"If this is how it'll be... I thought you cared about me, but I guess I was wrong... Pity for how stupid and childish I was, perhaps...? Heck, maybe pity's the only reason Thomas let me stay with him all those years ago..." Sayuri walked outside, pushing Marius out of her way as she stormed off to her trailer. Entering and slamming her trailer's door closed, she curled up in the corner furthest from the door. It was rather dark in her trailer, though as much was to be expected of a trailer that'd yet to be used aside from last night for Sayuri to change her appearance.

Nora


Nora looked at Marius, nodding at his comment. She didn't look at Sayuri, her words hit Nora like a bag of bricks. She had to keep her mouth shut, saying a rebuttal would only anger Sayuri more. It was times like this, she wished Thomas was around and aware. He could comfort the young performer. Nora was only doing this to protect Sayuri. Seeing her get hurt, would tear at Nora emotionally. She waited for everyone to depart before looking at Sisceal.


"You meddled with my family and you mean harm. You think the dragon would so willingly let a threat enter her den? No, oh no I fully intend to keep you away from here. My family is all I have, I don't need people like you coming in here and messing with them."


She took a deep drag of the pipe, blowing the green smoke in his face. She was going to keep this up, till the poor man blacked out.


"Your not as stupid as I thought. Although you may be still. I will determine that judgment at a latter date."

Mr. Bones/Thomas?


Mr. Bones missed his pipe, this was visible by his mimicking action of smoking a pipe. When he heard what Sayuri said it was like a switch went off, something within his bones stirred, an old member came through and he had to do something.


"Sayuri..."


It was a whisper, in a heavy French accent. Like there was no tomorrow Bones followed Sayuri. Once he reached her trailer he gently knocked, although he did block the door so she could not open it. To have his Sayuri see in him in such a state would break his heart. With the French accent in tact and truly sounding like the old ringmaster Bones spoke to her.


"Sayuri dear, I know Nora seemed mad at you but I assure you she is not. I put her in charge for a reason, she cares about all of you so much. To see any of you hurt would kill her. Especially you, she considered you a sister even a daughter. I cant tell you how many times our conversations ended up being about you. She cares about you so much. What you said to her, well, she is most likely very upset that she hurt you, it was not her intention. She doesn't handle threats to her family well. So I ask my dear little Sayuri, don't do anything rash because of Nora's action. She only wants to protect you. And she will do it any way she can. Even if means dishing out tough love, its why I knew the cirque would be safe with her."


As quick as bones reached her trailer he left. wandering around the trailers till his pipe was returned to him..

"But I...I hardly know what I did...." He wheezed as more smoke was blown in his face. This time his whole body began to succumb to the feeling of being submerged in water. He was losing his grip on what was real and what wasn't. Colors and shadows shifted and swirled around him and regular objects took on monstrous shapes."N-n-no...get back...foul, *wheeze*, beast." He tried to hold his rosary out in front of himself, but moving that hand only made him lose his balance and fall back onto the floor of the trailer with a thud. "stop..." His eyes began to glaze over and his eyelids became heavy as the blackness crept from the corners of his eyes. As nothing more than a mere human he was no match against the effects of this smoke.

Sayuri could recognize the voice, but she could barely hear the words behind them. "Thomas..." She mumbled to herself in utter surprise and confusion. "Like I could trust that voice right now..." She said to herself, slamming her fist angrily into the wall of her trailer. "Dammit...! Of all things, you had to be the one to be at my trailer door...! I don't know what to think anymore..." Tears ran down the girl's face, uncertainty leading her to one conclusion. "If they truly care for me, then... I'll be expecting a warm welcome home, Nora..." Standing up, she moved near the center of the trailer to prepare herself for something she knew she'd probably regret doing.


Sayuri wiped her eyes of their tears, snapping to release energy from her fingers. "Goodbye memory... Goodbye, cheese." The inside of Sayuri's trailer lit up suddenly, an explosion occurring in front of Sayuri. The flash of light was gone in just a second, though even without seeing it, one would still be able to hear the explosion if they weren't inside of a trailer themselves. There wasn't too much damage to the trailer, though Sayuri was unconscious and back to being a child, thrown back to the wall and a little singed by her own explosion. I do hope the end result is a happy one... Half a year... It seems a bit much knowing them, but I'll give half a year... Until then, my memories will stay completely sealed by myself...

"Everything is better when I am with you." Daphne's smile brightened as Abigor wrapped his hand around her own.


"You make me complete unlike any other my sweet Abigor. I love yo-" Daphne was about to finish her sentence when she suddenly looked towards her trailer window and saw a flash of light from another trailer. "Nà shì shénme? (What is that)" Daphne immediately sat up from lying down and tried to get a glimpse of whose trailer the light came from.

Nora laughed at Sisceal when he went for his rosary.


"You think those things hurt? Maybe for a lesser."


She grabbed the holy beads as a slight smoke raised from her hand. She tossed them aside like it was nothing.


"Such a foolish man.....'


She watched as he lost the battle with the smoke, and laughing at the ordeal. Once he was good and blacked out she slung him over her shoulder. She had to dump him somewhere, somewhere where it would seem like he passed out. It dawned on her.


"The road! yes!"


She left Paul's trailer, tossing Bones's pipe at him, who was grateful for having it back. She toted the man to the road on the other side of the forest. Putting the poor man in a ditch. She started walking back to the cirque, looking for Paul on the way.

The last thing that poor man saw before passing out was this demon tossing aside his holy beads like they were absolutely nothing. He was completely powerless here and was certainly suffering for it too...he should not have messed with these performers. Just ignored orders and gone home as usual, but no...and now he laid unconscious in a ditch. Hopefully someone would find him soon...


"Huh!?" Marius's keen ears instantly picked up on the explosion. Didn't that come from Sayuri's trailer?! He had to find out and fast. Shutting his eyes he picked up on the aura around him so he could run through the mess to find her. Or at least quick walk, he was still uneasy on his feet and all of the light blue outlines were wobbly. "Sayuri!! I heard an explosion! Are you okay?" He called out as he reached the trailer.

"What is the matter dear?" He asked concerned at her suddenly stopping mid sentence to sit up. He had been facing the other direction, so didn't see the flash of light from the trailer. "Did you see something?" He shifted so he could sit up with her and try to catch a glimpse of whatever it was.

SayuriSayuri was coughing a little, choking on the leftover smoke from the explosion. As Marius called out though, she didn't respond at all. Sayuri was pretty much out from the explosion, physically and mentally. Her eyes were temporarily shot from the flash, her mind unable to focus because of the noise it left in her ears, and her body unable to move because of having crashed into the wall, alongside a few burns here and there. Slipping completely unconscious, her memories slowly floated away from her until they were almost completely gone.

KanameKaname's eyes opened wide. She could feel the sudden flash of energy, even if it was just a second. "W-what was that...?" Kaname wondered, standing up and focusing heavily on her ability to sense everything around her. "I'm a little worried... Somebody might be hurt..." Kaname said just before taking notice of Marius next to the area where the energy had come from. Kaname shifted herself over beside Marius, seeming to float a few inches above the ground for a second before gently landing on her feet. "D-did something happen...?"

Kiyoko"Dammit, where the hell's that bastard at? I swear if he's messing around again...!" Kiyoko said angrily, pacing back and forth impatiently. "It's because of idiots like him I went the private investigator route, so I didn't have to deal with waiting on idiots to finish with their screw-ups... Not to mention I've got a bit more... freedom on how I do things when working alone..." Extremely angry, Kiyoko slammed her fist against the nearest stable structure that wouldn't move or get damaged.

Sammy looked at Kiyoko then at the nearest clock.


"Well, he tardy, but I did tell him to go to a bar."


She wondered what goodies he had. Spending an evening with drunk cirque members surely had turned up some good info.


"Come on Kiyoko, I'm sure he is right around the corner."


She was bout to say for when the phone rang. She picked it up and learned exactly Sisceal was.


"Ohh, well, I will come get him."


She hung up the phone and looked at Sayuri.


"Well, Sisceal is passed out...in a ditch..."


She stood up grabbing her car keys.


"Come, lets go get him."

Nora


Nora found Paul wandering around. After a heated debate about love and such she returned to the cirque. As she entered the grounds she saw people going towards the trailer assigned to Sayuri that the young performer never used.


"Huh, wonder what's going on?"


She hurried her pace hoping it was just a little show that was going on. As she approached the trailer her concern grew as she quickened her pace to a run, shoving people As she reached the trailer and opened the door she cried out.


"SAYURI?!"


She saw the young performer unconscious and hurt inside. She rushed to Sayuri's side. Panic spread across her face at she seemed at loss for words.


"Say....Say.....Sayuri????"


She gently placed a hand on the girl, tears streaming down her face.


"Sayuri? Are...."


She brushed Sayuri's hair, at loss for words.

"I think Sayuri is hurt, but I can't tell....I can't see details like that through auras, but from what I can see she isn't moving much." Worried filled his voice. It was at times like these he cursed his disability. He couldn't help unless he was told what was wrong.


"Nora, what's happened to Sayuri? Do you need me to fetch Paul or Fiona? Or anything?"

Daphne looked at Abigor when she saw him sit up as well. "I could've sworn I saw a flash of light coming from another trailer."


Daphne turned back t0 the window when she noticed more cirque members gathering in a certain area. As if concern hadn't already been building up inside Daphne, seeing Nora run and breakthrough definitely brought worry forth. At the same moment she saw Nora, something in Daphne's brain clicked on what the situation was.


"It's Sayuri... something must've happened at her trailer," Daphne said in a panicked voice and stood.


"I should go check and see if everything is alright. I mean it probably is... I'm sure of it."


Yet however much she tried to convince herself, fear still plastered Daphne's face as she reached for her trailer door.

"One of your family members I assume?" Abigor looked at her questioningly. "If so then let's not hesitate to go check on them. I hate to have to meet them in this way, but do what you must." He reached out and pushed the door open for her. It was then he caught sight of someone else who he recognized almost instantly. 'Well well well....so this is where you ran off to.' He thought to himself with a sly smirk.

Nora


Nora carefully cradled the unconscious Sayuri in her arms. Tears streaming down her face, she didn't want any of this to be true. She was wanting this all to be a prank and everyone to say 'Got you Nora!'. But this wasn't a prank and Nora was accepting that. She shook her head as she pulled Sayuri closer to her.


"Say....Say...."


She couldn't even speak, not even say Sayuri's name. It would be weird, to everyone, to see Nora like this. She was always happy or trying to get in your pants, or mad. Never so emotionally upset she cannot speak. That only ever happened once, when she was set to marry another demon through an arrangement. The other demon called her some less than favorable things, and refused to be with her. It was the reason she had such a string of lovers, she felt unstoppable. With her eyes bloodshot from crying she looked up at Daphne who was in the doorway.


"....help......"


She was barely able to get that word out. She broke out into another fit of wailing and crying. She didn't take the fact that Sayuri was hurt well, it was why she was so protective of her cirque family. She knew she wouldn't be able to handle seeing them hurt.

Sayuri

Sayuri began coughing suddenly, though lightly as she was simply waking up. Her eyes opened slowly, the coughing slowly coming to an end. "H-huh...? W-where...?" Sayuri mumbled, her vision blurry from the flash and her unable to hear much because of a painful ringing left by the noise of the explosion. Sayuri attempted to sit up, but her injured body wouldn't let her move very much at all, and what she could do hurt a lot. "W-what's going on...?" Sayuri shakily asked. "I-it hurts..." She said, starting to cry lightly from the fear of the pain.

"Alright I get to kick his ass when we get him back here..." Kiyoko responded, spinning a gun around her finger as though about to shoot, but the safety was on. It was definitely a miracle that she managed to become a private investigator and get permitted to help the police on this case with how violent and trigger-happy of a woman she was. On top of that, she was only nineteen, making her younger than your average investigative personnel. "Ah, just so you can stop me from getting myself in jail, I might shoot him if you don't stop me, should I get pissed enough to pull it out. Do stop me before I pull the trigger should it happen."

Daphne froze at the sight of the scene before her. Nora was a complete mess, Sayuri's small body was had burns and other wounds galore from what Daphne could see, and Marius was in a skirt and bra. Daphne shook her head as she took a double take at Marius, but quickly let her confusion go. Without a second thought, Daphne looked to Abigor and beckoned him to come with her back inside her trailer, ignoring whoever he had spoken to. Daphne then opened many of her cabinets, her laser focused eyes and quick hands grabbing all sorts of herbs that she placed in some baskets along with more modern-day first aid supplies.


"Abigor dear, will you please help me carry these?" daphne wavered her hand around the baskets, "I don't want any supplies left behind and I am going to need to work immediately."


Without waiting for a response from Abigor, Daphne grabbed two of her baskets and ran back over to Sayuri's trailer. Once there Daphne knelt down placing the baskets next to herself and put a hand on Nora's shoulder.


"Nora I hate to say this, but I need you to let go of Sayuri so I can help her."


Daphne then looked at Marius who also taking up to much space for Daphne to work.


"Marius could you please take Nora outside for me? I think she needs to calm down a bit."

Abigor did not hesitate to take the baskets and follow Daphne. She was very concerned about the situation so he did not question what she told him one bit. That and he felt like saying hello to the old friend he recognized.





As soon as Daphne arrived Marius stepped out of the way. He was not of much help here at all... just another worried cirque member in the way. He did, however, respond to Daphne. "Oh, of course." He placed a gentle hand on Nora's shoulder. "Nora, come on. We better get out of the way so--"


"My my. That's quite the new look for you boy. But I suppose it isn't too far a stretch from what you generally wore years ago now is it?" Abigor interrupted him with a cheerful tone. He had yet to recognize who else was in the trailer as he was more distracted with the genuine look of shock in the blind vampire's eyes.


"Y....y" Words escaped Marius entirely and his grip on Nora's shoulder tightened more.


"By the way. How are the wife and kids? Or do you even know anymore?" A devilish smirk spread across his face as he watched his little vampire completely freeze up and take on a glowing shade of red. Out of anger or embarrassment, he didn't care, to him it was amusing.

Nora hugged Sayuri a bit tighter as the young performer stirred. It made Nora a bit happy but, she was still a wreak. When Daphne told her to let go of Sayuri she shook her head. It was like she was a distraught mother and Sayuri was child. It was exactly like that in Nora's head.


".....no....no....."


Even when Marius came up to her she still refused. It was one of her down falls, she was as stubborn as a mule.


"...no..."


It was a voice though that finally snapped her back to reality, a voice she was not happy to hear. It was her ex-fiancé Abigor. Well he was never technically her fiancé, they were arranged to married. But, he instead left her with a ruined reputation. When he said that Marius was married and had kids she carefully set Sayuri down. She had rules and limits when it came to her lovers. She never had ones that were married or had kids. It was the one slice of dignity she had. She glared at Marius and slapped him.


"I don't date married people"


She stood and glared at Abigor, he would most likely not recognize her since she looked and sounded different in her human form. She slapped him too, harder than she did Marius.


"You know what you did...Abigor..."


She left to her trailer, she wanted to be away from others, well except one. She waved at the wandering skeleton.


"Mr. Bones! Come join me for a while, I need to discuss riddles and such."


What she really wanted was the feeling of being the same room as Thomas again. She missed him, especially in times like this. She and skeleton disappeared into her trailer.

Sammy rolled her eyes at Kiyoko, the young gun still had a lot to learn.


"Well, lets just get there and pray we don't have to take him to the hospital and, that he is not too messed up from it."


She walked out to her car and waited for Kiyoko to join her. Once that happened she drove off to where Sisceal was. Once they reached the place she got out and looked at the passed out, half naked man in the ditch.


"Oh god, what did I sign up for?"

Marius was snapped out of his frozen state by that slap, which only made Abigor smile even wider. He could tell that the boy wanted to hit him, but couldn't. Not with that mark on his chest burning, oooh no. The poor thing couldn't lash out at his master like that and that only enraged him more. All he could do was bite his tongue and storm out of the trailer right after Nora and straight back to his trailer without a word. Definitely odd behavior for the usually vocal vampire....he never just ran away from a situation like that.


Thankfully Nora took care of the attacking the large demon before she left. The slap he got shut him up real quick and he was left holding his cheek in confusion. What did he do to her? He didn't even recognize that woman.... "What was that all about?...how did she know my name?" He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but she seemed very familiar.

Sisceal didn't make any movements at all as he laid in the ditch. That smoke had made him black out completely and unable to move a muscle. No shivering or shifting to try and get comfortable...even his breathing was shallow. What was also odd was that his eyes weren't completely closed...rather. Cracked open just enough to see a sliver of that deep red color they held and the extreme dilation of his pupils as he stared off to God knows where..

SayuriAt this point, Sayuri was completely confused by what was happening. Just moments ago she was being hugged tightly by somebody she didn't even recognize, and several other strange people were around her. The girl was quite confused and scared by the people around and near her that she didn't know, though there wasn't much she could do with her burns. "G-go away..." Sayuri said silently, too confused to speak loud enough to be heard. It was pretty much like Sayuri was back to where she was before meeting Thomas, back when she was afraid of the world that hated her and cast her aside.

KanameKaname, as soon as a person named Abigor started talking with Marius, decided that she didn't belong as part of the group at the moment. Clearly there were several issues going on, so she just shifted herself elsewhere. To be more specific, she teleported over to the cirque entrance and started walking out. Every time she could, she would teleport again to get around faster. Of course, she would stop teleporting once she could tell there were people somewhere nearby that might notice her change in location.


Kiyoko"Clearly, we signed up for a job working alongside a drunken priest..." She walked over to him and checked his vitals. "He's alive..." She said to herself. "Well, it was a good life." Kiyoko said, referring to how she'd suffer "divine punishment" after kicking a priest like she was about to do. "One, two, GET UP!" Kiyoko shouted after standing up, kicking the man as hard on the ass as she could without any actual preparation to kick. She waited for a moment to see if the man would wake up or not, though given her violent nature and strength, that kick would've been enough to bring back memories to somebody with amnesia.

Kiyoko would have had more luck kicking a log. Sisceal didn't budge an inch or even flinch...just....let out a choked up, wheezy moan... His face as expressionless as a mannequin. At least he was alive! That was something....but whatever happened back at the cirque had sure done a number on him. Hopefully with a little more coaxing he would come to soon.

Kora was just walking up after their little, "night excursion" a while before that. She was to drunk to remember most of it, but she remembered almost having Nora in her grasps. Yawning, the large shape shifter slowly pulled her half clothed body off the ground, attempting to do so without falling over at the same time. Her head was pounding, and she thought she could hear yelling from somewhere off in the distance. "Nora?" She grumbled, rubbing her eyes as she started making her way towards the noise, only to see a furious Nora pass by her and into the trailer. Suddenly, Kora became worried for her dear friend, well, really good friend and she walked up to her trailer door, knocking on it. "Nora, are you alright?" She asked softly.

Not long after storming back to his trailer, Marius was lost to the world. He'd stripped out of the skirt and bra and put on something....looser. Then took out a pipe he had hidden away for years and lit it. Letting the powerful drug flow into his system with every breath. He knew long ago that he should have tossed it, never even looked at it again, but could never bring himself to doing so...not with HIM constantly at his back and showing up at every turn....

Daphne hated to see the condition that Nora was in as she left the trailer. At the same time Daphne was slightly ticked at Nora for slapping Abigor. If Sayuri wasn't laying on the floor in need, Daphne would've gone straight to Nora and given Nora a piece of her mind. Yet Daphne's instinct won that battle.


Daphne looked down at Sayuri as she horsely spoke. "Sayuri it's just me Daphne. I am just going to fix you up and then you can rest in a much cleaner trailer then the one we are in."


As she continued to talk to Sayuri in the calmest voice she could, Daphne took an assortment of herbs and placed them into a bowl. Daphne then crushed the herbs until they became a sticky pulp. Next Daphne spread the pulp onto enough aloe Vera leaves to cover all of Sayuri's wounds.


"Okay Sayuri this might feel a little weird but it will help you feel better," said Daphne while she covered Sayuri's wounds and burns with the pulp covered aloe leaves.


Reaching back into one of the baskets, Daphne pulled out a small bag and shook out a few seeds from it. Taking Sayuri's hand Daphne poured the seeds into Sayuri's palm and gently smiled at her.


"Okay Sweetie I need you to eat these for me so what I am about to do net doesn't hurt too much, okay?"

In the back of slick black Packard 180, what was supposedly a woman sat applying an deep red lipstick. In the woman's lap was a recently polished glock 1911 hand gun, which she calmly placed back into its holster underneath her bright red dress after she was done admiring herself in a small mirror.


"Madam we shall be arriving at the human's police head quarters momentarily," Said a trench-coated figure in the front of the car.


The woman laughed, "Ah, such a formal tone you use for such a petty place grunt. I would've thought that if anyone would be hissing out the word human it would be you."


"Thank you for the compliment madam but policy states that I must be respectful towards any place, even if it one of the human's dwellings."


"Policy, policy, policy," The woman mocked, "If I gave a hoot about policy like you do grunt, do you really think I would've put up an argument about having to act as one of the human's helpers on this mission?"


"Well...no madam."


The woman laughed once again as the car finally slowed to a stop in front of the investigator's HQ. "Looks like it's showtime," The woman said as she stepped out of the car and slammed the door behind her. "Thanks again for the ride grunt."


As the car pulled away, the woman entered the HQ and checked in at the front desk by showing them her interpol badge and letter. She was then escorted to workspace of what her escort said was the lead investigators chair. Once the escort left, the woman smiled and sat in the desk chair of the lead, kicking her feet onto the desk like it was nobody's business.

Sayuri was uncertain what to do. Her eyes were filled with a bit of fear, confusion, and possibly a drop of happiness. The current Sayuri was the one who knew nothing but loneliness and poor treatment. This was the Sayuri that'd seen a good hundred years, but didn't know she was anything unusual or abnormal. When Daphne placed the seeds in Sayuri's hand, that's when she'd finally finished piecing together the loose memories. She'd been in situations that were similar but were actually bad instead of good like the current, which lead her to swing her arm in and lightly toss the seeds, at the same time sprinting right past Daphne and out the door.


Sayuri ran right by anybody that may have been in her way, not just stopping once past any people nearby though. Sayuri kept running, right through the entirety of the cirque and into the forest when past the small tent. She made it into the forest, though not too far in due to her injuries finally stopping her. Lacking the adrenaline she previously had, she went from running to barely walking over the course of a few seconds. Using the trees as support, she made her way near the center of the forest, collapsing there from a lack of energy, topped with the pain of the burns. Tears began to form in her eyes, her barely curling up and beginning to cry from that lonely feeling she was once used to.

Nora and Mr.Bones sat in her trailer smoking whatever it was the crazed skeleton kept in his pipe. Nora just looked at the skeleton with sad eyes. what she was hoping for was a conversation with Thomas but, Thomas went away when Mr. Bones came in existence, or so she thought. She took a drag of his pipe before handing it back to the bone man.


"Abigor, the man has some nerve coming here to my home. That rat bastard ruined my reputation over a stupid arranged marriage! he could have said no, he was the man. The man can always say no! But, noooo he had to go and fuck with my life! And then Marius, dear dear Marius. Wife and kids?! God! Why must every man in my life be such a bastard, you were the only good one and your well.....a skeleton who talks nonsense now."


She was still in Marius's boxers and shirt, she hadn't cared to change. She plopped down on her bed and hugged a pillow.


"I guess I'm doomed to be plagued by bad lovers and men....."


She heard Kora knocking on her door, she didn't care to stir from her bed.


"Come in!!!"


She sat up and looked at the skeleton who was just sitting on her couch smoking his pipe, green smoke filled her trailer.

Paul followed Sayuri to the forest, when the young performer collapsed he walked up to her. He remembered the story Thomas told about her, and how he found her. Putting on a nice persona he approached the young performer.


"My dear, what happened to you?"


He didn't get too close and crouched down, taking his top hat off, he looked at her with kind eyes.


"Now, I cannot stand for such a lovely young lady like you to be left out here suffering in a forest. You see, I run a little circus here, full of strange beings."


He was trying his best to act like Thomas, he had no idea her memories were wiped but, he knew something was up. Sayuri never acted like this, and it made him think something was up.


"And I have one who is excellent at tending to wounds. If you would like, I could have her tend to your wounds."


He talked to her as if she was a stranger to him, he was hoping Sayuri would do what she and Nora did, poke fun of him.

Sammy looked at Sisceal who didn't really move when Kiyoko kicked him.


"Well, it looks like we are going to the hospital."


She walked to her car and radioed in to the police HQ.


"I need an ambulance for a man who is passed out and not responsive in a ditch. Yes. Pine street."


She walked back over to Kiyoko.


"Well, when he wakes up, he has a lot of explain to do."
