Realistic or Modern Zombie Apocalypse

Tammy smiled a little and chuckled. "Your right it's extremely convinienient. I have been burning alot of calories the passed few days. Baby formula is a complete nutrition so I was actually gonna drink it myself." Tammy was educated on nutrition. It was her passion. She studied sports physiology in college for a little bit before the plauge swept through. "However if you choose to not accept it. You can politely decline." Tammy did not care if she took it or not of course the woman did not know that. Her goal was to get something in return later. And since she had a little food left she would eat it alone tonight. 'The baby formula was about 3 days worth. For me, one serving.'

David smiled at the question, in honesty, he wanted to sleep. He knew that there was no time for it, though. He wiped his eye a bit.

"Yeah, I..."

He froze in his tracks, hands on his hips as he looks down at the ground, lightly shaking his head as he remembers his dream. It was like it was burned into his memory, like a brand. He could remember his crew's faces, the urgency, the emergency of the entire situation. He definitely didn't want to remember much else.

"I guess you could say that. Whatever, I've been awake longer before. Besides, if I'm sleeping, who'll take your shift if you decide to pass out?"

He looks up, a light smile on his face. He points over to the girl whittling a make-shift arrow before dropping his hand back to his side.

"Her? She looks like she'll go any minute now. No offense of course."

He walks over besides Austin, looking down at the SUV. He put his hands in his pockets. He started to speak in a softer tone.

"Listen, I don't know exactly how you feel about me yet, but I do want you to know you can trust me."

He turned his head, looking over at Austin.

"Tell me a bit about yourself, who was 'Austin' before all this went down?"

David asked as he leaned back, crossing his arms across his chest.

Austin noticed David's pause but chose to continue as if it hadn't happened. Again David brought up trust and Austin sighed, "You really are a broken record. Your way too trusting, you disarmed yourself in front of me, asked to be let into the group. Yet you didn't know a thing about us, if you'd done that to the wrong people you'd be dead." The man shook his head gently, "And you keep trying to shove this trusting you thing down my throat, it's not that easy so deal with it. If I had zero trust in you, then you wouldn't be here, or I wouldn't." Austin looked up and over his shoulder at David momentarily. "I've got my back to you don't I? No gun is pointed your direction is it? I'm not tensing up every-time you leave my line of sight...and it's just not enough for you."

"Why are you so interested in me? What we did, who we we're...before. They are only ghosts of who we are now." The questions bugged him a little. "I was a Firefighter..." Austin spoke softly and again bringing up his profession, "I chose to put others before myself, to help people. That doesn't work so well these days."

@KathleneWilliams2121 @Lekar

To be fair, Austin's question we true. David didn't even know why he was so trusting. He just had a thing for people was what he always told himself.

"'What if' scenarios are for people who don't want to face the reality they'd gotten head-on. Asking 'what if' is useless. If I did trust the wrong people, sure, I'd be dead. But at least I wouldn't die with no hope in humanity. Immediately assuming everyone's a bad person is like immediately assuming all fruits you eat are spoiled. Sometimes, chances have to be made..."

David coughed, he looked up at the stars, but this time, he didn't forget where he was. He was with people this time, and that was enough for him.

"The second we lost sight of our past is the moment we forget we have a future. Don't give up on your past self, because I can still see that in you."

David knew that this conversation was nigh-useless and pulled his pistol from his sheath. He took out the magazine and unloaded the cartridge, showing both the magazine and bullet to Austin clearly before setting them in his pocket. He showed the empty gun to him.

"I said I saw something in you: Potential. Don't prove me wrong here."

Austin turned and backed up a step before pointing the empty gun with firm hands at him.

"Disarm me."

Tori had made it only two rooms over in the mill before in all honesty she had got bored looking for the others. She knew some of them were outside but right now she really couldn't be bothered going out to get them. It wasn't until now, until all the adrenaline, the running for their lives and all the fricken drama had died down that she realized how truly exhausted she was. The woman leaned again't a wall and closed here eyes over massaging her forehead. She was starting to feel a bit light headed again and she be dammed if she fainted once more. The title of sleepy after the first time was more than enough, God knows what she would get called for twice and in the same day too. Heck no!. Tori opened her eyes and lofted her head examining the room she was in. It looked like some kind of repair shop, old bits of wood and wood shaving lay all over the floor. There were a few sturdy looking work benches about too hmm they could be good for barricading the door later she decided. She figured this is probably where they worked to do repairs on the mill if need be "mm i wonder..." The blonde hummed to herself and started to hock around the room and in the cupboards.

She was only a few moments into her search when a wide grin spread across her face and she snatched up the treasure that was before her. A radio..hell it was old..and probably not even working but she could take it apart and have a look who knows she might be able to get bits and pieces to repair it with..if there was a signal out there she was willing to try and find it. Even if she wouldn't be able to find any news about what was going on in this hell hole of a world she would sure be glad of music anything..well what were the chances of a station even still running? and just like that her bubble burst.. "that..was..stupid" she muttered to herself. As if..yeah hey this is the Z station rocking and rolling through this apocalyptic mess. Tori started to giggle at the little monologue she had going on in her head before she stopped herself short..she was standing in an empty room laughing with a broken radio...yeah time to put a big lid on that crazy. Still she looked around some more until she found a bag of some sort and shoved the radio in it and slung the bag over her back along with the shotgun. Who knows she would think of something to use it for.

Tori continued on her search of the room while not really looking for anything in particular whens eh came across a small tin box. It wasn't all that big about the size of an average lunchbox and she picked up giving it a shake to hear a satisfying metal jangle from in side. Walking over to one of the tables and setting it down she began to pry it open curiously. Inside was a screwdriver some sort of small travel torch, Two small knives with a thing blade and a hunk of wood that someone had been fashioning into a rocking horse "Heh sweet , treasure" she mused and closed the box up shoving that in her new bag too. Who knows when they could come in useful and she figured she would have more luck wielding a knife than a gun anyways. A further search of the room didn't reveal her any more booty for the day and she figured her luck was probably done. Tori turned on her heel and headed out of the room and out the main door to tell the others of the room she had found, it seemed like a pretty wasy room to defend too soo perhas the best place to sleep she decided as she walked.

When the cold air hit her Tori shivered, she had forgotten she had taken off her zip up to put under Tiff as a pillow..and man it was cold out here. eww she scrunched her face up at that..with a glance toward the SUV it was clear they weren't in there and as soon as that thought entered her head she heard the voices above her..the roof..seriously? what was it with grumpy and roofs? and now he had a whole club going. She took a few long strides until she was far enough out that she could look up at the three on the roof of the mill with ease. "You guys on a date up there or what? Zombies isn't enough for you y'all gotta get your thrills from possibly falling off buildings too?" Tori asked with a snicker.

@Crono @Lekar @KathleneWilliams2121

"Your a fool if you willing to trust that easily, it's dangerous. Counting those What if scenario's can do more good than you give credit." There was a light grunt as Austin stood up and turned to look at David, "You trust the wrong people and you might you get yourself killed. But you can trust the wrong person and get other people killed. I don't assume people are bad, I do assume that they are willing to do bad things to survive. And I don't plan on being on the other end of that." The conversation was going to deep into a topic that Austin wanted to avoid. So his initial plan was to leave and let David have that shift he so wanted, but the other man had other plans.

Austin groaned with David blocking his path and while David had shown the gun had no ammo, having a gun pointed at him was uncomfortable and he did in fact uncontrollably tense. "This is stupid..." He half-mumbled, looking away briefly down to Tori. "We can't get the chomp up here now can we?" But Austin knew he wasn't likely getting around David to get off the damned roof. So he took two large steps forwards after he spoke and stretched his upper body forwards, maybe David's guard would be off-put by the conversation or maybe not, his hand went quickly in an attempt snatch the gun out of David's hand as if it was a fly.

David saw that coming from a mile away, but did lose some footing, he jerked a bit and caught his arm, pulling it over his shoulder and behind him before shoving the end of the gun into his back. He did this all swiftly and with caution so he doesn't hurt Austin.

"Bang. You're dead."

David said firmly. He let go of Austin, rearmed his weapon, and holstered it. He was pretty astonished that he'd go for a surprise attempt instead of a direct one, but also pretty shocked. He thought that Austin would definitely go for a more direct, stronger way of disarming. Seeing this man's unpredictability, he really did see some really strong potential; maybe even more than he did before.

"That was nice though, I will admit you caught me a bit off-guard. If you want to give that a try some other time, tell me. You have some really great strengths, I'd love to see you get to your peak with some training."

He took a step back, readjusting his shirt's sleeves as he rolls them back up.

"And no, that's not flattery, that's legitimate critique. I highly suggest that you take up my offer, because the next time this scenario happens, I might not be the one holding the gun, and in that case, the gun will most definitely be loaded."

He could see that Austin didn't like the idea, but he did want to hear an actual answer. David let him passed without issue, taking up his dedicated spot for the night shift.

Tori titled her head to the side feeling her hair fall over her shoulder as she watched the pair of them on the rooftop curiously. She raised an eyebrow when Austin went for the disarm and crossed her arms over her chest waiting to see how this would play out. It wasn't a great view from down here but still she could see the gist of what it was they were doing, She shook her head..eugh boy's they gotta be so macho. She scoffed to herself and started to laugh again before stopping. Yesh she really needed to stop that..needed to get some sleep she was going lala from all this awake time. "Ah well captain army and grumpy" she saluted "If you guy's are all done with your flirting i found some stuff that would make a good barricade for the door..found as pretty secure room too..if anyone would like to reward me with foood weeeeel" she shrugged her shoulders "Let us just say i am no opposed to being paid ok?" she teased. "Also on a second note does anyone have any idea where there might be something i can use for a damn blanket..a passed out pregnant lady is kinda sleeping on my jacket." Tori rocked back and forth on her heels regarding the pair of them. She reached a hand up and scratched the back of her head..it was getting pretty dark huh. She tilted her head back and looked up at the stars that were starting to break out in the sky and a slight smile curved her lips. At least there was still some nice things to look at.

"Seriously thought i did find a pretty neat room, had a radio and everything in it..i mean its broke but i've built more complicated thing's than a radio so im pretty sure i can fix it" she explained and jingled her backpack as if to prove what she was saying. She watched as david moved to let Austin stand aside, Pfft captain Rambo was a strange one she decided a little bit to army. Oh well to each there own she thought. She didn't mention the weapons she found just yet cause simply if it did come down to a fight between them and the two newbies it might be good to be able to catch them off gaurd with something. She made a mental note to annoy grumpy at some point tomorrow to help her improve some combat skills. She would ask Jen too when she was feeling better. Tori's eyes widened when she quickly remembered the water she had left from earlier and she pulled it out of her pocket and offered what was left to the two men..eh shehad been kinda greedy keeping it to herself. "Any of you want a drink?"

@Crono @Lekar

Miyuki watches over the two guys as they were talking and David was "teaching" Austin a lesson. "You have an odd way of teaching people to prove your point. He was a firefighter, trained to save people's lives......you were trained to kill..." Miyuki states out loud, the last bit to herself as she didn't want to start too much of a fight. She didn't know what to think of the both of them; David, in her eyes, was smart and fast and trained well but the was he talked was almost like he was too cocky of himself and what his opponents would do. He did seem somewhat loyal but then again, you can't trust anyone. Austin to her was a loner, it seems that he would rather be by himself rather then a group but he also smart, and fast. She sighs as she finishes the arrow she was working on and continues to make others. She looks up and sees the girl she gave water too. She smiled as she heard what she did for Tiffany, 'That was nice of her....perhaps there is still hope....' She then sees her offer the boys the water, "Isn't that the bottle I gave you?" She asks as she watches the three of them, trying not to intrude. "I'm not trying to sound rude...I'm just asking." She said defensively as she didn't want to cause trouble.

@Crono @Lekar @Lola Shimmer

To be fair Austin didn't expect to disarm David, the man had shown that he had training and knew a thing or two. And maybe, just maybe if Austin had gone with brute force he might have been able to. But it was a test and Austin didn't particularly want to hurt the other man. Not to mention it felt a bit silly and cliche, Austin also ignored Tori's second attempt at putting some sort of title on what they we're doing. And again David brought up training, such an odd term these days, and while he could tell that the other man meant nothing of it. Austin couldn't help but feel a bit undermined by it, like he wasn't good enough or something.

Austin had done fine on his own these last few months, he'd survived, and that was enough. "You told me to try, I tried." He said to David as he moved past the man and started lowering himself down but stopped momentarily and looked at Miyuki, "You two gonna be alright out here by yourselves?" Of course the question was more for the girl and if she was comfortable enough with David, not that Austin had too much room to talk since the two men had both met her within the same twenty minutes. But the circumstanced had in fact been different.

@Lola Shimmer @KathleneWilliams2121 @Lekar

Miyuki nods over at Austin, "Ya we should be ok." She personally didn't like it but she decided to give David a chance. After all, it's better for her life to be at risk just in case of something happening. "You go have fun with your girlfriend." Miyuki also stated, smiling a bit. She looks to the woods, for just in case someone, or something would come out of them. She watches Austin lower himself down to the ground and it was just the two of them on the roof top.

@Lekar @Crono

David give him a passive wave as he disappeared down the stairs. He returned his gaze out into the open, looking out into the woods and at the road. He had done many stake-outs and watch shifts, so this wasn't anything he wasn't accustomed to. He stood there silently, enjoying the nice, cold air as thoughts raced through his head. He looked over at the girl whittling arrows silently.

"What about you? You have a name?"

He asked quietly, surveying his craftsmanship. She had a fine hand at creating arrows. She really looked like she knew what she was doing and seemed very intent at doing it with proficiency.

"How long have you been shooting a bow? Your whittling is fantastic. You look like you've been making arrows far longer than a few months."

Honestly, David did fire a bow a couple times. He used it during hunting rarely, but he had never actually made his own arrows.

@KathleneWilliams2121

Miyuki looks up at David and hears his compliments, "My name is Miyuki and thank you. I have been shooting a bow for about 10 maybe 11 years." she says as she turns back to her arrowhead, sharpening it more, "You learn how to do so when you run out of arrows. Just like bullets, they aren't easy to find, but with an arrow the advantage is that you can make your own if you practice enough." She states as she looks back over at David, "What about you? How long were you in the military?"

@Lekar

He laughs, it was true what she said about arrows having an advantage over bullets, but to each their own.

"Well, Miyuki, I served for 14 years, most of it spent stationed in Afghanistan until... things happened. I was a Captain of my own squad for about 4 of those years, we were like a family. We did everything together for that point on until we got into some serious trouble. After, I was given an honorable discharge, and we never saw each other after that. A year later, day one of this mess, I was called in for my previous service to lead a Zombie Reaction Squad; a ZRS. We were to protect the living and contain the outbreak..."

He looks down, remembering the first day when they tried to actually contain the mess.

"But the dead can't be contained. They overtook the defenses in less then 72 hours, it spread and we were called out for securing a bombing perimeter."

He chuckled, realizing how ridiculous the orders were when this started.

"As you can see, it didn't really work out."

"Wasn't your fault. No one knew the extent of it.....I didn't know the extent of it....." I say as I remember one of the people I met up with. "I met up with a person and we were a team, defending one another. One day, she got bit and we thought it was just that, a wound. It wasn't until she got really sick to the point she couldn't move. She went from being my friend one day.............to a monster who was to eat me if I didn't wake up in time." She sighs as she recalls that event. She sighs, not really sure why she is telling this story but she figured if David was kind enough to say what happened to him, might as well say her bit, even thought it was just a tiny bit. She continues to scrape the rock to make the edges as sharp as possible.

"And you have fun with your boyfriend then." He shot back with an amused look before dropping down fully and wiping his hands off and looking at Tori. "It seems like some of us might be sleeping outside, right by the door. But it may still be a good idea to barricade it..." Austin looked towards the front door to the place, "Was there another entrance? Back door maybe?" With whoever was on watch being just above the door and the SUV not far it didn't seem necessary to barricade it, but if those inside felt safer with it that way he wouldn't argue.

They stood long enough to hear both Miyuki and David talk for a bit, everyone had a sad story these days. That was probably the saddest part of all.

@Lola Shimmer @Lekar @KathleneWilliams2121

"I suppose so," replied Jennifer to Doc, "but I still feel as if I owe you for it."

"Oh shit," Jennifer suddenly remembered. "I'll be back, Aidan, I left something in the car we came in."

Jennifer forgot that her backpack fell over on the way here, and some supplies fell out of it, namely food and her medicine. Jennifer walked out towards the car. It was in front of the SUV that seemed to have some people around it. Jennifer saw Tori there, along with One Eyed and one of the girls that was here when she got to the mill, which she believes her name to be Miyuki. Once she got to the car, she saw on the floor in the rear of the car her medicine and some small snacks. She picked them up, and remembered it was time to take more pills. Taking the snack, a granola bar, out of the wrapper, and taking her medicine out of the bottle, she took a bite of the granola bar, and took her medicine.

Approximately five days left of my medicine before I die, unless someone gets it.

Jennifer was relying on the supply run to get her medication. She was quite literally dead without it. But in her state she is in now, whoever goes on the supply run will have to find whatever medicine they have for her.

Jennifer almost forgot about the pain she had while thinking of the medicine she needs her friends to find on the supply run. It's odd, Jennifer considers some of these people friends. They've already been through one hell of a day together, and she has grown quite fond of them. She hopes they can all stay together and start a group. Hell, even one day they can maybe start a community, and fortify some small block of houses. It was a hope that was plausible, yet easier said than done. But Jennifer didn't want to get to ahead of herself, so she pushed that thought into the back of her head and started to think about the present.

Knowing that Austin was most likely going to be the one who would lead whoever goes with him on the scavenging mission, she wanted to talk to him about the medicine she would need before she decided to call it a night, and get her desperately needed sleep. Knowing Austin was around the group not too far from her, she decided to ask them where he was.

"Hey, everyone," she as she walked towards them in a low, almost soothing voice. "Have you guys seen Austin? I need to talk to him about the medicine I need him to get me when he goes out on a scavenging run in the next day or two. If he's sleeping, then I'll just let him be."

@KathleneWilliams2121, @Lekar, @Mica, @Aryn Harris, @Lola Shimmer, @Crono

"Nah, I'll go look around if you're tired. I'll bring you back a blanket if I find anything," if Doc had given birth today, it would have been better for her to finally get some rest. Aidan felt awkward making the other small group do things anyway.

When Jennifer came by, Aidan could swear she had been crying recently. Her eyes looked slightly red and watery but Aidan didn't know if asking whether or not something had been wrong would have been appropriate. "Sure it's been a crazy day but I'm kinda glad it happened," she was incredibly tempted to go ahead and ask, "I never thought I'd find people that I didn't feel like running away from." And with that the moment was gone. Perhaps she could press later when whatever had upset her wasn't so raw and fresh in her mind.

Regardless the arrival of Tammy instantly put Aidan on edge again. She almost went to grab her gun again. It was fairly easy to calm down this time though. Without One-eye, Tammy was considerably less threatening. At the sight of the baby formula, Aidan's mouth began to water, or it would have had she not been slightly dehydrated. How in the world did this girl find the formula. Considering the fact it was milk that took forever to expire it would have been considered a novelty. The girl seemed to just been filled with handy little knickknacks. She thought the doctor as wise to not take the formula at the moment though. "Can't you just taste a little and show that it hasn't been poisoned," Aidan understood it was unlikely that she would get any but she still felt that Doc should have it just in case, "She does have a perfectly valid concern."

Still thinking with her stomach, Aidan almost missed the fact that Jennifer had been heading off to do something, "Alright then, see you soon."

As she said this and watched her leave, she quickly realized she was left with none of her previous crew inside the building. Aidan had half a mind to excuse herself but convinced herself otherwise. Jennifer would be back and Doc definitely didn't seem like the type of person to try to hurt her. As for Tammy, Aidan was confident enough with her own skills to handle being uncomfortable for a couple minutes. Who knows, it might even turn out that the girl wasn't so bad.

@tammynorthland @Jennifer Shotain @Aryn Harris

"Sorry, that was probably too much," Miyuki says as she tied the arrowhead to the stick and adjusted the feathers at the end as her ears twitch with someone calling up to them. She looks over and sees Jen on the ground talking up to them, "Jen right?" She asks as she looks down at the girl who Skylynn worked on. "Aren't you suppose to be resting, you know after what happened? As for Austin, I don't know where he is he left a couple of minutes ago.....wait why do you need pills?" She asks as she became curious as to why would a healthy looking woman needs pills.

@Jennifer Shotain @Lekar

Tammy glance back next to her was another woman. She noticed the offering tammy pulled out. 'Poisoned?' She thought. Her mind turned spur and she regretted giving out her commodity. "If you don't want it that's fine, I'll keep it. And as for me poisoning my own food supply.?" Tammy chuckled. "I found that in my apartment complex before I went on the move I've been saving it since my other food had perishable dates."

Tammy heard a boom. She jolted up and looked out the window her bed sat by. She didn't know what it was but it might have been a car or bomb? Tammy got out of bed and went to her kitchen. She had been locked up inside her room for almost a month. She ran out of food. Her bookcase was pushed in front her front door while door was locked. No way anyone was getting in. Her apartment was shaped like an l. The kitchen and living room being the vertices part and the horozontal was her bedroom and bathroom. Windows let in sunlight and she was on the 2 floor. Her complex was a 5 minute walk from the school she went to so no need for a car and she lived next to everything else rideable by bike or her friends could take her. Tammy opened her fridge. 'Nothing left.' Tammy went to the bathtub. Half full. Before the water was shut off tammy plugged the drain to the sink and bathtub. And filled them up for a guarentee clean water supply. She then reused all her bottles to contain it and whatever was left would sit there. It wasn't moldy yet but it probably would be if she didn't keep air circulating through. She established her supplies, which wasn't alot anymore, and realized she might have to leave the apartment. Preparing for the worst she geared up into some clothes that would be hard for corpsers to grab onto. She studied them and how they operated from her window day in and day out. She debated on going out..."I have no choice now." Tammy said she was out of food and she had to eat. Tammy knew the apartments all were easy access points for food supplies so she would start there.

Moving the bookshelf she grabbed her house key and looked out the peephole ..nothing... she opened it so slowly no noise was made. As she peered outside the complex looked as if it was never touched at least in her hallway. She creeper to the next door neighbor and went for the handle. Locked. 'Shit' she checked around the same floor until she heard the handle rotate fully and open and opened it. "Success" shewhispered. She began to clear out the apartment. It was empty the family probably abandon it. They had a son because the room was decked out in baby boy stuff. She searched the cupboards and closets.

"Whoever they were they left in a hu-" she paused opening the door to the cupboard. At least 10 boxes of food and even some baby stuff. Baby formula...

Tammy winked " if you don't use it someone else will!" She backed off a bit and stood back up. " is it OK if I can go grab a room to sleep in you two?" Tammy said starting to back up.

"Yes, it's Jennifer, but you can call me Jen. Either or works," she said, giving the girl a quick smile. "And as for the pills, they are immunosuppressants."

Jennifer leaned against the car, knowing she would need to explain what happened to her, and being that she was in pain, it felt better to lean up against something.

"Two years ago, I contracted an echovirus. This, in turn, caused myocarditis. And because of that, I needed to get a donor heart. The immunosuppressants stop my immune system from attacking and killing my donor heart. For as smart as the immune system is, it cannot tell the difference between an invading, harmful bacterium and a life saving donor heart. Without the medication, I will die. I'm down to about five days worth of it. Before your friend showed up and saved our asses, Austin, Tori, Aidan, Echo, and I were planning on going out to go find them on a scavenging run. But then undead and your friend showed up. And here we are now. I assumed that Austin was going to take some people out to get supplies either tomorrow or the day after. I just wanted to check up and see if he was still planning on doing so."

Jennifer breathed a sharp breath, as the pain shot into her side again.

"Shit. I'd love to talk more, but I need to go inside and rest, like Doc asked me to. Just tell Austin to come by and talk to me when you see him next. I need to go rest and let my injury heal," she said, before clutching her side and walking back towards the mill.

Once inside, she saw Aidan, Tammy, and Doc.

"It's me," she said to them, alerting them that she had entered the mill once again.

She saw they were on a discussion and decided that she should lie down for now. She found a spot in the mill where it was rather empty. She took her backpack there, took out her rolled up mini pillow she kept with her, and lied down. She couldn't necessarily sleep at the moment, so decided to check her inventory. Her ammunition was getting low. She needs more. And she also needs a secondary weapon, something a bit smaller and that has common ammunition. Her current gun shoots a large round (that isn't too common, yet not uncommon), let alone weighs a lot itself. She planned on looking for one next time she went out scavenging. She also noticed she was low on water, which she was thirsty herself.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt, but do any of you have some water I can have," she asked Aidan, Tammy, and Doc.

David appreciated Miyuki's story, he took a long, hard look into the forest, contemplating why people like her had to be stuck in a world like this. Honestly, not every human deserves this hell, he probably wouldn't wish this on worst enemy.

"I'm sorry about your friend, I've seen a couple of my own guys who tried hiding a bite or didn't even notice turn on me, so I know how you feel..."

David was caught in deep thought when Jennifer, or Jen as she preferred, came out, asking for pills. David was curious until she said they were immunosuppressants, he was a bit shocked. She looked like she was in the peak of health. His shock subsided to concern when she mentioned she only had five days left. The thought about this for a moment before remembering something. He ran after Jen, talking to her softly when he got close to her.

"Hey, Jen, I overheard that obviously. I can't just sit idly without saying this, but there's some immunosuppressants on the helicopter that I was in. Assuming it hasn't been picked clean, although it's been there for a couple weeks, we could go take a look. There's plenty of first-aid supplies and other goodies on that bird. If I can gather up maybe Austin and someone else, we can all get going by morning to search."

He rubbed his chin, it was a bit of a long-shot, but he was willing to take the chance. It wasn't that far of a walk there, and it should only take a couple hours for a small group of three to search it all.

Aidan couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the wink. The girl was certainly quirky but Aidan wasn't all too fond of her yet. On the other hand, Tammy did seem to be telling the truth,"All I was asking was for you to dip a finger in as a precaution." If the doctor wasn't taking the formula, Aidan definitely wanted it.

"Sure if you want, I might be wandering around the rooms later though. Wanted to see if there were blankets or fabrics we could sleep with somewhere," she notified Tammy, not wanting to startle her if she was sneaking around the rooms searching.

From the corner of her eyes, Aidan could see that Jennifer had returned. She gave her a small smile as confirmation that she had in fact spotted her come in. She had to shake her head at the request for water. These days she was nearly always only just making it for her required water intake. This probably would have been less of a problem if she had carried around a canteen or water bottle she could fill up but she hadn't trusted most water sources.

Miyuki watches David go over to Jen, leaving her all by herself, "Um....ok...then I will stay up here.' She says to herself quietly. She lies back against the angled roof as she waits for someone to come up. She keeps her eyes open as she just relaxes. She starts thinking about the city they just came from. 'There are still supplies there.....maybe I can talk to Austin about taking me. I'm fast and I can get in and out of places the best.' She looks up at the sky, 'how can the stars look so peaceful with the land being utter hell.' She then starts to think about the others she just met. They were all nice, well mostly. She hasn't really interacted with a lot of people until today. She sighs as she looks up at the sky some more.

Jennifer propped up when she heard what One Eyed said.

"How much are 'some' immunosuppressants," she questioned, getting somewhat excited to the prospect of it.

She thought it was rather strange how the downed helicopter had them. But hell, she doesn't care. She needs them to live. For as shitty as the world might be now, she wants to still live and fight on longer. Dying because she doesn't have the medicine she needs isn't the way she wants to go out.

"Going to either there or a pharmacy is a risk. Either they have it, or they don't. And I need these to live. Some are better than none. But once they run out, I'll need to get more, and look at pharmacies elsewhere. I'd like to go with you, but due to an injury, I'm currently sidelined."

She brushed her hair out of her eyes and thought.

"It might work, but it depends on the risk factor, I suppose. How much is there, or could be there, and how much danger is in your way. I say either searching that wreckage or the pharmacies around here, or both, are both logical plans. You'll have to talk to Austin about it. I can't go. He would be the person to ask. I'm good with either searching that or pharmacies around here. I just need those damn pills."

Jennifer hated how her life now depends on the medicine on top of regular things like food, water, not getting bit.

"And, I just wanted to apologize about how I went off on you earlier. You seem like a good person who wants to help. You deserve a chance to all gain our trust. But, again, I just wanted to apologize about shouting at you earlier and making things personal. I didn't mean to. It's been a really long, hard, and painful day. I do hope you accept my apology. I am sorry for being, for lack of a better word, a bitch."

Jennifer thought that One Eyed was really a good man, just caught on the bad side of our trust, or rather the unknown side of it. She felt that is Austin trusted him after a scavenging mission, and he gets her the medicine she needs, that she will trust him.

"Go talk to Austin about it. Whatever you decide to do, let me know. And either way, tell Austin I need to talk to him about what the medicine is like he'll need to look for, in case he doesn't know what it is, before he decides to go out with whomever he takes. And thank you, David, right?"
