Thought the one on the right was kinda cool but then I noticed the heels.

The one on the right has more practical armor and actually covers up everything instead of having gaps like the one on the left, and heels are just not okay to wear when your on a battlefield fighting for your life.

I agree, it looked like practical armor if the heel was replaced with some comfortable metal boots. Even the armor suit wasn't shaped to accentual figure either, but to defect in coming blows. Without the heels it would be very practical for any lady knights.

Do you mind putting in somewhere in the "overview" that we aren't accepting any more Targaryens/Blackfyres/Anything. We've already established a world, and we've already especially established House Targaryen.


We can't have any more, I feel.


I know it is a very popular house, but I don't think we can continue making exceptions.
 
So I just found out a longsword in ASOIAF is actually exclusively a one handed sword, unlike actual medieval longswords which were very similar to bastard swords, essentially the same weapon really. So since the longsword as I was picturing it doesn't exist in this universe I guess I'll have to say that Roland is currently using a bastard sword against Trevir.

Well medieval longswords as I know them are very similar in size and usage to a bastard sword, but because George wants to be a dick and make longswords one handed in his universe I had to switch to a bastard sword. Its essentially the same thing, just a tad bit heavier, longer and definitely better for getting through armor.

Not to mention you flip that bad boy around and you've got yourself a decent sized blunt weapon with good reach (as well as grabbing depending on the sword's guard).

I'm kinda in the same boat. I'm thinking up different things to do, so posting doesn't get repetitive. But it's like I'm in the Sahara of creativity.
