Fantasy Warring Nations Unite

Leonard sighed a little as he looked at the two of them, “Look I’m sorry that you two are being forced to marry... I’m sorry that this is a shitty situation for everyone, but getting angry at each other is not helping.” He said as he looked st both of them for a moment. “Akitka, go to your room and just be alone if you want to be alone. I’m sorry this has happened, but we are royalty and this is what we do. This is the price of being royal.” He said as he had learned that a long time ago.

Akitka looked at her father, “fine... I hate you.” She said before running from the room crying and Leonard shook his head and sighed a little. “I’m sorry Levian... I am really sorry about this mess that your mother and I got you into.” He said as he got up once more and stood upright. “We can talk later my boy,” he whispered as he felt bad because he knew that neither one had a particularly easy life. He was hoping that they could bond over the loss of a parent, but he was wrong and he should have known better.

When Akitka left, Levian felt bad... Not because of what he had said to her. No. He had meant it. She was being a baby and it was time for her to grow up. No, Levian felt bad for the king.

Akitka was all he had left, and the only reminder of his wife on the earth. And he had to give her away or risk the destruction of her kingdom, all while battling a painful disease.

His daughter however didn't realize just how much he was giving up. As a guy he knew it took a certain amount of will and strength to give away what meant the most to him. It brutally damaged ones pride. Not many guys or Monarchs in general could do what Leonard did.

Levian truly respected the king. He handled all of lifes problem with his head held up high, and didn't ask for anyone's help. The young prince didn't want to add more problems to the kings plate if he could.

"I'm sorry for losing control of my self." He said when Akitka left. "I can go apologize if you'd like."

Leonard shook his head carefully and sighed, “I fear talking to her now would only anger her more. She’s a woman and more than that she’s very much like me. Hit hesded and ready to share her opinion. She will learn soon though that she can’t be this way all the time, it will just cause issues.” He said as he sighed a little, “also if I hadn’t married her to end the war I would have had to marry her off to continue it. I didn’t want to continue it though.” He whispered, “I’m sorry... I sound selfish now.” He admitted as he shook his head and sighed a little bit. “Even now I fear that I will not have anything for an heir and this damn war will just start again.” He admitted as he rubbed the back of his head.

“I can sorry, I feel guilty for what I’m putting your kids through.” He stated as he looked at a Levian and smiled softly, “I just hope one day you two can look back on this and laugh if I’m being honest. I want both of you to be happy... I know it seems like it won’t happen, but who knows what the future holds for you two.” He said chuckling as he wondered how they would ever recover from all this.

"You're not selfish." Levian blurted out. "You know, you might think that this your fault. And just because i'm younger I won't be able to understand and this and that.. But don't beat yourself up."

"My mom started this, and you didn't. I was eighteen, a grown man, I should've said something. I didn't even though I knew what she was doing was wrong." The prince stared at the ground. He had been so weak back then. Like a dog.

Whatever his mom ordered he would do without the blink of the eye. It sickened him when he thought about it. Even though his mother couldn't care less about him, he had loved her then.

She was his only living family and The wife of his father. He held on to her.

"I should be the one apologizing, not you. Because of me you won't see your daughter as much, and you lose an heir."

Leonard looked at Levian and smiled softly as he looked at him and shook his head, “it’s okay boy.” He whispered as he looked at him. “You were a child and didn’t understand what was going on.” He stated as he looked at him and smiled.

He went and hugged him carefully, “just remember that no matter what your father would be happy with you and would always be proud of you.” He said as he felt bad that he blamed himself.

“Besides, I made a clause in case things clear up between the two of you.” He admitted and rubbed the back of his head, “if you two do every produce more than one heir I requested that one of them be my heir since I won’t have one. Believe me, I’ve made my mistakes and that it probably one of them.” He stated as he did feel guilty of that.

Levian looked down, shaking his head slowly. "Eighteen is no longer a child."

He picked his head up when the king mentioned his plan concerning having an heir. "If we somehow do end up having a kid, which is extremely unlikely, I'll do anything in my power to mold him as your heir."

Obviously, he knew his mother wouldn't like that, but Levian was his own man and he made his own decisions.

Leonard chuckled, "you remind me of Katrina a bit with that attitude. She told her family repeatedly we would never produce children. She hated me when we married, because like Akitka it was for political gain, just more on the side of Katrina's kingdom than mine. She swore we would never produce any children and then a year later... well things changed." He said smiling, "never lose faith my boy, give my daughter some time, she will become more somber as she adjusts. She's stubborn like me, but she's compassionate like her mother." He said as he knew he had to give Levian some hope that this was all just a phase.

Leonard sat down once more and sighed, "I think I shall rest for a wee bit. The pain medicines, even when they aren't supposed to, make me quiet tired." He said smiling softly yo Levian, "we can speak further when I awaken." He said as he was growing more tired with the moment.

Levian thought about what King Leonard said, and even though he respected the hell out of him he didn't agree. The two were just different, and were like strangers. If they had kids, key word being if, it would probably take years for it to happen.

King requested to be left alone so he could rest. Levian nodded, collecting the tray he had brought and the empty glass.

"Hopefully by the dinnertime, or whenever you wake, the pain will have already left. If not lessened considerably." He stated, bowing slightly before exiting.

The prince handed the tray off to a maid who insisted she could take it since she was going to the kitchen anyway, and headed to the library.

Leonard laid down in his bed once Levian had departed and closed his eyes. He knew that his opinion was unpopular and that to Levian and Akitka it was just an arrangement made to quell the war between the two kingdoms. However, he had hope that they would eventually calm down and adjust to one another.

The next two days were filled with people coming in and out to put the wedding together and to make sure that everything was in place. The day finally came though and for the most part the king and his daughter had been spending their last few days together, trying to get the most out of their remaining days together. However, the night before Akitka had broken down and was demanding that she have a separate room from Levian. However, Leonard wouldn't allow such a thing and neither would many others as it was custom that the husband and wife sleep together so there could be no rumors of infidelity.

However, today was the day and Leonard was making sure Akitka was atleast content with everything. He had stepped in once the maids got her into the dress, which she had altered a little bit. He found the dye job beautiful, the darker, but progressively lighter colors. He offered a kind smile as he brushed his daughters hair and then carefully put her tiara on her head. "Alright, your hair is done, you look beautiful." He stated as he watched her shift in her seat.

Akitka was quiet today, her eyes were red and puffy from tears as she had been crying all morning, hence why no make-up. She looked to her father for a moment, "please don't make me do this." She pleaded and Leonard shook his head, "it is too late Akitka. Today is the day and this is my final word, this is happening." He whispered and Akitka looked down. She couldn't produce anymore tears because she had basically dehydrated herself. However, she was drinking water so that she didn't pass out. "What if I fall ill father? They don't know how to care for me here." She said and Leonard sighed, "Akitka I left them with instructions and the treatments. Now get off your butt and let's go, it's almost time." He said as he helped his daughter up carefully and wiped her eyes carefully.

Days had come and passed and finally the fateful day had arrived. The kingdom of Lux Regnum was bustling with talk and chatter of how the prince was getting married, and the war was ending and etc etc. The couple three days had been so hectic that Levian didn't even have time to fully process he was actually getting married.

Seline had been omnipresent, being everywhere at once. She was so busy she took during naps during lunch and dinner, and relied on fruit for energy.

Oddly enough, during the days leading up to the wedding Levian had barely seen the King and Akitka. The only times he would see them was during lunch where they often times requested it to be sent to their room.

Soon enough the ceremony was set to go in an hour, and the maids were running about preparing for the event. His fathers suit had been tailored to fit him, and he was currently dressed in it. Somehow, wearing the suit, he could feel him fathers gaze on him.

Leonard looked at Akitka and twirled her and smiled softly, "do not worry my child, I will be by your side this entire time. After the wedding there will be a small party, but before that you and Levian will be presented to the public as officially husband and wife. At the party just try to relax and enjoy yourself. You are not losing your freedom, you are gaining a new freedom." He said as he looked at her, "you guys will eventually be crowned... I will return for that, and as far as I'm aware it's set for a year and a half after this day." He said as he was trying to make her atleast have something to look forward to.

Akitka looked at her father and took in a deep breath and nodded her head. "I understand," she whispered as she placed a hand on her stomach as she started to feel slightly off. However, she played it off as nerves as she grabbed her fathers hand tightly. "Let's get this moving," she said as she rubbed her eyes and sighed.

Leonard was surprised at how quick his daughter changed her mind, but he took hold of her hand and sighed a little as he pushed the door open and they were greeted by the florist who was handing Akitka her bouquet. Akitka carefully took hold of the flowers and looked to her father to make sure that he was still by her side.

Leonard offered a king smile to his daughter and then nodded his head, "let's go my darling." He whispered before they started heading towards the location for the wedding, which was the grand hall of the castle.

Levian stared at the mirror, his reflection staring back at him. Same dark brown hair, same blue eyes, same pale skin. Everything was the same, yet so different. At this time a year ago, Levian would be holed up in his room emersed in a book. Instead, he was wearing his fathers suit and about to go out and marry a girl that did not like him.

The prince could not help but wonder what his father would think about his current predicament. Hearing footsteps, Levian turned around to face them. He whipped back around immediately when he saw who it was. Seline. He could feel her icey blue eyes that looked oh so similar to his own, on him.

"You look just like him, you know." She said. She sounded just like how she did back then, when she used to love him. "Levian Romeous. My baby boy."

Levian balled his fists, not saying anything.

"I know you think I don't love you. That I hate you. That I somehow abandoned you. But I love you. I always have, always will. Right now you might not think so, but when your older you'll realize everything I did was for you." Seline whispered.

Levian grit his teeth, before pivoting and exiting the room. He had a wedding to worry about

Akitka maintained her appearance as she sighed a little and looked at the flowers which were all too familiar to her. They were from the garden back home, that she maintained since her mothers death. Specifically these were flowers she planted awhile ago that had taken quiet some time to sprout. She sighed a little as she looked at how red they were, roses, her favorite flower next to lily's.

Leonard looked at his daughter and sighed a little as he noticed her kind of staring off into the flowers. "I figured you would like sometime personal for your flowers." He said as he tried to keep her from being quiet for too long, less time to think about everything.

Akitka looked up to her father for a moment and took in a deep breath, "they are beautiful... I will miss them though." She admitted, "do you think you could send me some seeds from home?" She asked curiously as she had to do something to make this feel like her home.

Leonard looked at Akitka and nodded his head smiling softly, "of course I can. I know where you and your mother both hid the seeds. I will send some to you once I return home," he whispered before becoming kind of glum himself. He was going back to a castle full of servants, no one from his family. His siblings had passed away long ago due to illness and that made the halls of his castle a ghost town, not that it hadn't been since Katrina died.

Akitka looked at her father, "please don't make me sleep in the same room as him father." She stated in one last ditch attempt to atleast get some privacy.

Leonard sighed a little and shook his head, "Akitka, you know why you two can't sleep in different rooms. What you do during the day is your own business, but there can be no way to make rumors of infidelity." He stated as he sighed a little, "I'm sorry my darling, but this is how life is." He said as they neared the grand hall. It was filled with many people and as you approached you could hear people talking.

Akitka sighed as she nodded her head carefully, "my cousin is here?" She asked and Leonard nodded his head, "yes. She actually got here this morning with a surprise." He said chuckling, "on her journey her husband, the King of Tratunum had to deliver their son." He said smiling and Akitka laughed a little bit as she looked at her father, "ahh so the young prince is here." She said and Leonard nodded his head, "his name is Peter after his uncle." He stated and smiled a little bit, "so excuse her if she can't walk to much, but she didn't want to miss the wedding and insisted on coming even though George was insisting they turn back and take their son home." He stated and Akitka nodded her head, "I'll have to thank George later for letting Ashley come even though Peter was born." She admitted as she took in a deep breath.

Levian headed to the grooms room, where the majority of males stayed while the wedding was being prepared. When he entered he heard a round of applause but ignored it. From the outside looking in, the war would end if the prince married a gorgeous exotic princess from another country. A win-win for both side. Everyone thought he had it easy, some were even spiteful.

And Levian agreed. He did have it easy. Whilst others had to go die in war, all Levian had to do was get married.

From within the crowd Levian noticed a familiar face.

"Levi!" Devin greeted, coming up to the prince and shaking his hand. Levian smiled and returned the shake

"Today's the day, huh." Devin breathed, pulling away and wrapping his hands behind his kneck.

Levian sighed. "Yeah, today is the day."

Leonard decided to take Akitka to visit her cousin before the wedding as he figured that might help her a little bit. So, he turned himself a little and guided his daughter towards the room where Ashley was resting after the delivery of her son, waiting for the wedding. He pushed the door open and smiled softly, "Ashley, you feeling okay?" He inquired as he poked his head in.

Ashley lifted her head up and smiled softly as she looked towards the door. "I'm awake, George just left to get himself a small meal." She said as she pushed herself up and smiled softly. "Oh Akitka, come meet Peter!" She said as she was all excited.

Akitka left her fathers side and went to view the infant laying in a cot next to his mother. He was tiny, but he was surprisingly long. He was asleep, curled up in a blanket as he rested as well. Akitka didn't dare touch him as she didn't want to wake him. "I'm glad you could make it," she said smiling happily as she looked at Ashley. "I'm glad you can come... though if you need to stay here for the day don't worry, just knowing your here helps." She whispered as she looked at her cousin.

Ashley looked at Akitka, "oh Kitty, being married isn't all that bad. You will learn to love the prince one day." She said as she reached over and rubbed her cousins cheek. "Let yourself adjust though Kitty, don't just give up because times are tough right now. There are plenty of women who get married for political gain." She stated, "George and I got married for political gain, though we were childhood friends before." She admitted as she smiled softly.

Akitka looked at Ashley and sighed a little, "I don't think I'll like this." She stated and Ashley nodded her head, "it's quiet alright Kitty, don't cry." She whispered and Akitka nodded her head, "well I better go... I love you Ash." She said as she hugged her cousin who hugged her back. "Congratulations Kitty." She whispered before watched King Leonard guide his daughter towards the door.

Levian looked up sighing as two guards entered the room. He knew what it meant. By the looks of it, Devin knew too.

Levian gave his friend a two finger salute, before rising and following the guards. The guys applauded again as they left, but this time Levian paid them no mind.

Leonard held onto his daughter as they departed the room leaving Ashley to rest with her newborn son. He knew how important it was for them to rest, but he was glad that she came regardless because she could atleast try to come and visit during the wedding and then leave later on or in the morning.

Soon he heard the bells toll and he looked to Akitka, “it is time.” He whispered to his daughter as he stopped to look at her. “It’s best we slow down, the Prince neeeds to be there first.” He whispered as he held onto his daughter.

Akitka looked at her father as the bells tolled and listened to his words closely and sighed as she nodded her head. She knew all to well that the prince had to be waiting for her at the end of the aisle. She didn’t like this one bit and she honesty wished she could run away, but it wasn’t even worth it because she had no where to go and she knew this was her duty. “How long must we wait?” She inquired as she looked at her father.

Leonard thought for a moment, “until the bells stop.” He whispered as this was heartbreaking for him too and he hoped Akitka realized that. He hoped his daughter realized that he was losing her and it was breaking his heart inside.

The guards left Levian at a small narrow room decorated with flowers, and paintings of his ancestors on their wedding days. Further down the long list of portraits Levian spotted one that looked familiar. Romeus dei Bellator it said on the mantel. Romeus the Warrior of God.

Levian bowed to it, just as the bell rang. With a deep breath, he adjusted his suit slightly before heading out to the aisle

Leonard waited for the bells to start to slow down before he started to carefully guide his daughter towards the grand hall once more. They reached the doors as the bells stopped tolling and he took his position and sighed a little as he looked to Akitka and smiled softly. "You look beautiful my dear," he said as he made sure her tiara was still on straight. "Your mother would have been so happy to see you in this tiara, her tiara." He said as he watched her closely and waited patienly.

Akitka looked at her dad and sighed a little bit as she touched the tiara carefully. "I lose it after this though," she whispered and Leonard shook his head. "This is your tiara and no one can take it from you, not even Seline." He stated as the music started playing and he took a deep breath.

He nodded his head to the guards to open the doors and his heart started racing as this was the moment he had been dreading since he laid eyes on his daughter. The circumstances weren't ideal, but still this was the moment he had been dreading since her birth. He placed a hand over Akitka's and remained as calm as he could. "Let's go my child," he whispered as he took one step forward. He noticed that Akitka seemed to freeze though.

Akitka couldn't take the step forward when her father did as she couldn't stand how many people were looking at her, no one she knew was in visible sight and she started to freak out. Leonard looked to his daughter, "everything is okay." He whispered, "these are your new people." He said as calmly as he could to try and snap his daughter out of the trance. Akitka finally looked to her dad, "I'm scared." She admitted and he nodded his head, "daddy is right here, he will make sure nothing happens." He stated and Akitka nodded her head before taking the step forward finally, after maybe 30 seconds of delay that felt like it could have easily been hours.

Leonard guided his daughter down the aisle, going slow as to make sure his daughter stuck with him. After all, he was much taller than his daughter and if he took big steps it would take her two steps to catch up to him. Soon though they reached the end of the aisle and he lifted her veil off from her face and kissed her cheek. "I love you, now run along." He said as he released her hand carefully, which took some fenagling, but he was able to free his daughter, or more like himself.

Akitka was really starting to not feel well as she felt her father untangling her from his arm, which she had a tight grip on. His words didn't even hit her as she simply nodded her head in response and moved herself up the small steps infront of her to take her spot next to Levian.

Levian stepped out of the room and into the aisle, patiently waiting for his soon to be bride. When she arrived he was blown away by how stunning she looked. However, he quickly saw the gloomy look on her face and frowned.

Leonard went and sat down and sighed a little as he really hoped that this would all be okay, just his daughter wouldn't be too glum throughout the entire thing. He wanted nothing more than to make her happy, let her have a choice in all of this, but this war needed to end and after this him and Seline had to go sign the treaty declaring peace for their Kingdoms.

Akitka looked at Levian for a moment, examining him once more and she tried to offer the best smile she couldn't, but it kind of was half assed. She thought he actually looked pretty good in his suit, it fit him well, the red and everything. She knew she was upsetting him though and decided to turn her head forward while the priest talked.

It seemed like forever before they actually got to the exchanging of rings. The priest looked to Levian for a moment and nodded his head as the person holding the rings came forward. Akitka got a look at her own ring for a moment and she recognized it all to well. She had thought it long gone, taken away with the rest of her mothers possessions, but there it was. The blue sapphire and all in it's glory, diamonds surrounding the rock in the center. It had clearly been resized to fit Akitka's finger, but it still looked at beautiful as she had remembered it. She didn't recognize Levian's though, but she assumed it was possibly a family heirloom of sorts.

The preist continued on with the ceremony, "Levian, if you could pick up the ring please." He stated before continuing on, "and repeat after me." He soon added and started reciting the next few lines, which he would have to have Akitka say as well.

Levian picked up the ring, and started repeating after the priest. He looked at the ground the entire time, because he couldn't get himself to make eye contact with Akitka. He knew she hated his guts, especially after what had happened a few days ago at her fathers room. He somewhat returned the feeling.

It wasn't that he hated her, as a person. He just hated how she acted. So spoiled, and almost like a child. Maybe it was just how the prince was raised.

When his father died, his mothers spirit died with him. So, he had to grow up fast. He never really had a childhood after. While kids were busy playing outside and having fun with friends, Levian was holed up in his room readinv books about diplomacy and educating himself about government and economy.

They were raised completely different, which gave them opposing views on life.

The priest finished what he was saying and waited patiently while Levian put the ring onto Akitka's finger. Once that was done he looked to Akitka, "Akitka, if you could lift up the ring for Levian and repeat after me." He said and he started repeating what he had Levian said.

Akitka lifted the ring up carefully, though she was nervous she would drop it and then that someone would be pissed because she would have to pick it up. She repeated the words as well and once at the end she put the ring of Levian's finger. She didn't have the heart to look of Levian either if she was being honest. She had basically just spent the time looking at his hand, waiting until she had to put the ring on.

The priest continued on to the end of the ceremony and closed his book once he finished. "Levian, you may now kiss your bride." He said as it was a custom that they would kiss at the end, whether they wanted to or not was none of his concern.

Akitka finally raised her eyes from the ground and looked at Levian, just waiting, though she did lean forward a little bit. To her this was almost like signing a contract to be unhappy the rest of her life. Her father had tried to correct the behavior over the last few days, but right now nothing was getting through. She just knew what she had to do and how it differed from what she wanted to do.

Levian eyes widened slightly at what the priest said. You may now kiss the ride. What?! Levian had not thought about the usual custom that all couples had to do before they got married. It was something so simple and routine but he had completely forgotten about it.

Would Akitka even agree to this? He looked at her, and although he could see the reluctance on her face, she leaned her body closer to his. It was up to him. He had never kissed a girl before.

Nonetheless, Levian leaned in, and pursed his lips, not moving forward. Akitka would have to meet him half way

Akitka looked at Levian for a moment and paused a little bit as she wasn't sure what to do, but someone behind her nudged her a bit. She hadn't even realized that there was a woman behind her, probably a maid that got chosen to make sure they sealed this. She kind of grumbled a little bit and leaned herself forward a bit more.

Leonard chuckled a little as he shook his head and let a smile form on his lips. He wasn't surprised at the kids reluctance to kiss eachother, after all there were many things they were both going through and to have to actually do something that seemed to trivial, it was kind of hard and he could understand that. After all, Katrina had been reluctant to kiss him when they married, probably a little more reluctant if he he was being honest. From his memory she made him come to her in order to kiss her at the end of the wedding.

Akitka was awkward as well, but she had been taught this custom, but had never actually kissed a boy. So, this was her first kiss and it was with someone she didn't even know and that she didn't quiet like. However, it didn't change the fact that this was her husband now, as much as the thought pained her.

She just wanted this to be over with, so she made sure that their lips actually touched. It wasn't the most romantic by a long shot, but it still got the crowd clapping their hands. She pulled away from the kiss and took in a deep breath. Well, she wouldn't have to do that ever again atleast. She looked out to the crowd and sighed a little bit as the priest announced behind them, "I now present Prince Levian Romeus and Princess Akitka Elizabeth Mary Romeus." He said as he just assumed that the princess would be taking Levian's name, which pissed Akitka off to say the least, but she knew better than to make a scene and simply clenched her fist, causing it to bleed.

Leonard noticed this and sighed a little as he hoped no one else noticed. As long as it didn't get on the dress chances were no one would notice it unless she waved with that hand. He looked to Seline and sighed, "the deal is done." He said to her simply, "we should let the kids present themselves to the public for the first time and go sign our peace treaty." He stated as he got up from his seat carefully.
