Realistic or Modern Zombie Apocalypse

In all honesty Tori had zoned out from the group somewhat when all the talk about medical training and supply runs had come up. She didn't speak up and offer herself to go with and she certainly wasn't planning to either. Not because she was scared or didn't need supplies cause lord knows she needed just about everything and what she wouldn't do for a toothbrush but quite simply all these people were clearly more combat ready than she was. Tori could hold her own well enough against a living thing that would hit the ground with a well swung punch to the face but against something that just wanted to chomp her arm off? well she was a bit lacking. So the chances were she would slow them down and possibly get herself or someone else hurt, it made more sense and was more practical for her to stay behind. Besides if they did find some where to hide out for a while she could start setting it up or something.

She was still lost in her thoughts as she leaned against the side of the truck the others chatter not really reaching her ears. She was wondering how far this sickness had spread, Had it made it all the way home? were her family..ok..watching horror struck at the TV knowing she was here or were they chasing the neighbors mindlessly down the street and trying to eat their Chihuahua? She wasn't sure which was worse. However she promptly jumped and was brought back to reality when she senses the panic from the others around her. Tori was kind of relieved, she would get nowhere fast with the kind of thoughts she was having. Whens he finally realized what they were panicking about though she cursed under her breath "Don't they ever take a damn break. Greedy gits they'll get fat" she muttered, but upon hearing the dismay coming from inside the cab she made her way off and gently pushed Austin out of her way "Scuse mee" She mumbled and literally climbed in throught he little cab window. Which was rather a squeeze and fell practically onto Jennifer's lap and pulled herself into a sitting position "be out of your way in a sec ladies" she hummed and reached down working her magic or at least trying too with the same wires she had before "coooome on little truck we done this once...we can do it again..be a good girl..." she could hear the hoard getting closer.

Aside from seeing a couple of Zombies on the sidewalks and eating corpses on parts of the Road, Tiffany did feel rather disturbed. However, she had hoped that the other two women were finally getting some rest. Glancing over at Miyuki, Tiffany felt that she was probably tired and hasn't gotten much sleep in the last couple of days. "Go ahead and get some rest, when I find a safer place, we can switch." She said to the other girl. Looking back at the new mother, Tiffany was happy to see that Skylynn and her baby were doing well, resting and all. Afterwards, she went back to driving.

Miyuki kept her arrows and bow right next to her, to pull out at a moment's notice. "I'm fine." She says as she looks out the window. She sighs as she sees what was now a reality. She still remembers going to the park with all of her friends as well as going on road trips with her family. She looks back, making sure Skylynn and the baby was safe. 'They need us now, more then ever.' She thinks as she watches the road. "This is where Holliday said to turn." She said as a narrower road came up. "Should lead us to where we have to go."

Skylynn looked up at Tiffany and Miyuki who were in the front seats and she shifted slightly, holding onto Josh as if he were her life line. She looked at him, and watched as he slept.

She smiled slightly as she imagined what he was going to look like as he grew older. This may not have been the ideal situation to have him in, but she was glad to have something, other than a sweatshirt, of her late husband.

It had taken Holliday an hour to reach his truck which was parked it was a mile and a half away. It took so long because he didn't feel like rushing. When people rushed they made mistakes, and when you made mistakes in their world you died. Holliday moved carefully, slowly navigating each corner with care, kukri in hand. The nice thing about the babies cries were that they had drawn all the nearby zombies to the house where he had dispatched the majority. All that was left now were the occasional strays which Holliday cleanly beheaded with a single stroke of his blade.

When he reached his truck, the site was exactly as he had left it. The Dodge sat under sever large trees in a patch of thick trees, as the woods were woven into this area of suburbs. All the windows were rolled up and the doors were locked. All of his various equipment and supplies were safely packed up in the bed of the truck and the back seat. On the roof laid a bedroll and a small radio where he had slept the night before. While most would have called him crazy, he knew it was perfectly safe. The are he was in had a very low population density and he had throughly killed any zombie within a third of a mile before he'd even began to lay down.

Holliday carefully packed his bedroll and shoved it in the passenger seat. Next he unslung his rifle scabbard and set it down leaning against the console on the passenger side. Finally he took out his phone and plugged one side into his car charger, the other into the auxiliary cable. With that he plugged the key in and the engine roared to life. The speakers of his car began to leach out his favorite playlist. Holliday smiled, and then drove off.

"Just perfect," found himself saying an 45 minutes later. His path was blocked now for the 5th time, and just like each time before abandoned cars were the reason. Holliday wanted to yell but didn't have the time, the longer he stayed the more attention he would attract from the area's zeds. Even now sever were emerging from building to investigate. Holliday just sighed and went in reverse, backing up enough so he could turn around and try again somewhere else. The way he figured approaching from the west wouldn't be an option. Instead he figured he would need to head further into the heart of the city so he could make a wide sweep and approach form the north. Holliday bit his lip and began putting road behind him.

About a half hour later, Holliday saw that luck really wasn't with him. Down the street he spotted a group of survivors futilely attempting to jump start a truck as a horde was approaching. Holliday bit his lip as he knew there would be no chance of them making it out alive without his help. The only way he figured that he could do that would be to draw the horde away. This meant that while they would be safe, he'd have only screwed himself. "You already did your good deed for today, don't even bother," Holliday said to himself, "The girls are expecting you, they need you. You don't have a heart, you don't have a heart, you don't have a heart. GOD DAMNIT, WHY DO I HAVE TO HAVE A HEART!!!" Holliday rolled down all of the window and put the speakers to full blast, that would get the hordes attention. The song that played was a perfect fit for his cynical sense of humor, and somehow made him more determined. Then he floored the pedal and sped towards the survivors.

Holliday braked long before he got to the group. His truck was huge, more of a tank really, and it's momentum caused it to slide to a stop only a few yards from the panicked survivors. When he did he crushed two zombies that where farther ahead of the rest. "ALRIGHT. ONE OF YOU IN THE PASSENGER SEAT NOW. THE REST STEP UP ON THE FOOT RAIL AND LATCH ON TO THE ROOF. HOLD TIGHT, YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. I HAVE A PLAN BUT HURRY. GO! GO! GO!" While he yelled to the others he pulled out his pistol and stuck it out the window. He began to take potshots at the closer members of the horde. He was glad that his one handed shooting skills allowed him stick the gun out a few feet, otherwise he would have deafened himself.

Jennifer fumbled around with the wires, trying to start it.

"I know, Austin," she replied to him, saying how their lives depended on her starting the truck.

In this instance, Tori ran over and got in and tried to start it.

"Tori, it's not worth it, we have to run! This piece of shit's worthless! It isn't going to start!"

She turned to the rest, shooting the incoming undead.

"Damn it, we have to run, now," she yelled.

Shortly thereafter, the sudden sound of music erupted, and a truck came out of nowhere. A man inside was shooting undead. He killed two with his truck, which was badass, Jennifer must admit. He yelled about getting into the truck if we wanted to live. Jennifer quickly ran to the passenger seat, her wound killing her.

"I can't hang on the outside, guys, my wound hurts too much right now," she yelled, running towards the passenger seat.

An undead lurked nearby, which Jennifer promptly took out with a single round.

Someone appearing out of nowhere offering help was odd. But, fuck it, Jennifer thought. There was no way she would get away from that herd with the pain she was now experiencing. And if this guy was going to kill them, she might have had more of a fighting chance. Either way, she didn't care. Get in the truck first, ask questions later. She opened the door, and sat herself down in the seat. She leaned out the window with her large rifle, and started to fire on those getting close.

"Everyone, let's go," she yelled towards the group, which seems to be Jennifer's thing, yelling towards the group. "Let's go, let's go," she said, continuing to take out any undead in their way.

She hadn't said a word to the guy in the truck. There wasn't time to. She just kept on shooting.

Echo sprinted for the mysterious truck, who just saved all there asses. She jumped and clung unto the handrail, expertly chutfing down zombies that were to close to her, with her katana. And then pulled out her pistol and started to try and hold them off.

Tori had been more than forceful with passing him by at the back window of the vehicle, nearly knocking the man over with a light grunt as he flailed an attempt to grab onto something so he didn't end up on his ass. That was twice in one day, he wouldn't go for a third. Growling as he slid out of the back of the truck he knew they had no time, leave the truck or die at this point. Jennifer seemed to understand this as well as she attempted to get Tori to give up.

Before he could yell at them to get the hell out, planning to leave them then and there he heard...music? Then there was a large truck with a kid hanging out of the window yelling for them to get in. Austin plainly gave him the stink eye before climbing up onto the roof of the vehicle, he wouldn't waste time with trying to argue over who got inside, and he was confident in his own physical ability to stay ontop as long as the kid knew how to drive. That combined with the fact that they probably wouldn't survive if they ran any longer was the reason he decided to go for it, while he'd given an unspoken promise to clean Jennifer's wound this new player could force him to bail and break that. Instead of yelling over the obnoxiously loud music like the rest he kept his concentration on getting situated and keeping an eye on the horde advancing on them. This day just get's better and better.

"Stupid piece of crap come on just work!!!!" Tori screamed at the truck as if that was going to help her get it running but she was super frustrated right now. She couldn't remember what wires she had put together the first time round and it felt like she had done nothing but run fr her life since her hiding place had got compromised. "Ah hell this thing isn't going to work!!" she shouted and landed a punch on the dashboard. It hurt her knuckles like hell sending a stabbing pain through them but in all honesty the woman was to mad to care. Her hear was bouncing in her chest with a mix of adrenaline and fear. when the others started to bail out of truck she cursed. They were going to have to run for it and god she hoped she didn't pass out again, She wasn't a fan and was about down being the weak link that was getting these people in trouble.

She was about to get ready to sprint for her life when she heard the music blasting from a little bit away and steadily getting closer and louder. The blonde titled her head tot he side her blue eyes narrowing as the truck drew near. She had a dumbfounded expression on her face for the sheer fact every time it seemed they were in a tight spot today something jumped in last minute to save their ass. That was two people she owed now. Tori sighed and she didn't need to be asked twice.if this guy was offering them help she was gonna take it. She would rather risk it in that truck with a possible murderer than get eaten to death and turned into one of them things. When none of the others seemed to go for the passenger seat she made it a bee line for it herself. She wasn't great with a weapon so it would be dumb for her to get int he way and take up space outside from someone who could. Her feet hit the ground hard and in less than 10 seconds she had jumped over afew dead zeds, grabbed the door handle on the car pulling the door wide and practically diving into it. "Mister..you sure have good timing" she laughed and slammed the door shut behind herself.

Tiffany took the turn that Miyuki told her to. However, she still felt a bit skeptical about the other guy that left them after they decided to leave the house. Hopefully trusting them would not be a mistake. Looking at the other two women, Tiffany pulled into the meeting spot where they were supposed to meet. Putting the car in park and shutting off the engine so that they would not attract the infected, seeing that she spotted a few in the distance. Tired, Tiffany reclined her seat just a bit so that she wouldn't smother Skylynn. "Wake me when Holliday shows up...If he shows up. Oh and if you're hungry, go ahead and grab something to eat, I have some food in the back."

Miyuki steps outside, careful not to wake any of the other women as she scouts the area. Her quiver was on her back and bow was in hand. "I will be out around, both of you rest." She says as she looks around, 'It's really quiet....it looks safe but one cannot be too sure.' She climbs up a rock that was close by and sits on top of it. She swings her quiver down, keeping her arrows on her right side and her bow on her left. She leaned against the structure as she looks at the Jeep, 'Better stay up for Holliday. He's going to come, I know it.' She thinks as she waits.

Aidan shot a slug, killing or at least knocking one of the undead down. She could see Tori trying to climb to the front from the corner of her eyes. This wasn't working. It seemed that they were going to run soon and if that was the case, Aidan prepared to set off the alarm in the car.

She heard the truck before she saw it. Aidan almost forgot about the horde in front of her at the sound of music. It had simply been forever since she had been able to listen to a song. The fact that it had been a song she liked somewhat must have meant she had died and gone to the heaven for people that happened to be half-decent. She quickly snapped out of it when the boy told them to climb onto the roof. Not wanting to be stuck in the current vehicle, she pulled herself on. She was about to put her gun away realizing she wouldn't be able to shoot from a moving vehicle accurately but quickly realized that she could give a single more shot before this car started going at full speed and she would have to hold on for dear life.

"Hey kid! Do you need the other car!?!" she positioned herself to give one more shot before putting the shotgun away so she could hold on to the roof better, "I can set the alarm off quick as a distraction!"

Skylynn nodded her head slightly and closed her eyes, shifting slightly, but making sure to not wake up Josh, who had thankfully not been that fussy.

She heard Miyuki step out of the car and she nodded her head, but she wasn't ire she was going to get much rest, no matter how tired and sore that she was.

She bit her lower lip when Josh began to whimper softly and his face began to get red, tell tale signs of babies who were about to start full on crying.

"Hey, hey, you're okay. It's okay. You're hungry aren't you?" She asked softly, watching as his eyes opened and closed a few times.

She sat up, wincing along the way, and gently moved Josh to one arm so that she could pull her shirt and bra down so that he could breast feed. As soon as she felt him latch on she sighed once more, thankful that he had quieted down immediately.

After a few moments Josh had finished, so she readjusted her shirt and carefully placed him on her should so that she could burp him. Sky let out a small yawn and began to pat Josh's back lightly, trying to get him to burp.

"Good idea," Holliday said to the one clone lady with a foreign accent, "But I'll take care of it." Holliday opened the car door and got out slightly. He leveled the revolver and fired into a few key points. As he had hoped the old truck started to wail. Holliday smiled and ducked back into the car and handed his revolver to the girl sitting next to him. He pointed to an jug full of ammo which sat in front of the center console. "Reload me." He didn't mean to sound so impolite but he was to pressed for time to concern himself with plesantries.

Holliday glanced around, every one had seemed to have gotten aboard. "Looks like everybody's on, lets get the hell out of Dodge." With that Holliday cut the radio and stepped on the gas. The majority of the herd seemed to go for the truck whose alarms could be heard for miles, still some decided to stumble after them. "Damn it never can be that easy. Holliday drove at about 20 mph, fast enough they could get away but at the same time the others could hold on, yet the some of the zombies still kept up pace.

After a mile Holliday saw an out. Up ahead was a used car dealership, Perfect, he thought. He turned to the girl next to him. "Alright so here's the deal, if I keep going this speed we'll never ditch these bastards. So this is the plan, Im going to drop you off here so you guys can hot-wire a car and escape on your own. I'll play the radio again and draw whats left of the horde away from you. If you can't hot wire one you should easily be able to find keys inside, just make it quick. Also, can I ask a favor of you? I was supposed to meet a group of women over at the mill on the river. One just gave birth and the other is several months pregnant. If you could go meet up with them and tell them what happened here is appreciate it. There's no guarantee I'll be coming back so Id prefer they didn't think I abandoned them. Besides it should be a safe place for you guys to hold up. Now get going, we are wasting time."

"Annnd nevermind." Echo said annoyed. She jumped out, she swore that guy's voice could be heard from miles he talked so loud... She rolled her eyes but jumped off the truck. Like hell she was going to have a dinner party with strangers. And she hated baby's.. A lot. To much damn noise. Thankfully he stopped a truck next to a car. Echo went to the passengers side and broke the window with the butt of her katan, she searched the glove compartment until she finally saw some keys.

"Thank god." She said and started up the car. "Alright get your asses in the car, I call shotgun." She said to the others in the guys truck and hopped in the passenger seat.

-taking some gas and looking aroynd if there r zombie to e spoted-...-chukles - anotyer day another dawn -start the car and drive- i realy hppe there r survivors here -sighn- being aling feels like there is no hope to be held -hitting tge zombies- .... -look aroynd while driving-

Rea was at a car dealership, scavenging for anything she can find. She has a car hotwired and ready to go, in case something happens. She has all her ammo and resources in the car. She searched anywhere around the store and found gas and some snacks. She then heard footsteps, and a lot of em.

She narrowed her eyes and slowly went to the entrance, peeking her head out, her guns now at either side of her hands. She saw a car, with a horde of zombies following it. They seem to be heading over to the place she was at. She stood on the roof of her car, shooting zombies in the head one by one, using her sniper rifle.

Jennifer took the man's revolver, and reloaded it when he asked when she first got in the truck. She fond this a bit odd he asked, but hell, he just saved their asses. So she thought he deserved it.

Upon arriving arriving at the car dealership, she listened to the man's plan. And when Echo jumped out of a the truck because of it, Jennifer was somewhat at odds. She didn't really want to run around and have to scramble again. Especially because she has a wound that needs to be taken care of, and medicine to be found. But on the other hand, his plan could work, especially if he was lucky enough to eventually get the undead away from him.

"I'll do it. But someone else needs to Hotwire a car. My wound is limiting me a bit at the moment--and it isn't a bite or anything, long story. Anyone willing to do his plan, speak up now so we can go. We don't have a lot of time. If you're going to follow it, get out and Hotwire a car ASAP! I'll try and hold some undead off of us in the meantime. Or, screw it. I'll get out and cover whosever ass it is hotwiring. Sound like a plan?" She asked everyone on the truck, readying her rifle.

Sudden shots were then heard from nearby.

"Oh, shit," Jennifer exclaimed. "Anyone have a visual on that shooter? Are they shooting at us?"

Jennifer had wondered (and hoped) this wasn't a group associated with the ones that attacked her earlier in the day, whoever this shooter or shooters were.

Austin listened to the kids plan as he dropped off the large truck with a thump, it was odd seeing someone so young being so selfless to a group of complete strangers. If Austin hadn't changed his outlook on the apocalypse maybe this would be the type of person he would be, like he'd been before the world had gone to hell. The man turned his head away from the truck with a scowl, mainly addressed towards himself and his thoughts but partially to this stranger and this ideal.

If he hadn't changed Austin would be dead by now, of that he was sure of, because here was this kid doing this and he wouldn't likely survive it. Helping people gets you killed, plain and simple. Here was the proof right in front of him, and even the kid had given into the fact that he might die by those words and warning them of the group he was to meet up with. Even so there was some part of Austin wanted to offer to go with him to try and help but there was no point, another persons presence wouldn't save the kid if the horde somehow caught the truck. Then it would be two dead people instead of one, Austin turned his head back towards the drivers side window, "Goodluck kid." He told him before moving around the vehicle to the other four women.

Being forced to duck once again today after hearing shots, "What the hell is with this damn town!?" Austin hissed, sorely wishing he'd gone around Ohio on his trek across the U.S. And while the shots we're echoing a bit it took him a few moments to gauge the direction, where a vehicle looked slightly out of place with someone standing on it. From the angle she wasn't aiming at them thankfully, but the shots we're loud and just drawing the horde in a more direct angle. Not to mention....Yup, Austin stayed low in the event she changed targets, moving between two vehicles where an undead was crawling out of a car, deciding to stomp on it's head quickly. "She's waking up all the dead for miles, she's bound to get us all killed!" He called out in a hushed angry tone.

"Hello?!, get in the fucking jeep!" She said in a hushed angry whisper, nobody seemed to have noticed she got the jeep started and was waiting in the passenger seat. Echos face held panic and irritation.
