Dice D&D: The City of Shaldra~Zin

@Yesman what ever the reason is. Im glad to have you back. Like any DM I am always afraid that interest will fade and my RP will die out. I am really enjoying this story and I am excited for where it is going. I really hope we make it far enough for all the secrets to be revealed.

@Chayliel I was hoping to keep to the base classes and races. If anyone plays a non-basic class I would like to see it earned through gameplay. What did you have in mind?

I was hoping to play a blacksmith that had a natural affinity with earth. It's called a Rock Reaver class. It's from dandwiki.com. I'll find a link, but I can make a fighter if it's not preferred.

@Chayliel I looked it over and read back through a few things. I would prefer you make an Eldritch Knight Fighter and we will swap its ability to cast wizard spells with an ability to cast druid spells. At each level we will chose your learned spells together. To make sure they are fair for everyone involved in the RP. This will allow you to learn things like barkskin, stoneskin, mend, meld with stone, shape stone and wall of stone along the way.

If at any point your character seems too overpowered I will reserve the right to rework things. I don't think that will be a problem though. Does this deal sound alright?

Wow. Umm yea! That's sounds awesome! Thank you! I'll get to making my character really soon. Thanks!

Hey sorry about the delay but I had totally forgotten about today and tomorrow. I'll be getting home incredibly late.

I will post a CS before Friday guaranteed.

Jameak is a young ashen with hazel eyes haired cleric who wears the garments of the clerics of St. Cuthbert when he's not armored up in rather plain looking plate mail. He carries a leatherbound tome on him, and wear a necklace with a broken quill tied to it. He also has his holy symbol, a silver club, on a leather strap which he wears tied on his left hip. On his right hip hangs his mace, and on his back are ten javelins. Aside from a utility knife on his belt, the rest of his gear is in a rucksack he carries.

There is the first plot hook. Hope it makes sence written out. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

I wasn't thinking about a physical description when making Jaks sooo...

I'll go with an emo Daniel Radcliffe, dark clothing and all. Olive green shirt, dark pants, brown leather armor, etc. As for details, a hood (no cloak), the rapier hanging from his left hip, quiver on his right hip, bow on his back, the knives and throwing knives are pulled put of nowhere Batman style so no need to draw those (unless you want to). Hight wise, he's shorter than Kelter and Jameak. He's also leaning more to the thinner side but is still able to pass as healthy.

Yea I'll get to finishing it up today. This week turned out to be a lot busier than I thought, sorry.

Thanks for being patient though!

That is AWESOME! *_*

The only thing is that I watched Harry Potter yesterday so now, whenever I read Jaks doing something, I think of rogue waving a wand around shooting curses and spells...dang, I should have made Jaks an Elf.

@Chayliel its a little more than a hobby. It was my major is college and I do commission work when it comes up.

@Yesman glad you like it. You dont need to be an elf to cast. You could archetype into trickster rogue instead of thief or assassin. Or you can multi class something later. Maybe build towards a story where you make a deal with a demon and start warlock levels. Rogue/bladelock sounds cool.

If you want to see more of my are work search Grimsvald or CityofShaldrazin on Instagram

I know arcane tricksters can cast magic but a high elf gets a minor cantrip that he can use even if he wasn't an arcane trickster, no?

As for multi classing, I'll have to look into that since that's something I've never looked into. You suggested a bladelock. Is that like a warlock with a sword?

Oh yeah. Elves shouls get Fey step. Forest gnomes get that as well.

Bladelock refers to a melee based warlock archetype. You select the Blade Pact. There is some really interesting stuff there.

@Redsirrah Hey, it has been a week since we have seen a post from you. Are you still able to continue in the RP?

If I dont hear a reply I will just continue the story, puppeting Jameak until he gets back.

Sorry, i've just been really busy with College the last week or so, and have just been pooping in to keep tabs on the story. I'll post now.

Might not be able to post until tomorrow or tuesday. My daught was born today! I am a new father and enjoying the moment.
