Fantasy Welcome to the Freakshow

Tang let her drag him along behind as she rushed them away from the lake. He had thought her to be cute in that moment of her face turning embarrassed. Although, he wouldn't voice his opinion about aloud and even less likely to Jayden's face directly. "was it that bad? i was the only other one there. so at least it wasn't the worse case scenario."

@ThePumpkinQueen

"Don't sound like you enjoyed it," Jayden warned, stopping by their tree to rest. She put on her black shoes, out of breath from running. Most everybody was in bed. Her bra had been lost in the waters. Good riddance, fickle thing, Jayden thought. She looked back up at Tang.

@Shiro kurogane

"..." Tang closed his mouth thinking better of replying to that. "in any case, you need a better bra." He let a small teasing smile touch his lips. Tang had left his shirt back at the lake, but that didn't matter.

@ThePumpkinQueen

"Certainly not one like you. You were an awful bra. Hardly covered a thing," Jayden said, teasing him back. She smiled a bit, feeling genuinely happy. "Anyway, we should get some sleep."

@Shiro kurogane

"yeah, yeah." Tang said uttering a small chuckle. "and yes, we should." Tang jumped into their tree and settled himself on a branch with enough leaves to block out most winds. "though, im gonna sleep here for tonight."

@ThePumpkinQueen

"Fine." Jayden called back as she disappeared into the shack. The girl collapsed on her bed, kicking her shoes off. As her breath slowed the girl fell into a sleep of nightmares.

@Shiro kurogane

Tang watched Jayden enter the shack before turning his gaze to the stars. He rematerialized Daydream who was clearly mad about having been forgotten about earlier. It would be yet another sleepless night as he tended not to sleep in order to avoid unwanted memories of his own, to resurface.

@ThePumpkinQueen

Jayden let out muffled whimpers, turning in her sleep. Her roommates had to be used to it by now. In her sleep, she was sobbing, an immemorable nightmare taking place inside her head.

Moon slowly drifted off to sleep, curled up inside his wings. He was still back-stage, but everyone either left him alone or didn't see him in the first place. He didn't necessarily need to sleep, but it was a nice way to escape reality. Not to mention, he had heard that lots of people with amnesia recalled their memories in dreams. Eventually he woke up and went down to the lake. It was still dark, but when the sun came up he would be sitting on the shore waiting for it. Sunrise was one of his favorite parts of the day.

"And tomorrow you'll perform! Your tricks better be as good as you say, else we'll kick you out, freak."

She was bustled along the corridor in the night; this wasn't what she had signed up for, but she had no choice. Who else would accept her. She looked like a normal girl on the outside, until you looked hard enough and noticed that her eyes were different colours. The left eye was green, and the right eye was yellow. That was the least of her problems. As she was shoved into her 'room' - which was much more like a broom cupboard, she sat down onto a barrel and took off her duster jacket. Underneath, some of her skin was covered in scales and they glimmered in the moonlight that broke through the tiny hole that they were clearly trying to pass off as a window.

After it had grown silent, she began to hear soft whimpering cries, she pressed her ear to the wall and as she did her scaled arms and legs began to morph against the wooden panels. She had camouflaged herself against the wall. Her eyes faded into a muddy brown. She wanted to call out to her neighbour - but thought better of it. She slid down the wall and curled herself into a ball, falling asleep. A good nights rest was required for her first performance tomorrow.

Tang still lay awake in the tree and was watching the starry skies slowly being tinted orange to indicate the soon to come day. Daydream was sleeping atop his stomach and showed no signs of moving anytime soon. Tang let his mind wonder freely, which wasn't always a good thing as it was 50/50 on whether he'd remember unwanted things or just remember pointless things he'd seen during his travels.

Ras was sat on a bench, cross legged. It looked up and let out a sigh and looked up at the sky thinking to itself. Tomorrow it will have to perform, it's act of course was simply showing its strength and fighting ability, which was fun for it. It loved to fight ever so much. It was a brutal and merciless fighter, showing pleasure and enjoyment in crushing its enemies. It was just hoping no fool would get in its way, the last time anyone got between it and its enemies, well, the poor man wasn't recognisable as a human afterwards. The crowd always goes wild for it too, to see it tossing wild beasts, like gorillas and rhinos around like paperweights. Sometimes it was even pitted against other freaks. This is what it loved the most, beasts posed little challenge for it, but other freaks could do what other could not and it loved to fight them. It always wore clothing that showed as little of its appearance as possible, its appearance was, strange to say the least, and whenever anyone saw it, they'd usually scream "monster" and run.

"Hey kid! This is the last stop, so get off will ya!"

Abel grasped onto his leather suitcase as the large and hoarse sounding man screamed in his direction. This was his stop, in what seemed to be the dirtiest, marshiest place he'd ever been to; compared to the bustling city he lived in before at least. He stood up and looked behind himself, all the other seats were vacant apart from his own.

"Thanks." Abel muttered, slowly stepping off the elevated grounds of the bus. It soon disappeared in a cloud of dust, driving in the opposite direction that Abel was to head towards. He began his journey down a dirt road to reach a bench, seeing someone with a dark cloak covering most of their body. Only his hands and feet were open to look upon, and from that moment Abel knew he had just approached someone like himself. "Hey, can ye' give me directions towards the..." He paused momentarily and took a paper card from his pocket. "Freak Shack?" He read aloud to the stranger.

The lake is such a lovely place, though the beach is kinder. The chaos makes it calm. Like me. Xanecka thought as she moved her feet back and forth through the water, not daring to go in. Now, where is this freak ? I shack wasn't actually paying attention until the man pointed to the woods and said 'near the lake'. She lifted her feet out of the water and started climbing a tree, attempting to see something from higher ground. Xanecka became side tracked though when she found a flower that was dark enough to look like the night sky and it had little white speckles that could be stars. She loved and hated the night, so this flower gave her too much to think about, yet so little that she forgot about it in a moments notice. Suddenly, she heard the sound of footsteps and she became silent.
