Laohu should have known Xiao Hui would've been too straightforward for these . . animals. However, it was custom to be honest and straightforward whenever deals were being made. But, it seems within other groups, they'd rather beat around the bush than be straightforward. Laohu heard Alec's comments as he knew they weren't prepared for Hui's actions. Xiao Hui bit her lip as she heard Boris' critical tone and stare. A part of her wanted to wipe that smug off his face and put him in his place at the same time she clicked her tongue. "They weren't planning on handing over Strong, but wanted to keep both of them." Xiao Hui muttered quickly as Laohu roared loudly, "We weren't going to get them back either way." Soon, things happened in a blur as Boris commanded his lackeys and two kangaroos aimed straight for her and Ash. Falarion reacted quick enough to move Gigi to cover as Manjano started shooting anywhere to get some cover fire for them. Her eyes widened as she yelled out to Ash, "Don't let them kick you!" As soon as those words were said, Xiao Hui was ready to move away from the kick, prepared to move steathily to the side to attack the kangaroo by its neck, only for Falarion to intervene, knocking both Falarion and the kangaroo. Blinking at the sudden interruption, Xiao Hui turned quickly when she heard Ash's voice. Seeing Ash dealt with the kangaroo on his side, Xiao Hui listened carefully as she acted on her instincts, only for Laohu to intercede on her behalf. "What?" Laohu growled before eyeing the spheres in his hands. In sync, as Ash landed the spheres, Laohu jumped, tackling Hui to the ground, using his body as coverage from the smoke behind them. Falling to the grounds, Xiao Hui hissed as she hit her head on the pavement as Laohu shook his head. He made sure to stay on top of her as Xiao Hui covered her eyes and mouth. After a few moments, Laohu rolled off, looking around for Gigi, not being able to see pass the smoke or anyone else. So, he put it all up to his hearing and smell. Hearing Eos' voice trying to reason with himself before heading forward towards two figures , Laohu grunted in agreement. "Get 'em, before they get us." He said, as Laohu followed behind seeing more figures that he now saw as chimps. Attacking them with brute force, Laohu ran into the middle of the four monkeys, ramming into them as the chimps attempted to overthrow him by attacking him by all angles. However, he never let that happen as he growled, whipping his body back and forth in jerking motions, as he slammed that chimps that were on him to the ground. He was beginning to find them as a nuisance whenever they tried to bite at him.

As chaos ensued, hearing noises of the the others fighting off, Xiao Hui frantically looked around for Gigi among the commotion. She wasn't seen for now, that is, as soon as she stepped ahead, she winced, feeling the throbbing headache forming. Laohu definitely tackled her down to the ground way too abruptly, even if it was for her sake. However, before she could even react, she looked over at a figure coming straight towards her from the smoke, as she squinted at it. She only realized at the last second that it was the kangaroo Ash had been fighting. Gasping loudly, Xiao Hui merely rolled away , tumbling over faster than she ever went before, and as much as she could. However, it seemed she didn't do it quick enough as Xiao Hui got the brute end of the forced kicked, feeling the blade that had been attached to the claws of its foot, slashing her back. It wasn't as deep enough for her to lose a large amount of blood, but the long and bloodied cut was deep enough to cause her breathing to intensify and the pain to burn. Xiao Hui bit her lips as hard as she could, making it bleed from the dryness. As the pain would have it, she couldn't contain the ache as she yelled in pain. Xiao Huo squinted her eyes, her body shaking slightly, as she found herself scolding herself quickly at letting her pain be exposed. She hated showing vulnerability.

On the other hand, Laohu was still attacking the other chimps, getting them off his back as he rammed them against each other, clawing or swiping at them, that is, until he felt a stinging and painful force etching down his back as he fell down on the pavement. It was only then he heard a yell, one that made his heart drop and stop immediately as anger and pain filled his body. He laid there, too still, as he tried composing or trying to calm down the anger, only for him to not do be able to do it. His frame shook, and soon enough, he was done playing around, as he attacked each chimp, clamping down his sharp fangs on their neck, killing the four of them all in one bite.

Xiao Hui, on the other hand, knew this wasn't a time to be on the ground not when there was a kangaroo ready to stomp on her to her death. Trying not to strain herself as she felt blood seeping through her shirt, Xiao Hui had tumbled into the bushes just in time for her to compose herself in a position that wouldn't cause her to put pressure on her wound. Getting up was a struggle as she couldn't find herself balancing well enough as she wanted to touch the slash. But nevertheless, Xiao Hui quickly took out out her needles, as she moved wobbly from side to side as the kangaroo attacked her , not letting her get a chance to breathe. Taking the chance for the kangaroo's constant attacks, Xiao Hui threw three needles at different openings of the kangaroo's pressure point in attempt to paralyze it, one aiming for the neck, one aiming for the arm, and one aiming for the hips that allowed such powerful kicks to come at her, hoping she hadn't missed her marks. Laohu, seeing the kangaroo who harmed Hui, ran quickly towards the kangaroo that was kicked and slashing any bushes in the way at his prey, only for Laohu to ram himself into it as he tried to bit the kangroo's hip, tumbling down with it.
"Laohu!" She exclaimed as she wanted to run over to them only to fall down, wincing at the wound, before getting back up on her feet again to lean against the tree. However, her ears perked at hearing Boris' voice only for her eyes to widen at the scene before her. "Gigi! Guys, they got her!"

Ash was almost at the cover but before he could get there he felt the ground rumble. "??" "Ashy! look out! Stampede!" At this Ash instantly did a combat roll out of the way the buffalo almost crushing him as he sped by unable to stop in time. Quickly he stood up still covered by a bit of the smoke, so he was hidden from obvious view, and stood still, looking around he got the situation as quickly as he could and his mind raced as he tried to figure out what to do. "Fie supplies." He whispered asking what the monkey had rather than telling him to retrieve anything. "Kehehe Ashy~ I got one more canister of tear gas, a stun grenade, a few cherry bombs, a sleepy grenade, more cherry bombs with a bit more kick, blow dart with full set of darts Kehe." The monkey replied well hidden in some thick trees that had a okay view of what was going on.

At this Ash nodded before his attention turned to Boris who had Gigi by the claw. Cursing under his breath he stayed in his spot right in the smoke but away from Xaio and the kangaroo. Averagely he would help the women, but she looked like she could handle herself (though when he heard her let out a yell of pain he had to use all his willpower to not rush to her and help her our). When Alec growled in his ear he didn't say anything...for a moment. "Yeah, can't talk... Fie, tell Alec plan Woops." He whispered before he slowly stepped out of the fog looking at Boris.

At this Fie giggles a bit, both he and Ash had a many plans....like enough to write a book (which Fie is in the middle of doing) and each had their own little code words just incase the other didn't have time to fully explain the plan. "I like plan woops." The monkey giggled as he moved in the trees quickly jumping down to hide in the bushes. "Duik human, Ashy wants us to find the cars that the baddies used and sabotage them before they can use them again. Keheh Think you can do that? I incapacitated some of the bigger and uglier monkey's so we don't have to worry about gunfire for a bit." He said in a soft tone not to give away his position.

Ash took a calming breath and showed Boris his hands as he looked at the bear. "You know, I wanted to talk about this, could save a lot of your men from going six feet under or in a hospital." He said in a calm voice as he looked around. Now a lot of the dense smoke was gone, he saw the corpses of the dead monkeys and the chaos that was everywhere. Despite the situation he did what he could to calm it down, or at the very least do something. "Let's have a conversation hm? You are smart, I mean you got to be inorder to avoid getting caught by the watch. Honestly I got to admit I'm impressed, that's not the easiest thing to do. Believe me, I know. That being said... You don't want things to end here right?" He said in a calm voice taking a slow step forward his hands still to his side showing him he wasn't holding a weapon, after that however he stopped in his tracks. "I mean you killing Gigi? Come on Boris, that means you will fail your mission, something you side will truly hate, you want her alive right? So move your jaws away from her throat and lets calm things down before any more death is required." he said in a soft tone his eyes not leaving Boris for a moment. Honestly he was hoping someone would sneak behind the bear and get him away from Gigi while he talked. He knew this was risky, but talking was his strong point, and if he could buy some time for everyone to collect themselves and think... Well who knows but it will make things a bit easier.

Simon and Jimbo leaned against the wall as bullets flew down the hallway towards them. They watched as Rin dealt with the lights, and the hallway became much darker. The gunfire stopped and Jimbo took the moment of disorientation to swing his rifle from his back and point it down the hall way. HE could see the ice created by Zoe's arrow, and Haku and Rin down taking out the merchs through his night vision. He made quick work of a couple of the merchs in the darkness, as their bullets still soared through the hallway, just more sporadic now.

That was when Simon heard Calista call out about Amber. Simon gritted his teeth, he could do nothing unless he could get close. but with bullets still flying all over the place, there was no way he could get close, not without some kind of shield. That was when Simon had one of his rarer moments of planned thoughts. He turned back down the hallway they had just come, keep hand on the wall to help guide him in the dark. It didn't take long for him to return to the room with the monitors using his memory and quickly grabbed hold of the tabled they were sitting on.

Monitors and equipments fell to the floor as Simon flipped the table on it side and turned back towards the tunnel. His eyes adjusted to the darkness a bit better now, he was able to make out the dark silhouette of the tunnel and headed back towards the others. When he returned Calista and the others hadn't moved to much, so Simon let the table down on its end and he gripped the legs together, making a very large full body shield. Jimbo swung his rifle around at the sound of the table being set down to see Simon holding it in his night vision scope.

"Simon? What the hell do you plan on doing with that?"

Simon smiled and gave Jimbo a thumbs up in the darkness.

"Creating an opening"

Simon steeled himself and took a breath before he swung the table into the hallway. A few stray bullets hit it right off the bat, before Simon jumped behind it and began to charge the tunnel. Simon chanced a glance from behind his makeshift shield to see the ice pack before him, along with the boar that Luness had engaged.

"Heads up Luness!!"

Simon smashed the table into the boar, the ice helping to move the large beast as he collided with its metal platting. But Simon didn't slow down or stop, he kept pushing forward aiming for whatever, or whoever was before him until he met the other side of the wall, smashing anything that had been unlucky enough to be between his table and the wall.

Just as Manjano had taken aim at the kangaroo, he leapt forward, aiming a kick with his deadly and armed foot right at Manjano's throat.

In a split decision to defend himself, Manjano swiftly raised one of his arms in front of himself defensively while also letting himself fall backwards in the faint hope of avoiding too serious of an injury.

Alas, he couldn't avoid such a quick attack, nor such a powerful one, and all Manjano could do was cry out in pain, as the blade cut deep into his forearm before the kangaroo was gone in a flash and Manjano was lying on his back, hugging his injured arm to his chest while the blood quickly began to seep between his fingers.

On the bright side, he was wearing black so the bloodstains wouldn't be too noticeable. On the downside, he now had a gushing wound in his arm, which would inhibit him in combat and definitely would make things more difficult considering it was his better arm, specifically his left arm.

Nearby, Falarion had stumbled while trying to stand back up, as he'd temporarily felt Manjano's vicious wound to his forearm. That was definitely not good.

Rushing to Manjano's side, Falarion worriedly looked down at his companion, as Manjano cursed and rolled to one of his sides in pain. Falarion had no medical expertise and had no idea how to handle this situation. Luckily, he did know the others who knew medical things.

Seeing as Alec was nowhere near Manjano at the moment, Falarion quickly sprinted up to Bael nearby and was about to ask him for help when Boris suddenly grabbed Gigi and held her up before declaring that everyone stand down.

Despite fearing for Gigi's wellbeing, Falarion knew that Manjano had a dire wound and needed help ASAP.

Nonchalantly nudging Bael's side, Falarion then whispered to him, "Hey, uh, so Manjano just got seriously injured and is bleeding everywhere. YOu think you could patch him up real quick?"

@SilverFlight @Sleipnir

Leandra continued to rock slightly where she sat on the bit of debris, as the others quickly and expertly dispatched the enemies nearby.

Luness quickly flew out of the way upon hearing Simon's shouted warning, quickly flying over his head before landing near Leandra. As the team seemed to be pushing forward, Leandra needed to be mobile again.

Fluttering onto Leandra's lap, Luness then gently entered the frightened girl's mind before soothing her again and then saying, "Come along, dear. We must continue our mission. Worry later, focus now."

Taking a deep breath and then nodding at Luness, Leandra then stood after Luness had climbed onto one of her shoulders.

Peering around the corner, Leandra squinted in the dark to see what was going on, but found it difficult to see a thing.

Knowing they couldn't light up the area in case enemies were just beyond it, Leandra held back, as Luness flew on ahead and tried to discern if there were any enemies left after Simon's charge.

"XIAO!!" Alec was on his feet in an instant. The rifle forgotten. He leapt clear of the second story window and hit the ground, rolling once and back onto his feet. His shoulder would definitely be bruised in the morning but at that moment, he only had one thought in his mind.

The kangaroo Xiao had hit stumbled backward, the blows Xiao delivered to it striking home, only to be knocked back with finality by Laohu. The tiger made sure the kanagroo wouldn't be kicking anyone for a long time.

Alec reached Xiao as she propped herself up against a tree. "Xiao! God you're bleeding! Let me check the cut."

When he looked up he saw Boris holding Gigi. He gave the animal a death glare before tossing his handgun away from him.

He turned his attention back to Xiao and her injury, though he listened to Ash as he tried to reason with the bear.

"It's not too deep, you were lucky." Then he gave her a regretful smile. "Didn't I tell you to watch your back?" He was trying to be funny, though at this point he doubted anything should be.

@crucialstar

Boris' claws remained where they were, but he smiled at Ash, baring sharp white teeth.

"We should get a few things clear human: our plan will work best with Gigi alive, but it will work with her dead too. Her life seems infinitely more valuable to your team." To emphasize this he pressed harder on her throat until she yelped and watched the reactions of the group.

The buffalo, having time to recover made their way back to Boris' side, as did the two remaining kangaroos. One of the buffalo was limping badly and the other still had effects of the tear gas, the two kangaroos however were in very good shape.

"Here is the deal, we walk out with the dog, and you get to heal your friends, one doesn't look too good."

@Peaceswore

Their attention was on Ash, then suddenly Alec saw Duik still hiding in the bushes, he also remembered they had yet to see Totus. Using Ash as a distraction he spoke into his come as subtly as he could manage.

Duik gave the monkey a distressed look. "Its not like all bad guys drive the same model of car, I have no idea how to tell which ones are theirs. Or if they even came in cars?"

Just then he heard Alec's voice over the com:

@Flutterby @Peaceswore

"We need to do this very carefully, and we need to do it fast; Xiao and Manjano are hurt and Manjano looks bad. Totus, I need your best impression of a falcon, come in hard and fast at Boris, Duik, get one of those kangaroos, think you can take it down?"

"If I have to Alec." The hyena didn't sound sure of himself, but he'd seen what had happened and was ready to fight.

"Gigi, when Totus comes down you bite that bearpaw as hard as you can, Ash, when all hell breaks loose, you do what you were going to do, adapt it to the distraction. Eos, think you can take that other kangaroo? Laohu, when you see your chance, get to Boris and get Gigi away from him, Falarion, if you're good, Lao will likely need help--"

"Stop!" The cry made Alec jump, and he wasn't the only one who was surprised. Boris too seemed caught off guard.

At the entrance to the gardens, running as fast as her heels would allow was Isabelle.

"Please don't hurt her!"

Alec held his breath, there was no better opportunity than this. They had to act now.

Calista heard Simon coming before she saw him and with an expert leap she landed on one of the walls and kicked off again, catching the man's shoulder as he rocketed past.

"Woohoo! Now this is the way to get it done!"

Enemies were caught up by the table as it pushed them like the cow-catcher on a train. There was a chorus of grunts as the table collided with the wall, catching all collected enemies in the blow. There were surely some who would get to their feet, but even as they did still more guards came down the hall.

"Oh Hell! These guys don't quit!" There were only animal left now, but two oryx with wickedly-sharp horns charged forward and accompanied by several big male orangutans with pistols.

"Jimbo!" Calista yelled but she ran forward anyway and leapt into the face of one of the orange apes.

"Jimbo! Come shoot this guy before he kills me!"

It seemed that their enemies were now spread quite thin and Calista hoped this would be the final wave of bodies they needed to fight through to get to Amber.

~*~

Amber gritted her teeth as she shook off the horrible feeling that the machine had given her.

"Wh-what are you planning wolf?" She managed to wheeze. Drake said nothing, only finished what he was setting up on the table before walking up to her.

A tiny switchblade appeared from a cuff about his right paw. She couldn't see it or him as the lights hadn't come back on yet.

"Forget the damn machine!...its too late." He turned back to Amber. "But I'll make sure they lose as much as we just did." With that he jabbed the blade into Amber's side. She cried out in pain as he pulled the blade free and returned it to its sheath.

"Let's go." He snapped, and the scientist gave a quick sigh of relief before picking up his notes and following the alpha out of the cave and down a narrow tunnel.

Jhet was just in the tourist part of the catocombs until she heard a bunch of gunfire. It sounded pretty far though,"Crap. It must be the agents. They probably need our help. After all they aren't going to beat the rougues if all their agents are dead" Jhet said opening her backpack and putting on her bullet proof stuff she always had on her. Then she took out a modified cap40 pistal as she was putting on the helmet,"Oreo you ready to go?" Jhet said tossing some bullet proof gear into the air. Bandit jumped into to the gear and nodded at his colleague,"Heck yeah I am. Now lets go kick some gluteus maximus" Bandit said running and jumping over the blockades and going straight to where the shooting was. Jhet was right behind him. Once Jhet and Bandit arrived at the shootout it turned out she was on the wrong side. It was hard for her to run also becausenthe place was covered in ice. She noticed the mercs were firing at people. Watch agents to be exact. Jhet decided she was going to be nice by knocking out two of the Mercs so they can be questioned later. She put on some ice kletes she bought earlier to walk on the ice of Paris. She ran chopped the Merc right in the neck knocking it out. No one noticed this though. The other Merc Jhet was about to knock out was in the middle. That would've worked out for the agents after Jhet knocked it out. She went into her pocket and pulled outher Cap40. Then she switched it to stun mode. The stun mode only one dart left that wasn't a stun one. It was a knockout. Jhet aimed as best as she could at it and shot the Merc right in the leg almost the foot. It fell down quickly,"Yes" Jhet said to herself. Another Merc heard Jhet's voice, but couldn't see her. It shot her twice in the leg before Jhet pretended to make dying sounds and hid behind a rock. The Merc turned back around. Jhet started taking the bullets out of her leg with tweedles and wrapped it with medical tape. When Jhet got up and her com came on,"Hey Jhet there's boars in here too!" Bandit said jumping on ones back,"Okay roger that you take them out while I try to communicate with the Agents" Jhet said about to make contact when a scream inturupted her,"Bandit someone needs my help stay put here while I check it out. I'll call if I need help" Jhet said listening to the scream and running at it. The scream faded away, but Jhet kept going until she came to a hallway heavily gaurded with soldiers. At this Jhet stopped at the end of another hallway linked with the guarded one and started making a plan. Then a wolf followed by an animal scientist came out of the room. Jhet was going to half to hide. She quickly took out some cheep sucktion gloves and climbed to the ceiling before the wolf could see her.

Forcing himself to shift his attention away from Manjano for now, as they seemed to have more pressing matters with Gigi's life on the line, Falarion's eyes widened when Boris hurt Gigi. Boris had already been toeing the line and now he'd just stepped way too far over it for Falarion. Nobody was going to hurt Gigi like that and just get away with it.

Growling at Boris, Falarion lowered his body, looking as if he were ready to pounce, much like foxes would do. When Isabelle came sprinting in and shouting for Gigi to not be harmed, Falarion used the moment as the perfect distraction and snarled before springing forward and getting a running start before leaping in the air and opening his jaw wide, aiming to bite Boris' exposed neck. He also outstretched his forepaws, aiming to dig his claws into Boris' shoulders once he landed his attack, which would help him keep a grip on Boris and not be so easily flung off of him right away.

Meanwhile, Manjano continued to groan and clutch his arm in agony nearby, the bleeding going unchecked, as his vision began to shift out of focus.

Wednesday had spent her time hiding in the shrubbery, putting her stealth to use as best as she could and hiding her scent in the more fragrant bushes. She'd had a decent view and tried to warn the others before, now however, with Gigi captured she didn't know what to do. They had been ordered to stand down at the cost of Gigi's life. Wednesday saw the opporitunity to create a distraction herself, no one had seen her yet, and she had the element of surprise. The problem was the fact that she didn't know how to read the others. She didn't dare speak for fear of getting caught, as she was dangerously close to the others

Cerci knew Wednesday was hiding around, as the girl had been helping watch the bear's large back now she waited, with the others to see how this would play out. When Isabelle came running in, it seemed chaos broke loos though.

As soon as she heard Isabel, Wednesday saw her chance to do something- but she wasn't sure what to do. She thought the courtyard may provide enough of echo that they wouldn't be able to pinpoint her position, but she wasn't sure. She pulled out the tiny, low caliber cub she had hidden away to bring with her and took aim at the bear's paw.

As soon as she pulled the trigger, the gun made a relatively quite bang, but the small bullet did not hit the bear- no instead it moved past Burris and Gigi, and landed on her own teammate.

Instead of being useful. Of course she'd shoot Bael.

Bael could hardly tear his eyes from the situation at hand when Falarion grabbed his attention. He stared blankly at the tall canine for some time, bright green eyes darting between him, Manjano, and Boris and Gigi.

Cedar, what do we do now?

How should I know? Keep cool. Don't panic.

Well, I know that --

I don't know! Just --

That was when chaos seemed to strike again. When Isabelle appeared on the scene, the gears in Bael's mind jerked back into function. When Falarion plunged at the great brown bear, he darted to Manjano's side, diving into the dirt beside him and tore open his bag to fish out what he needed to assist him. "What -- your arm -- it's torn. Okay, yeah, let's see -- infection. Let's do marigold. Bleeding, thet's easy, I can do thet. Yarrow. Pain." He continued mumbling to himself, preparing everything he was mentioning surprisingly rapidly. He was, suddenly, in his element and this was exactly what he knew he should be doing. Not fighting. "I'm sorry, it'll sting, but it'll help."

This was, of course, when he felt a sharp stinging pain in his shoulder and the sound of something whistling past him. He shouted out in pain, features contorted, and grabbed his shoulder, feeling the blood begin to well up. He was only grazed, but it still hurt like hell.

Cedar was on it, too, and in a moment the bear leaped out of the tree he hid in onto the back of one of the enemies, snarling and gnashing his teeth against the back of the animal's neck and ears.

Ash glared at the bear as Gigi yelped. 'Damn thing, why must it insist on blood shed.' He thought as he listened to Alec while his eyes remained on Boris. He kept a straight face as he listened trying to think of way to get Gigi out of this. Just as a plan was swirling he heard a voice coming from somewhere. Unlike the others he didn't look rather he kept his eyes on Boris. Seeing the Flalarion run to attack Boris, Ash acted at the same time to help the wolf.

Fie looked at Duik and was quiet for a moment. "oh....Fish sitcks! ...No we can't use plan fish stick Kehehe... That would be fu-" His words were cut off when he saw what Ash was doing. Instantly the monkey let out a screech of worry before bolting off while one hand shuffled through his bag.

Ash bolted forward his focus on the bear in front of him and not the other enemies around him. "Ashy everyone at the scary bear close your eyes kehehe." Fie said in the mic. At this Ash waited a second before closing his eyes, like his prankster partner said. At this time there was a clack on the ground and out of it erupted a blinding light and a sharp ringing noise that usually comes when you stand close to a grenade. Once this happened Ash opened his eyes and went in to grab Gigi so he could get her away before Boris could hurt her anymore. 'Gods tell me, this will work.' He thought not liking how close he was getting to the damned bear.

Totus circled up above the situation, worriedly watching everyone below. His team was battered, outnumbered, and trying to negotiate with nothing to offer. All he could think that it was bad. They could have used another sniper, or Beth could have been on the ground and worked to scout...

Another command brought him out of his thoughts. Best impression of a falcon? Are you kidding me? Those things are dumb as hell..

He began circling tighter, building speed and power while he waited for the cue.

A shout distracted the bear, and Totus saw the chance just as Alec did. "Go now!" He called into the coms.

Then, he let out his loudest shriek, which might sound like a falcon to the untrained ear, and dove straight at the bear's head. His talons, caked with dried blood, were aimed right at Boris's eyes. Suddenly, the bear had Totus, Falarion, Ash, and some crazy flash-and-sound grenade diving for him at the same time. Stupid monkey. Totus tried to ignore the building sound, but it was becoming excruciating to his sensitive ears.

Beth ducked a jab from a boar, but was confused when it tried to back away. The next moment, she understood why. Simon's table hit her back and shoved her forward, straight toward the boar. She stuck the knife out, and it buried itself in its exposed throat. Blood spurted everywhere, and Beth found herself stuck. The tusks of the dead boar were on either side of her and with Simon's speed, there was no way for her to duck under them and get out. The wall was approaching at an alarming speed, but there was nothing she could do.

With a thud that knocked her breath away, the train of bodies slammed into the wall. Luckily, the tusks of her dead enemy kept her from being smooshed. But it was still pretty terrifying to be pushed down a pitch-black tunnel by a giant man into a bunch of armed people trying to kill you.

As the others charged ahead, Beth wiggled out of the heap. "Damn it Simon!" She shouted, picking herself up off the ground.

By the time she was up, there were even more scary people in the tunnel. She was exhausted, so she dropped to one knee and began firing bolts. Her first one was aimed directly for the first orangutan.

Manjano felt a bit of relief when Bael finally joined his side, muttering to himself about Manjano's injury and the specific items he'd need in order to help Manjano out.

Of course, in the midst of this moment, someone shot at Bael, distracting him and further prolonging Manjano's pain, as the bleeding had barely slowed at this point.

Gasping, Manjano then glared at Bael in a vain attempt to bring his attention back, as he didn't want to hit the guy and cause him more pain after he'd been shot. From Manjano's point of view, he had no idea if the bullet had stuck or merely grazed him.

Who in the world had tried to kill one of the team's healers?

As Luness flew ahead, she quickly saw poor Beth caught in Simon's charge and worriedly flew after them until Beth was left to get out of the heap on her own.

Deciding to help Beth out since the others seemed capable on their own and Leandra was safely hiding away for the time being, Luness dove at the nearest oryx, aiming at its hindquarters to simply draw its attention away from the others.

After doing so, Luness circled around and dove once more while burning brightly, screeching until she struck the oryx in the shoulders next.

The oryx yelped in pain, but reacted swiftly, whipping its head around and knocking Luness out of the air and into a nearby wall.

Hitting the wall hard, Luness crumpled to the ground before shakily standing up on her talons, her vision swimming.

Seeing the oryx approaching her, Luness screeched in a vain attempt to keep it back, but the oryx no longer cared. Perhaps if Luness was lucky, a nearby teammate would surprise the oryx, who seemed to only see Luness at the moment.

Bael squeezed his eyes shut, trying to focus on anything but the pain in that moment. He didn't have a clue where the shot had called me from, and all he could think was that a painful realization had been illuminated before him.

Always shoot the healer first.

He shook his head and dragged his hand from his shoulder, taking a long, shuddering breath. "Right," he gasped. "Where was I? Yeah. Yarrow." In a moment he was back on track, eyebrows furrowed, as he began on Manjano again. The wound was soon wrapped, and Bael was examining his work carefully with his mind a bit fuzzy from his own disorienting pain. "You keep an eye on it. Come see me when it needs replaced after we're all safe again. Try to stay out of the fray, y'kno'."

Despite the utter darkness permeating the corridor Zoe saw - but mostly heard - the unstoppable force of Simon rushing through the hallway, catching every single merc and animal in his path, crashing them mercilessly into the wall. A satisfied grin sat on her face as she heard the grunts and pained moans before they fell silent. Turning to the big man she applauded him.

" Well that is what I call a demolishing entrance. " she said, her tone turning serious as she looked around " We have no time to celebrate just yet, let us hurry up and... "

An another wave of animal guards appeared - probably the reserves, those who were protecting the inner sanctum or something they charged in and rushed at them. Zoe noticed as Luness was bravely fighting with one of these monstrous antelopes but she noticed that for the moment the feral animal had the upper hand. Without hesitation she aimed and sent an arrow in between its ribs, making it roar in anger, turning towards the archer to take vengeance. Zoe was able to tumble away from the deadly horn of the oryx and with that done she unleashed yet another devastating attack on it, puncturing its fur with an enhanced arrow. The beast, however, was tougher than it seemed and bellowing with a pained cry it charged again - this time not missing entirely. Just as Zoe unleashed the lethal shot on her adversary the beast sliced her arm with its razor sharp horn, making the girl yell out in agony as the crimson blood poured out from her arm. Watching the massive animal collapse from the deadly wounds inflicted by her and the phoenix she turned to Luness, grinning in triumph.

" You are brave as hell! " she exclaimed " Next time you want some roasted antelope meat invite me to the party as well, all right? " she grinned, looking at the injury. Fortunately the wound was not deep, the suit protected her from receiving any major injury so she just ignored it altogether, trying to help the others.

" There must be an end to their army! " she cried as she jumped around, trying to expose the weakness of these monsters " Any idea how much farther is Strong down in this tunnel? "

Eos was grateful for the help of Laohu as they battled the chimps together. Thought they were winning the old stag felt fatigue coming over him but it seemed that with the help of the majestic tiger they were able to push them back - and ultimately knock them out, perhaps permanently. Hearing the anguished cry echoing in the air he raised his head and noticed Xiao in pain - though she was in the caring hands of Alec already. Hurrying up to them he stopped, observing the pair.

" Are you all right? " he panted " Do you need medical attention? Someone can surely help you! "

He spoke but he knew that they would need to attend to other matters soon. Alec asked him to go toe to toe with one of the kangaroos and the elderly stag turned his visage towards the one he was supposed to attack.

" With pleasure... " he whispered with a strange desire for combat but then they got interrupted. A lady - presumably Gigi's companion - entered, distracting the enemy momentarily. Putting his hoof down and unleashing a primal cry Eos charged the monstrous kangaroo, trying to impale the creature with his antlers. The beast, however, was more agile and faster than him and it easily sidestepped his devastating charge and delivered a massive kick to his opponent. With a surprised yelp Eos lost his balance and fell to the floor with high speed from the kick. Standing up again he saw the kangaroo emoting mocking sign towards him and his eyes narrowed. Spitting dried blood to the ground the old stag lowered his head.

" Oh, so the long knives have come out... " he whispered, stomping on the ground " Well then, have at thee! "

With that he once more began to charge, his foe anticipated his move and sidestepped again - only to watch the mighty antlers following it and actually hitting it, forcing the kangaroo to recoil and fall back. Now with a deadly glare the two massive animals clashed together, fighting ferociously.

Once Bael's attention reverted back to Manjano, he felt relieved only to find his relief quickly replaced by pain once more, as Bael cleaned and wrapped his arm.

Gasping for breath after Bael was done, and knowing he'd definitely need stitches, Manjano had absolutely no problem in staying where he was and avoiding the fray.

Since he wasn't one to speak, Manjano merely nodded at Bael before forcing himself up into a sitting position, letting out a groan once he was done.

Before Bael could say anything or stop him, Manjano pushed himself backwards with his legs and good arm until his back rested against whatever happened to be behind him and was able to support him for the time being.

Still dazed and in pain from his injury, Manjano cradled his hurt arm against his chest while letting his head slump forward a bit.

As it were, the bandages were already faintly stained from the bleeding. Luckily, the bleeding was slowing down, though it wasn't staunched quite yet.

Luness was grateful when Zoe took the heat off of her, giving her the time she needed to regain her wits and fly onto a nearby table so she was no longer vulnerable and grounded.

Once the oryx was downed and Zoe approached her once more, Luness could only nod in thanks to her before the fight distracted her once more.

Where to next? Should she stay and continue to fight among the others? Or should she fly ahead and try to find Strong?

Uncertain, Luness cried out to Calista, who she had no doubt was somewhere in the fray currently, "Calista! Do you want me to fly ahead and try to find Strong?"

Simon's body jolted to a stop at the sound of what guards were stuck between his table and the wall. He smiled up at Calista before hearing the noises of more guards coming. Then the sound of someone cursing his name made him crane his neck around the side of the table to see Beth had been unfortunate enough to be between his table and a boar. Simon winced at her scalding him, but before hs could apologize he heard the sound of more enemies coming down the hall. Simon watched as Calista leapt from his shoulders and latched onto the face of a deer with horns like spears.

The orangutans with pistols was mildly funny to Simon, he had never seen another apr carry a gun other than Jimbo. Who, at this very moment, had his sights set on the Ape that Calista was currently attached to. The jolting around from the crazed animal was hard getting a good fix in his scope, so Jimbo stuffed his rifle away and then jumped up towards the ceiling. He grabbed onto the channels of wires that Rin had slashed a little further back and began to swing on them like tree branches. Gaining momentum and speed, Jimbo hurled his large bulk at the Oryx as he reached around for another gun. This time he grabbed the shotgun and when he and the Orangutan collided, he quickly scooped Calista up off his face before shoving the barrel into its face. There was a moment, a heart beat of a second, where Jimbo stopped and looked down at the Orangutan. He wasn't such if he should do what needed to be done, after all, the two were of the same species. But in that heart beat, the Orangutan made the decision easy as it lifted its pistol towards Jimbo. It was over in a flash and the apes arm hit the ground with a thud.

Once Beth was free of the table, Simon released it and was about to begin dealing with an Oryx, when the sound of a cry caught his ear. A cry he knew all too well.

"Amber.........AMBER!!! Calista!"

Simon's blood was boiling, as he turned towards the hall the guards had just come down. Nothing was going to stand in his way now. HE lifted the table once more, ignoring the dead boar nailed to the front of it. He lifted it straight over his head and with a yell he hurled it straight at the remaining Orangutans. Simon was not far behind the table, leaping up onto the table crushing the apes underneath and feeding the remaining ones fist fulls of metal and electricity. Simon came around the corner of the hallway and found a room with machinery that he had never seen before. On the other side of the room, attached to the very machine, was Amber.

"AMBER! CALISTA! JIMBO! Quick, she's hurt!!"

Simon was having trouble forming complete thoughts as he raced over to the machine and saw that Amber had a stab wound in her abdomen. He didn't waste any time ripping the short sleeve of his shirt off and balling it up and pressing it against the wound trying to stop the bleeding.

"Amber, can you hear me? We're here to get you out of here. Don't worry, you're gonna be ok."

Before Luness could get an answer from Calista, Simon practically roared at the sound of Strong crying out further down the tunnels. That was most certainly not a good sign.

As Simon armed himself with that table again, Luness quickly made sure she was out of his way, as he beat every enemy in his path to a pulp, or at least enough so that they wouldn't go after him.

Once Simon had made his way further down the tunnel, Luness took flight and skimmed along the ceiling after Simon, who had left an easy path to follow. Especially since that path was full of both dead bodies and groaning enemies.

Once Luness flew into the room that Strong and Simon were in, she quickly landed on one of Simon's shoulders so she could get a better look at Strong and figure out what had happened to her.

Peering around Simon's head, Luness then asked, "Are you okay, dear?"

Shifting her attention to Simon since she was uncertain if Strong would respond, "Is she hurt?"

Sighting the wound that Simon was feebly trying to staunch, Luness then wasted no time in fluttering over to Strong's lap before shifting her head about so she could get a better view of the wound. It looked deep, but it wasn't too big at least.

Glancing up at Strong and then Simon, Luness said, "I believe I can heal it, or at least lessen the damage, but it'll sting a bit and I'll need you, Strong, to stay still."

Glancing over at Simon, Luness then said, "Would be so kind as to hold her still for me, dear?"

Jhet was still thinking when the animals guarding the cave left to fight. A few minutes later some Watch agents came down the hallway to help the injured comrade. Jhet followed them and noticed how they already had a medical expert,so Jhet backed up a little,"If you need assistance I'm a medical expert also." Jhet said to them. When the female Watch agent asked the male one to hold the injured woman down Jhet was thinking why not numb her. If they are going to heal her and she has a stab in her side. Anything they do will be painful. Out of this Jhet stayed quiet.

Beth saw Simon turn and look at her, and she gave a vague wave in response. Really, it was fine. She wasnt injured and it had been efficient. And it was still efficient, as the cry sounded and the large man repeated the process to get to Strong.

Beth knew she might not be of help if Strong was injured, so she drew her hunting knife as the others ran to her aid. They couldnt risk the dazed enemies following them and attacking, and they couldnt dawdle with trying to take one for questioning. One by one, she drew the knife quickly across their throats. A few tried to fight, but they were clumsy and weak after the attacks. It was harder with the orangutans, as she had always liked the giant orange apes. Beth switched to Xray and heat and scanned the surrounding rooms. At least for now, they seemed to be clear. She stepped into the doorway and spoke.

"I think we're clear for now, but we should move as soon as Strong is able." She said, glancing between the gathered members of her team. Spots of warmth on the tables and equipment caught her attention. "Whoever was here with Strong isnt long gone, and I dont want to be here if they come back with help." Beth added, stepping into the room if she was needed.

Then, she realized there was one more person than there should be. She raised her cross bow at the girl. "Who the hell are you?" She probably looked pretty fearsome, with blood streaked all over her and her clothes torn, but in the back of her mind, she was reminded that she was wearing hipster glasses that probably ruined the effect.

Jhet turned and looked at the girl,"Who am I.Well I took out two Mercs with my partner. I know you didn't notice, but your welcome. I also am the niece of agent Crawford and agent Bell(improvising I didn't think I had to make up names for the uncle and aunt)" Jhet said to the girl,"And since we're asking here who are you" Jhet fired back. She really didn't have the time to argue with a Watch agent, but she wanted to win this argument. Bandit meanwhile was just getting to the room from the fight. He was riding the boar like a wild ferret,"Hey Jhet I..." Bandit was about to say,but he saw the look in Jhet's eyes. She wanted to help, but it looked like she was going to blow,"Hey hey calm down ladies. We share a common goal of helping this agent and taking out the rogues too. So while it lasts lets just get along please" Bandit said thinking this was going to backfire.

Wednesday cursed herself in her own mind for having missed, and saw Bael's injury. She had to help him- what kind of enemy shoots someone who's only trying to help fix his teammates up? Of course that was a silly thing to wonder, but still, it was jarring to her, and she truely thought it was not she who had shot Bael.

She abandoned her hide out in the bushes near the enemy to make a dash towards Bael and Manjero. What she didn't count on was one of the feindish small wolverines attacking her, climbing up on her and scratching at her side as it did, thankfully Cerci jumped in and swatted the wolverine off, taking to fighting it herself- not that that particular battle lasted terribly long.

Wednesday briefly thanked Cerci, before appearing at Bael's side. By the time she got there he was already bandaged up. She was thankful the chaos had restarted the battle so that the group who seemed to need some help had time to get it. If only she had all of the tools she needed. There wasn't much more she could do for them than had already been done, but she offered what little help she could. Digging a small packet of basic pain relievers from her pocket she asked, "Do either of you need one? It's not much... But it could... Help."

Boris roared as the grenade went off, his grip tightened on Gigi who at once started struggling. Boris could no longer see but he felt Ash dive for the poodle and drew back his free paw to break his neck, as the blow was about to fall Totus hit Boris from above and jarred him so he missed, sparing Ash's life.

At the same time he had no defence for Falarion, who's tackle landed perfectly. The Bear's fur and thick skin were tough however, evolved to take the attack of another bear, so it made Boris even angrier.

Duik charged as soon as he heard Totus yell and dove at the kangaroo, aiming for its neck and torso. He grabbed it by a corner of its protective vest and dragged it to the ground, taking care not to get slashed by its massive feet. The buffaloes, seeing so many things happen at once froze in place before beginning to back away.

"Don't just stand there you useless cows! Help me!" Boris yelled, he swung a paw at Totus and jerked his head in the direction of Ash to try and headbutt him hard. he also aimed a bite at Falarion, but in doing all that however Gigi slipped from his grasp and fell to the ground. She rolled and tried to get up, gasping for air, but was disoriented and she fell back.

Alec, now that the chaos had broken out dive for his gun. He rolled and sprang up again with it in his hand, switching the chamber to electrical stun rounds and put two each into the buffalo's legs. They toppled with surprised bellows.

The last of the enemies, seeing there wasn't much hope left, fled with their lives back to the entrance of the catacombs.

Amber had seen the young girl sneak into the room, but was very careful to keep her gaze away from her so as not to give her away. Through the pain she felt a wash of relief. The Watch had found her. It wasn't a moment after that then she heard a familiar yell. She struggled to lift her head, but when she managed she saw her team standing over her.

"S-Simon.." She tried to smile, but it turned into a wince of pain. "Still pulling my ass...out of the fire huh?..You...must be tired of it...by now."

It was only when she felt the pressure on her side that she remembered she was bleeding.

"Amber!" She nearly didn't recognize the voice as it had none of its usual edge. Calista was perched on the machine's beside her, too afraid of Amber's weakened condition to touch her.

"You guys can fix her right? You have to!" It was then she noticed Jhet. "Is that?.."

"Yeah." Amber said softly. "Her parents were..." But she couldn't finish the sentence.

"She's one of us Beth, I read her file." Calista said.

She listened to the exchange between the new girl and Beth and a little of her hard tone returned when she broke into the conversation.

"The ferret's right, cool it both if you. Just help get Amber patched up."

Amber nodded at Luness, she needed the help. "Jhet...do what you can...please." She added, knowing that the phoenix would likely be able to stem the internal bleeding, but she would still need to be stitched up.

As the room quieted a distinct and rythmic beeping could be heard coming from the table where drake had been working.

At the combative response of the girl, Beth put her crosshairs over the girl's head. In the back of her mind, it occurred to her that the girl couldnt be much more than 15 or so. She appeared to be wearing some protective gear, even a helmet, but that wouldn't help if the bolt went between her eyes, or in the throat.

To Beth, it sounded like complete baloney. The names meant nothing to her, and she wouldnt care if the girl had taken out three hundred Mercs. It was far too convenient that a helpful soul appeared so suddenly. And what was in that bag? At best, she stole some stuff and wandered down here. At worst, she kills us before we get out of here. Would I put this past the Rogues? No way. One more body won't matter if it means the whole team gets out alive.

But the instant Strong and Calista spoke, she lowered her weapon. Beth looked at the rest of the team and nodded once. "If you say so."

Then, she looked at the girl, Jhet, and her face softened considerably. "Sorry. Cant be too careful. I like your fire, but its not usually a good idea to sass someone aiming at you." There was a little humor in her tone now, and she motioned the girl back to Strong. Hopefully there would be no hard feelings.

Giving them space to work, Beth wandered toward the other components of the machine Strong was strapped to and began looking it over. She had switched to normal vision, and didnt expect to understand it all, but thought it might be a good idea to get a look at it anyway. It just looked like a jumble of metal and wires. Maybe the table would hold some answers..
