Dice D&D: The City of Shaldra~Zin

@Yesman Yes, but if you roll too low on attack you still risk hitting civilians. Because it will be flanking. You have advantage on the attack and because you have advantage you will add your backstab dice to the attack.

Since the crowd is mostly dissipated, do I see where the zombies go?

Yes. It is far away and you cant really tell much about the building from here. But you can see which building they go into. I tied posting up my map, but it didnt work. Hopefully I can get it up here off my phone soon.

I am excited to see how this plays out and what you both take from the experience. It went very differently than expected the first time I ran this session of the campaign.

I am working another player through a 1v1 rp that leads into this one. Once they finish their quest they will be joining this RP. By the time you are heading back to Shaldra-Zin you should have a Wizard in your party.

@Yesman what kind of check are you making? Is it a perception check of the hallway or are you entering the clean up room and making a perception check? Is it an insight check on the hosts to see if they are lying?

Both insight and perception are Wisdom based skills.

Can I do both at the same time?

@Yesman and @Redsirrah I want to leave these choices up to you both. Who will hold the torch and what order will we walk in. If you want to have Kelter hold the torch he will just write in that you hand it to him. And he will walk in what ever order.

He isn't supposed to be able to and strength isnt exactly his main stat. I will let him attempt it ,but he would roll with disadvantage and any succesful hit would be reduced to 1dmg.

Chances are he would lose his cool in a fight, toss the torch and hope it stayed lit on the ground. That way he could fight with two hands light or dark.

okay. I was planning on giving him the torch but now...can we just like, I dunno, leave him with the couple and just let @Redsirrah and I go down.

Or if the couple have glue lying around in their shop...

Lol, I guess you can try to talk Kelter out of going down, but I don't think it will work. Because of these creatures, nearly everyone he has ever known has died. And that only happened the night before now. He will be pretty stubborn about going down there and not very open to the ideas of peace.

He won't attack them unless they strike first. But if any of them swing he will try to kill them all. Giving him the torch may be a good way to limit him. If you want to look at it that way. But you may end up in the dark too. So its risky.

You said that there are holes in the wall for candles but none of them are lit. Can I light them with the torch?

Okay, that solves the light problem. @Redsirrah do you by any chance have some spell or something that can restrict Kelter if he starts swinging his sword?

Okay then. Should I take the torch, light the candles and then hand the torch to Kelter when we reach the bottom?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I am ready to see the execution of that plan. Who ever is ready to post that can. If neither of you want to I can get the post up today.

Sorry for disappearing for such a long time. Apparently, I missed the last notif.
