. If you grab a feat or multi class ability that allows you to reroll 1s or 2s that would help take the negativity away from this boon. I think Luck Feat does something like this?

@Yesman All the enemies are dead, so they no longer need help. If you really want you can attack some random undeads that are still making their way out of town. You could get 3 shots off before there is no one left in sight. Getting to the rooftop would not give you more time to attack enemies.

there are more than 3. zombies are walking out of town in every direction. anyone with ranged attacks can try to kill them while they flee. but in 3 turns they will all be out of sight. you can just say you target one in the streets.

Alright, I think I might just take the Luck feat, you get to reroll almost any roll (other than damage) but only 3 times per long rest. Might also consider dipping 2 or 3 levels into something else, as long as it makes sense of course, but that won't be for a while, ranger steadily grows up until about level 9 where the only benefit is one extra spell slot, which isn't too high up on my priority list.

Sure I will give you advantage on your first shot. Your second and third shot I will not give you advantage on. You can make your other two attacks now as well to save time.

I'd post, but I feel like I should wait for somebody else to post first

I mustve not been getting notifs because the last thing I remember was the battle but it looks like we're a tad past that lol
