At the Adventurers' Table: Chapter Twenty

Heya friends and fellow gamers! Here's a blanket Sherwood update for you!

Sherwood will be in the hospital for about another 6-10 days, and he wants to assure you that - OH YES! - Sherwood WILL be back! Mark your calendars, people! The laser-chasing kitty knight we all know and love WILL be making his return!

Honor and fun,
Purr =)

Glad to hear it - all the best, Sherwood Sherwood , was thrilled to see your name around again just now!

Update time! Per Sherwood...

Well, here is another update on the Eternal Hospital Stay for poor Sherwood. I am feeling much better today, but the downside is that I have multiple leaks in my right side lung, keeping my chest tube in. If the docs pull it out now, the leaks would just have my lung collapse again and they would have to replace the chest tube. If there is not any progress, the next step is a much more invasive operation to open up my side and do a surgical repair of these leaks, leaving the chest tube in until I heal from the worst of the operation and can then start to look for a discharge date of about 5-7 days from then. I am sooooo done with this, having spent the past three weeks in the hospital.

Right? At least he's in good hands and he wasn't sent home too early. That would have been worse. Still, I'm glad Sherwood has online RPing - you can take that almost anywhere! 8D

Well, a bit of good news. I should be able to go home in about two to three days. It all depends on my chest tube when it comes out. If my lung starts to collapse, I get to leave with a take home tube to keep me breathing. If It stays inflated, I'm out of here in probably 2 days. I am so happy. I've been in the hospital for over 3 weeks so far, and this is going to be such a great change.

Sherwood Sherwood Woo! Watch out world!

Just take it easy on those lungs, won't you, Bud? I don't imagine you want to go back to the hospital so soon after leaving.

Sherwood Sherwood With any luck, my favorite Bud has been home since yesterday. Here's hoping!

I'm just... off... not knowing though. I think I've been a little off since he went in. But that's the price to pay when you care about someone, right? I'll pay it! =)

In the meantime, here's hoping each of you are taking good physical care of yourselves. Visiting a hospital because you want to is one thing, but because you need to? Well. That's another story, isn't it? =)

I'll probably be able to put my mind back on posting once I know Sherwood's all right. Happy Friday, Gang!

Honor and fun,
Purr =)

Hey gang. I'm still in the hospital, but should be going home on Monday. I was very depressed for a while when I wasn't able to go home on Thursday as I was expecting, but the doctors felt that it was safer to be cautious on my release instead of just letting me go with the very real possibility that I would have a collapsed lung and have to come right back to the ER. I thank everyone for your well-wishes, and I'm trying to get back on the posting ball here now that I'm in a better head space.

Unfortunate to not come home earlier, but better safe than sorry - the worst case is definitely worse than a few more days in good care. Still, I hope you get the best of both worlds ASAP - safety and home.

Posting this in all games I share with Sherwood.

Update on everyone's favorite pun-meister! If all goes well, Sherwood might be out of the hospital and home this Friday! Cross your fingers and keep sending good vibes his way, Gang! =)

On an unrelated note, I have just gotten the word that I'm getting discharged from the hospital! It has been something like 45 days that I've been locked up here, so I'm quite ready to go home. Now all I have to do is wait for the paperwork to get done to get me out.
Talk about super news! =)

Hey! We've taken one heck of a break here. So... testing for echo! What's everyone's status out there regarding Sharseya and Broadsword?

More importantly, how is everybody? Most of you I'm still gaming with, but not all. Hope you're having a good one, Gang!

Honor and fun,
Purr =)

I don't mind trying to continue.
Heya Jay! If enough agree, I'm willing to keep running both games, but... I clearly ought to work on going back to the basics - I bit off more than I could chew with the changes I laid out. I'd like to see what folks think about that - you included. =)

This is what I thought of when Cap'n wrote that (from The Breakfast Club). =)

Haven't really been active here for way too long - been busy with a few stressful, but mostly with other awesome things, and didn't get back into the regular posting schedule I need. Remembered to check in again today, though, so that's a start.

I'm slightly sceptical about getting back into both games, honestly - mostly because it's always damn hard to get back into those characters after a long absence. I'll give it some thought - though those two games are definitely worth the initial hassle when they're running smoothly. Just don't want to promise anything immediately when I might just end up staring at my screen without being able to reconnect to Ylva and Aldrin.

Heya good Sil! =) Silanon Silanon

This. I am blessed with the ability to keep my strongest characters in my head for years, decades even. So much of an impression have they made on me that I cannot forget them. But that is only true for a smaller number of my old favorites. If I don't play a character long enough, some of them, however dear, fade with time.

Concepts too. Allow me to be completely frank - I have lost much of my initial ideas concerning Traversing and The Blue World. I largely don't know exactly what Traversing is anymore. What I do know is in my writing and... trying to recall it is like trying to remember a dream that was dreamt long ago.

That's part of what I mean by going "back to the basics." I don't think I want to return entirely to Sharseya or Broadsword as we last saw them. I want both games to be a little simpler - changed even.

And I want serious feedback from anyone else who wishes to continue to - I need to know what makes each one of you enthusiastic to play. I don't require pages and pages - I just have to know what you think, how you feel. What I should care about and what we all agree might be dismissed. If that means some or all rolling up new characters and starting off from a more basic foundation, maybe even an earlier level, I'm all right with that.

I'll stop there lest I get ahead of myself again. But yeah. Some of the other GMs I've been hanging out with in other realms have a strong point - Players have to bring energy and enthusiasm too; it's not just the GM's role to bring that most-cherished of game-fires and dream-fuels. But I have to add this to their argument - I can't ask that out of any fellow gamer of mine unless they are playing a game they can honestly be energetic and enthusiastic about.

And to know that, I need to your feedback.

There is half a week left on this. Half our Gang has stopped by after being pinged. Do these games continue or do the four of us start off here on all-new adventures perhaps? Whatever the case, I am currently convinced my simplifying of both of these games is a must - I bit off more than I could chew.

As for the rest, time will tell! Hope you're all having good days and nights, Gang! =)

Honor and fun,
Purr =)
