Mr. Bones jaw dropped, to the ground. The skeleton picked up his lower mandible and put it back on.


"talking bones! I dare say I have much meat on my bones! I am fit and muscular see?!"


The skeleton flexed his now excitant biceps.


"Hahaha! See Blind blood sucker! See my muscles!"


The whole scene was weird even by cirque standards for anyone watching.

Nora tried to wake up but, was pulled back into her nightmares by Abigor. She hated that man with every inch of her being, he hurt her and her reputation.


"Let.....let go of me Abigor.....let go.....me...."


She mumbled more as she appeared to trying to rip off non-existent ropes as she mumbled more.


"let me go....let me..."


Her nightmare was making Abigor seem more evil than he actually was, his wicked grin flashing in front of her.


"No...no...no..."


As she moved to pull at the non-existent ropes she felt someone's arm. It jolted her out of her state although she thought it was someone else. That was made obvious by what she yelled.


"NO! DON-"


She opened her eyes to see it was Kora. A look of relief washed over face.


"Oh thank god it was dream.....For a minute I thought this horrible man Abigor was here....."


She took several deep breaths as she rubbed her head.

Marius cocked an eyebrow at Mr.Bones. He saw something more than just bones flex and in his state that baffeled him. "I see your point sir......but what are you? And why demand I explain myself when there is nothing to explain?" He asked with a huff and straightening out the long portion of his hair.

Kora watched Nora dream, starting to get a little more concerned as she kept dreaming. Knitting her eyebrows together, Kora flicked her tail over her face to no avail, and watched her, afraid. She didn't know what to do, and when Nora screamed, Kora flinched, her ears falling flat. "Are you ok?" Kora asked her, tilting her head.

Alex sighed, holding Marius' arm soothingly. "Marius, playing with the big cats will get you killed, and you are defiantly not in your right mind. You need to sit down for a while." she said, flapping her wings as she looked at him. "Seriously, sit down. I don't trust you while high around any of this." she said, gesturing to the animals.

"I'll be just fine winged one, I am very much tough to kill!" He grinned. "Besides, look at them! They sound like they want to play so badly." He tugged his arm away from her and quickly moved to the tiger's cage.

Alex sighed and used all of her strength to try and hold back Marius. "Marius, the winged one wants you to slow down and think! You are on drugs and not sane right now so you really need to go sit down." She said to him, tugging back as much as possible as she tried to keep him from killing himself.

"But I am perfectly sane winged one! The only thing I'm high on is l---Ahhhhh!!" One not so nice swipe across the face with claws and blood curdling scream later, he finally listened to Alex and backed away. Some nice, fairly deep cuts right across his face.

Alex looked at him, seeing the tiger swipe across from his face. "See? Now you need to be stitched up from these cuts." She said to him, tugging his arm as she tried to bring him back into her trailer. She needed to get him fixed up before he bleed out onto the floor, because not only would the cats acquire a taste for his blood, he might even try to drink his own blood.

"I'll be fine, the wounds will heal on their own." He was still resisting her, but not as much this time. It was a little tough when holding his face to try and stop the bleeding. Although he was right, the wounds were already healing on their own, not very fast but they were healing.

Sayuri

"Dry... creamy... It sounds just like cake..." Sayuri said in a soft tone, as though she was slightly daydreaming about cake at this point. "I hate cake..." Sayuri said, sitting up slowly. When Paul mentioned being a demon, Sayuri pulled her knees in and hugging them with her arms. It almost seemed like she was freezing to death, the way she was shaking lightly. "There's no such thing as demons... They're not real... There's only humans... only humans..." Sayuri kept mumbling to herself. "N-no... It's happening again..." Sayuri barely managed to say to herself, fear in her voice as everything around her slowly twisted into a strange dimension. "J-just human! I-I'm just human...!" Sayuri started saying to herself more and more, rocking slowly and trying to pretend nothing was happening.

Kaname

After wandering aimlessly for a while, Kaname was lost in thought about her surroundings and how she wish she could see them. Not paying attention to where she was actually walking, the girl was suddenly brought to reality by some sort of siren. The girl tried to look around, though it was more of to find out where the sound was coming from. Chinami, one of Kaname's accompanying angels, slowly appeared floating beside Kaname and helped her with finding out the direction of the sound. Of course, it was a bit of a mistake to have Chinami appear, as the few people around took notice, and one even took a picture of the angel without even thinking. The guy, in shock, stood there and kept mindlessly taking pictures of the angel following behind Kaname, the other people there also in shock. Once Chiname vanished, he nearly dropped his camera while the others just pretended like nothing happened.


After a little more walking, Kaname finally got to where the sound of the siren came from. She was too focused on figuring out what the sound was though, and she didn't notice until it was too late that she'd been walking straight at somebody. Bumping into them, the girl stumbled back a few steps, then fell down. Luckily she'd landed in a somewhat sitting position though, as she wasn't very good when it came to hitting her head, or painful things in general for that matter. Kaname sat there confused, trying to figure out what happened. It took her a few seconds, but she realized she'd just bumped into something or somebody, and that she'd fallen backwards onto the ground.

"Well you see...it's nothing dear, I am still just a bit shaky from before," Daphne said hoping her half-fake excuse would cover the fact that she kept fidgeting with her gloves.


"Speaking of before, I feel it would be best if we left the cirque grounds and headed for the town. I know how Nora gets after episodes like these. There is also a good friend of mine who works at the hospital nearby. I am low on supplies and I assume that Sayuri is going to need new dressings on her wounds and I hadn't bandaged them yet."


Daphne paused to look at Abigor realizing she had not allowed him to respond.


"I mean if that is alright with you my love. I won't go if you do not want too."

Nora looked at Kora, trying her best to not let the nightmare she had effect her.


"Oh...yes. Just...haunted by some not so good memories."


She stood up and started digging through some cabnits,


"I swear, I thought I had forgotten about that rat bastard but, for some reason he haunts me again."


She found a bottle of wine she had stashed away in her trailer. Paul was never pleased with her drinking so she hid her liquor.


"It was just a dream though. Just a dream....."


She opened the bottle of wine and took swig of it. She offered the bottle to Kora.


"You want some?"


She looked at the flowers.


"Where did those come from?"

Paul shifted from trying to get Sayuri to being herself to figuring out why she didn't remember him and why she though demons were not real.


"Oh no my darling demons are very real, humans just think they are fake."


He watched as she threw a fit, he couldn't believe she thought she was human.


"You're not human, stop telling yourself that you are. The more you fight it, the worse it gets."


He offered his hand to her.


"Come, just on the other side of these woods is a place for non-humans to be who they are. We can help you."

Mr. Bones laughed at Marius.


"Played fired....got burned."


He laughed as he walked over to the trailer area.


"Plant woman! The blind one decided to play with big kitties!"


He found a bench and sat down, puffing more green smoke out of his pipe.

Sammy couldn't belive the day she was having, she went to her car and radioed the hospital.


"I will be there soon."


She got back out of her car to scan the area for any additional clues. She spotted tracks going into the forest.


"Damn cirque was probably behind it."


She sighed as she looked at the various people going for walks and enjoying the day. She felt someone bump into her as she went to go back to her car.


"Watch where you're going."


She didn't even look at the person as she went back to her car, she needed to check in on her little drunk man.

"Alright, if you insist..." He looked at her a little concerned and ran a hand through his light blonde hair. He was a little taken off guard by her suddenly saying they need to go to town. "Oh, no trouble at all love. I will even drive you there if you would like?"

Kora Smiled as Nora got up, and the eager little panther followed her, letting her tail thwack against the walls as she walked. "The flowers are from Daphne." She said, turning the corner to look at Nora. "You know, there are ways to forget about others, one is alcohol." She said, taking the bottle from Nora and taking a long swig. "And another is finding new love." she purred, smiling cheekily at her like she had done nothing wrong.

Alex looked at Marius and with one swift movement, pulled out her wings and flapped, pulling back Marius as far as possible. "Come on you stubborn vampire, move your butt!" She grumbled, yanking even harder. Marius was a strong man, but when he was all drugged and bleeding, he was defiantly not as strong.

Sayuri

"Y-you're wrong...! D-demons, g-ghosts... T-they don't exist...! T-there's only h-h-humans...!" Sayuri kept trying to believe that she was just human, and that there was no such thing as magic and all these other powers. She didn't want to believe any of it was real, and that she was just human. The entire realm around her seemed to just quickly shrink into a small sphere right in front of Sayuri's chest, then float inside of her body. After a few seconds, Sayuri let go of her knees and went flat on the ground, no longer conscious. Even while unconscious though, she managed to mumble words about being just human, though the words ended after just a few seconds.

Kaname

"S-sorry..." Kaname said, slowly standing up. "I really do wish I could watch where I'm going, but it's hard..."Kaname said, though mostly to herself. Not really able to focus at this point, she didn't feel that her blindfold had loosened up and could fall off any moment. "I-I'd like to apologize, but I don't know if I'm facing the right direction..." The girl moved her head to the sides slowly, trying to listen for any sounds like walking. By this point anybody would be able to guess, based on her voice, that she was a child. It was also fairly possible to figure out she had poor eyesight, or that there was something keeping her from seeing well, possibly at all.

Daphne grabbed Abigor's shoulder, having to stand on the tips of her toes to do so, and finally gave him a heart warming smile. "Please do not fret my love, I promise you that everything is alright. As for that offer of a ride, I kindly accept dear."


That was when Daphne was interrupted by Mr. Bones shouting. A little startled by the smoke surrounded skeleton, Daphne fell back onto her heels and turned towards Mr. Bones, giving an apologetic face to Abigor before.


"Mr. Bones are you referring to Marius?"


Daphne paused to think about what Mr. bones meant by 'big kitties' until it hit her.


"Oh dear, I hope his injuries are not too severe. If they are I don't have the right stuff with me now."

Marius stumbled backwards as she tugged him. He was definitely weaker than usual and then recent injury was only making it worse. "I'll be fine..." He slurred. Now letting her drag him back like a ragdoll.

Abigor let out a heavy sigh. "I swear that boy is more trouble than he's worth... No matter how severe, he should be just fine dear. Some bandages and sleep and he'll be good as new. Trust me. I didn't make him weak."

Daphne let out a small laugh "That is true Marius can be extremely stubborn at times. But I'll trust you on his recovery, since you -"


Daphne paused. 'Made him? Wait a moment...' Daphne thought to herself. She stared up at Abigor with a puzzled look.


"Abigor my love, is Marius the boy you told me about way back when? You know the poor young boy you saved?"

"Hmm?" He had completely forgotten that he'd told her about him. He never mentioned a name or any of the other details other than he saved him. "Oh! Yes. Marius is the poor boy I saved years ago. I never thought I'd see him here really."

Mr. Bones gave Daphne a 'who else am I talking about look' but, it as hard to tell that on his skeletal face.


"Big kitties scratch the blind blood sucker."


He let out another puff of green smoke, then looked at Abigor.


"Playing with more fire? Snake lady is delusional already, must you mix up more?"


He crossed his legs, and glared at the two.

Nora gave Kora a curious look.


"New love....wait...."


She plopped down on her couch. A look of dread cross her face.


"Then that wasn't a dream......ohhh! Why must I be so stupid?!"


She buried her face into her hands and let out frustrated kind of yell. She ran her hands through her hair as she looked at the wall.


"Both of them, both of those rat bastards are well, rat bastards. I'm so done with men being this way! Done I'm so done."


She looked at Kora.


"I'm so done that I am giving up being in any sort of meaningful relationship with men. All their good for is a quick sleep. Since they just love to hurt and lie."


She stood up, she couldn't let herself be drug around by lying men. But she would feed off their desires.


"How about this, I'm hungry, I'm sure you are too. There is this fantastic little café that serves the best brunch and coffee. Let me get some nicer clothes on and lets go okay?"

Paul shook his head at Sayuri.


"They are very much real...."


He watched as she passed out. He stood up and walked over to her. He carefully picked up the young performer and walked back to his trailer. The thing that would freak people out is how he didn't seem upset by this, not angry, not annoyed, but concerned. He spotted Daphne talking to Mr. Bones.


"Daphne, I found Sayuri in the forest. She must have a concussion, as she thinks we don't exist and claims she is human. Don't tell Nora about this though. I think she is upset enough already."

Kora smiled at Nora, sitting down on a chair. "I am afraid so. I did my best to try and keep them away, but I am afraid I do not understand the concept of marriage. In my pack, a mate is for life, but only if they both desire each other." Kora explained, before looking at Nora. "I do not usually partake in earth customs, but this seems worthy of a shot. I shall go with you." Kora said, standing up. "Is what I am wearing suffice?" She said, looking down at her skimpy shirt and small skirt. She really didn't own anything else though.

Alex groaned and kept pulling him, glad that he was hurt so it made it easier. "Marius, I am trying to be nice and help you. Whatever happened, it messed you up good and I am trying to be helpful." she said softly, landing on the ground and starting to tug him along.

"Well thank you for telling me this Mr. Bones, but I am afraid that I am low on supplies to heal. If I am to help him, which I will because what mother would I be if I don't, I really need to go to the human hospital right away and get what I need from my supplier."


At that moment, Daphne, a little embarrassed as she had used the m-word when talking about caring for Marius, turned around to face Paul as he called out to her. In his arms was Sayuri, who looked even more beat up than before. The wrappings that Daphne had already applied on Sayuri were askew and dried tear lines made marks on Sayuri's cheeks. What made the sight worse was the look of concern on Paul's face. She had seen him like this before, but she knew that it was extremely rare.


"Oh Sayuri," Daphne said as she took the unconscious girl from Paul, cradling Sayuri in her arms.


"I knew something was off when she had left the trailer, but I don't think its a concussion. When i was checking her wounds there was nothing major internally and surprisingly her only head wound was a stratch on the cheek."


Daphne thought of more possibilities as she looked back towards Paul and then to Abigor.


"What ever the matter, we better get to the hospital immediately. Paul I promise not to tell Nora as long as you check on Marius. According to Mr. Bones he got into a fight with the tigers. Abigor, we need to leave right away."

"Oh shush. You don't know anything odd one." He glared back at the skeleton. "Let's get going dearest. There is a lot of medical help needed right now. We shouldn't hesitate much longer." He frowned as Paul approached with the small unconcious doll. Seems like today was awfully chaotic for them...

Marius swore under his breath and followed her. "Fine,fine....I'll follow you winged one..." He sniffled and wiped his face. Streams of tears now smeared with the blood. For once he actually looked like he was in pain. Something the daredevil hardly ever showed.

Alex looked up at Marius, sighing softly as she reached up a tender hand and wiped some of his tears. "Now now, no need to cry. We can solve this." She said, smiling softly. "Things must have been rough to end you up like this." She spoke softly, taking his arm and tugging him towards her trailer, and pulling him inside. It was messy, and full of all sorts of inventions, but just a ways away, was a couch. Smiling, Alex pulled him over to the couch and made him sit down, before shooting off towards her kitchen, grabbing the medical kit and coming back to him, antiseptic in hand.

"Rough? No...no...not at all! I feel on top of the world!" He flashed a quick, forced smirk before sniffling and wiping the tears from his face again. "The only thing rough is this hangover from last night." He chuckled half heartedly. Something was clearly bothering him more than just the hangover and making him act out more than usual while high as a kite on whatever he had smoked.

Alex sighed and sat on the couch next to Marius, dabbing his face gently with an antiseptic cloth. "Marius, don't lie to me. I know what it feels like to be hurting, or scared, and it is written all over your face." Alex said as soothingly as possible. "You know you can talk to me about anything right? I mean, none of us are exactly human but that doesn't mean I don't have a heart." She said softly, continuing to dab his wounds.
