Maddie stopped at the door waiting for Barak to catch up.


"I can't enter without permission even as a cabin head."

Jessie walked out of the kitchen with a plate and some left overs she sat at the abandoned Iris table and began to eat.

Barak nodded. "Well I can invite you in Maddie." Barak opened the door and let her in.

Maddie ran straight for Levinia's bed to check on her.


"Levinia are you alright?" She went to move the sheets away from the girl but found that she couldn't.


"Levinia please, I need to see for myself your not hurt."

Elsa sighed and stretches her long toned arms as she yawned. It had been a while since she had been so utterly put out by the events outside of camp. At least within the borders she was used to petty fights and drama. Not back home. With a yawn, the blonde girl headed across the border and back to camp. But from by the looks of it the few short months she had taken a break, new campers and new issues had arisen. From the looks up it she needed to be filled in. So the blonde girl headed in the direction of the big house to find Chiron. IN a few short moments she had reached the door. Reaching out with a manicured hand she opened the door and headed inside.

Levinia looked up at Barak and Maddie. "I'm..." She looked over at Barak and tears firmed in her eyes. "Barak its back. The shadow. It won't leave me alone." She looked down closing her eyes as tears fell onto her blanket.


Barak sat on the bed and hugged Levinia. "I know. And I'm going to fix this problem, ok? I just need some time, then I'll figure out what it wants." He hugged and rubbed his hand on Levinia's back as he looked up at Maddie with a face saying: thank you.

Cade turned around and noticed the girl entering the camp. Cade's golden eyes went wide as she started to twirl her silver hair. She stops before the girl notices. "Hello. Do you need something" Cade smiles.

Elsa smiles at the silver haired girl. "Umm, Sort of. Have you seen Chiron? I was hoping to talk to him but it seems he isn't here" She says, shining eyes scanning the room. "My names Elsabeth but you can call me Elsa" She says extending her hand.

Jessie finished eating and quickly cleaned up her dishes. On her way out of the Big House she quickly waved at the two girls sitting at the table. One of them was Cade and the other one she didn't know, but she would introduce herself tomorrow. "Have a good night you two!" She cheerfully exclaimed to both girls, before she left the building. She meandered her way to her cabin where the lights were out. Most of her half-siblings were asleep but some had flashlights going and notebooks or novels out. Jessie climbed up onto her bunk and pulled out a flashlight before continuing off on the book she had been reading earlier.

Elsa smiles at the silver haired girl. "Umm, Sort of. Have you seen Chiron? I was hoping to talk to him but it seems he isn't here" She says, shining eyes scanning the room. "My names Elsabeth but you can call me Elsa" She says extending her hand.

Barak whispered something in Levinia's ear and she calmed down. She laid her head down and closed her eyes. A minute later Levinia was fast asleep. Barak got up and smiled at her. "She looks young when she's asleep. Almost like she's a little girl again." Barak looked at Maddie and grabbed her arm. He led her to his side of the cabin and said in a hushed voice, "Teresa and me have a plan. We will leave Levinia alone and hide in here. When the shadow comes, Teresa will hold the shadow hear while I found out who it is and what it wants." Barak was getting out his notebook as he continued to speak, "If you could help that would be great. We need as much help as we can get." Barak flipped open his notebook and pointed at a drawing of a dark figure with small wings. "That's what the shadow looks like."

"That's the monster that killed our mom."


Maddie said her eyes wide in fear.


"Why is that thing going after Levinia?" She began shaking, fearing for her friend.


"P-please don't show Draco that picture."

As soon as Levinia fell asleep she dreamt a horrible dream. She dreamt that first day she found out she was the child of Zeus. She was running in the halls. But no doors were unlocked. Soon she ran into a dead end. When she turned the monster that attacked her when she was 11 wasn't there, in it's place was the shadow. Behind the shadow stood a woman wearing a tattered black robe. "Who are you?" Levinia yelled. The woman waved her hand and the shadow attacked. Then Levinia woke up.

"It won't let Levi get hurt...I've lost everyone but Draco and you two."

"Thanks." Barak said. He looked down at Maddie's face and smiled. "Want me to walk you to your cabin? I don't want you to get hurt on the first night of summer camp."

"Barak about what you said at the lake....did you really mean it?"

Barak opened the door and led Maddie out. He smiled at her. "Of course I did. Why would I tell you that if I didn't even mean it?" Barak looked up at the moon and smiled. "I think this is gonna be a good summer. Us four are gonna have a great time." He picked up Maddie and put her on his back with her arms around his neck. He ran over to the Apollo cabin and let her down. "So I guess I'll see you tomorrow morning." He smiled at her.

"Thanks Barak." Maddie said before placing a kiss on his lips.

Elsa smile remains on her face but her eyes lose some of her shine. "My old partner for those games.... isn't around much anymore." Elsabeths friend, Serena had left to visit with family and go to school. It was easier for her since she was a daughter of a lesser god. One who is rarely mentioned in books.

Elsas eyes brighten again. "You do? Do you think that they would mind partering up with me?" She says hopefully though most leople wouldn't turn down the opportunity to partner with her. It wasn't like she could help it though. "I mean, I may be a bit rusty..." She says.
