- Sanguinia: The realm vampires and angels inhabit.
Vampire: The blood drinking magical beings that inhabit most of Sanguinia. They have elemental abilities, and mostly reside within various kingdoms.
Angels: The winged magical beings that inhabit lesser parts of Sanguinia, and who have a disdain for vampire-kind. Their magic is specifically attuned against vampires, and they feed on the life force of other living creatures. It is said their blood is toxic to vampires. They also have elemental bloodlines and magic, similar to vampires.
Humans: Non-magical beings that inhabit a realm linked to Sanguinia by portals all around both realms, though hidden on the human's end. Their blood is known to be particularly delicious, second only to other vampires.
The Slayers of the Holy Sun: Also known as the 'Slayers' or 'The Holy Sun', these humans are those who wish to wipe out vampire kind. They have partnered with the angels, who showed them the portals. Their theme colors are Ivory #FFFFF0 and Jasmine #F8DE7E.
Moonbeam Resistance: In response to the Slayers of the Holy Sun infiltrating Sanguinia, the Moonbeam Resistance formed to fight back against them. Their theme colors are Royal Purple #6B3FA0 andHex Midnight Blue #000033.
Holy Weapons: The weapons used by the Holy Sun, blessed by the angels to be able to use and channel magical abilities. When humans use them, it takes one year off their lifespan per magical ability activation, given to the angel who blessed it to feed off of.
Note: More terms may be added when necessary. - ☪ Do not drink more than you need from a human. Do not drain them, especially. That will turn them. To turn one without their permission is a grave sin.
☪ Vampires produce more blood to be able to sate each other, and therefore eliminate the need to drink from humans. However, this is strictly limited to young children drinking from parents before learning to hunt and lovers as an act of intimacy.
☪ In the human realm, act as the humans do. Erase the memories of the humans you drink from so that your identity is kept secret.
☪ The Crown Royal of a Kingdom must share the same element as the kingdom's bloodline is known for.
☪ More rules of note may be added when necessary. - Cindervale: The kingdom associated with the element of fire. Its territory is volcanic and ash-covered and contains hot springs. The land has natural laval pools, and their shores are covered in black sand. Cindervale's theme colors are Flame #E25822 and Nectarine #FF3300.
Cascadecove: The kingdom associated with the element of water. Its territory is an archipelago with a tropical environment. There are many beaches, and the waters are kept fairly clean and fishers are careful not to overfish and deplete populations. The capital is on the central and largest island. Cascadecove's theme colors are Surf #63D1F4 and Pearl Aqua #88D8C0.
Cragpeak: The kingdom associated with the element of earth. Its territory is mountainous and rocky. Cliffs are carved into the mountainside, and its rugged terrain protects it from attacks. It's close to Iridiumglen, and the two have a favorable relationship. Cragpeak's theme colors areEnglish Walnut #3E2B23and Copper Rose #996666.
Lifemeadow: The kingdom associated with the element of nature. Its territory is a lush and fertile land good for growing crops and raising livestock. Flowers grow aplenty here, and it has many popular destinations to host weddings and important events. Lifemeadow's theme colors are Spring Green #00FF7F andEverglade #1C402E.
Gleamgrove: The kingdom associated with the element of light. Its territory is lightly forested, the sun peaks through the leaves and branches. Light breezes also blow through the land, rustling them and changing where luminance bleeds through. Gleamgrove's theme colors are Honey #FEE5AC and Dark Amber #FF7E00.
Gloomhollow: The kingdom associated with the element of darkness. Its territory is densely forested, with very little light coming. The land is not good for most crops, but mushrooms thrive. The tree's woods are of colorful hues and have elemental properties, and therefore are popular for woodworking. Gloomhollow's theme colors areSmokey Black #100C08andRegalia #522D80.
Tempestdune: The kingdom associated with the element of wind. Its territory is an arid desert, prone to sandstorms due to raging gales. Most settlements are protected by walls and have an oasis. It imports a lot of water from other settlements, and as such, is usually considered to be very friendly and welcoming. Tempestvale's theme colors are Mist #BCED91 and Tree Moss #659D32.
Iridiumglen: The kingdom associated with the element of metal. Its territory is rugged and mineral and ore rich, making it a hot spot for mining and smithing. It's very close to Cragpeak, and the two are on good terms. It currently has no crown royal, nor a queen consort, as the elderly king's only daughter disappeared one day without a trace and is presumed dead. Iridiumglen's theme colors are Aluminum #A9ACB6 andOnyx #0F0F0F.
Winterfield: The kingdom associated with the element of ice. Its territory is a harsh, arctic tundra, covered in perpetual frost. It is known for talented weavers and tailors due to the cold climate requiring warm clothing, and many venture out to learn to make garments for other climates and expand their businesses. Winterfield's theme colors are Blizzard Blue #ACE5EE and Snow #FFFAFA.
Circuitsteppe: The kingdom associated with the element of electricity. Its territory is a grassland with little forest, and scattered lakes. It is prone to heavy storms and lightning, the sky often covered by dark clouds. Lightningrods cover the landscape. Circuitsteppe is also known to be fairly technologically advanced, and have recreated human technologies and made them widespread. Circuitsteppe's theme colors are Candlelight #FCD917 and Harvest Gold #DA9100.
Purewing: The kingdom of angels, and the base of operations for the Slayers of the Holy Sun. The Kingdom of Purewing is mostly underground in systems of caves for secrecy and in order to not run into vampires. Marble and quartz pillars are a staple of their architecture, as well as stained glass. Purewing's theme colors are Pearl #F0EAD6 and Light Quartz #D9D9F3.
Note: More kingdoms may be added in the future, as well as elaborating on potential traditions. - "How does elemental inheritance work?": If both parents share the same element, so will all the children. (If both parents have the elemental affinity of fire, all the children will.) If they are different, then the child's will be random. (Parent A has fire, and Parent B has water, so any child they have will have either water or fire.) The crown royals tend to be arranged to a child from a noble family that shares the same element. However, the form a specific vampire or angel's abilities take beyond overall kinesis and control is not genetic - if Parent A's manifests as creating elemental constructs and Parent B's manifests as creating clones out of their element, their children do not to use their powers in that way and could have, as an example, elemental healing or illusions.
"How do vampires and angels age?": Vampires age normally for the most part, with a few extra years or decades added on? to their lifespans (Average lifespan of 120 years) The same goes for angels.
"Can a human and vampire have a relationship, provided that the human is unaware of the vampire being such?": Yep! Not all humans are completely against vampires, so if said human can keep a secret, there's probably some people who don't quite follow the rules...
"Can a human and vampire have a child?" Yes! Halflings have the sharp fangs, increased senses, and longer lifespan, but don't require blood to survive.
