Another point to consider is that the Lunar essences aren't all caged up in one place where many of them can be grabbed. This will mean that baring fantastical plot twists, any abyssal lunars will have to be constructed one by one, requiring a much higher initial investment of R&D on expected...
God, don't get me started on the index issue.
I was trying to look up the rules for fine, exceptional and perfect items for this very thread. Try it - it's fun!
And by fun, I mean extremely frustrating.
I'd just chuck them in the back of a broom closet in the servant's wing and throw a sheet over them.
And then set up all the fancy obvious death traps of the type Safim described so well, the only difference being they're all fakes.
I find it interesting that you so readily ascribe causality to that.
But, yes, generally people don't actually want to abuse this. I've never had anyone seriously try to get perfect items this way. It's just that, as written, it's so broad - Even leaving aside any obvious abuses, it still...
Well, the description just says "any mundane armour". The problem is Perfect lamellar armour at artifact 1 (instead of resources 5) is such a stupidly good deal that it makes every other artifact armour redundant. Just look at the current discussion of the corebook artifact armours - Perfect...
First off - Its called Moon-Faced Mail, MoEP:L page 128
As written it's mundane armour, with all the shapeshifting restrictions thereof (ie, not appearing on any form it doesn't fit) with the sole exception of it also fitting your war form, growing as needed.
If you just want armour for any...
I'm pretty sure it's been canonically stated that the exaltation resides in the hun - the lower soul. That's why the hungry ghosts of exalts are so fucking scary: That's the bit that was all big and powerful in life.
I've hashed over a ghost-form knack myself and ended up coming to the conclusion that it was out of theme, and that Lunars shouldn't have this power. Obviously you're free to disagree and let them have it in your games, but allow me to cover my reasoning:
1) Lunars feed of "life force" to gain...
Sure. But they'll remember that the resplendent destiny identity is some sort of illusion. Can't quite remember who it was underneath that, but it was someone...
Further more, it's possible this could be setting you up for a heap of paradox from the table on page 195, depending on what happens...
I am honestly completely baffled that anyone managed to have any other interpretation than this one. It isn't that hard to follow what's going on, is it?
Hybrid Body Rearrangement also requires that the mutation in question reflect in some way a property of one of the forms you have in your heart's blood library.
"Large" provides some difficulties in this regard; Even if you have consumed, say, an elephant's heart's blood, is that elephant...
I have a soft spot for The Silver Prince ever since using him as the Deathlord of a bunch of PC Abyssals, leading to me dropping regularly into completely overblown evil and manipulative villain dialogue. Good times, good times.
However, my vote actually went to the Lover, simply because I...
Personally, I'd ditch the rate increase to the clinch aspect of these weapons. Sure, you're short-changing the MM bonus a little, but clinching with a rate of more than one just causes headaches.
Furthermore, I personally don't allow the Jade hearthstone bracer effect to stack with the Jade MM...
