Realistic or Modern Zombie Apocalypse

Everything seemed to happen all at once..one second they were getting in the new guy's car and gun's shooting and everyone yelling in their two cents and the next they were stopping at some car dealership and he was telling them his stupid, crazy ass and quite frankly suicidal plan. Seriously was he mad? or had a some sick need for some messed us thrills..like putting one's self in a pretty deadly situation. When the vehicle stopped she didn't get out right away even when she heard Echo yelling, She just turned and looked at the stranger oddly.. "But why...why would you do that for us..you don't even know us i mean we could be really horrible people" she pointed out. Heck for all he knew they were murderer's or something.

Tori rubbed her forehead in confusion and she would have loved to press further but she heard Echo shouting again and gunshots and this time they weren't coming from anyone in there little makeshift group. At least for now it seemed like a group, She sighed softly she could hear the hoard getting closer too. Now wasn't the time so reluctantly she opened the passenger door and slipped out but not before looking back at the man and smiling. "Ya know what, thank's it's nice to know the whole world didn't turn to crap. I hope you make it back..and we will look after those girls, Well at the very least I promise i will. As best i can " She laughed a bit at that cause her best might not be great, but she would try. She jogged over to their new awaiting ride..feeling oddly settled that they had an actual destination in mind. She managed a quick glance toward the new shooter but she didn't hang around and bounded into the new set of wheels.

Aidan was thankful that she wouldn't have to waste a shot. This kid was awful generous to people he quite literally just met. She put her gun away while the boy took the shot. While she had been nervous that the speed of the car might knock her off, in reality it didn't seem as though they were going all to fast. Their speed was almost nerve wracking.

Once at the car dealership, she quickly hopped off the car. It seemed that the kid had been talking to Tori. Aidan couldn't quite catch what they were saying but figured she would ask Tori the info she might need later. Her train of thought had soon been interrupted by the sound of bullets. While she had no intentions of getting shot by this stranger, Aidan had to go see who this was. She certainly seemed to grabbing a lot of attention to herself. Echo seemed to be desperately trying to get everyone in the car but Aidan would listen in a minute.

"Give us a minute Echo!" Aidan went for cover by some cars, trying to inch closer to the noise.

"It doesn't look like she is shooting at us!" Aidan quickly answered to Jennifer, "yet."

At times Aidan amazes herself as to how she's made it this long without getting shot. She spotted the girl standing on a car but quickly ducked away once spotting the sniper rifle. Zombies were getting closer and she had little ammo to get out of a tight jam. She was going to do something incredibly stupid.

"Hey!!! Please don't shoot! We're heading to a safe zone if you want to follow," if someone in the group hated her for this later she would understand,"And please be quieter!!"

She headed back to Echo, entering the car with a rather guilty look on her face. Aidan was simply too tired of assuming everyone was a threat. The group could deal with her better once they were away from all the infected. She was done with her social interactions for the day. No matter what happened it seemed that the group of them would simply continue attracting larger and larger hordes.

@Mercer

By now Echo had a bored blank face that basically said "I'm done or I'm gonna kill you all." Echo sat in the pass ever seat impatiently tapping her fingers on the dashboard waiting for somebody to get in the drivers seat so they could drive away from the increasing horde and crazy sniper bitch. She wanted them to all get in the damn car. Whe. Aiden got in the car, she yelled to the others "For gods sake we don't have time to get to damn cover!!!" She screamed in impatience.

Jennifer is unsure what to do right now. There's a horde behind them, a random woman shooting at the herd, Echo is trying to leave, and the driver is trying to convince them to do the plan he wishes.

"Okay, listen, we don't have much time," she said, turning to the driver. "I'll go to your people, but I'm not sure about the others here."

Jennifer then got out and walked over to Aidan.

"I'm going to his people, so I'm finding a car," she says, trying to keep low in case this mysterious woman just so decides to shoot at her, or anyone else with her.

She finds a car in the lot with the door unlocked. Quickly, she starts the process of hot wiring the car, keeping a low profile so the shooter couldn't really see her in the car if she wanted to.

"Anyone coming with me to see his people, come to the car now! If you're not going to come with me, then you can go with Echo, unless Echo is also coming to the Mill."

Jennifer knew partially also took a second car for an escape, in case this be a trap. Truth be told, she wasn't sure if this was all a trap. But her humanity and kindness made her want to help this person's people out. The other reason she took it is because at one point, she'll need to leave and search for her medication. If she doesn't, she'll die. And there will be a point where she needs to get them, with or without the others.

Echo looked at Jennifer like she was insane "are you out of your god damn mind?! You think you'll be able to show up without a gun pointing at your head?! I am not going to go have tea and cupcakes with some random people that will no doubt put a gun to my fucking head!" She yelled to Jennifer, this was a terrible idea.

The car finally started. Luckily, this car had around 4/5's a tank of gas.

Damn, that's luck right there, Jennifer thought to herself with a slight smile and satisfaction that made her forget about what was going on around her, and snapped back into it once she heard Echo.

"I know it might be stupid, but... fuck it! I have no idea why the hell I'm doing this, but I am," Jennifer shouted back to Echo.

Truth be told, she really had no idea why she was doing it. Was she stupid for doing this? Yes. But in her, she tries to see the good in people, and maybe that is the worst thing to do. It could get her killed. She knew that all too well. She knew what stupidity her actions could bring. This could be a hostile group, and this could be an elaborate trap. But it started to dawn on Jennifer that she has nothing to live for. She doesn't really have a group or people she cares about. Her family and friends are gone. She's alone, and just so happened to stumble on some survivors. What she was doing was a gamble. And so far, it seems she is doing this alone.

"I'm giving everyone their last chance to come with me," shouted Jennifer, trying to see where the shooter was aiming.

We're these two really arguing now of all times? The kid had people counting on him, so the least Austin could do was check in on them, not to mention he did tell Jennifer he'd fix her up. If there was one thing Austin didn't like was owing debts or breaking his word, though that doesn't mean he wouldn't, he just doesn't like to. "You didn't seem to mind showing up in the building earlier with us pointing our guns at your damn head!" Snapping at Echo as he stayed low and followed after Jennifer and slid into the passenger seat of the car she'd found. "Your a serious pain in the ass you know that?" He told her, turning in his seat to look out some of the back windows.

This probably wasn't the smartest plan for his own survival, but it is what it is. Besides, they we're just a bunch of pregnant women right? How bad could it be.

Aidan was going to spend the next 5 minutes feeling guilty about inviting a complete stranger but then quickly realized she was not in the right car. Was Echo really not going to join up with the others. Aidan had half a mind to leave the car and join Jennifer but she was too frustrated that after putting them through so much hassle, Echo was just going to leave them. After all the trouble she went through, she got cold feet now. This was positively ironic and she suspected that her frustration showed on her face.

"Please just follow behind them if you're so worried. Drop me off when we get close," Aidan was prepared to leave the car quickly if Echo didn't take up the offer, "If you want, I can come back out and let you know that 'the folks inside are alright'."

"Wait what?!" Tori asked and she glanced over at Echo, Tori had bounced into the drivers side on the vehicle Echo had found. She Stared at the woman in surprise for a few seconds. "are you for real? there is two pregnant woman..no scratch that one pregnant woman and one with a newborn in some damn mill all alone some place and the guy who was looking out for them just decided to possibly sacrifice himself. FOR US might i add and you won't even go to check on them? cause i mean god forbid someone might point a gun at you right? you didn't mind doing it to the others in that building right?" she asked. Tori knew her tone was harsh and maybe her words were a little sharper than she meant them to be but she was ticked off "dammit it be a human will you? come one..you can't let the fear of what might and what might not happen stop you from doing the right thing..can you?" the blonde asked her tone a little softer this time.

Tori let out a long sigh and just shook her head before getting out of the car..this was all wasting time gah she knew that. They need to move out of here and now. "I hope we see you there" she threw over her shoulder to Echo and she really did she had a feeling there was allot more to her than she showed. She was soon slipping into the back seat behind Austin and Jennifer..she would leave Aiden to talk to Echo and see if she could bring them around to coming. She sat back against the seat and glanced out the window at the on coming horde. She clutched the shotgun to her chest and felt the comforting weight of the taser in her pocket. "I am coming with you guy's, we owe that dude..big time..he might not make it back from this." she said simply.

@Mica @Jennifer Shotain @Crono @DarknessSpirit

Echo sat back into the drivers seat. She let Aidens and Tori's words sink in. And put her hands in her face. She lifted up her sleeve of the leather jacket she wore, and looked at the tattoo that had a black heart on it with the inscriped words "Forever." On it. Se clenched her other hand into a fist, she kept squeezing unintentionally and noticed when her knuckles were white and her palm had deep nail imprints.

"Damnit, God damnit, fine. Fine I'll fucking follow, but I'm gonna shot somebody's sorry ass if I get a gun aimed at my head." She said as she looked at Aiden.

"Oh, don't be such a hypocrite," Aidan referred to their earlier meeting. If she had to be honest, she also would prefer if they didn't bump into someone capable with a gun. She's had enough scares for one day, "You'll be fine."

She may have had no right to make that promise, being that the entire day had been filled with chaos, but she felt that comforting words were needed at the moment. Now if only they could get a move on. It seemed everyone was at least nearby an available car. If they wanted to finally shake off the horde that had been hunting them all day they should get a move on. Aidan checked back to see if the girl with the rifle looked more or less okay. Most people at this point were capable of caring for themselves, if she didn't follow them chances were that she would be perfectly fine.

"We heading out or are we going to wait for the walkers to buckle themselves in?" There wasn't a single moment these days where she wouldn't feel anxious about getting eaten.

Echo nodded, and with a screech of tires she was serving ly driving down the road, towards the mill. "Don't be nervous, I never learned how to drive!" She yelled over the very loud jeep.

Austin soon followed into the car that Jennifer was in.

Crono said:
"Your a serious pain in the ass you know that?" He told her, turning in his seat to look out some of the back windows.
Jennifer smiled, and looked back at him.

"I knew you just couldn't live without me," she said sarcastically. Jennifer found herself liking to annoy Austin with these little sarcastic responses to his hard-ass, "doesn't like anyone" personality.

Just as she turned around, she saw Tori coming into the car.

Jennifer's sarcastic comment rolled right over Austin as he decided to ignore it. When she mentioned that it might be a trap and they should be careful he more or less chuckled, "Well if it is a trap, they are going to be the ones having a bad day." To be fair it had the makings of a trap, but the kid could have let them be run down by the horde and come back for their things later. If Austin thought this was most likely a trap he wouldn't be going, he'd be in the car with Echo and leaving.

When the car swerved combined with Jennifer's moan in pain Austin instinctively grabbed for the wheel from the passenger seat. Thankful that she gave up the driver seat rather than him forcing her to give it up. There was no way in hell he was going to die now because of a car accident, especially when most of the worlds cars aren't moving. So he slid over the console and into the drivers seat, "It's better this way. You know what they say about women drivers after-all." Oh that felt good. And while meant to be humorous he expected to get an earful, possibly even a gun barrel to his head but he doubted it. Stepping on the gas and checking his mirrors to see what was behind them curiously as they drove off.

@Jennifer Shotain @Lola Shimmer

Seeing their car a little behind her she sped up a little, she didn't want to hit them off the road by accident. She never got to learn how to drive, only very basic stuff for when she had to escape bad drug deals with her gang. Echo swerved a little more but just for fun, she took another turn, getting closer to the mill.

Jennifer got out and transitioned into the rear passenger seat of the vehicle. Austin took control of the car.

Crono said:
"It's better this way. You know what they say about women drivers after-all." O
Jennifer let out a combination of a laugh and pain.

"If you thought that was bad, then you would have just loved driving with me when I got my permit," she replied, glad he could bring some humor to a somewhat tense situation at the moment.

"And you're right, they'll be the ones having a bad day if it's a trap. My rifle and it's 7.62x51 NATO sure as hell do not make you feel good. It's a bad day if you're shot with it."

Jennifer continued to clutch her wound, and battle with increasing pain. She needed this patched up as soon as she can, or some painkillers in the meantime, for her own safety, and the safety of the others around her. If she dies, she could be one of undead. And this isn't how she wants to die, not yet, even if she doesn't have much to live for. Not this way, she told herself, silently.

"I hope you'll be ready to clean my wound, Austin, because this is starting to be some of the worst pain I have ever felt." She then turned to Tori. "I guess I should try not to fall through floors anymore."

While Jennifer knows her humor may leave much to be desired, it is somewhat a way for her to start to relieve stress. She always heard of comedic relief in dramas and such. And with the world as it is now, she needs that. Even if others don't laugh, it helps her, personally, keep a good mental state. It even helps her forget about the pain at the moment, albeit, for very short.

@Crono @Lola Shimmer

"Of course she doesn't know how to drive," she muttered. Aidan gripped at the back of Echo's seat. She should have buckled herself in. She would remember this for future reference, though it may be smarter to just stop being so close to Echo at times. It is starting to look like the girl is just terrible luck.

Up ahead she saw the car swerve for a moment. She would have asked what could have been the problem but her concern was interrupted by Echo's own terrible swerving. It almost seemed as though she was enjoying this. This girl was seriously just trying to bother her at this point. Next time Aidan is driving herself. She could see the mill getting larger on the horizon.

"Are we going in together or do you want to wait out here for a moment when we get there?" Aidan hoped that she would simply go in with them but an escape vehicle was still a fairly reasonable idea.

Tori felt a small smile tug at her lips at the mention of her nickname and she shook her head slightly. That wasn't going anywhere fast was it? She should have left the seven dwarfs be. However a soft chuckle still escaped her lip's..one that died off at Jennifer's question. "Honestly? I don't know i hope so..i kinda gave her a few hard truths it might have been a little harsh but i think it done the trick. Aiden is talking to her" Tori shrugged at that she didn't know if Echo would come but when they set off and she soon saw they weren't the only car heading in the direction of the mill she smiled. "I guess they decided to come" she stated and gestured to the two girls in the other vehicle. "and yeah lets hope the whole passing out thing was a one off eh?" she asked amused.

The amusement was short lived though when she felt the swerve of the car and heard the sound jennifer made. Her eyes widened in worry and she gripped the back of the seat in front of her to stop herself from being flung to the side in the car. She was thankful when Austin grabbed the wheel but she made a scoffing noise at hos comment about women drivers. ""yeah yeah grumpy just drive!" she called trying to sound threatening but her smirk ruined it completely and when Jennifer got in the back and stated she probably shouldn't fall through floors anymore Tori lost it and started to laugh. "no..no i dont think that was your smartest move so uh lest's just avoid injuries from here on in right?" she asked still laughing. She was glad she had at least ran into people with some sense of humor and she herself had a pretty dark since of humor so at least a few of these people seemed like they wouldn't get utterly offended by it.

@Mica @Crono @Jennifer Shotain @DarknessSpirit

"So, what's the plan when we get there? We don't know how these people react to a bunch of random strangers showing up, instead of that kid earlier. They might think we're lying or something like that. A lot of things could happen when we show up, so we should have a plan on what to do. Let's just hope that they aren't going to be hostile. I think we try to keep the peace no matter what. Also, in case things go south, keep this car on. I know, I know, I'm throwing up a bunch of hypothetical's right now. But we just have to be careful. I know none of you guys are bad. We may haven't have been together for long, but I know you're all good people. So let's be very cautious about it."

Jennifer said this all as we seemed to just have the mentality of walking up to the door and meeting people. She was hoping everyone would be cautious about it.

"Does anyone else have any ideas about how we go about this," she questioned the people in the car.

@Lola Shimmer @Crono

Echo sighed, "I'll probobly go in, but I never said I was staying, I hardly get enough sleep anyway and I don't need a baby drawing zombies to us because of its constant crying. " she stated. They took the last turn, slowly pulling up to the mill.

Austin kept the majority of his concentration on the road and the other vehicles taillights in front of them. They couldn't really go all too fast for long periods of time, needing to slow down to go around abandoned or wrecked cars in the road. Austin raised an eyebrow, "You two seeing this right?" Mentioning the fact that the other vehicle was all over the place. The man let out a sigh, "She doesn't know how to drive does she?" His question wasn't really directed at the other two since he guessed they wouldn't know but more in general.

When the thoughts on a plan we're brought up Austin cocked his head to the side in thought while never taking his eyes off the road. "Well, if the kid wasn't lying then one of you two or maybe Aidan should go in first. Not sure Echo would be a good choice, and if they saw a man strolling in they might shoot first ask questions later. You've got that female bond, and they are going to have those motherly instincts kicking in. Plus you two would likely do a better job at calming and convincing them than me. But Jennifer's already hurt so, my best idea? Tori goes first." There was a momentary pause before he continued, "And if it is a trap, well...I can always run them down with the car, or drive it into the building." There was a shrug of his shoulders followed by a sigh, "Does she even know where this mill is?" He asked a little frustrated in regards to Echo, then moments later it came into view as they took a turn. Guess so.

Once the building was close enough the car lurched to a halt, Austin eyeing the building up ahead of them while his fingers drummed on the steering wheel. "Maybe someone should stay in the car in case it does go south." Looking over his shoulder into the backseat at the two of them. "If that pain is as bad as you said then you should be the one to hang back."

Aidan could only shrug to this statement. She wasn't one to convince people to stick around. To be honest, Echo's reasoning made sense. A child in general is an incredible hardship on a group but she was so tired of being alone. The idea of having a child also seemed to have a strange sense of hope. It would give an impression that even though everything has gone to shit the human race would live on. Aidan almost wanted to see how these kids would get by, that is supposing that they would make it.

She wondered if saying any of this would convince Echo to stick around but one ultimately have their own reasons for staying.

"You know Dopey, you don't really make much sense," Aidan was thinking to what Echo had been doing. She ran to try and save them but is trying to run away now. She should have understood that even if she joined without the kids being around, they would be in constant danger, "What do you actually want? Did you really come after us in that building out of the goodness of your heart?"

Listening to Austin, Jennifer considered his thoughts and plan.

"I agree. I should stay back in the car, and either Tori or Aidan, or both, should go up to the door. I would offer myself, but as you mentioned, I'm injured, and the pain is getting worse. Worse comes to worst, and I were up there, my wound would make me slower. I'd pretty much be dead. Tori and Aidan are the softer ones in our makeshift little group we formed. I think that's the people who should go up. I'll hang back in the car, and I'll have my rifle ready, but I won't have it pointing. These people, as you said, Austin, could shoot first, ask questions later. We don't really know what we're walking into. So, please, be careful. Once you determine it is safe, one of you signal to me. Then we need to have my wound cleaned. Someone should go talk to Echo and Aidan real quick, and tell them the plan."

Jennifer thought the plan was solid. She knew this could go one of many different ways. The softer, kinder people should handle the talking. Echo and Austin shouldn't, as they seem more of the hardass, doesn't get along with strangers all too well, type, with the acception of today.

"So, you guys ready," she asked them.

Jennifer sat back and looked at the mill. She assumed that the people inside already heard the cars roll up. Soon, they'll hear the doors. They will most likely assume we're hostile, especially with that kid not here. Who knows if they'll think they killed him and were coming for them. They somewhat have that right, as we are all a bunch of strangers that stumble across where they were hiding, and claim that the kid told us to go here. Whatever happens, Jennifer hopes that it goes down smoothly.

"Hey, guys," started Jennifer, softly, "please be careful. I don't want to see more good people die than already have."

Alexander rode his van through the city, not looking back. Well, it wasn't exactly HIS van. He just took it for himself, as its previous owners died a horrible death. He was near his destination now.

''Ugh...Rich Street...Rich Street...where is it? I can't remember.'', Alexander thought to himself. He has just returned to his hometown after years of absence. He was in an army and often participated in a few wars in the Middle East. He's just been returning home when the apocalypse started - he witnessed his best friend Stephen's brutal murder and his commanders worried about his mental health, deciding it's best to take him home. But on his way back, on the plane, someone was already infected with this strange disease. Turned into one of those undead monsters and eventually raised his own little horde, biting and killing everyone it came across. Eventually, they managed to get into the cockpit and devour the pilots. The plane crashed far away from Ohio, luckily still in America. It was very lucky for Alexander to survive. But he wasn't the only one that got away. A few other survivors managed to not get killed and escape. They decided to create a small survivor community which lasted for a few months.

The community was threatened by a large group of bandits. They would request a lot of supplies and say that they'll kill them all if rejected. Alexander wanted to return to Ohio at that time, since he had a wife there - young, precious Olivia. But he couldn't. He would get killed if he'd go too far outside of their camp. He waited...until someone from his group betrayed everyone and spoke up with the bandits, opening the camp's gates one time and letting those bastards in. They killed everyone too unlucky to wake up in time. And that betrayer was supposed to watch the camp that night, he just got a perfect opportunity. Alexander ran into a van the group's leader had and drove away with it, alone to this day. Everyone else who escaped went in other directions and it was nearly impossible to find them again. So now he's one in the Ohio towns, the one where his wife lived, looking for the street she had an apartment on, slowly running out of fuel.

After finally managing to find the flat he lived in with Olivia, he left the car, taking the keys with himself. He entered the building and climbed up a few floors before finally finding the right aparment. He was terrified to see them slightly opened. ''Maybe she escaped and left the door open'', he thought, hoping that's true. Holding his faithful Colt pistol in his hand, he entered the aparment. It smelled horribly in there. Coughing from this bizarre smell, he entered a small living room and something was laying beside the bookshelf. It was...a corpse! He ran in its direction and it certainly was Olivia. His beautiful, red-haired wife bitten several times in various limbs, now laying dead.

''NOOO!!! No, oh hell no, I didn't...No...I had hoped it wouldn't come to this'', Alex weeped, touching his former wife's cheek with tears in his eyes. Suddenly, she groaned and opened her eyes - but she wasn't alive. Her white, empty eyes indicated that she now turned into one of those undead monsters and grabbed Alexander's wrist trying to bite his hand. He yelled and almost immediately shot her in her left temple, killing her for the last time. ''Shit shit shit shit shit shit'', he whispered to himself. At this moment, when he heard a few sinister moans coming from the stairwell, he acknowledged he isn't safe here anymore. In all this haste and worry, he forgot to close the door - hell, he even opened it wider! He didn't manage to run on the stairwell and get back down to the van, some zombies already entered the apartment. There were like three of them and more coming this way from upper floors. He didn't have much ammo, so he decided not to waste it. The undead cornered him into his bedroom, but he had a plan. He opened the window and saw another building in front of him, as well as another window. ''If only I could manage to grab the windowsill'', he thought. He jumped and...he didn't the catch it, leaving himself to fall.

''FUUUUUUAAAAAHHHHH'', he yelled at the top of his lungs, until he hit the floor. It hurt him so much, but didn't break anything, thank goodness. Hurt and somewhat angry, he realized he just yelled a moment ago and quite a bit of zombies were heading to the alleyway from the street. ''Shit'', he said and ran deeper into the alleyway.

Echo spun around angrily. "Listen here IM NOT GOOD, okay? I'm. The bad guy and I can't change and that's how it's gonna be. I was trying to survive, and yes for once, I did the right thing. She shut off the cars engine. "And if we're gonna be smart about this I probobly shouldn't go in first unless that baby wants a bullet in its head." Echo said simply, as if it were casual to say that.
