You are right, there are many tribes, usually organized by species, but that doesn't need to be a solid rule.

I also like her artwork. Im excited for my character to meet both of yours, Dominaiscna Larke , He has never really left the desert before or seen other avians, so that should be fun :3 also where are we in this battle? Cause you all have been kicking some major spider ass for a good set of posts now, so whats the battlefield looking like before I jump in?

Okay I will attempt to make a summary of all that is currently going on with everyone’s locations.

If I got something wrong then ... do not hold your peace!

marshmarrow ‘s Skadhi was drinking and is currently slicing at the invading beasts.

Larke ‘s Luruke was jumping around and fighting beasts. Amidst the flames, he rescused a little raccoon boy and has now collapsed outside the tavern.

SilverFlight ‘s Ayi was pinned to the wall by a spider, but due to some arrow help, has gotten out of his sticky situation. He is currently concerned over the unnaturalness of the creatures.

Onikmey ‘s Xaman is amidst the fray, trying to bring some order to the chaos with his commands.

My Zhihan just joined and is trying to defend Xaman from an approching spider.

And Baconhands ’s Elena who has just joined the group at the tavern is in the making of a profit.

NB Spiders don’t like fire.

also a small group of polar bears are fighting in the commons. Xaman'Ek is holding one end of a narrow hallway with a lemur archer providing support and a tusked warrior holding the other end. spiders were coming in through the windows and doors but are starting to get pushed back. the building is starting to come down around everyone.

Practice. A lot. Use reference pics as often as possible. At least one drawing every day. Go outside your comfort zone. There are a million ways to paint, comb some tutorials and find what works best for you. I go dark to light and always paint in colour straight, some people find it easier to do a black and white verson of the piece and then edit the colours in using filters that don't mess with the lines already drawn. There are a bunch of open source art programs like medibang & Krita that do the exact same things as photoshop.
I use Sai pianter, it's about 40USD I think. That's only because I started on it. I am by no means a professional, most of the techniques to create clean, finished work I do not know. But everything I learned I learned from tutorials and examining the art of other people.

I have been trying to practice a lot and thankfully, my art teacher at school is very supportive in letting me use digital art for my art pracs. I've started doing a 365 sketching challenge (that started on my birthday) as well as InkTober (though falling slightly behind hehe...). Currently I am using Medibang because that is on my ipad but yeah I think for me the main thing I need to work on is drawing with references because I tend to try to draw from my head... but then sometimes it comes out whack. hehe..
