Avatar: Tales of the Hundred Year War

Era gave a shrug, "Yeah, its alright with me. Safer the better." Era said before looking to Yao to give him a look that told he should behave. Aquita smiled, appreciating it. "Great."

"Good, welcome aboard." He said smilling at Aquita. He noticed Era him a look and looked back a "Who me?" look in response. He turned back Aquita."You are a water bender than?"

"I am normal as you can see by my naginata while Era is the bender. "Yao explained before smirking at Era."Long were the days, i suffered as she practiced her bending as colliteral damage now i wonder what i would do without it." He said trying to give her something to hate him further. "Still, i would be fun to see some water-bending"

Era only narrowed her eyes and elbowed him in the chest. "No one asked you to be my friend."

Aquita watched and gave a sad sigh at the arguing.

"Ouch... I was just teasing.Five years you are practicing earthbending, you would think i would have broken us of if it bothered me?"He said tried to remain at calm besides the blow to his chest." You think your bending is bending your only quality of as friend?

Era shook her head, of course she knew he didn't like her because she bent. "Alright, your right Yao. I'm sorry." She said pushing her hair back. Aquita watched, trying now not to smile. "You two don't fight long, I take it?" She asked which made Era chuckle. "No, we don't fight more than a few hours."

"We described as an old married couple more then once." He said chuckling at Aquita's comment knowing it was true. He finished his meal and waiting for the girls to do the same while making some small talk."... Think it is about time we went to our rooms. We have an early morning tomorrow."

The girls got done and nodded, "Yeah," Era said rubbing her eyes. Aquita stood, "Where you two camping?"

"Well, i was hopping to get a room here now that we have the chance. "He said getting done and walking towards the tavern keeper for a room."Take this chance of warm beds while we can, doubt there be many of that till we reach the city. One room or two?"

Era sighed, "One. We should savor our money." She said with a sigh, pushing her hair back and Aquita chuckled. "I have my campsite already made up, but meet here in the morning?"

"Ok... Sure tomorrow." Yao said a bit of disappointment evident in his tone at the mention of Aquita leaving. Still he went on to book a room and turned to Era. "There we are one room, they only had a double bed though. Come on" He began to walk to their room.

Era followed him, rolling her eyes hearing his disappointment. "Don't get excited, Yao. You may burst." She murmured.

"You're acting like a liondog pup around her, it's pretty annoying." Era pushed her hair back, "Come on, I'm tired."

"I am.. Heh, maybe I was."He said finding it more amusing then anything wrong." Never claimed I was the smoothest person with other girls..."he raised an eyebrow at her as a thought hit him." Or is it to whom I am being a pup that's the problem? Aww, Era..."

Era's face flushed red before she hauled off and hit his arm. "You should know better." She used her normal strength so it wasn't like it hurt him much. She pushed past him to their room and sat on the bed.

"If you say so." He said with a smirk before following her to their room and sat next to her." Well, that didn't make this arrangement awkward."

Era rolled her eyes and laid back. "No, your assumptions made it awkward. Any other time it wouldn't bother us to be sharing the same room." She said, draping an arm over her face. She wondered if it was bad that she felt the hay was more comfortable.

"Fine, consider you point made." He said a hint of disappointment in his voice finding her reply unusually grating. He exhaled before getting into his own bed and laying down trying to get some sleep.

Era looked up at him, she sighed. She pulled herself up to go sit next to him. "That's not the way I meant it, Yao." Could she admit she was jealous?

He sighed though he didnt move as he lay in bed facing away from her. He would be lying if he didnt think there could be more between them then best friend, he didnt like the fact she didnt think so either. However he didnt want to end what the had." Its fine.... I overreacted just... Just get some rest ok." He said finally turning to face her and forcing a smile." Its going to be a long day tomorrow."

Era shook her head, she knew him well enough to know when he was faking it. She stood, "I'm sorry, I have no reason to be...." her voice turned to a whisper, "jealous." She never lied to him before, she was starting now. She looked at her feet, not saying a word before she turned and went back to her bed.

"Like i said whatever. Good night." He said trying not to sound angry, he turned anyway and tried to get comfortable. He breathed a sigh relief when he heard her get into bed and pushed the conversation out of his mind as he fell asleep. The next morning he woke up early and tried to make Era do the same,"Come on, Era, Its long journey to Ba Sing Se! Also Aquita is waiting for us."

Era groaned, waking herself up. She sighed, "I'm up," She sat up before pulling herself out of bed. "I miss hay." She loved sleeping in the barn. She grew use to it.
