Realistic or Modern Zombie Apocalypse

David, with Miyuki's map, had showed the plan to Austin. He pointed out each route and alternate routes in case things go south.

"This run should be pretty straight-forward, but if things go wrong or we have any issues whatsoever, we split up and meet here by sunset."

He rolled up the map, handing it back to Miyuki. He didn't know exactly how this would go down, but the run seemed cut-and-dried. The sun wasn't completely up yet and it was still rather dark. David took a quick drink.

"I need full cooperation here, if we mess this up, Jen won't get that medication. If you need to branch from the original plan, think over your choices. I'm in no place to control you, but please, think before you act..."

David waved at Miyuki, gesturing her to follow him as he sets off down the road, heading towards the huge city.

Austin watched out of the corner of his eye as David spoke, watching Tammy basically march off ahead of them. "Where the hell does she think she's going?" He mumbled to the other two before they started walking towards the city. Tammy wasn't a team player, she didn't ask, didn't converse, didn't even have the decency to mention she was going. Not that anyone really has to, but it certainly ticked Austin off and honestly put him on edge. Was this all some grand scheme for Tammy and David to split the group up?

"So how are we getting into that chopper?" He asked David, his blow-torch plan seemingly shot down the night before. "We should also have a backup plan, just in case the chopper isn't able to be scavenged, hit up a pharmacy or hospital maybe." Austin shrugged, he was thinking out scenario's in his head.

David watched as Tammy marched off, he didn't trust her, she didn't earn it or show any chance to prove it. He decided it was none of his concern, turning to Austin to answer his previous questions and comments.

"Yeah, well, as long as she doesn't follow us, she shouldn't mess us up."

He cleared his throat, getting back on-topic.

"Anyways, the helicopter is on its side, the doors are completely crumpled, but we can easily get one person in at a time, I was thinking that I go in and you two keep watch. I will enter first, cut open the compartments, as I said, any old knife can cut through the slots. I will open the compartments, stuff what I can in my bag, and get out and we swap until we either have everything or we're filled."

David stuck his hand in the pocket, he was eager to get going before the sun came up so that their jobs could be a lot easier.

Miyuki remains silent as she follows David and Austin's leads. She notices them looking at Tammy who was going ahead of everyone, "Way to let us know you were going to tag along," she says to herself as she looks over at David and Austin. She pulled out her map and looks at it, 'I sure hope this will be easy.' She walks over to David and Austin and talks to them, "Are we going to get the show on the road or is she going to beat us to the meds?" She asks as she points over at Tammy. She wasn't too trusting of Tammy but she felt that she could at least give her a chance, after all she is human so there has to be some humanity in her.....right?

After waiting a while and realizing no one had opted to follow her into the little work room she had found and giver her a hand Tori sighed. Oh well she decided she would probably work better on her own anyways, When she started doing something she always got a specific idea on how she wanted it down and well..sometimes people didn't quite grasp that. It totally wasn't that she was bossy or picky in any way she decided. "Right then" The woman murmured to herself as she cast an eye around the room and tried to envision her idea in it. If those three were going out there to risk their lives for them well the least the ones left behind could do was to try fixing this place up a bit right? And seeing what they could do with the things they had found around here..Which was exactly why she was standing in this room getting ready to work her butt off. A glint of determination flashed over the woman's face and a motivations he had felt in quite some time..since all this started really..to do something worth while or to actually have something to do she supposed, something that actually had a purpose. Tori's smile widened at that.. it felt good she wasn't going to lie it felt really good. It was like there was a smidgen of control back..it was comforting. The world might have gone to hell but that didn't mean they couldn't live and at least try to make some sort of life for themselves..none of them would ever live like they did before but..at least they would live. They needed to make peace with that. "Ok!" she clapped her hands together in front of herself and set to work.

A short while later Tori was sweating buckets, She had pushed the two large wooden tables to either side of the room and tight into the walls that didn't have any storage space on them..thus clearing the middle of the room and making quite an impressive amount of space. Those things were heavy..hella heavy She pulled her recently reclaimed jacket off and chucked it into a corner and yanked the jumper she had on under neath over her head so she was left in her t-shirt. She wiped her brow of seat quickly with the back of her left hand..she was no where near started she had just finished for goodness sake. This place was a mess but it was going to be great when she was done. She didn't waste much time standing aorund..she knew her energy was limited, After all only the tables had been moved and the exhaustion was catching up with her. Wiping everything down as best she could was next.."I neeed....AH!" she declared happily and scooped a rag up off the floor..eh it was dusty and had seen cleaner times but it would do the trick. lifting it up in the air Tori gave it two or three sharp whips to get the debris and dust off...mostly. A quick trip out the back exit brought her to the river's edge that the mill actually sat on and she dunked the empty water bottle from the water miyuki had given her the night before and filled it up. When it was full she turned and headed back to her little project.

Going around all the surfaces in the room and the table tops Tori used the bottle to wet the rag by covering the opening off it with said rag and tipping it up now and then to keep it damp. It meant she wasn't soaking it and using little water so she didn't have to keep running back and forth to get more. She tackled the storage cupboards after she had done all of the surfaces, cleaning them out of whatever crap had gathered in them and searching them at the same time. She found a few more rags a hammer and some rusty old nails but not much more of anything else. It looked like this place had already been given the clear out by someone before they got here..which was good it someone had raided the place it meant they were long gone and wouldn't come back cause they got everything they wanted from it. Not being the tallest person in the world cleaning the top shelves wasn't exactly easy but with the help of the tin box she had found the night before and aloooooooooooot of stretching she managed to get it done. Remembering the tin box and what she had found inside it gave Tori another idea..but one thing at a time..many projects at once made for sloppy work. The blonde carried on working diligently her plan coming together nicely. At this point she was just cleaning everything onto the floor cause she hadn't done it yet..blah.

never having been a fan of cleaning she soon found her interest starting to wane, But she didn't stop. Tori believed if you started a job then you finished it with as much care as you began with. besides she really did want to do it..it was just taking her little longer than she thought she didn't think she would have been so slow on her feet. However leaning against the long stick she had found outside and tied the rags tot he bottom effectively making herself a broom if you like and once she was done sweeping with it she simply dunked it in the river to make a mop. She was breathless sweaty and tired but as she stood at the doorway of the old work room a smile spread across her face and she stood up a bit taller proud of what she had achieved. The room looked completely different. The tables pushed against the walls made for two very long benches and with the whole room cleaned it was more sanitary..and lots of space. They had a supplies room/ kitchen if her next idea worked out right..Tori had been thinking of those knives she found earlier and the half made rocking horse. She had decided they must have been carving knives for the workers to shape whatever parts they needed so the next plan was to scavenge for some old bits of wood that had to laying about the place and try and make some sort of bowls and cup. That way they at least would have something to eat off and drink from. Running a hand through her hair she set her make shift tools against the wall..She needed something to write on and something to write with..chance would be a fine thing. Snatching up her clothes Tori tied the jumper and jacket around her waist and went off in search of any of the others.

Tammy heard the mumbling of Austin and david. She didn't hear but she had a feeling they were talking about her. Tammy wanted to do this mission for more reasons than medical supplies. She had a tank top on she changed into and her pack which was empty at the moment except water for everyone. She wore a pair of leggings she washed up a few days ago in a pond she grabbed the water from. They were bright blue digital styled colors with black and dark blue accents to them. They scouted the city. They made great time and pace. The group traveled under the cover of the towns sidewalks littered with awnings that were littered with dirt and tears and holes from not being maintained these past months. The group was probably half way through the town heading north, 'we've probably traveled a mile and a half so far.' She thought. The group was behind her about five paces she was not leading them but simply wanting to be in front. She was always an overachiever but never in studies. She laughed to herself.

They crossed a street and as they passed a gang of corpsers. Tammy halted the group and ducked down behind a toppled Ford truck. "Corpsers at our 3!" She whispered silently.

Austin kept moving among the other three, he'd allowed his pace to slow so that he was taking the rear. The man liked to be able to see everything out in front, if something happened he could see, if someone did something stupid he could see that as well. That and he wasn't sure if he trusted any of them to have his back turned for a prolonged period of time.

The man kept quiet after they'd left the mill, something he did enjoy was a bit of silence every now and again. It was like the good old days, which had been about twenty four hours ago before his life was thrown for another loop by getting caught up with a bunch of women that had ripped him from his precious gas station.

Austin had let out a tiny huff at the thought of where he was and what he was doing, almost missing what Tammy said and nearly stumbling into David and Miyuki before crouching low in reaction. Scooting close to the back end of the overturned ford truck he peered around the side to get a look, 9...11...12. "12 or so." The man said in a hushed whisper, the group of undead just had to be standing in the open, and if they decided to try and go around they'd lose time. "We make a distraction and move them out of the way. Easy enough."

@Lekar @tammynorthland @KathleneWilliams2121

Crouching down, Miyuki looks over at the group of zombies. "Hmmm, a distraction." She then starts to think and then looks over at the trees, "Can zombies climb?" She asks as she looks up at the tree tops, "Cause if not, I can climb up and lead them away, kill them and catch up with you guys." She wasn't sure that was going to work but she couldn't see anything that would be a good distraction for those things. Besides, she just stocked up on arrows so she would be able to kill them when having a chance. "What do you guys think?"

Jennifer drank the water she had purified once it had cooled down. She made a couple more pots of water, and filled them up in bottles. It was rather convenient being right next to a flowing water source. All she had to do was boil water, and it was safe to drink. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a lengthy process, and couldn't be done in a pinch. So being that she had the time now to do so, she took advantage of that. With her fire still going somewhat strong, she sat back and watched the area around her. The woods to the north of mill were quiet. It was the nature that Jennifer was used to. She missed the days of her old house and property. Many times, she would make herself one with nature. She would often go out in sit in the woods and relax. A part of her feels at home there. Jennifer decided to go back to the mill and grab her gear. She didn't like being out there without anything. Who knows what can be lurking around the corner. She got up and left the fire unattended, which she thought was a bad idea, but walking to and back from the mill isn't a long walk. Nothing should happen. Should.

Once Jennifer made her way to the mill, she noticed that Austin, Miyuki, David, and Tammy left. Please make it back in one piece, she thought to herself. Once she got inside, she heard someone walking about and doing something in the other room of the mill. She picked up her gear and walked to the sound, and found that it was Tori. Being that Jennifer had left the fire unattended, she didn't want to stick around and talk. However, she wanted to let someone know she'll be there.

"Hey, Tori," she said, leaning in the door frame, "I see you're busy, so I'll make this quick. I'll be out in the woods if you need me, right by a fire I made. I left it unattended... so got to go," she said, started to walk back towards the exit of the mill. She wanted to run back, but couldn't, due to her healing injury.

Once she made her way out into the woods, she could see the fire was starting to die. Oh well, she thought, might as well enjoy what's left of it. She found a tree and leaned against it, and watched the fire die. The woods were quiet, and a little dark. Her eyes adjusted to the low light easily. In the distance, she thought she heard something running. It was probably an animal, as to which she grabbed her rifle and looked around. A meal is a meal, and she was running low on food. So getting an animal could prove useful to her, and anyone else hungry. She looked around and listened. She could hear it getting closer, until a deer hopped out about fifteen feet in front of her. Perfect, she thought, quickly rising her gun and aiming it at the deer. With the squeeze of a trigger, her suppressed 7.62 round shot out and hit the deer in the heart, twitching before it died.

Jennifer didn't feel bad. This was survival. In this world, you hunt to live. As she got up and approached the deer, and undead ran out towards the carcass of the deer. Jennifer shouldered her weapon, and shot it. She hit the shoulder the first time, and then hit the kill spot. It, too, had dropped dead. Approaching the area cautiously, Jennifer looked around. She didn't hear anything else. Being that she didn't she dragged the deer carcass over to her fire. She found more wood, and stoked the fire to get it going again. Then, Jennifer started to cut the deer, and salvage any meat she could. Once she got the meat, she put it in the pot, and cooked it. She has blood on her hands, arms, shirt, and legs. But she didn't care at all. She was hungry, and she just got a golden opportunity to eat something other than breakfast bars. While the food cooked, Jennifer walked to the river and washed her self off. Her clothes would be difficult to wash. Her spare clothing wasn't much. It was just a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt. But being that her current ones could use a wash, she went back up to her backpack, got the spare clothes, checked the meat, and then walked back to the river. She changed into the spare clothes, and washed her other ones. There was a hole where the piece of wood lodged itself. Jennifer sighed, and continued to wash them. Though she couldn't get the clothes to get shiny and clean, she did get out most of the stuff that had been caked on in from the previous days. Fearing there could be something on her clothes from the river that could harm her, she decided to boil them once the food was done cooking. Being that she was on immunosuppressants, her immune system was suppressed. Being that it was, she had to be extra careful with things about getting sick.

Once the meat of the deer was done cooking, she ate it. While it tasted like crap, Jennifer didn't care; she became full. Jennifer couldn't remember the last time she was truly full. She savored the moment. But being that she had a lot of meat, she decided to give the rest to whoever was back at the mill once she sterilized her old clothing.

When everything had been done, and her clothes were sterilized and the fire was put out with water, Jennifer made her way back to the mill with the food in the pot. Once she got back in the mill, she her gear down and went to Tori.

"Hey, I'm back," she said to Tori. "I happened to be lucky and shoot a deer. I got a lot of meat and cooked it. Would you like some," asked Jennifer, holding the pot with the food out.

Tori hadn't really responded to Jen earlier on in the day when the woman had come in and she was half way through her plan on the room it had more been a nod in her general direction but this time when the woman came in Tori looked up and gave her, her full attention since she was now done with what she was working for. "Hey, How are you feeling?" she asked curiously. It kind of dawned on her she hadn't actually spoken to Jennifer all that much since they had got here and it felt a bit strange since there little group had been in constant company with each other for practically a full day. The smell of cooked meat hit Tori's nose before Jen could even mention it and her stomach made a sound that was close to that of a small vehicle revving up and taking off. Her eyes widened and she placed her hand over her stomach in embarrassment. "What have you got?" she murmured not even dreaming that the woman would offer her some. She would never expect her too food was so scarce, however when jen held it out to her Tori didn't have the will power to even politely say no. "Oh my gosh thank you so much!" she declared and reached out taking the food off her. She shoved a bit in her mouth and had it chewed and swallowed in a matter of seconds..and maaaan it felt good hitting her stomach. The blonde hadn't realized just how hungry she had been until now. "Oh my god im starving i do not even care this is deer it tastes amazing." The words managed to make there way out around mouthfuls of food.. "mm come in and look aorund and see what i have done" Tori gestured to the room she had fixed up.

@Jennifer Shotain

"I'm okay. The wound's healing, which is good. But it sure hurts. Just because I'm all patched up doesn't mean that I'm free of pain," she replied, putting the pot down and sitting down against a wall.

"It's venison in there. I took out a deer earlier. The thing was running from undead. I guess it didn't see me," she said with an almost cocky grin. "Back when I was younger, my dad taught me how to hunt. He used to tell me it would be important to know how to in the future one day. I never really questioned him about it. It made him happy, and gave us something to bond over. And now with this shitty world, I'm happy to say he was right on this one. Killing deer isn't too hard. It's the sneaky, stealthy aspect that is the toughest. You can be the best shot in the world, but it doesn't mean anything if you can't track and sneak up on your prey. Anyway, don't eat it all! We need to keep some for the others that are hungry."

She paused, and dropped her head and sighed.

"I really have to rely on Austin and the others to get my medication, and get back safe. I'm really counting on them big time."

Curiosity took over Jennifer, watching Tori fiddle and tinker with things.

"Say, what is that you're fiddling with there?"

@Lola Shimmer

When she had ate enough that she didn't feel like she was starving anymore Tori set the container down with a nod. Jennifer was right she ought to leave some for the others it wouldn't be fair to scoff it all herself as much as she would love too. She liked her fingers when she was done eating a huge grin on her face and she smiled over at the other woman as she began to explain about the hunting "That's pretty cool..the hunting thing i mean. They don't really hunt where i am from..only farmers are allowed to get licences for guns..and the police of course" She laughed at that and glanced around her little room proudly when Jen asked what it was. "Welp i think it was a work room i cleaned it all up cleaned up the cupboards and things..i think it will make a good supply room, I've been looking for paper so we can write down inventory of what we get" Tori explained, She leaned against one of the tables and looked over at Jen nodding "They will make it back..grumpy is far to stubborn to die" she joked trying to make the mood a bit better "It's going to be fine"

@Jennifer Shotain

(Sorry there short ive been up since 5.30 and its now 23.41)

"I guess that's the difference between America, and where you lived, which I presume was the UK," Jennifer replied to her comment about only hunters having licenses to buy firearms and hunt.

"I suppose it's a good idea to keep a list on our inventory stock. There's only so much here, and having a list would be nice."

Jennifer listened as Tori cracked a joke about Austin. She smiled, but was too nervous to laugh. She needed that mission to be a success.

"I hope so. I really do rely on them," she finished with a sigh. "Anyway, enough with the depressing subject for now. Since I've said a fair amount about myself, who were you before the apocalypse happened? Tell me about yourself."

@Lola Shimmer

"Yeah pretty much the UK, Northern Ireland if you wanna get specific..not that it ever stopped people from getting their hands on em though..i guess its like drugs that way. It might be illegal but someone always knows a guy right?" she asked with a slight smile. She nodded though a more serious expression coming onto her face when Jen said about relying on them..she knew that and to be honest Tori was worried about them all making it back too but sitting here all sad about it wouldn't do them any favor's. "Keeping a list will help us know what we are low on too and how fast we go through something so hoe much we need and all that jazz..basically help is work out how often we need tog o on runs and for what and stuff like that" She shrugged her shoulder she kinda had an idea for a system in her head but she needed to write it all down first. "I found carving knives to so ima make us some bowls and thing and i see you mastered fire soo that means we can make hot meat,.and milk for the kids" she nodded firmly to herself at that.

Tori was caught off guard by jennifer's question..no one had asked her that yet..what was she before all this? she laughed a little awkwardly to herself. She never had liked talking about herself and never had been much good at it either. She supposed it was even harder now to think that there was a before this.it all felt like some kind of strange dream now..the life before "Ah well i was big into computers" she laughed "I umm designed and developed games me and some uni mates set up a company while we were still in school" she looked down at the ground playing with a stray thread on her shirt, A pang of hurt filled her for a second but she quickly squashed it down So many late nights designing and drawing and running programs she thought amused and how goofy they would get when they had barely any sleep..heh and how happy her mum had been whens he told her they did it...they got a contract..someone wanted their game..and how prouder still she was when Tori bought her, her first proper house..cleared her date..looked after her sisters..got her own home. She smiled ruefully but it was gone when she looked back up and over to Jen "We umm had a pretty big hit...that's why i was here..PR campaign..getting it out there you know. It was called midnight dawns..stupid name but it worked" She clasped her hands together infront of her and fiddled with her thumbs. Hell she didn't even know if jen would have heard of it..it was some gory horror fighting thing..gosh she was so good at describing her own product right?

@Jennifer Shotain

Jennifer found it saddening that Tori was stuck here in the US. Most people here were at least somewhat close to their family. And most knew what happened to their family. Tori, on the other hand, had no idea. They're across an ocean, and who knows what the rest of the world was like now. Who knows if someone found a cure to this, or some effective way of stopping the dead from risking. Who knows what's going on in this world? That sad part is that no one does. Whatever was left of society was clearly a huge unknown. Who knows what happened to the government in DC? Is there even anything left there? Or New York. What happened there? It must have been disasterous with so many people packed into a relatively small area. All Jennifer knew now is what I'd happening here in Ohio, or the place she is at. The rest of the world is a whole new unknown. Who knows what happened elsewhere.

"Hm, video games. I never really played them. I was more of typical girl, though I liked to do some things that were odd for the "typical girl". I mean, I was, and still am, a country girl. That ranch in Texas will never be replaced. I'm a country girl that just so happened to move to city for unfortunate circumstances."

Jennifer sighed after speaking about her ranch back in Texas. She missed it. She missed the times when her family was a family, and things weren't rough. Ever since her brother died, it's been pretty downhill. Her life was never normal, and just hard since that. Not as hard as One Eyed's life, but definitely hard on its own. She realized that she had said a lot to people about her past. She wasn't quite sure why she did. She never really thought of herself as a as "open book," but here she was being just that to people she hasn't even known for a full 24 hours.

"I've said quite a bit about myself to you and everyone else. I mean, I've said some stuff about my past. Not everything. But yeah, I guess you know a bit about where I came from. I guess I'm not much of an unknown."

Jennifer moved the hair out of the front of her eyes.

"Would there be anything you would like to know about me?"

Tammy glanced at miyuki and thought about it for a moment. 'If we take a detour around this complex or even through it we should be good...' she noticed the corpsers were all intacted. that means they were fresh turns and recently passed on. It must have been a group of survivors. "I think these corpsers will have gear on them guys." Tammy thought about it and watched them roam. She needed to come up with a plan. There was one corpser with a set of cargo pants they looked full. Her eyes shifted glance over at a woman corpser. Almost naked? So sad she must have froze to death. There was another corpser lurking closest to the hiding spot. Tammy tucked back behind cover. "Miyuki can you land a shot with your bow on the corpser closest to the red car.." She whispered in her ear about the undead body furthest away from the horde near the back next to the car.

"Yeah video games" Tori laughed quietly at the question and pulled her legs up under herself so that they were sitting criss-cross on the bench she had decided to take up as a seat. "Typical girl huh" she asked amused at that. She had seen the way Jen could work with a gun, she most certainly wasn't a typical girl where Tori came from. But then again she came from a pretty small town where girls grew up, got married and had babies. She screwed her face up at that thought or in fact allot of them like to skip the growing up and getting married part and skip straight to popping out sprog's. The street they had grew u on was full of kids with kids..she remembered the lectures her mother used to give her and her sisters. Don't you dare end up here she would say..not like this..like me she sighed at that..her mother thought she had failed so bad at life she hadn't really Tori decided..though she hadn't thought that growing up she was always so resentful of there crappy street and crappy house and why they couldn't have expensive things. She grew out of it in her teens when she had more sense but it still plagued her with guilt sometimes.

Tori snapped back to reality when she realized she had started to drift off into thought and concentrated on the woman she was talking to once more. She smiled at the ranch comment "I have never been to a ranch. I bet it was cool..did you have like animals and stuff?" she asked. In all honesty she didn't know much about them apart from what she had seen in movies. "I would be terrible in the country..too used to living close to everything i would need..shops, restaurants that kinda thing" she shrugged her shoulder's "Besides i don't know if you've noticed i am not exactly miss wild..i would last two seconds being a country girl" Tori snickered at that before quieting down. "There is nothing wrong with telling people about yourself" She reassured and leaned back against the wall behind her "I guess i just don't like talking about it much.i just don't think we should dwell on the past to much..i think it is like a distraction..from now..from surviving..living i mean i get it can be comforting..but i dunno. Thinking back just isn't for me. Not right now" she explained..she would sometime sit down and have a real think..instead of cutting herself off as soon as the thoughts started every time but truth be told she wasn't prepared for them yet. "Ahh is there anything i want to know..umm i don't think so i mean we get along pretty well and i think you seem like a decent human being..think that's all i need to know" she smiled "Hey! you should teach me how to use my shotgun when you're feeling better though "

@Jennifer Shotain

Miyuki looks over at the red car that Tammy pointed to. "Ha easy." She says as she pulls out an arrow and aims for the zombie's neck, "Sorry." she mutters as she lets go of the arrow and it flew into the woman's neck, going through the brain stem instantly killing it. "Done." She says as she pulls another arrow to kill some more, "What plan do you have?" She askes Tammy as she aims for another zombie.

@tammynorthland @Lekar

Tammy held out her hand lowering miyukis aim. " not yet.. look." Tammy showed everyone the crowd of zombies turning around going toward the corpser that she just shot. Tammy then glanced at a lone zorpser that wasn't paying attention. "Miyuki grab the stragglers now too." She said softly to her pointing at the once male corpser in all black. David and one eye were on sight but neither of their weapons would help because the sound they create and mean while tammy had no option. Since she only had 12 shots in her pistol and a crowbar.

Tammy thought for a moment. 'I need to search the bodies for something' on this new earth everything is sacred even if the corpsers had a single bullet we would want it. "One-Eye can you move over to the right and throw a rock or something at the crowd?" She asked. One-Eye gave a sign of dissaproval but nodded. She assumed he wasn't happy to be getting an order but she knew what to do in these situations when she used to be spread thin near a crowd uou would split the herd up and pick them off one by one until the leftovers were manageable.

Holliday clutched his arm as he walked the isles of the Western wear store, his wound still hurt badly. It seemed that the it had opened up just a bit as well, since a bit of fresh blood leaked through the bandage. It had taken him forever to get rid of the horde which he drew from the other survivors, and it was certainly a very costly endeavor. He faltered for a moment and made of brief recollection of the events.

At first everything had gone well, and he outpaced the horde by quite a bit, then the road became blocked. So he backtracked and took another route, which again was blocked. By this time the horde had nearly caught up to him. With no chance to run he grabbed two buckets of ammo and exited his vehicle. He then pushed some abandoned cars into a position where the horde would have to file through them nearly one by one. Then from an elevated platform he began picking them off through the use of his ranged lever action rifle and his Ruger 10/22. He had realized too late that he ammo which he grabbed was not for his lever action rifle, but for his automatic pistols. In fact it was nearly all he had of it since he didn't reload automatic rounds as much as he did revolver rounds. "Dammit," he had thought to himself, "This is what happens when you panic!" Instead of getting any more excited, he calmed down and started taking shots with both his 1911, as he could load it's magazines faster than he could his Sig's. He shot round after round, dropping zeds with about every other shot as they were at a bit of a distance still.

The way he figured there were a good 300-400 of them. Most people would think you would have to be stupid or insane to take on that many zeds by yourself, while not stupid, Holliday was plenty of the latter. Still that hadn't been the main reason why he fought. His truck was his life line, it had way to many supplies to just leave it behind. Without it he'd be as good as dead.

After killing about 100 of the zombies with his 1911 pistol, the damn thing broke and he knew exactly which piece two. As he pulled the trigger it didn't fire once but instead let out a stream of full-auto fire, a tell tale sign of a broken disconnector. "Fuck me!" He had yelled as he'd re-hoslted the gun and then drew his Sig, a full auto pistol would be of no use. With his Sig he went back to gunning down the horde from his safe position.

The sound of the gunfire had attracted more zombies however, much to Holliday's annoyance. It took the rest of the day and the entirety of his .40 S&W supply to kill all of the remaining zombies. Towards the end he was nearly over whelmed and a few zeds managed to reach him. Though he managed to eliminate em with his twin revolvers, they tore through his clothing ruining most of it.

Once he was safe, Holliday slumped down and took a nap. The next morning he woke to seeing the ground covered with corpses and his empty brass scattered to and fro. He spent the whole day moving said piles of said bodies so he could back his tank sized truck out of the place. Once that chore was done, he made a point to pick up all of his brass. He had a good rough estimate of how much he used, and wouldn't be satisfied until he had reclaimed 97% of it. Needless to say it had taken a while.

Just as he was close to bing finished, a corpse revealed that it wasn't as dead a Holliday had hoped. It tried to bite the his outstretched arm, but Holliday was quick. He felt his arm brush the zed, but nothing else. He quickly drew his revolver and popped it in the head. As he re-holstered his weapon, he looked down to see a very slight scratch on his arm. Without hesitating he drew a clean knife from his boot and hacked at his flesh. He easily removed a good six inches of flesh that was about a half inch deep. The would had been very slight, barely reaching the capillaries, so it should have been more than enough. Knowing he's bleed profusely, he ran to his truck and found some some less gunpowder. He quickly poured some on his wound and set it alight. To say he did this without yelling or crying would have been a lie, but the wound was indeed cauterized.

It was now a full two days later, and Holliday finally got around to start resupplying. He was at the western wear store so he replace his previous outfit which had been torn to shreds, the only exception being his pants. In the end he settled for a thick western shirt, and dark brown Carhartt jacket to replace his duster, a black felt cowboy hat, and a pair of ray-ban shades which called his name. His weaponry had also changed accounting for his defunct 1911 and ammo-less Sig. This had been a hard pill for him to swallow, he'd never run out of a certain ammo type EVER in his life. It would be a long time before he would be able to reload it as well. His current weaponry included his twin six guns, his Kukri machete, his boot knife, and his .32 pocket revolver, all of which he had before. What he was different was he no longer carried his rifle as he had a hard time holding long guns with his hurt hand, he also now carried his old Remington 1858 cap and ball revolver replica. It was a change but, one he'd have to get used to.

As he left and began walking down the street towards his truck, he began thinking of the survivors he'd helped that fateful day. Not about what had happened to them, but how much he never wanted to see them again. He decided that he hated people, and that people would only get him killed. People were most likely what caused the plague and people were responsible for killing some of the one he'd loved. From now on he'd avoid others at all cost.

As he walked he came across a group of Zeds, numbering 12 in total. There was a 13 but it was dead with an arrow lodged in it's skull. He sighed and nonchalantly drew used his injured hand to draw his weak side revolver and transferred it into his strong side arm, the one which was uninjured. Using the five rounds he had loaded he made consecutive head shots. When his first revolver was empty he handed it back to his weak hand while he drew his strong side gun with his strong hand. This time only 4 out his shots landed kills. He holstered this gun and then drew his black powder revolver with was located in a shoulder holster. The gun was massive with a good 8 inch barrel and was wicked to look at, however he didn't have the time. Two of the last three zombies were nearly upon him. Not having the time to g fro a precise headshot, he shot both zeds mid torso, knowing that simple physics dictated that a .44 caliber round ball backed with 25 grains of black powered would knock and frail zed on it's ass. The sound the gun made was like thunder and the concussion it made left a pounding feeling on Holliday's chest. Fire and clouds of dirty smoke spewed from the barrel like a cannon. Because of this Holliday kept a steady pace walking forwards so the clouds wouldn't interfere with his sight picture. Holliday then blasted the farthest third zombie and offed the other two as they attempted to get up.

When he was done he swatted away the smoke, but the air around him was still hazy. As it cleared he turned his attention towards the zombie which had been dead when he arrived, and recognized the arrow as one of that belonging to the Miyuki girl. Even more, he realized it had just been killed minutes before. He looked up and quickly glanced around. Unfortunately he saw exactly who he never wanted to see again hiding just around the corner. "Oh God Dammit!!!"

Miyuki watches the gunfire as the zombies drop dead, "Wait a minute....." She says as once the gun fire lets up she peeks her head around the corner and sees Holliday standing there, gun in hand. "Love to show off, don't you?" She asks as she stands up and walks over to him, feeling happy that he didn't get himself killed, when she sees his injury and the wrapped wound on his arm, "What happened?" She asked, feeling a little worried that he might have gotten bit. She only knew him for less then a day, but she couldn't stand it if someone got hurt trying to protect them and get them out of harms way.

You know it, Holliday said giving her a bit of a smirk. He got a better look at Miyuki once the smoke cleared and noticed she hadn't changed much in the last few days. He reached up with his good arm and pulled his new shades off of his head and hung them on his Jacket's breast pocket. "And this,"He said raising up his bandaged hand. "I got bit. So I stripped off the surrounding flesh and then cauterized the wound using flaming gunpowder. It hurt like a bitch needless to say. I can use the arm to pick stuff up, but there will be no heavy lifting with it or shooting with it for a while. Its a good thing I prefer shooting pistols with only one hand.

Still considering I killed off a horde of 500 or so zombies, getting out with only this is pretty good. What hursst the most is that my 1911 is broke so now its full auto and unusable against hordes and that I'm out of my 40. caliber ammo. Seriously, Me out of ammo! That has never happened to me before." He shook his head to show his disbelief. "Anyway, how are things? And what is your game plan?" As Holliday spoke he removed the cylinder from his cap gun and replaced it with a freshly loaded and capped one. He didn't feel like reloading the other one at the moment because it was a pain in the rear. He also decided to reload his two Rugers once he was done talking.

Miyuki sighs as she hears he got bit. "Well take it easy for a while," She says as she slings her bow onto her shoulder. "Right now, we need to get pills to one of the girls that you saved, Jen. She needs them right away. David here," She says pointing to the guy in the eye patch, "Says that there is a slight chance that the helicopter he was in a few miles from here had a supply of meds, so we are going to check it out." She sighs as she looks at Holliday, "You can go back to the mill, there are others there."

"No." Holliday said immediately. The last time he had grouped up with these guys it had gone very badly for him. Still, he had to admit that the the prospects to treat his arm tempted him. "Im not exactly eager to go back, sorry. Even if I do I'm not sure I'll stay around for long. But, Ill tell you what. My truck is parked two blocks that way, hidden from view and away from the zeds. Ill take you to the chopper, but I want a portion of the supplies. Enough to treat my wound and a few additional meds, I won't get greedy because I know Skylynn just gave birth. Sound fair?"
