Fantasy When Olympus Burns

Blue
Blue raises his eyebrow once Alexios gathers within his army and prepares to pounce on Blue. Blue didn't reach for his bow yet, he'd only do so when Alexios charges. "Hm, well don't you look pretty. It's a shame you're giving me even more reason to say things. I mean, you can't handle a few words without losing your shit completely. I can only imagine what our enemies will do or say. Are you sure you're in a worthy position for Alpha? It's kind of funny you know, we have a shit Alpha and a Gamma who needs a therapist more than a rank up." Blue didn't even care anymore, Alexios could charge if he wanted to. At that moment, Mason came in and trapped Alexios. "Wow, I told you guys the world is always on my side, how convenient! I guess you get your wish Emil!" Blue wraps his arm around Ruina's shoulder again and turns towards the docks. "Well you can have fun with that Mason, I'm leaving before he starts making Alexios smash one liners! I'm sure you can handle yourself, you do have a balanced breakfast everyday after all."

Blue turns towards Ruina and flashes a small grin. "What do you say, my beautiful accomplice? Shall we go to the docks?"

Alexios in his Armor of Madness hears only slight things, its not that he can't hear but more the armor limits what his brain can hear and comprehend after all thinking is something that goes when his armor takes over, however without hearing Alexios could tell that Blue was just continuously insulting him and it just drove his anger more and more. He could hear another person heading over to them he wasn't sure who but judging by what was happening he could tell.

Why...why do people keep getting in his way three fights he had tried to start and so far he would have none all because people kept interrupting him first his fight with Elizabeth and declined and instead he was told to fight Jayden then Umeko gets involved in that fight and stops that from happening but this...well this is just the topping on the cake. Just as he was about to attack he could feel something touch him that forced his body, no his armor to not be able to move Alexios knew who it was Mason. As the circle of molten rock formed around Alexios he didn't move didn't even react if anything it just annoyed him more.

Alexios stood directly still his Madness was stuck only to killer and survival instinct and it didn't fight this a threat so it didn't feel the need to react just yet. It didn't take long for Mason to continue increasing the weight and density of his armor. Alexios already had one hand on the floor as crunching could be heard fact is that one hand was holding up most his armors weight right now mostly since Alexios wasn't trying to stand right now. He was just staying crouched angry, he didn't know why people felt the need to involved themselves in Alexios fight first it was with Jayden who insulted Alexios then with Blue who also insulted Alexios why wouldn't they just let him fight let him have his vengeance the way he knows best. "You are right you can stop my body from moving in the armor" Alexios spoke while like this his voice was disorientated it didn't sound like him at all, to say the least it sounded unnatural.

Alexios suddenly seemed to clam down his armor vanishing, see the necklace was good for that the second he fought against his rage even slightly he had a good chance to revert back to his human unarmored form. Thanks to this Mason's hold over him broke and in that second Alexios spun round with his fist up. "No talking Blue dies if you get in my way you'll just be another casualty along the way." Alexios said it was clear he was still angry as the darkness still was emanating from his body, he attempted to get a well placed punch at Mason's nose.

Sickness set in Elizabeth's stomach as she listened to Blue go on and on. Kristov's snickers did not go missed by her and she knew matters would only get worse. Demon made a point, she should go get them, "My job is to keep us together, not inhibit our desires. If Finnegan would like to interrupt them, only then will I intervene. Free will is more important, right? I shouldn't exercise mine over theirs." Elizabeth kept her eyes on them. She knew it was going to get worse... and as Blue's words set in Alexios' mind... it got worse. Emil's attempt would surely be lost on them both. Alexios had changed, and now only Blue could stop him...
Mason's conversation approaches relaxed Elizabeth's tension a bit. She looked towards the two, but refocused herself on Alexios. If they noticed, they would have known at least she was always listening even if she didn't respond. But maybe it was good she didn't. He took it upon himself to stop Alexios, or at least get involved. It appeared to be working well. If she remembered correctly, Mason could increase Alexios' armor density, and with his armor being his body practically... it might slow him down.. Her hands slowly molded around their respective handles.
Quick footsteps caught Liz's attention and she realized soon after Umeko was leaving. We had plenty of time so they thought so she didn't fault Umeko and considering the girl it would be valuable later. tap tap taps followed by a signature Kuu that brought more happiness in Liz knowing Kristov would take care of her. And there went Blue, more antagonizing. It was marvelous really, his ability to find snide humor in everything.

FINNEGAN BROWN
Finnegan waited patiently until Umeko finished reading out the mission prompt. He stood beside her with his arms crossed, paying attention, and evaluating the reactions of his peers at the same time. A mission of this stature hadn't taken place in quite a while, but he had confidence that the group would do well; even though he wouldn't admit it out loud. He realised that he wasn't in any of the three squads, so decided to co-ordinate the mission as and when necessary.

Once Umeko had finished, she looked to him to take the floor. Finnegan drew a deep breath before he spoke. "This isn't a drill, so you all better take this seriously and try not to mess up. Make sure that you have enough supplies to last you through, but travel light," He paused. He didn't find the necessity to specify that, but it was his duty to remind them all. "The usual instructions apply. If anything goes wrong, don't hesitate. And under no circumstance are you to attract attention to yourselves. This includes squabbling," He glanced at his peers, "I realise that certain people here will not be very happy with their group. But please. Try to kill other after you succeed this mission? Alright? That is all."

~~~
Finnegan loaded the last of his poisoned needles into a small case. He was fully prepped, yet carried no bag what so ever. Everything he needed was concealed within his coat-- A gift from the past. Once he was all set, he decided to go in search of Umeko to cross check and verify the minute details in the mission. He tried to recall where she would be heading at the moment and decided to try the docks. Luck had his way and he bumped into her on the way. "Umeko," He called as he approached her.
"Do you have a second?"
Blue's words had Kristov DYING! Especially the part about harambe. God, that was a hilarious tragedy. "Nooooo!!! He did not bring up the shirt noooo!!" Kristov had to wipe tears from his eyes. Once he started to compose himself he heard light rapping on the grounds. Without hesitation he ditched the boat and joined Jen's side. He rested his palms gently on her shoulders. "Well well hello there gorgeous. Here, let me help you our the boat." As he guided them to the second raft, Finnegan's voice blared and by "drill" Kristov stopped listening, focusing more on the gentle hissing emanating from Jen. He remember when he tried to play with one of her snakes before.... he would say it went well, others would say medical treatment and a potential restraining order would say otherwise. "I imagine these scenes often, you leaning on me through the night sky- a gentle smooth boat ride under the stars... do you like amorous, sentimental boat rides, Jen?"
Ruina had watched all of it unfold in silence. The smile was now gone from her face, and a blank expression not unlike the one Psi always wears had taken it's place. Her eyes still seemed to smile however, and she still had cheerfulness to her that was almost contagious. She decided to stop smiling once Blue had rubbed her cheeks. Her elder siblings had taught her to always smile and never to voice complaint, even when it hurt. But she supposed it was okay for now.
What was not okay, was the fact that everyone was unhappy. Gamma wanted to fight, but he was stopped every time. Kappa wanted Gamma to calm down, and trapped him in a dome. And she was certain that Blue wanted to fight Gamma, even though he asked her if they should go to docks. While she didn't understand half of what he said, it sounded like a challenge. Ruina was very considerate of others, and was always willing to help people get what they wanted.
So of course she would help her friend fight to the death with a powerful opponent. There was sure to be lots of destruction involved, so that was a plus. It was settled then, she would help Blue since he was her friend. "You wanna fight, Gamma, right?" She asked him, pointing at the dome of molten rock. "I'll help!" She exclaimed, the excitement evident in her voice.
"If you're offering then sure, he won't cool off until he fights me anyways." Blue faces the dome and gestures for Ruina to take it down. "Can't wait to kick Gamma's ass anyways. I don't know if I'll get his rank for it but bursting his confidence will be good enough for me." Blue holds his bow and prepares his cheeky grin for Alexios to see once the dome is taken down. "This is gonna be good. Quick, but good." ( Verdas Verdas )
Only a couple of steps away from the courtyard, Fia let out a shaky sigh; the conversation had been productive but had done little to set her at ease - hells, it could have done the opposite. She let her pace slow down; now Fia was slowly meandering through the edges of the courtyard. A few of the others were still there when she arrived. There were a couple of moments of hesitation, as she listened to Blue and Ruina plot the downfall of Gamma, before the child of Lycaon approached them. She wasn't sure what to say at this point; her original plan had been to go with them down to the docks but their topic of discussion had Fia uneasy. They'd all gotten to know each other for five years, had a hierarchy established for them by a being of tremendous power; the first mission hadn't even begun and they were all starting to turn on each other.
Fia let silence exist for a few precious moments before she spoke, her voice quieter than normal, "I assume everyone went to the docks, are you guys going to head down there as well? I'd really appreciate it if one of you caught me up with everything as I head down there."
Ariane saw how Mason, without any word of reason or excuse left her side. So he did hate her. Ariane knew it from the start, it had been naive to think somebody actually liked her. Alone and sad, the girl walked to the docks, where she saw the water run against the stone walls and the boats. That sparked her mind with an idea. If she was to jump into that water, maybe nobody would notice... Most likely nobody would miss her anyways. She approached the edge of the wall with small steps, as unsuspicious as she could. When she had reached the edge, she looked down, around a last time and took another step, dropping into the cold water of the docks.
FINNEGAN BROWN
Just as Finn engaged in a conversation, he saw Ariane storming past him. He paid her no heed. That is, until he heard a splash from the docks. Finnegan sighed, "Hold that thought," He said as he made his way to the edge of the dock and peered inside the water. As he suspected, Ariane had jumped in.
Just when you think humanity has hopes to survive, an idiot jumps into water to drown herself.
"......" He waited with his arms crossed for her to resurface. Why didn't he act, you may ask.
Simple. The spot that Ariane jumped into was hardly 5 feet deep. She picked the perfect spot to dive into.
Ariane realized she had maybe not picked the best spot, resurfacing and then, without hesitation, walking forwards towards the deeper parts. She started humming a sad little tune, as she fought her way through the water, holding onto her scythe tightly. She used it to get better opportunity to push forward, the stream pushing against her towards the docks. But she was determined and fought as hard as she could, making small progress at time, but making progress.
The blaring alarms had roused Avice from her sleep and she would have immediately gone to the courtyard. However, on her way to dress herself, she managed to nudge the Newton's cradle on her commode. The resulting sound had her halting in her tracks. On the second clack, she slowly turned on her heel, gaze falling on the device just in time to watch one of the spheres on the end strike the adjacent stationary one ...
And just like that, Avice found herself lost in the swinging spheres. Only when the spheres came to a stop did Avice realise that she wasted precious time, crouched in front of her commode, watching the fucking Newton's cradle for gods know how long. She scolded herself mentally while she stood up, immediately resuming in what she should have been doing.
Skipping the shower she planned, she just slipped on her usual training clothes. A pair of padded utility pants, a skin-tight, long-sleeved shirt and lace-up boots. On her way out of her assigned living space, she grabbed the reinforced jacket and tied it around her waist. She didn't exactly know what the fuss was, but it would be better to be safe and protected than sorry and aching the next morning.
From there, she made a quick beeline to the courtyard, hoping she'd catch Rhea and the other's there, but then she saw several people by the docks... Hm... Are they being sent off the mainland to train together?
Changing her path, she proceeded to the docks with even steps. As soon as she reached hearing distance, she spoke, voice unwavering, "What are we d-" The rest of the question didn't come through as she saw Ariane traipsing towards the edge of the docks and promptly stepped into the water. She jolted forward, halting slightly when Finnegan reached the edge Ariane previously occupied. Folowing after the Alpha, she stood behind him, slightly to the right, and called after Ariane, who was now wading through the water, "Ariane, what's the deal?"
Jen Verga
The touch to her shoulder made Jen lightly nervous. It also didn't help at all that it was Kristov. As soon as his hand hit her shoulder, her snakes reacted violently towards him, hissing and striking towards him, yet not actually biting him. Although they were wild, Jen could subconsciously control them to some extent. Her head turned slightly to face him as he spoke, but she didn't really know what to say to him. Jen could really shut him down at this point, taking his heart into her hands and crush it like a small flower underneath a truck. That or she could continue to hang him by a string, a small mouse caught in a lions claws and it bats it around a cave. Both would make Jen neither happy nor' sad to do so. "I see? But no I don't, I prefer my time training to removes someones head from their body." She smiled innocently to him but she meant it. Romantic gestures just weren't her thing in the least. By the time she'd answered she heard a familiar voice, Ollie! One person that could probably help her calm down slightly as she does with him. "Hey buddy, I know. I can't help it sometimes. I'll be able change once we set off again." She smiled towards the sound of his voice, she always felt safer when Ollie was around. Someone she'd been able to rely on since who knows when.
Finnegan watched silently in complete amusement. "Ariane, what's the deal?" He heard a voice from behind, assuming it to be Avice.
"If I'm correct, she's trying to drown herself. Just maybe." Finnegan said as he sat near the edge. He had always thought of his half-sister Ariane as stupid, but he didn't think she would be this stupid to try taking her own life.
Finn rested his elbow on his knee, chin on his palm and looked at the melancholic drama. "You do realise that killing yourself isn't going to solve anything." He said calmly. "I mean, I'm all for death and freeway and yadayadayada. But what do you hope to achieve anyway?" He said.
What else bothered him was that he felt her actions to be selfish. They had an entire mission ahead, and yet she chose to act right then.
Ariane heard the voices of Avice and Finnegan and turned around for a moment, her face full of sadness. "Its going to solve everything Finn.", she said and looked down at the water. After a moment, she looked up again. "Look, Finn, everyone here hates me. I am nothing but a burden. Nobody truly cares what happens with me. Because everyone knows I am just going to disappoint. I am, how you said before, a waste of space. And now, that the mission is near, I cannot bear it. I am supposed to hold the area you will return to. If I mess up, all the other squads die. And we all know I will mess it up and be more disturbing than helpful, because I am useless in every regard. It would be all of your death if I joined the mission."
Just then, Rhea came as well and tried to get her back. She even reached her arms out. "Don't you see it Rhea? Nobody would miss me. They probably wouldn't even notice."
FINNEGAN BROWN
Finnegan groaned internally. While he did want to knock some sense into her head, now was not the time for her to drown in self-pity. "Ariane, if you don't get out of the water this instant, I'm going to drag you out and give you a fate worse than death." He said, not moving a muscle.
"Finnegan, you need to stop that fight in the courtyard." Finnegan turned around quickly to find Rhea approaching them.
"What?" He stood up immediately as he turned his attention to her. "Blue is about to fight Alexios right before you all have a mission! You should tell them to st- Why is she out there?! Why are you two just watching?! My gods, Ariane, come back please!"" Rhea stopped mid sentence and looked over into the waters.
Finnegan cursed under his breath. "She'll probably listen to you, Rhea. I'll go over to the courtyard." He said, before dashing back. Angry was an understatement to how Finnegan was currently feeling. He slowed down once he got to the courtyard. "What is GOING ON?" Finn growled as he shot Mason a warning. "Mason, quit it." He said, pointing to the dome, "I'll get to you in a moment."
"Russo, Silverjoy." He barked as he strode up closer. He took a deep breath to keep his calm*. "Would you two mind explaining what is the meaning of this?" He asked calmly, without a trace of irritance.
"And must I repeat myself? Keep your squabbles until after the mission. The lives of your peers could be at danger while you two stand here to fight. I hope you understand that much."
*Note: When Finn gets angry, his Phobokinetic abilities tend to act up. Very mildly, but still noticable. The ability would cause anyone immediately close to him to feel uneasy. He's gotten better at controlling it over time, but still a heads up.
Kristov didn't flinch back from the hisses and strikes. He loved them, every one of Jen's snakes. They all had names to him and to allow them to bite him, to acknowledge him in his sphere, was an opportunity he would never pass. Masochism aside, physical pain really meant nothing to him for he was used to breaking his bones and pushing the limits his body could withstand, the occasional cut for cut torture sessions, and still part of him wanted the snakes to strike him. But, they didn't, and that filled Kristov with confidence and certainty. He was used to Jen's cold tone, and each time it warmed towards Ollie the same frozen steel pierced his heart. A familiarity he welcomed, Ollie would take care of her better than he could anyways. He had gotten close to her and not injured, he was already making progress. Small strides, but progress. And he would not go backwards. Her relationship with Ollie wasn't one that Kristov wanted with her, similar, but different, so he didn't feel threatened by Ollie, but rather he understood Ollie's position better. He himself would never let anything happen to Jen, he could only adore having someone with the same mindset by her side. He just wished he wasn't so.. vile. It was poetic. He was like poison to her, poison she would want to do without. But what is a snake with no venom?
Kristov's look at Ollie couldn't be taken as 'hostile' but it was far from friendly. "Oh I'm so glad you're here. You know our team little olive. Ill step from Jen's side..." Listening to her talk to Ollie, thinking to himself, he hadn't actually moved yet. Just savoring the attention Jen's snakes gave him. "You're like a diamond, Jen. Only if you strain can you see the imperfections within, and they only serve to make you more unique. A beautiful gleam that only shines brighter under any light. And Olive is that light. From now... I need to practice dismembering finding a more quick and clean beheading method. If I come up with anything fascinating I'll let you know." Kristov winked back to her as he left the two not wanting to be a thorn and make them more uncomfortable, knowing she was blind and couldn't see. But now, the ball was in her court and their dance continued. He was eager to see what her next step would be. For now, he reveled in the satisfaction.. her snakes didn't bite him.
Kristov quickly jogged back to the action. There was no way he'd miss this battle. Ruina was out. He liked Ruina, gods he liked Ruina. If anyone gave Kristov an excuse to love his bloodlust and sick desires it was her. He loved watching her vision of beauty take hold. Often he would watch the aftermath of her destruction, sometimes trying to recreate it on others. Blue was so close to her, maybe he should get closer too. She might not like his more... unorthodox and leisurely approach to the mortal body, but beauty is beauty. If they needed help opening the orb and freeing Alexios, then releasing the pent up passion within himself to help is what he would do.
Ollie
Stepping close to Jen's side, Ollie's tail gave the occasional wag. She made him a little nervous when she was like this. The snakes creeped him out a little. Well, he could deal with them, but they were still unsettling. Biting, slithering, just being all snakey. Ollie listened to Kristov without a word, his eyebrows furrowing more with every sentence. As he gave him a look, one of contempt, he was sure, his lips drew back into a snarl, crouching slightly. A low growl was a warning, a warning that was seldom used against his own "pack", so to speak. Finally, Kristov left. Ollie's ears returned to their normal stance and he stood up straight again. He put an arm around Jen protectively, looking at her snakes warily. Physically, he looked down at her, but he would always look up to her. "I don't quite like him. Just a bad smell all-round. And please don't, uh...act like you did that one time. That was...weird. I can keep you in check, though. Ugh, we should get with the others."
Blue
Blue turns around and glances at Fia, one of his many friends! "Aaahhhh, Fia, buddy! I'd be glad to fill you in. Alexios and Mason are in that dome. Alexios is real pissed at me. Everyone else are at the docks. I'd recommend you get there too, don't worry, the rest of us will catch up. This'll be fast, I can promise you that. It would be best to have less competition here as well, I'd kindly prefer the 1v1." He was about to face the dome Mason and Alexios were trapped in again but Kristov and Finnegan came around. "Hey Kristov, mind helping Ruina rip down the dome?" Blue glances at Finnegan and rolls his eyes. "Good ol Alpha. Coming here just to save your own reputation. Look, Gamma wants to fight so he'll get a fight. He won't calm down anyways unless he does fight. So it's either you step out of my way, or we're fighting first. One warning, move or I'll do it by force." ( Totorokoro Totorokoro DizjayDeathPride DizjayDeathPride Verdas Verdas @Valleth'aris Baconhands Baconhands Lord Potato Lord Potato )
Rhea
Rhea's heart practically broke at Ariane's words, she was just like Hades, her son in many ways. "I notice you, Ariane. I care about you so much. Even if you think I don't care about you...or any of you. I'm always here for you kids, I watch out for you and give you what you need. I make you breakfast, get you things when you need them, I'm not perfect with getting things you want but I try, I clean up after most of you. I'll even go out of my way to make sure you're all happy, like the quest I went on to gather the materials for Alexios's necklace. I trained you all so you can work together as a team and triumph over those on a divine scale. So you wouldn't have to worry about getting killed out on the field. I do so much for you kids and ask for very little in return. That's because it's what holds us together as a family in my eyes." Rhea began walks further, gaining on Ariane. "Please, I've already seen my children taken from me once. I've never had the opportunity to see them grow up, raise them, love them. I've opportunity to do that with all of you so don't do this. At least for me." Rhea seemed like she was on the brink of tears. She was really trying to reach out for her. "I'll be right here for you, always. I promise." FINNEGAN BROWN
"Good ol Alpha. Coming here just to save your own reputation." Blue said. Finnegan paid no heed to that remark, "Look, Gamma wants to fight so he'll get a fight. He won't calm down anyways unless he does fight. So it's either you step out of my way, or we're fighting first. One warning, move or I'll do it by force."
Finnegan stood his ground. "If you want a fight, earn it by proving yourself in the mission." He said, getting annoyed by the minute. "Listen Blue, I get that you're bloodthirsty, but this is simply not the time." He looked around and realised that it was going out of control.
"CAN EVERYONE PLEASE STOP WHAT THEY'RE DOING RIGHT NOW?" He yelled through cupped hands. "We already have a situation at the dock and Ariane's in danger. Probably dying. Rhea's doing her best to save her, but it'll be really helpful if you guys stopped fighting and came to help her out." He said without giving any details. True, he might have slightly exaggerated. But Finn knew that there was no other way to get them to stop- without the need to use his trump card.
By the time Lily managed to get to the docks she was already out of breath and felt as if she was going to die from overexertion. She was lucky that her role on the team did not rely on her physical abilities otherwise she doubted she wouldn't have lasted as long as she had with these people. She took a few moments to catch her breath before looking around to see what all was going on. She didn't know what all had happened, but when she saw Ariane in the water and Rhea attempting to coerce her out. She approached Rhea her eyes never quite leaving Ariane. "What's going on?" She said dropping the happy disposition she had been carrying only a few moments ago. Light Light The Fluffiest Floof The Fluffiest Floof
Jen Verga
Brows furrowing as she listened to Kristov almost mock Ollie for being by her side, she sighed as he began a small monologue, but it ended once he left. Her snakes didn't even react to Ollie being near, they were used to him and knew that he wouldn't harm Jen, instead they stayed hovering and hissing, sensing the world around them as usual. Jens view was still blocked by the wrap thankfully, but she could sense than Ollie was next to her. When he put her arm around her, she calmed down from a sea in a storm to a river in a forest.
"I don't like him either, but I guess he can't control his hormones. And they're supposed to be coming here, we're meant to be sailing soon but I think a fight was starting up."
Jen just stayed underneath Ollies arm, her mood was relaxing and he'd be able to tell as the snakes round her were seeming to become rather drowsy looking, almost hanging off her head with their eyes shut, no long flicking their tongues to taste the air.
Blue
Blue looks at Kristov and points towards Finnegan. Blue was serious when he said move or I'll do it by force. He sighs and shakes his head. He thrusts his hand out and slams his palm into Finnegan, blasting him back with a pulse of light. It felt like a warm push. He then raises his bow and forms a string of light, also making two arrows out of light. He notches them both and releases. The first arrow lands where Finnegan ends up from the push and lightly blows up, knocking him away again. Finnegan was knocked into the second arrow since Blue predicted where the first arrow would knock him. The second arrow explodes in harmless light as well and pushes him back again. "Ooohhh this is going to feel great." Blue then notches another arrow. ( Totorokoro Totorokoro Vranea Vranea DizjayDeathPride DizjayDeathPride Verdas Verdas )
Ruina approached the dome of molten rock and prepared herself to destroy it. That was what she was best at, after all. It felt warm, and literally helped her warm up before she could take the dome down. But before she could, the Alphamyassinterrupted them. He always liked to ruin the mood, and this time was no different.
However, she was somewhat torn once the 'Alpha' mentioned that Arianne was in danger. She wanted to help Blue and Gamma kill each other (or more specifically, help Blue kill Gamma), but she also wanted to help Arianne die. Arianne always tried to kill herself, but the others always stopped her. She had learned by now that 90% of the time she was in 'danger,' she was simply trying to commit suicide.
Ruina always liked to help others, but the dilemma she currently faced was simply too much for her. She wished she could kill Arianne and help Blue kil- fight Gamma at the same time. "Ah~ What should I do?" She said to no one in particular. This was just like that one time she had to choose which of her family members to save, and it filled her with nostalgia.
