Wandering Soul
Zoe followed the others as they figured out in which direction they must head. Beth found the correct way while both Rin and Jimbo aimed to take out the two guards who were unfortunate enough to stand nearby. As the bodies fell limp on the floor Zoe started to feel a bit uneasy... this was way too simple, an organization of this magnitude should have tighter security than this.
No sooner did this doubt formulated in her head when the alarms started to ring with a deafening sound, calling every single guard in the vicinity to join the fight. A dangerous flame lit in both of her eyes as she prepared her bow. With a menacing grin she rushed forward.
" Good! I have been aching for a fight! " she roared as she unleashed a hail of arrows on their foes. The patrol - as trained as they were - were unable to escape the rain of deadly arrows unleashed upon them, one by one they fell on the cold floor, their bodies being just one of many that will be forever be buried here. Fervor clouded her sight as she struck enemies down one after another. It was almost... invigorating, she relished in the brutality unfolding around her. She saw how everyone else were doing their best and she felt that she need to push herself harder than ever before. Her unerring precision allowed her to pierce the heart of many who dared foolishly rush up to them - but their numbers seemed to be endless.
After a while, however, she noticed that every attacker around her seemed to be strangely familiar. The fighters wore a familiar uniform... one she knew all too well. She paused for a moment, her eyes widening in surprise and horror.
" No... don't tell me that... " she shook her head, clearing her vision - and her fear came true. The patrol lay dead on the floor, that much she saw - but then she saw a lot of her arrows laying around, scattered on the empty floor with no enemies in sight. It was an illusion again... a trick of mind.
" No, not again! Not now! " she cried out as she turned towards the room. She saw Calista, Jimbo and Simon fighting with the leopards and the mercs and she immediately joined the fray. Seeing how they were handling the massive cats she decided to attack the mercs behind them. They seemed to be more skilled and tenacious than their brethren as they dodged her first arrows with ease - but she did not give up. They danced around the room, shooting at each other one bullet and one arrow after the other, the deafening sound of battle was almost disturbing, the chaos ensuing was greater than she could have imagined - but Zoe did not want to give up: with a precise strike she pinned down one of the mercs and sent a lethal shot through his skull.
" Well Doc, these arrows are pure awesomeness. " she laughed, turning to her second foe, unleashing hell upon him.

Eos found it strange that Alec smiled at him in a strange way - it was a weird feeling, one that he felt when Zoe was but a small child, he felt warmth filling his heart once again and he just silently chuckled, turning to Ash now. 'Stag' was a rather... plain name for him but alas he could not blame the man: he did skip almost every opportunity for interaction and he just jumped into the thick of the action. It impressed him how he predicted what they were capable of so he just nodded.
" I shall seek shelter nearby then. " he proclaimed " If we are to escape some of you can mount me - I run fast and I am able to escort you to safety should we need to flee. That is, unless you decide to put up a fight in which case I would gladly join the fray. "
He nodded again as Alec explained what their true purpose was and looked around.
" If we stay vigilant we can not fail - once we begin the negotiations we will need to buy as much time for the extraction team as possible. Please be witty and use the words to your advantage - try to weave a conversation which is difficult to understand for them, that way we can slow this exchange down. "
With that said he retreated behind a rock and a tree and sat silently, waiting for the action to begin.
