"This is a place, where we have gathered you because we must. It will be hard to understand at first why it was you were forced here, or perhaps the intent was clear upon receiving the letter, the note, the knock at your door. You are stuck here, this concept will hurt at first, we apologize for that. Your number within the house will be assigned the moment you exit the doors of this room. Everyone within this select group will have a roommate, the assignment is random, please refrain from any direct violence with them. There isn't to be any swapping. A set of rules should be in the folder that was on your chair.

Do Not Try To Leave

Always Answer To Superiors

The Hours Between 2am and 6am are Forbidden.

Ignore Any Knocking Between Those Hours

Never Answer The Door At Night

The Woods Are Off Limits

There Is To Be No Use of 'Abilities'

Punishment Is Strict

This facility was created to help rehabilitate you, we ask that you refrain from lashing out at the selected officials here to help, there are here for you. We only want you to one day be able to peacefully enter society again, cured. Some of you are beyond terrified, you have found yourself relocated without explanation. I'm happy to remedy that problem now. Those of you within the community walls, are not like the civilians outside of the facility. Your mind is, open, if you will. Open to the things that the public cannot grasp, or things that could hurt those around you. Some of you, most of you, have been involved in inexplicable events. A couch suddenly on fire. A pool drained of water. Something along those lines. Some would use the term magic. We will not be using that term, you are not magical. You are afflicted. Cursed. The rehabilitation center is to help cure you. You are here because we care. Please exit to the left, and claim your rooms. "

//Please read the overview//

The room assignments were handed to each and every person to exit orientation, of course this was no surprise, she's spoken of it. The rooms she so graciously alluded to were identical. A plain thing, two beds, relatively large, a bathroom, a deck on the outside. A bedside table rested beside either bed, identical lamps on each. Blankets were a color of random choice, but all the same in quality. It seemed, that even in a camp bent on keeping them very much restrained, equality was the key here. The assignments were visible;

Male Dormitory;

Jace Williams & Cobalt Cintharin - Room One.

Damien Lynch & Nicolas Mindelves - Room Two.

Aaron Whitley & Oliver Wellington - Room Three.

Kano & Alexander Webster - Room Four.

Maximilian Warfield & Carlton Raines - Room Five.

Female Dormitory;

Jackie Williams & Nila Ranis - Room One.

Morgana Mercer & Amaya Hale - Room Two.

Aria Vex & Sapphire Finch - Room Three.

Riley Vex & Kathleen Whitley - Room Four.

Danielle Jackson & Emma Owens - Room Five.

Lazuli & <unoccupied> - Room Six.

Please proceed to your rooms and get acquainted with your roommates. Classes start tomorrow, as do any and all occupations assigned to those that enter the town.

Amaya kept her expression calm as she proceeded to room two in the female dorm. Her bag, containing a few changes of clothes, was something she felt she could barely carry, but she managed to make it to one of the beds and set the bag down. Sitting on what she assumed was her bed, she rested gratefully. Such little exercise wouldn't - or shouldn't - be something that exhausted a normal person, but this was the first time she'd been let out of her room in 6 years. It was mental exhaustion as much as physical.

At least here she wouldn't have to worry as much about regular beatings... if she behaved. She saw her cat's spirit curl up on her bed and had to resist the urge to call out to it or interact. The words 'Punishment is Strict' came to mind. She'd have to pretend she didn't see her companion. In all her time alone, that would be the most difficult thing.

However, she knew she needed to keep a pleasant smile in place. No use betraying her true thoughts or feelings. So she folded her hands in her lap and watched the doorway, her legs kicking against the bedframe, while she waited for her roommate. Whoever this 'Morgana' was would hopefully be easy to get along with. She doubted it, but there was no reason not to hope.

Nila Ranis

1CY5joJ.jpg
Nila sat with her arms crossed and her teeth quite literally bared at the people who she was expected to respect and not punch in the face... Okay, right! She rolled her eyes, half listening to what they said with little to no interest until they told her to leave and go talk to her roommate. Firstly, she was not all that happy with the roommate part. Just another person she had to deal with. Perfect. But the fact that she was even here in the first place was what had her anger at such high levels.

"Why am I here to begin with?! I killed a bad guy,
okay? Since when is that against the law? Maybe that's why your law system has gone to shit, huh?!" She yelled, her arms still crossed tightly over her chest as she rose up and leaned toward them.

With an angry noise that was a mixture of a groan and a growl, she kicked the chair across the room as hard as she could and stormed out.
What right did they have to tell them how to live their life? We're gifted! I'm a fricking Super Hero! If you don't count the injured cops. Just looking at this place made her want to gag. There was a reason she lived a more exciting life while she was in college. This place promised to be boring in so many different ways.

So... Roommate. Ugh. The last thing she wanted to do was walk into a room she was forced to share with a stranger and play buddy buddy. Even a night in at the dorms studying was more appealing than this. Maybe it was that she couldn't leave and was never given the option to. Freedom was something she craved but didn't exactly take advantage of before she had come here. Now that was something she regretted. Well, if she ever did manage to escape the hell hole, her first goal was to move to some other country,
any other country...

Nila walked into her dorm that was as bland as it possibly could be and flopped down on the bed. She immediately took her pillow and threw it across the room. It wasn't like it could get dirty. Everything seemed neat and tidy. It was amazing how such a prim environment could incite such large amounts of anger inside her.

Now, where was this roommate? Were they late? What time was it even? Apparently the
galactic empire didn't believe in clocks either. But it was good to know they did believe in different colored blankets. Unfortunately for Nila, her bed was the ugliest shade of orange she had ever seen in her life.

Nicolas Mindelves

Horikawa.Kunihiro.full.1855135.jpg
Nicolas sat with the most deadened look on his face. Most kids his age were bright and full of energy. Nicolas wanted to fall asleep and never wake up. He didn't want to "see" anything anymore and wanted to be home with his sisters and his parents. If he couldn't do that, the least he could do was dream of a better time.

Did he have to speak to his roommate? Nicolas knew they said he had to get acquainted with them but what if he didn't want to? What if he wanted to just take a nap or something? That was probably okay. If classes didn't start until tomorrow, it was okay to nap today. That was how the outside worked. It wasn't as if he had moved to an alien planet.

Yet... He still felt like this wasn't the society he once knew and these people didn't seem very human at all. In fact, they creeped him out and sort of scared him but maybe that was because of how they brought him here. When they came to take him, he clung to his parents crying until they dragged him off. He hadn't cried before that since he was little. When they got too close to him, he would lean away and didn't dare look any of them in the eye. Nicolas was relieved when they told him he could go.

But... he had a roommate? Would it be somebody like him? Could they "see" things too? If they were his age, he wouldn't want to talk to them. If they were younger, he wouldn't want to play either. If they were older, he might feel uncomfortable but that seemed the most desirable outcome. Would they try and tell him what to do? His mother and father had always said before that he should respect people older than him. He never quite knew why but did so anyway. At least until they proved they didn't deserve his respect anymore.

As Nicolas turned to go, his hand skimmed a piece of paper on the desk. "You're going to run out of ink for your printer in two days," He told them glumly as he left the room.

His first worry was clothes. Hopefully they would give him that while he was here. It would be cruel not to. And food. Was there a place they all went to eat? Did they have currency? When he got to his room, he would have to find some paper and write down all the things he needed or would have to ask about. Asking them though... That meant talking to those very creepy adults again. It could wait anyway.

Nicolas opened his door slowly and peered inside as if expecting somebody to leap out at him. Fortunately, nobody was there yet. It gave him some time to collect his thoughts. Nicolas really missed his family...

To say Riley was pissed would be an extreme understatement. She had sat there, silently glaring at everyone as she kept her arm protectively around her little sister. Once, a guard tried to belittle her; her head still rang slightly from headbutting him and then being hit a few times. The guard was out cold, on the floor of the truck. Aria had stopped crying, at least, but she still quivered.

They soon arrived at the 'rehab' center. For once, Riley ignored her surroundings, making sure Aria was always near her and that nobody came near the young teen. The guards didn't bother Riley or Aria, having seen what had happened on the truck, although Riley knew she'd be in trouble.

"I don't want to be here," Aria whimpered. "I want to go home." Riley wanted to comfort her sister, but had nothing to say. If they went home, their parents would shun them, or send them right back. Not that they could escape anyways, Riley had observed when they had passed through the great walls that surrounded this stupid place.

"I won't let them keep us here forever," Riley said, but Aria could tell it wasn't a promise. The girl understood, though. Maybe one day they would escape, but she was doubting it already.

The group had passed on in silence; Riley finally paying attention to her surroundings and taking mental notes on everything, Aria curling closer towards her sister with every new face that came into sight. Eventually, the two found themselves in the large room, with many other kids--which didn't help Aria's building anxiety--and not too much longer, orientation began. The rules were explained. Aria had started weeping again part way though, managing to keep it quiet and only earning a few rude looks from those nearby who supported the blasted rehabilitation program. Afterwards, Riley had waited for Aria to calm down and dry her tears before they went to check the dorm assignments.

They were separated.

"What the hell?! You can't just take her away from me like that! What if something happens to her?" Riley's angered voice echoed loudly through the room. The guards kept their faces neutral as they answered her.

"We don't control the dorm assignments, ma'am. I apologize. If you have a complaint, take it up with the higher-ups." Riley growled, but quieted.

"This is bullshit.." Riley snapped. At least I get my own room.. The pyromancer took a closer look at her sister's dorm assignment.

"Sapphire Finch," Aria murmured to herself. "Seems like a nice name.." She looked up at Riley. "Will you be okay?"

"I'll be fine," Riley muttered. "Let's go find your dorm room."

It took a bit of time, but Riley found the dorms. Fortunately, her and Aria's rooms were right next door and, without a 'buddy' to bother her, Riley would know if something was wrong next door. Riley refused to part ways outside; instead, carrying both her and her sister's packs, Riley walked Aria inside and helped her get set up, seeing as Sapphire wasn't there yet. With a reluctant good-bye, Riley left to her own dorm room.

Without a partner to share it with, it seemed quite open compared to Aria's, although chances were she'd get paired with a newer arrival eventually. Riley chose her bed, the sheets of which were a nice light red, and emptied her clothes into the dresser, adding a small picture frame onto the bedside table. The picture inside was taken just before Riley and Aria had left for practice not all that long ago. With a sigh, Riley moved out onto the deck to look at the outside world.

It all seemed so convincing. As if she could just up and leave whenever she wanted, racing away through the trees that stretched forever. But there it was; the metal glint that spoke of the walls of her cage.

Life really sucked.

Damien Lynch

Damien was beyond annoyed the moment he found himself in the facility, granted this had been before the assembly. Sedation wasn't always an option, on occasion it was the opposite. Today, he was beyond alert and awake. An annoying sensation that left him feeling off and strange. When he'd found his seat, annoyed and agitated, he'd found her words were enough that had he not been thoroughly drugged to the gills, he would be very much asleep. Words so dull, and so see through that he honestly assumed a computer had to of generated the whole speech. That, or the woman was entirely lacking in any and all human qualities. It's possible, honestly. He wouldn't be surprised, the government has been lacking in officials with human properties. His father was living proof.

The seats were comfortable, at the very least. Noting that the people around him seemed to have others with them, he grimaced. Relations. They all had families, spouses, things like that. Which meant they had too many connections. They were dependent on others, it also meant they were desperate. This desperate quality might probe to be useful, if he's being entirely honest. The more desperate, the more likely they are to perhaps listen to any words of escape he'd whisper softly. The more likely they are to not team up with the resident witch on the stage. One hand moves to idly feel the bruises on his arms, repeated taking of blood and a boy that bruises easy. His foot taps the ground, rapid pace as she talks before she finally releases the hounds so to speak. The moment they're free, he's gone. Of course he takes some time to scope out the place until a guard forcibly thrusts both a new folder a demand his way. Grumbling, he makes his way to the room.

His roommate has made it here before him. He doesn't need to be clairvoyant to know that. When he opens the door, he notes that his roomie is younger. Far younger. His expression is unreadable. Silently, he prays he hasn't been saddled with an empath. He makes his way, sluggishly despite the feeling of electric that has settled in his bones, he takes a seat on the bed. Chewing on his lower lip helps him collect his thoughts before he finally decides he shouldn't keep his mouth shut. Partially due to the camera that looms in the corner of the room. He's going to assume the only place not monitored strictly is the bathroom.

"Damien Lynch." He says after another moment of silence. He crosses his arms, and finally slides fully onto the bed. His clothes, designer and classy (what he arrived in a year past) are slightly too large nowadays. They'll stock closets soon, he assumes. This facility is nicer than the last one he'd spent time in. More, rustic. Designer. Something. Either way, it's a more comfortable space, if such things are possible with rehabilitation centers.

Cobalt was quite scared, to be honest. The whole speech had left him rather uncomfortable. This place made him feel rather uncomfortable. He heard moans and groans, spirits. Unhappy spirits. Bad things had happened here. Innocent people had been killed here. He could feel it. They clawed at him, their icy fingertips raking across his skin. He couldn't really feel them. But at the same time he could. He shook his head and silenced the aching spirits.

He wanted his mama. But his mama didn't want him.

Jace Williams. That was his roommate. Cobalt didn't want a roommate. He would much rather be on his own so he could talk to his ghost friends when he liked. He'd asked Gemma to keep away for a little while, until he got some time alone. Pushing the door open to his room, he smiled as he found it to be empty.

"Gemma, you can come out now."
Cobalt called gently. A young girl, maybe around twelve or thirteen, pale and translucent but clearly of African american descent. "Hiya, Cobalt." The girl said quietly, as her voice always was. "I don't like this place much. Why ya gotta stay here?" The girl said, sitting beside him as much as a ghost could. "I gotta. They're keeping me here cuz I can talk to you." "That's no fun." Gemma sighed. "What'd I do wrong? What'd you do wrong?" "Nothing at all, Gemma." "They're meanies." "..Yeah."

~

Sapphire gritted her teeth. She could see some people already beginning to make a scene, a girl kicking a chair over, even, but Sapphire knew better. She was biding her time. Waiting for the perfect moment. She didn't need to make a scene. It wasn't smart.

She sighed. If only Darius was here.. he'd know what to do. Why'd they have to be separated? Why'd she have to get.. caught. It was her fault. All her fault.

She took her time getting to her room. She was in no rush to meet her new roommate which she had no patience for. Could she run out at night, during the forbidden hours? But how would she get past the walls? Dammit.

When Sapphire reached her room, she saw a girl around her age exiting. Sapphire narrowed her eyes, but said nothing, only pushed open the door to see a smaller girl. Blonde hair, bright eyes. She looked innocent. Perhaps the one who had been leaving the room was her big sister. Probably a fierce protector of her. No wonder she looked so scared.

Sapphire let out a grunt. There was definetly no hope of escaping with this girl. She looked fragile as a dove. "Aria?" Sapphire said as nicely as she possibly could, which wasn't very nice at all. "I'm Sapphire." She extended her hand to shake. It was wrapped in bandaging, and letting out another grumble, she swapped hands so Aria wouldn't have to shake her obviously injured one.

Riley paused as she passed Sapphire, giving the girl a once-over before turning and continuing on her way.

Aria's head snapped up when Sapphire entered, blinking. "H-Hi.." Her words were quiet, and the girl ducked her head again to hide a blush but not fast enough to miss her roommate's bandaged hand. "It's nice to meet you," the girl said, her own hand shooting out to catch Sapphire's before it could retreat. Ignoring her own rudeness and any reaction Sapphire might have had, Aria gazed at the bandage with a look of determination that betrayed her earlier shyness. With a deep breath, the girl focused and sent healing power into the hand, releasing it and shifting farther onto her bed so she could cross her legs.

"S-sorry. I don't deal well when others a-are hurt around me. Not if I-I can help it," she added quickly, looking back up to smile kindly at Sapphire. "Have you b-been here long or are you n-new like me?"

Sapphire's eyes widened as the girl reached out to grab her injured hand so suddenly. It kind of hurt, her wound being grabbed like that. Sapphire winced. "What the hell do you think you're--" Sapphire began, clearly pissed but at the same time shocked. The shy girl suddenly looked so determined, and the pain began to fade away as Sapphire realized. She had to be a healer. "S-sorry. I don't deal well when others a-are hurt around me. Not if I-I can help it," Aria said, stuttering once again, the fierce look gone. Sapphire slowly unwrapped her bandaging and found her hand to be perfectly healed. She flexed her fingers, and gave a small smile. "Hmph. Not bad." Sapphire muttered. "You'd be better off only healing those in dire need of it. It can start to make you sick." Sapphire advised.

"Been here a while."
She muttered. "If you're new, you're in for a hell of a lot of fun." Sapphire grumbled sarcastically, sitting down on her bed. "That your sister? The one who left the room?"

"I-I know that!" Aria insisted, crossing her arms stubbornly. "I just.. wanted to heal you, that's all.." she grumbled.

When Sapphire answered Aria's question of how long she'd been here, the girl looked up, frowning.
"I knew this place sucked, but is it really that bad?" she asked, her eyes widening. "They won't.. hurt us, will they?" However, when Sapphire mentioned Riley, Aria seemed to calm down, even if only slightly, and nodded. "Yeah. Her name's Riley. She can be a bit mean sometimes, so watch out, but otherwise she's really nice and cool," Aria responded, starting to smile again. "Do you have any fami-" Too late, Aria realized her mistake; everyone here had once had a family, and had been brutally ripped away from them. While there was no doubt that Sapphire would understand her question, Aria hoped she hadn't struck a nerve; and if she had, not too hard. She reached into her pack, pulling out a duplicate photo of the one Riley carried, in a frame that looked exactly the same as well. She stared at it, running her fingers along the wooden frame's edge and hoping that Sapphire wouldn't be too angry. Already, Aria could tell the older girl was a hothead, and she hoped she wouldn't offend or upset her during their time together.

Sapphire gave a small chuckle. "Well, nonetheless, I appreciate it." She sounded younger than she looked. Maybe twelve, thirteen? Cobalt's age? She didn't know.

The place was that bad. But Sapphire wondered if she should tell the small girl. Maybe she should spare her innocence. Let her keep it as long as she could. "If you do what they tell you, you should be alright." It hurt Sapphire to say that. But it was for the best. She said nothing else and hoped Aria wouldn't ask any further.

Riley. She could be a bit mean. Sapphire smirked. Sure. Obviously Aria cared for her sister, and Sapphire didn't doubt Riley cared as well. Good. She had someone to look after her.

Sapphire made no sudden movement or sign of any anger or even emotion at all when Aria cut herself off. "Technically I'm an orphan." Sapphire said nonchalantly, as if it were nothing. She kicked off her shoes and lay down on the bed. "I have an adoptive father who's got abilities too. A healer. Like you. He got caught along with me. I don't know where he is." She closed her eyes. "You're lucky I don't care much. Asking such a question with someone else could give them a heart attack." Sapphire sighed.

Danielle made her way into the building, she could already feel different emotions starting to ink themselves into her brain. Fear, anger, annoyance, anxiety, bordom, and plenty more that she couldn't even begin to pull apart.

The idea of this place was messed up, to say the least. If anything it was a terrible idea. There were too many people around, with way too many emotions.

At this point in her life she had mastered keeping a blank expression on her face, which helped at pushing away all the feelings. Sometimes though, she couldn't tell which emotions were her's and which belonged to others.

Danielle made her way to her room, happy to not have a room mate yet. Quickly, she slipped into the bland two bedroom dorm and shut the door behind her. Hoping to block out whatever she could.

Aria frowned again when Sapphire mentioned doing what you were told. Aria knew she could do that, but Riley wouldn't fare very well. She could only hope her sister would be able to realize when listening was a good idea.

Aria almost sighed in relief when Sapphire wasn't angry at her question. She listened to Sapphire's story, staring at the bed with a guilty expression when she heard Sapphire said she didn't care. Aria doubted that, but didn't say anything else about it. Instead, she breathed slowly to calm herself down, then looked back at Sapphire, smiling again.

"Is there anything fun to do around here?"

Morgana was definitely not willingly coming to this place, but then again, were any of them really? None in their right mind obviously.

Because Morgana's family gave her up so easily, they were allowed to bring her in. She never liked them much in he past, simply because of the way they treated her - they treated her differently because she was different. Now that they know the truth, they are even worse. After her parents were finished being nosey and asking questions to the staff, they finally left, allowing Morgana I move along to her room she had been assigned.

The young lady at the front desk showed her which hall to take, which room to look for and which roommate she would be bunking with. She didn't mind the idea of a roommate, but then again, she had never had one before. It would be new.

Morgana made her way to the room with the "2" on it, knocking lightly before going in. She looked around the room, taking in all of its simplicity - both sides looked like clones. Her eyes locked onto the small framed girl, who was presumably Amaya. She was already sitting on a bed, so Morgana chose the other one, placing her duffle bag at the foot of it.

"Hello." She spoke softly, as per usual. "Amaya, yes?" Her eyebrows raised with curiosity. Upon waiting for the small girl to speak, Morgana began sorting through her bag, finding a proper place for it.

The door opened and it drew Amaya's attention. Morgana, she presumed. A very pretty woman and a soft voice. It might not be difficult to tolerate someone who was so... soft.

Smiling pleasantly, she nodded. "Yes, and I assume you're Morgana?" Questions flooded her mind, but mostly she just wondered what this would turn into. At the moment she was doing her best to ignore Raptor, but the cat was begging for attention. It wouldn't bother her if her roommate thought her weird, but she wasn't sure whether the oppressors had equipped the rooms with cameras and she wouldn't be able to do as she pleased until she knew either way.

She stood and gave a quick curtsy. It wouldn't do to be rude. "So why do you find yourself here?" Her voice was gentle and slightly melodic. Her smile faltered a little as she saw a guard pass by in the hall. 'If only I had some sort of telekinesis...' Instead, she crossed to the door and shut it gently. "There."

Morgana nodded to Amaya, acknowledging her assumption. "The one and only, nice to meet you." She gave a thumbs up in between sorting through her clean laundry. She liked to keep it short and sweet - she wasn't much of a talker, as her head did a lot of talking as it was. Already, her head was spouting information about Amaya. Morgana could shut it off at will, but it took a bit of concentration. She had gotten used to allowing her thoughts and the voices run amuck, they weren't as easy to control as they used to be. She could tell that Amaya was uncertain about Morgana being her roommate but the thoughts just verified her assumption. Thankfully no one knew what Morgana was capable of yet - hopefully she could keep it on the down low.

Morgana remembered that if she used her power too much, she could become sick, and all the sickness in this facility was recorded. She growled to herself. The amount of effort she would have to put into controlling the voices would be irritating, but she could do it. Yoga and meditation helped her a lot. She could handle this place. It would all be okay.

Suddenly, Amaya snapped Morgana's attention back - "So why do you find yourself here?" The petite girl questioned. "In short? Family betrayal, angst, self loathing.. All that fun stuff." She snickered, trying to make light of her situation. "My family finally realized what I am, and turned me in." She shrugged, watching as Amaya closed the door.

"Whoops. Should have done that myself. Poor manners on my behalf." She grinned nervously.

Amaya giggled. "You know that's not what I meant." 'I wonder if you're one of those who can hear thoughts... or feel the emotions of others.' "I doubt any of us came here of our own accord."

Spirits were beginning to show themselves, but something was off as they seemed to be torn between two places. Was there another like her here? She'd never met anyone who could do what she could. Yet, this Morgana seemed to have the right idea. If they were to be stuck here for a while it would do well to make a comfortable living space.

She opened her bag and pulled out the three extra shirts, a skirt, and two pairs of pants. She put her clothes away neatly and found herself out of energy once more. Laying down upon her bed, trying to ignore the bright blue that adorned the blankets. Raptor curled up on her chest and she began petting him, more or less ignoring the rest of the world.

Once Danielle shut the door to her room, the wave of emotions began to subside. Leaving only a faint tug behind. She threw her bag on one of the beds. Taking a seat, she examined the room. Just about everything was white, the only color in the room was the lamp that sat on top of the nightstand. It was a pale yellow color that brought just a bit of tinted light into the room. She sighed loudly and flopped back on the bed.

The two twins, Kathleen and Aaron, had arrived together in an unnoticeable black car each carrying a bag with a few changes of clothes and very little personal effects. They both had a certain look about them and the reason for that look was their mother who had turned them in. Both siblings sat together during the orientation very quietly.

When the orientation was over, both Kathleen and Aaron had walked towards the door together until the guards came to separate them. Neither resisted because they feared for what might happen to the other. With a hug and a few parting words, "Don't resist it. Please don't get hurt." each picked up a piece of paper that had the room assignments on them, and headed off.

Kathleen's heart hurt as she was forced from her brother and moved towards her room. She looked back to her brother to see him looking back at her. Both gave each other a small smile, but each knew better than to believe they were happy. When she came to her door, Kathleen took a deep breath, knocked and entered the room. It was, simply speaking, a prison cell. She looked around the room slightly shaking and saw her roommate. "Hello there." She called out softly.

Aaron looked back to see his sister slightly shaking and turned back with a hard resolve. He would only tolerate this place because his sister had asked it of him. Otherwise, he wouldnt have stood it. He set forward towards his room to put his stuff in it. Then he would go find his sister and make sure she was okay. He found his room and did just that. Then he headed out to go find his sister.

Morgana smiled at Amaya's giggle - at least she could make someone smile, in a time like this, a smile was worth a thousand words. Everyone was feeling pain of some sort - loneliness, betrayal, anger, resentment..

When Amaya quietly thought to herself, Morgana couldn't help but hear it. It just happens. Morgana's eyebrows raised whenever she heard Amaya thinking about what Morgana may be, mentioning a telepath at first. That surely caught her off guard, but she said nothing and stayed silent. This girl was too smart for her own good. Morgana smiled to herself.

Once all of the clean laundry was folded and put away, she stuffed her duffle bag under the bed and finally took a moment to stretch out. The blanket was an ugly green color, but at least it wasn't the itchy-scratchy blankets she used to sleep with at her grandmas house back when she was a tot. As she began to relax, she noticed all of the strange patterns in the ceiling. Focusing on them allowed her mind to rest, and everything finally went quiet for a bit.

NNicolas jumped slightly at the sound of the door opening. In the silent room, any noise would have likely startled the boy. And then his eyes fell on his new roommate. He didn't look visibly intimidating but he was older. Then again, Nicolas' version of visibly intimidating might be an overly large muscular guy with an eye patch and anchor tattoo. It wasn't all that realistic and didn't completely leave out the possibility that this person could be very mean.

For a few moments, it was silent. That was something Nicolas enjoyed. No questions. No threats, no insults, no judgement... It was peaceful and left Nicolas with as little stress as possible. But he was also aware that while he enjoyed the quiet, others tended not to. Should he at least say something to break the silence? Maybe say hello? That would be the polite thing to do and something Nicolas always kept up with was his manners. Luckily, the man spoke first.

It took Nicolas a few moments to understand what he meant. It was his name. The man was greeting him. Nicolas decided to do the same.

"Nicolas Mendelves." Nicolas' voice was a lot softer and not very confident. He had to suppress a sigh even as he heard his own voice.

Then another question popped into Nicolas' head. Was this person like him? Could he see the future by touching things? Nicolas didn't really know much else about where he was. It seemed only a couple days before he was living a lot more happily with his family. This place was foreign and Nicolas was alone now. He didn't even understand why he was put here in the first place. Is this what they did to special people? Maybe he sick and needed to be cured. It was all so confusing and Nicolas subconsciously pressed his fist against his temple as if to dispel the torrent of confusion.

The only comfort Nicolas had was knowing that this person in the room with him probably understood how Nicolas was feeling. And in whatever way, Damien was special too. Maybe Nicolas wasn't so alone. These thoughts also made him more comfortable with this roommate. That's what mother always said. Silver lining.

Kyle sat in peace while the assembly went on. He knowingly began mumbling to himself, after the assembly was done and he was caught up on the rules, he made his way to his room (Which is unassigned at the moment for me @Amaranthium) where he hopefully met up with his room mate. To be honest, he was both a mix of happy and scared because he had no idea what his room mate would say to him or call him.

"Is there anything fun to do around here?" Sapphire shrugged. "This place isn't about having fun, sorry to say. Sometimes you can go to the pool. I don't know. I don't care much for fun." Why'd the have to take kids here? It was just wrong. Sapphire herself was still a minor.

"I'm.. gonna go. I haven't really got anything to unpack."
Opening her small backpack, Sapphire took out another roll of bandaging, an extra set of clothing, and a small box, one that looked like it held jewelry inside. She threw the clothing and bandages on the bed and gently placed the box on the nightstand. Opening the box, Sapphire pulled out a small necklace with a golden charm which she quickly clasped on to her neck. "Cya, kid. Good luck." Sapphire muttered, opening the door and letting it gently shut behind her.

Maybe she'd go look around for Cobalt. But she didn't know what room he was in. She just needed to take a walk to clear her head.

She watched as her cat jumped off her chest and bounded over to Morgana. Strange. Amaya frowned slightly and sat up a bit.

"My cat...has decided he wants to curl up with you. I hope you don't mind..." It was unlikely that Morgana would feel anything, but there was Raptor, curled up beside the girl. 'You've never done that before... Always tried to hurt everyone else. Are you trying to tell me something?' Her frown deepened.

Obviously, conversing with the spirit of a dead animal didn't yield actual words in return, any more than it had before the cat died. Still, it was the one creature Amaya had always trusted and Raptor's inherent like of the new roommate surprised her. Spirits of the wronged dead (and even the ones who'd lived a quite nice life) were beginning to descend upon her and it would only be a few more minutes that she could stand to keep them out. During that time she hoped to observe Morgana and gauge the other girl's reaction to ...everything.

Danielle finally decided to step out of her dorm. The hallways only held a scarce amount of people, which was good. By the time she was already down the hall, she could feel the new emotions of the people near by. They seemed to float around her and try to make their way inside her head. Happiness, confusion, some one was scared, someone was determined. She shook her head trying to clear it of all the feelings. Maybe it was better if she just stayed in her room, rather than wander the halls.
