So, a slot for Sailing Master/Navigator just opened up. So if one of you opted to have that navigation as a skill and want to get bumped into a named role lemme know. I can't remember who but I think some people put it in as a skill, just fml if I can remember anything this early in the morning.

I was interested until I remembered that my original idea for Placide's introduction was to have hin row out of the mist near Rumblood Island, look around for a second, and pull out a sea-soaked map upside down, then mutter to himself "Where am I?" And if I wanted that joke to work, I needed him to have not a singular grain of navigational intelligence.

And now you have all seen a glimpse into the writing process for Placide. Aka, "How to make a man who can summon hellraiser-like body horror demons become a comic relief character in three easy steps!"

I mean, I had to stick to the general theme of "Priests are comic relief" that Harper created. So while Placide is rather useful in the whole ancient artifacts business, he's practically worthless outside of bookkeeping and murder.
