The Reach and Lannister war is one part in the bigger game with Viserys, Kuriva, Brandeon, and later a possible Daenna all vying for the throne. Even if we marry every side eventually someone will demand we chose what side were on and if we have sisters captive in every castle, that will be very hard

Eventually Dorne will have to pick a side or risk sitting out which could lead to another gangbang by the winner or losing members of house martell family in different invasions and assassinations of the very places we married them off to. Cayden see's and believes that very clearly, and losing a sister for good because they tried to play every side is possibly the last thing he wants. Even if it means sparring dorne war
