False recognition flashed over Rowan's face. Of course, she remembered who he was. He had been in her nightmares because sharing was quite literally Rowan's literal nightmare.

"Ahh yes, the kidnapper I socked in the face."
She nodded, giving him a slight smirk.

Her smirk stayed as he complimented her. When he said he was digging her look, she gave him a little twirl around. Rowan was naturally a flirt, even if she was mortified by what she had shared with him on that snowy night.

"Cupid's kiss is what makes you fall in love, duh."
She gave him an exaggerated duh.

But then he rejected the kiss, despite putting the money forward. She scoffed and leaned forward, giving him a small kiss on his cheek.

He then suggested they get out of there. While it was tempting, she couldn't just leave. She was the only one working the booth, so she couldn't. It was sweet he wanted her to run off with him and she was tempted, but then the things she had told him flashed back into her memory.

"While I would love to get away from mono, I sadly cannot."
She saw the disappointment in her eyes and came up with an idea,
"I get off in a few hours. I guess if you were still here we could do something here, then."
She shrugged nonchalantly.

jc had momentarily walked to the back to text her brother and see what he was up to. She had been at work all day and was unable to check in with him. True to Romeo's core, he was making love potions at a shop and even offered to make one for her, which she thought was entirely silly, but at this point, she didn't want to shoot her brother's idea of fantasy love down so she had agreed.

She walked back out to the front of her bar, blasted by all the noise. She rolled her neck to get back in the swing of things and sauntered up to the bar. When she finally looked up, she noticed a man. It took her a second and his saying where she had known him from to recognize him. The man she had kissed and dipped at midnight. She had also given him a fake name, she had been Briar Rose that night. She gave him a quizzical look and said,
"No, can't say that I do."
She pursed her lips as if she were thinking. She definitely recognized him, but she wasn't about to give up her cards, not when she could have fun.

"You'll have to remind me."
She shrugged and then said,
"What can I get ya?"
She noticed as another man walked up next to him and she almost commented on it, but decided she would see how he reacted before she said anything about that.

lay stared at Molly, his hands clasping hers tightly, as her words hit him like a ton of bricks.
"P-pregnant?"
he stammered, his voice barely audible. His gaze dropped to the test on the counter, and suddenly, the room seemed to spin around him, closing in like a suffocating fog.

"Fuck,"
he muttered under his breath, letting go of her hands to rake his fingers through his hair in frustration.
"Not again."
His voice cracked as he stepped out of the room, desperate for air, his chest heaving like he had just run a marathon. He needed a moment to collect himself—to wrestle with the overwhelming emotions threatening to consume him.

Minutes later, Clay returned, calmer but still shaken. He wrapped his arms around Molly from behind, pressing a tender kiss to the back of her head.
"You said you haven't checked it yet,"
he murmured softly.
"Let's look at this together."
He knew his earlier reaction had been far from ideal. It must have hurt her, made her feel even worse—and that was the last thing he wanted. This wasn’t her fault; it was his carelessness that had led them here.

Taking the test from the stone cold countertop, Clay hesitated for a moment. His nerves were frayed, but he forced himself to focus.
"No matter the results,"
he said in a gentler tone than before,
"I’m not putting you back on the streets, Mol."
He shook off his nerves and silently prayed for a negative result as he turned the test over.

The word hit him like a punch to the gut:
Pregnant.
His hand trembled slightly as he tried to steady his breathing.
"Okay,"
he managed to say after clearing his throat, though the word felt heavier than it should have.
"We are pregnant."

The weight of those words sank into him like an anchor pulling him down. His mind raced back to Darcy—to that moment when she had told him she was pregnant and how he had walked out without looking back. And now here he was, in the same town, hearing those same life-altering words again. His stomach churned with anxiety as he tried to process it all.

"Another baby,"
Clay whispered to himself, the reality settling over him like a storm cloud.

ROMAN MARSHALL
Roman hadn't been able to stop smiling the whole day. Seeing Auriela have so much fun during their Valentines date was more than rewarding. As long as she was enjoying herself, they couldn't be happier. Her bubbly energy was incredibly infectious, and Roman couldn't help the giddiness they felt from her own affection towards them. She was such a sparkle of light. A ray of sunshine that never failed to brighten Roman's day. Their heart swelled with joy from her kind words, giving them a sense of validation and reassurance that they made her happy. "I do it all for you, Aurie." Roman spoke in that soft and loving tone as they smiled down at her. Once they got their cotton candy, Roman and Auriela left the carnival together, having had their fill of the festivities. But their special day didn't end there.

Later on, the two lovers found themselves sitting on a bench together, Roman's arm wrapped around Auriela as they gazed into the night sky. The stars twinkled above them whilst the darkness surrounding was lit up by the fireflies. A truly scenic moment that others might have found cliché. But to those two, it was exactly what they cherished. Right then and there, nothing else mattered. It was simply a romantic time shared between lovers. As they sat together, Roman turned to stare down at Auriela, admiring her peaceful expression. They also had a look of their own. A look of thought. And worry. As if something was on their mind. Which there was. The exact same thing that had been on Roman's mind for a while now.

Auriela had noticed when looking up at Roman, and she asked them if everything was alright. Her tender voice had brought Roman back to her. They stayed silent as they stared. Desire and contemplation was gnawing at Roman's mind. They sat up whilst giving Auriela a more serious look, placing their hand onto her arm. They then spoke up with the most sincerity in their voice they've ever had. "You know...I've never felt this way about anyone else before. Having so much admiration for someone. Cherishing every moment that you get to spend with them. Caring about them so much that you'd swear to never let anything happen to them. It's such a bizzare feeling. And it only ever really blossomed when I met you."

Seeing Auriela's hazel eyes shining from Roman's words made their heart beat against their chest. They could see the twinkle of the stars in her eyes, only further highlighting how beautiful she was. And Roman only kept going. They gently held Auriela's hand in both of theirs as they continued. "Aurie. No words could even begin to scratch the surface of how much I love you. You're amazing. Before we met, I was just a simple person living a simple life. But then, once we were together, it's like you've opened up a new world for me. A world that's just like fantasy when you're around. And someone like you, who's so joyous and full of life, is hard to come by. That's why you're so special to me. Every moment with you feels like a dream. It's so wonderful. And I don't wanna let go of what we have. I don't wanna let YOU go, Aurie. There's not a single person I can think of who I'd rather spend the rest of my life with." Roman then got down from the bench, getting onto one knee. "That's why I have one more gift for you. And this might be crazy, but..."

Roman reached into their pocket before pulling out the little velvet box that they had with them the whole time. Inside, as they opened it, was none other than an engagement ring that they had got. Just for Auriela. As they presented the ring to her, they could feel a rush of nervousness building up inside. But Roman didn't let that deter them. "I might not have much to my name. But I would give up everything that I owned if it meant I could be with you forever. So, Auriela?" Roman lowered their head and took a breath to calm their nerves, before they then looked back up at Auriela with the softest of smiles, and the biggest of puppy eyes. "Will you marry me?"

ennedy's tear-filled eyes met Bryson's as her voice cracked under the weight of her emotions.
"Wait, when did you cancel? Why didn’t you tell me?"
she asked, struggling to keep her composure. His reassuring words, promising they were in this together, touched her deeply, easing her fear. Her forehead pressed against his, her voice soft yet tinged with lingering tears.
"I don’t want you to feel alone... I love you, Bryson. Being around you just feels right."

Pulling back slightly, Kennedy gazed into his eyes, her blue ones now softer and filled with warmth. She wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled gently.
"I promise, from now on, we’re in this together. We’ll figure it all out together."
Her smile grew as she wiped away the last of her tears and adjusted herself on his lap. Reaching for the doughboys left on the table, she chuckled lightly.
"Well, now you know why I’ve barely touched food—and why I wanted to share. You overpaid, my love."

Turning to him with a playful laugh, she held the doughboy to his lips. The tension that had gripped her earlier began to dissolve as she felt the comfort of their shared resolve. Knowing Bryson was staying and that they were a team brought her peace—she wouldn’t have to face doing this alone.

;; Monica
Monica's amusement at the situation only grew as Arlo rambled on. She hoped it wasn't too cruel, but she did rather enjoy working him up. The way he rambled and got all flustered was cute. Besides, she'd never be able trust a man who managed to play it cool all the time. Arlo struggling to keep his wits about him around her only gave her the impression that the man was genuine.

As she listened, her amusement turned into something more genuinely appreciative. The way he prioritized her comfort and safety was really sweet. Although it was a simple thing, something that should be the bare minimum, really, she wasn't too used to her comfort being account. A lot of the guys that asked her out just tried to get her to their place. Most men had only one end goal in mind, to get Monica in bed. They assumed that because of her job, she'd be easy to get. She'd admit, she wasn't all that difficult, but even she had her standards.

Meeting up with any other customer outside of the club would be out of the question, but she'd already said yes to Arlo. And even after a more thorough consideration, she was willing to stand by that response. "Well, I haven't changed my yes to a no, so I'd say its not going too horribly," Monica smiled, taking a step closer, crossing the boundary of personal space.

"Public places only sounds great. And, when it's time to go to your place I expect a glowing letter of recommendation from that old lady," she laughed, gently teasing him. "You know, a lot of guys here have totally fallen in love with me and asked me out. I mean, I can't blame them really, who wouldn't fall in love with these?" She glanced down and gave her chest a little shimmy, emphasizing her point. "But still, I've never said yes before. Until now. You're one lucky man, Arlo," Monica tossed him a flirtatious wink.

elle couldn’t help but smile as she stood by the door frame near Jupiter, her cheeks warming with a blush she tried to hide. There was something about being near him that made her heart flutter in a way she couldn’t quite explain. She tilted her head slightly, letting out a soft chuckle as she scrunched up her nose.
"It will be a blast,"
she said, her voice light and filled with anticipation. Her eyes followed his every movement as he pulled on his jacket with effortless ease, and before she could stop herself, she bit her lip subconsciously, a small habit that betrayed the excitement bubbling inside her.

She decided to tease him, hoping to mask the butterflies in her stomach.
"If you want to be technical, this is technically our third date,"
she said playfully, sticking out her tongue at him. The words slipped out naturally, but the idea of it being their "third" date made her heart race even faster. She wasn’t sure if he thought of it that way, but the thought lingered in her mind like a secret.

As soon as he finished slipping on his shoes, Belle wasted no time looping her arm around his. The gesture felt natural and warm, though it might have looked like something more to anyone watching—a couple enjoying each other’s company. To Belle, though, it was simply her way of expressing the excitement she felt knowing he had said yes to spending time with her today. She walked close to him as they made their way down the street, stealing glances at him every now and then while trying to keep herself composed.

When they finally arrived at the shop, Belle’s excitement bubbled over, and her smile grew impossibly bright.
"I am so excited, Jup!"
she exclaimed with genuine enthusiasm, giving his arm a little squeeze to emphasize just how thrilled she was. Her energy was contagious; it was clear that this moment meant a lot to her. She turned to look at him with a playful glint in her eye and teased him again, giggling softly.
"I bet mine comes out better than yours,"
she said with a laugh that danced in the air between them.

Belle’s teasing wasn’t mean-spirited—it was lighthearted and filled with affection. She felt comfortable around Jupiter in a way she hadn’t felt with anyone else other than Wren in a long time. As they stepped inside the shop together, she couldn’t help but wonder if he felt the same spark that had been ignited within her ever since their reunion in his lodge room.

Most people brushed off Harriet's like of classic Greek mythology as just another one of her many nerdy interests. But Jo seemed like she was truly, genuinely interested in it. It was a refreshing change of pace from the same old distaste and dismissal that she typically got when bringing mythology up. She let out a chuckle at Jo's question. "No, no, I don't know all of the stories. There's probably over a thousand stories out there, maybe even more. But the more mainstream ones...those are what I know and love." Harriet's expression had brightened considerably since she had gotten here. Meeting Jo hadn't been so bad after all. Sketching out her interpretation of love, as seen in the fabled Persephone and Hades story, hadn't been so bad either. Harriet wasn't an artist, by any means, but at least she was finally starting to have a little fun.

It had been a long time since she had actually had a good time. Wallowing in self-pity for so long had done seemingly irreparable damage to her self-confidence. Isolating herself following everything that had gone down also didn't help matters. But right now, she actually felt like herself again. While Harriet couldn't forget the loss of her father, she also couldn't stay stuck in her memories. She had to move forward - and while she knew that she had to before today, she also felt as if today was the first day that she truly was moving on.

Harriet couldn't help but peer over at Jo's own artwork in process. It looked way better than her project. She felt so nosy for asking, but she felt like she had to. "Are you an artist?" She turned back to her own work, where she continued outlining a scene with half springtime and wintertime. Persephone and Hades met in the middle. Was it worthy of being in a gallery? Definitely not. But she was enjoying herself, and that was all that mattered. "What do you do for a living? I work in the archives."

While Dom, Lizzie, and Ellie were merely Mel's younger siblings, she felt as if they were her own children. It was selfish of her, she knew, and she hated herself for thinking it. Her parents would be so mad if they knew. But they weren't here to know. If they were, Mel would be somewhere else, doing something else. Life hadn't worked out the way that she had hoped it would. She just had to roll with the punches. And besides, she needed to be strong - it wasn't just her that had lost her parents. She had the three kids to think about as well. Poor Ellie was only two when the crash happened. She had barely gotten to know the wonderful people that had raised her. At least Dom and Lizzie had better memories of them.

And Mel made sure that none of them ever forgot Terry and Nancy. She retold stories about her own childhood, brought them by their gravesites, and showed them old home movies on the regular. While their physical presence was gone, their spirits would live on through Mel.

But it wasn't time to dwell on the tragic past. No, she had some time to herself, and she was going to make the most of it with her new companion. She couldn't help but let out a soft laugh at his mock offense. If this was love at first sight...would she be that lucky? "Fine, you've convinced me. You're the best company a girl could ever have." Her words poked fun at him, but there was also a grain of truth within them. She chose to be trustful of this stranger, who revealed his name to be...Romeo? Was this fate? Would she be his Juliet? Or was she just a hopeless romantic?

"Your lead potion maker's called Mel - short for Melanie, but I don't really care for my full name. I guess I've always kind of been a tomboy in that regard." She shrugged, reaching for the first ingredient on the list. "It's nice to meet you, Romeo. Pardon me for being nosy, but you're not from here, are you? I know just about everyone in Revelstoke, and you're an unfamiliar face. When did you get here?" Mel swirled the contents of the bottle around, studying the liquid inside.

The guide was creepy-looking. What the guide was saying was utterly spooky. Mikey was terrified. But he had to be brave for Wren's sake. He was supposed to be a total badass, after all. If he looked weak in front of Wren, that was it. It was officially Joever. So that couldn't happen. Mikey didn't want to lose his credibility, especially with him. Wren was sweet, and nice, and hunky too. He was so falling for him - it wasn't even funny.

The other thing that wasn't funny was this tour. Mikey had no idea that this town was so haunted. Why did the ghosts have to be here? They could choose to be anywhere else but here! Tokyo, Rome, Egypt...those were all really cool spots that the ghosts could inhabit. But no, they just had to haunt Revelstoke. This was a load of barnacles. Why did Mikey have to suffer with all the scary dead people? He never did anything to piss them off. So why did they choose to be here? They were ruining his chances with getting to smooch Wren later tonight if all went well - and if Wren wanted to smooch him back. Mikey was the number one proponent of consent, after all. And on today, the day of love, Mikey hoped that he could smooch someone too.

He nearly jumped when Wren reached for his hand. He was so wrapped up in the stupid ghosts. Damn them. "You think this is scary? Pfft, this is baby talk compared to real scary stuff." Mikey grinned, secretly relieved that he wasn't the only one scared shitless. And holding hands? The day of love was helping him out here. Thanks, Cupid :)) "How long do you think this thing's gonna last? We can totally bail if it scares you a lot. I don't want to put you through it if it's gonna be torture."

Tori knew that Lucian wasn't guaranteed to pick up the phone, especially if he didn't recognize the number - or if he did, probably send it straight to voicemail. She had no idea what she'd say if he actually answered. Maybe she should have called someone else. But it was too late now, it was ringing. And when she heard a clearly annoyed Lucian cursing, she knew that he had picked up. She took a deep breath, hesitating before she began to speak.

"Lucian...it's Tori. I know I'm the last person you want to hear from, especially from a jail cell, but...I did something bad. I don't know why I called you out of all of the people I could've, and I'm not asking you to bail me out or anything, but...I guess I just needed to hear your voice?" She sighed, looking down at the cold, concrete floor of the cell beneath her. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for everything I put you through. It's still early, but I'm probably going to be sent away for a few years, maybe more. I'm guilty, and I don't feel any remorse for what I did. I know I'm fucked in the head, you don't have to tell me that. It should be hitting the news waves any second now. Have a nice life, I guess..." And before she could say anything more, the cold, unforgiving sound of a click, followed by a dial tone, reached her ears.

Nobody would forgive her for what she had done, and she knew that. All she knew was that after she had done her time, she was getting the hell out of Dodge. Revelstoke didn't want her. Her family didn't want her. Maybe she'd start a new life under a new name. It could be nice to escape. Her future had already been decided for her as it was. And if Casper was dead, she most likely wouldn't be seeing the light of day for the rest of her life. She had royally fucked up this time.

This wasn't the reaction that she had hoped for. In fact, she hadn't hoped for a reaction at all, because she couldn't be pregnant. There was no way. It had to just be a coincidence. Not again. Clay had been through this before, apparently. It sank in all too well that she knew basically nothing about him - if he had kids, or if he had another scare with another girl in the past. She had been totally wrong about him. What if he had done this to other girls...knocked them up, then skipped town? And as she stood, alone, test results still up in the air, she knew that she had made the biggest mistake of her life. If she had just stayed true to her parents' vision for her, none of this would have happened. Sure, she still would have been miserable, but not as miserable as she was right now. If that test was positive, her ice skating career was done for. She couldn't bounce back from a pregnancy like she could a sprained ankle.

But there was still hope that it was a false alarm. She hadn't flipped it over yet, and when Clay returned, she knew that it was time to reveal the truth. With Clay by her side, she let him take the test from the counter. I'm not putting you back on the streets, Mol. At least she'd still have a place to live regardless of the results. It made her feel just a tad bit better. That feeling was quickly wiped away and replaced with a sinking one as she saw the eight letter word, clear as day, on the stick: Pregnant. She was pregnant. It was official. And four things were certain. Her career was over. Her parents were going to hate her even more than they already did. Mikey was going to kill Clay. Things were never going to be the same.

Of course, she didn't have to keep it. But that would cause even more shame, and she didn't want to disappoint everyone even more than they already were. Adoption was another option, but if she were to go through with this in the first place, why wouldn't she keep it? It was shaping up to be that Molly was going to have this baby, whether she liked it or not. Another baby. Clay did have another kid out there, then. She chose not to address it, instead turning to face him to speak. "I'm sorry, Clay. It should have been negative. I know you're probably mad. I am too. This wasn't supposed to happen."

SEBASTIAN HANSON
Seb cringed as the situation unfolded. Diana was pissed... Very pissed. And there was no question it was because of him. Instead of admitting his feelings, he had pulled away, and now he was paying for it. "Yeah… this is going about how I thought it would," he muttered, watching as she stepped back to let him in.

So, he obliged, awkwardly meandering inside. He let her tear into him, standing there in silence until she was finished. Then, without a word, he set the flowers down on the coffee table, his fingers lingering on their stems for a second longer than necessary. "I don't really know what I was thinking… Maybe I was hoping I could ignore what’s going on in my head?" he admitted, hesitantly sinking onto the couch. He wasn’t sure if he should sit, but at this point, it didn’t matter. If they were going to argue, talk, or even pretend this wasn’t happening, so be it. Screw the date.

"I'm not good with people," he told her, though they both knew that already. "I've never felt romantic feelings... for anyone. But then you came along, like this whirlwind in my life, and suddenly I didn’t mind having someone around." He let out a sharp breath, his fingers anxiously tapping against his knee. He hated admitting all of this, but it had to be said. He couldn’t keep pretending she didn’t exist, that this wasn’t real. "It scared me," he finally confessed, lifting his gaze to meet hers, hoping and praying she wouldn’t just chew up his words and spit them out. If she did, he wasn’t sure he’d ever leave his studio again.
