Personality: John's upbringing was unique to say the least. Being the eldest child of Cynthia he always felt as though he needed to prove himself as her equal, but despite his best efforts to show any sign of prodigious skill, his attempts were considered inferior to Cynthia's natural abilities. This has come to make him believe that he lives in the shadow of his mother's legacy. Of course that is not to say that John does not love his mother; which he does and whom he greatly respects. John's relationship to Cynthia also made it difficult for him to make any true friends during his childhood. This has left him a little socially awkward and now he finds it a bit difficult to converse with other people, especially with girls. It is because of these circumstances that John has developed a fake persona of a cocky, aloof, and headstrong individual. This is nothing more than a defense mechanism out of fear of drawing unwanted attention. In reality John is an individual who is kind under the surface and deeply cares for his friends and Pokémon. He is both steadfastly loyal and true to those he cares about and is driven to protect them, and would go as far as hiding his own pain and emotions as to not worry them. John is more than willing to come to the aid of anyone who should ask him for it. This side of him is greatly evident when he is around his younger sisters. John simultaneously denies his true self, yet strives to uphold his mother's legacy. Much like Cynthia, John is greatly interested in Pokémon mythology and is most conversant when discussing said topic.

Devola- Simply put Devola is the kind of person who would teach someone how to swim by pushing them into the water. Compared to her other siblings Devola is the most flippant, carefree, and outspoken. When meeting new people her manner of speech can come off as hostile and dismissive as she is unafraid to speak her mind. She often displays a dry wit and a sense of sarcasm. Despite her outward demeanor she really is a lot nicer and more caring than she lets on; in fact she is much more sociable and extroverted than her younger sister Popola, who she has a big sisterly disposition towards.
Popola- In contrast to Devola, Popola is outwardly shy, soft-spoken and eager to please. She is a composed and collected individual who, despite being a child of Cynthia, is modest and patient when meeting new people. Though she may be more reserved than her other siblings Popola still loves adventure and trying new things, craving one day to travel on her own. Coupled with Popola's adventurous nature is her stubbornness, with both Devola and John recognizing they cannot talk her out of something after she has made up her mind, regardless of how much danger she is putting herself in.
