Wandering Soul
Zoe stumbled in the tunnels as she felt that her power was draining rapidly. She could not muster to move forward, she could not stand up any more - it seemed that she would finally be beaten by an insidious, malevolent force even she could not understand.
" Ringing ears... blurred vision... " the sound started again " The end approaches... "
But the end did not come that day. Beth swooped in and grabbed the exhausted girl, dragging her out from the tunnel with a strength that seemed almost impossible for her. With a feeble voice she murmured, looking at her savior.
" Beth... I owe you my life... " she whispered, coughing heavily " I will... I will repay you in... in kind. "
They barely managed to escape the tunnel where they could finally rest. She watched as Beth rushed towards the bus where everyone were waiting for them. She smiled faintly and only now did she remember the words she heard in the tunnel... they were a warning of some sort, a herald to something dark. The words gnawed at her soul like poison...
" Poison... " he eyes popped wide as the realization struck her " The bullet... was poisoned... "
Immediately she started to search for something in her suit when she felt a sharp pain at her heart, making her hiss in agony. It was at its final stage, the agony was almost unbearable. She finally found what she was looking for - a vaccine containing a strange, green liquid. Raising her other hand she prepared to inject herself with it... but then she felt the world going black and everything fell into complete darkness...

Eos smiled at Alec as he spoke to the old stag and he let out a silent chuckle.
" Well, you know what they say - old stags are the strongest ones. With age comes wisdom - and strength. "
He smiled watching as everyone returned from the expedition safely... everyone but Zoe. Mustering the strength to stand up the old stag walked outside of the bus, looking around carefully. His eyes filled with horror when he noticed the girl collapsed next to the tunnel and he rushed to her.
" Zoe, are you all right? " he asked but got no answer. He leaned closer to her only to reel back in sheer panic - her heartbeat was faint and it was rapidly slowing. Putting her on his back he dashed back towards the bus but then he saw the chopper arriving just in time. Figuring that with a helicopter it might be faster to reach their destination he changed direction and rushed towards it, putting her down on to the ground once he arrived, oblivious to the vaccine in her hand which she still clutched.
" Please someone! A medic or anyone, what ails her? She does not answer, nor she wakes up... please help! "
