I've been debating that. Likely there would be a remedy against the immediate symptoms that one of our healers would carry, as to the dark magic effects, I was thinking of having something that we'd have to quest to learn to cure. Your thoughts?

I dont have enough info on the effects to have any thoughts, but spooky long-term magic and cure-quests sound like fun. I'm studying medicines rn so I'll be glad to help with that if you need. Been planning on having Xaman'Ek get bitten. What kinds of effects are you thinking for short term? About how quickly do you want the venom to act?

Yes, but the only real way to get to the mouth is past the short-sword like venomous fangs with lightning reflexes. I dont recommend it unless you've got a long weapon like a pike or a spear. Xaman'Ek has a short spear, which isnt quite long enough to be safe so he's probably about to get bitten.

I was thinking about that because Zhihan is proficient in archery and has a long bow. Or at least one of her attendees will and she can just easily borrow it.

As long as you can pierce their thick hides and armoured thorax yes, their blood is acidic also.

Perhaps some sort of neurotoxin, symptoms, loss of balance, disorientation, massive pain at the bite wound. Death would take hours, give some time for the healers to administer the antidote for the physical toxin.

Eyes are a good bet. Those and the book lungs on the underside of the abdomen.

That could work but it would have to be very precise, the chelicerae would normally cover the mouth, and they're hard and chitinous, tipped with the fangs.

The fangs are embedded in the points of the chelicerae...I feel I should add a diagram but I don't want to freak people out ^^'
