Fantasy Vampire Corps of Eldergaard (Ooc)

Leo makes everybody’s lives harder because he’s an agent of chaos and it’s his job. He’s like the goose from the untitled goose game. It’s a lovely morning in Eldergaard, and he is a horrible vampire.

Rose KNOWS he makes people nervous and it makes his job much easier, but he also very much misses people who are actually comfortable around him. He’s secretly very glad to have Leo back but he would rather DIE than admit it.

Alyx is very fond of her agent of chaos but if he could please stop antagonizing the dangerous man that would be great.

Astrid thinks Rose is very cool with his sciency ship and his mechanical arm and his tattoos but she would never say so to Alyx because Alyx would probably be like, “never talk to that man again he could probably kill you with a pencil” because Alyx is a worrywart who just needs to relax.

Also Alyx’s book would definitely say:

“Once upon a time there was a young vampire who got drafted into a war to protect her clan. She hated her captain at first but then they became friends. Then more vampires joined, and they were all fairly happy. However ONE DAY her captain decided to take this freaking princess hostage. That didn’t go as planned because the worst admiral ever invaded their ship and saw through their lie (because Maksim is a prick). And the commander had to lie and get herself captured to protect her crew. But the princess decided to tick everyone off but blowing stuff up instead of being sneaky. So the engineer melted a ring on the prick’s face while the princess blew a hole in the ship. And then the princess pulled them all out of the ship into a free fall, which was about as fun as it sounds.
Fortunately, the commander’s captain and one of her fledglings came to rescue her! Unfortunately, they did so in a unnerving mercenary’s ship. Then there was a fight on the tiny ship and the mercenary threatened to murder the fledgling and everyone had to surrender.
Then the little ship got blown out of the sky, which was horrible. They all lost a lot of blood and the poor fledgling bit the mercenary. The captain had to give some of her blood to the commander. The princess gave some of her blood to the fledgling, which was nice, but then she revealed she was planning on making an alliance with a separatist clan. What will happen when they meet up with the clan? Terrible things. But those will be in the second book. If everyone doesn’t die which will honestly be a miracle at this point. The End.”

Also re: vampire clans- i dont really have a good grasp on how vamps in this universe work, so it would prol be best if you wrote for them! but i would certainly be willing to play side characters if you gave me a run down

i was thinking Gigi's old mentor (aka 'the professor', which thus far is their name, job, title, and most of what i know about them!) has already been living and working with the clan for awhile to research ways to break the military's control on the vamps, and that Gigi's communication efforts have been expanded beyond just one clan- or at least she thinks that is the case

basically- Gigi prol wouldn't have come all this way and risked other people if she didnt think she had a chance to influence multiple clans. So maybe Alyx is wrong about what the Salazar clan has been up to recently, OR maybe the Salazar clan has not been honest with Gigi about their outreach efforts

It also occurred to me that maybe there are TWO clans in the area and the gang could get caught between them- either a physical showdown/confrontation or something, or just some classic confusion hi-jinks. Gigi thinks they should be going north, Alyx insists they should be going east- Both are right, because they are actually aiming for different locations without realizing it

BUT the more i think about that the more complicated it gets so maybe not

And I absolutely intended for Alyx to be wrong. She’s been out of touch with the goings on with the clans for nearly five years. Alyx has her reasons for being VERY against this alliance, but the other vampires won’t necessarily agree.

And the style of the clans is very similar to the Council in Bram and Vlad's universe. The clans are basically just large families, but have very few turned humans as they are SUPER picky about who they turn and most Eldergaardians aren't keen on being vampires because of the way the military paints them. And of course they are all small in number due to a war a bit ago that wiped many of the vampires out.

Back when the Eldergaardian military started losing, Astrid's mom went to the clans and told them that they could send their best young vampires or they could be destroyed. Each clan was to send some of their youngish vampires (18yo-40yo y'know, vampire kids), but not all sent more than one (Alyx's clan only sent Alyx because they were pretty decimated during the war and she was their only young vampire) and some refused and retreated (like the Salazar clan). There's a lot of mistrust flying around (at least last Alyx knew) and there's a disagreement between the clans that sacrificed their children and the clans that refused. And most of the clans have started mistrusting those vampires they sent to the military because they think the military has indoctrinated them and they are more Eldergaardian than vampire. This is true in some instances, but not all. Supreme General Leon 100% did that on purpose, hoping it would weaken the clans and hoping to negate the possibility of a Vampire/Allarian alliance.

The professor could definitely be hanging out with them, but vampires are pretty secretive, so the professor might not have gotten enough information to explain where all the vampire squadrons are coming from or even be entirely sure how to convince all the clans to turn on the Eldergaardians. There is definitely a group that has several powerful clans that would like the idea of joining forces, but there will be other clans who think it's too risky.

I'm up for there being two clans, though it would be incredibly complicated. It might be better for simplicity's sake to deal with one for the time being.

Lol, Gigi thinking the Eldergaardians think she has the same skill level as Cyn.
Astrid has decided to rank Cyn as the equivalent to an average ship mage and has Gigi ranked--at best--as a minor mage scholar. She has no idea Gigi can do the science Cyn can do and more.
Alyx has honestly not even thought about it. She has Gigi ranked as #1 pain-in-the-ass at this point (Leo is #2, but Alyx is significantly fonder of Leo than she is of Gigi). She's also freaking out a bit here as it appears just about everyone she cares about is in danger, so no, she's not thinking clearly. She has until dark to pull herself together. xD

I was thinking I'd have the Salazar clan meet them once night fell, does that sound good? Alyx may or may not warn Rose just to see if he can sense when vampires are nearby. xD

Oh that would be fun.

Rose is very good at reading his environment but he's not actually magic, Alyx! He will likely notice people nearby, but he'll be super pissed if she tests him. Not that he'll say anything about it, he'll just seeth silently. He can't even climb a tree to brood grumpily in one-handed.

Alyx is convinced Rose is some Allarian super-human. He MIGHT be genetically engineered to sense vampires or something, she has no idea. xD
And if he can’t sense vampires, how fast can he dive into the bushes? Alyx needs to know!

I'm not opposed to them meeting with the clan soon BUT they could also run into some magic/beasts/conflict if we wanted? also if we wanted characters to have more personal talk time, if they camped out they could take turns on watch or something

Rose is just one of those people who would totally live in the woods as a hermit if he could and if that means setting up trash lines, so be it! Also he does not trust their magic. Clearly, if Gigi could blow a hole in their magic ship, it must not be too great.

Bahaha, I'm Team Rose-Retires-In-A-Cottage.
Also, I wouldn't judge something's integrity based on if Princess Georgiana can blow a hole in it. I feel like that's one of her talents.

Also, Astrid doesn't know how she wants the pairs to look, but she knows that she does NOT want it to be Gigi and Leo because those two would spend their entire watch trying to out-sass each other and NO ONE would get any sleep.

i love that he wants to 'retire in one piece', as though he hasn't already lost a piece....

also do we have any preferences for how watches are divided?

logistics/mathwise if we want a character from each nation on each watch AND a character from each writer, Gigi and Leo will have to do a shift together- otherwise Leo has to do a shift with Rose or Cyn, and that would be an all-Miko interaction

(which im not opposed to cuz i would love to see leo interact with either of them more! but i figured i should point it out)

Rose wants to take watch with Alyx because she’s the most dangerous and he figures he has the best chance of besting her lol.

Personally, I totally be down for Rose and Leo on watch together, but Alyx wOULD NOT

Bahaha, I sat and thought how Astrid would divide it up, and she started off from, "K, NOT Leo and the princess". But she figured Rose and Alyx would end up on watch together because they're both like >.> <.< and she figured Alyx would not trust him with Leo or Astrid and guessed Rose would feel best not being asleep while Alyx was awake xD

So I guess that leaves us with:

Gigi/Leo
Rose/Alyx
Cyn/Astrid

That looks fine to me, ahaha

Yeah I’m cool with that too! Or if we wanted Astrid to keep grilling Gigi about her time in prison, I also don’t mind Leo-cyn and Gigi-Astrid.
