Looks pretty good to me. You can name the creatures along the lines of Xaman's own culture, but they'll likely have a different, canon name in the future. Writing npcs is fine, as long as they don't become permanent non-profiled characters, I feel it takes away from people developing their own characters, and it can get imbalanced for the other players.

Well if I were to draw on her soul which is the red crowned crane, one would imagine that she is poised and graceful. Then again the birds are quite territorial but she would've had to learn to push down aggression due to being a shrine maiden in the Moon Temple (it's a crane thing)

Well yah, I was thinking of making her flaw being pride considering that the cranes pretty much ruled their territory because they were bigger than most of the predators in their area (predators being wolves and smaller that is)

You could try picking a very general trope and building off of that. Like, she has something to live up to, or she has fallen from grace, or she is running from something, then you can expand on it more specifically and uniquely.

Yes indeed, though Ayi would have preceded them by at least a few seconds. There are also some warriors already in the tavern.
