Fantasy Welcome to Thunder [Level 1 Missions]

❛ it's only love, nobody dies ❜
Level 1's. My most trusted.

I am entrusting you with the greatest mission of all. This is Remmy.

He was like you. A Thunder recruit. He started out, as all of you did, at a level five. He worked his way up through the levels, becoming a level one. For months, everything was normal, but then something went terribly wrong. He disengaged his tracking chip, and when we found it, it lay in a pile of blood on his apartment floor. We haven't been able to catch up to him since. He's extremely powerful, but has destroyed any trust Thunder had in him. He has killed our agents who have gone after him, and stopped us from completing more than one mission.

He must be found. He must be eliminated.

Dakota stood at the glass wall of her apartment, staring down at the city below. Just like at Thunder, she liked being high up, and had specifically chosen this place for that very reason. Though from way up here she couldn't see the people below, she knew they were there, and she liked being way above them. For some reason, she felt safer that way, similar to a kitty cat who wanted to perch on the highest rung of the tree.

Speaking of cats, she heard a familiar meow from by her feet, and glanced down. Her expression softened, and she knelt down to scratch behind Boink's ears. The name made her smile. After a moment she straightened again, casting another glance out over the city before turning away and heading to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of water. She was waiting for the other level ones to arrive so they could discuss their current target, apparently Thunder's number one priority for them.

Clad in a black pencil skirt and a white button up top with a mini black sweater overtop, she certainly looked the part of a regular city dweller. Her hair was pinned back into a tight bun on top of her head, an even though she was in the comfort of her own home, her feet were adorned by her favorite pair of blood red heels. The irony was definitely there. After taking a sip of her water, she set the glass down and watched Boink climb up his tree to lay lazily on the top of it.

Amelia woke up with intent in her eyes. It was the day of missions for Thunder, and everyone had places to be. As for her, all the level ones were meeting up at Dakotas apartment, which was something that Amelia appreciated. Somehow she had never gotten stuck with the responsibility of everyone to coming to her place, and that was a good thing. She didn't want everyone knowing where or how she lived, nosing around her little place. It was hers, even though it was technically Thunders, but it was the only place she had ever been able to call hers and do what she want with, and she was fine with being alone in it most of the time. The only other person who saw it was Russel, who was coming with Amelia today on the level one mission, which was likely a big deal for him. His abilities would no doubt be of help, and Amelia was pretty sure that the reason he wasn't a level one yet was because Thunder didn't trust him with his own strength enough to let him out on his own.

Amelia had brought Russel home the night before so that she wouldn't have to make the trek all the way back to Thunder and then to Dakota's. She walked into her living room, where he was sleeping on her couch. "Hey," she said, poking his shoulder as she passed. "Wak up." She was not trying to cook for Russel since he could eat everything in sight and still be hungry, so she needed him to get up so they could go somewhere to get food on the way. She had Thunder's card in her wallet at all times, so the funds wouldn't be a problem. "Aren't you hungry? Get. Up," she said, giving him a good shove.

Crimsyn sighed, his blank-faced reflection staring back at him from the glass wall of his top-floor loft. Fiery hair, pale skin, hazel eyes with just the slightest hint of shadows forming beneath them. The eyes of a killer.

While he had never been a pacifist, Revenge also didn't support the slaughter of undeserving people. Criminals and creeps were dispatched with a grin, but this case was different.

He was going to be killing someone living out his own dream of freedom.

Whether or not Remmy was innocent, that was debatable. But worthy of death? Crimsyn knew enough about running away from a bad situation to sympathize with the renegade agent.

There was nothing he could do, though. At least, not yet. He would gladly lay down his life for what he believed in, but the timing simply wasn't right.

And so he turned away from the glimmering city lights below, fingertips resting on the handle of his own customized killing machine.

"Forgive me," he said, the words barely more than a whisper. It was a fool's move to delay a mission, so he slid into his favorite jacket and left the room with all its heaviness behind.

Crimsyn could feel himself slipping into his usual persona as Dakota's apartment came into view, a slight smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.

They had trained him well, and as much as he disagreed with Thunder and everything they stood for, even he couldn't deny it.

He made his way to her door in silence, but the sparkle had returned to his eyes. Knocking plainly, it seemed almost as though this were just another ordinary day... and really, it was.

"Hello? Did someone here order a thousand dollar's worth of pineapple pizza?"

Crimsyn snickered quietly, just imagining her response.
