Fantasy Trapped.

Kaiden looked at his own arm as the burning sensation began. "Looks like we have a time limit." He said through his teeth as went back upstairs for the third time, back to Reyna. "Lucky you." He said to Reyna, mainly because she didn't feel the burning sensation like the rest of them, mainly because she was inside the whole time. He would test it to see how long the burning sensation will last, if it took him thirty seconds to get up then he would have to add it too the total. He put his hand out the door, to see how long the burning will last or if it was gone as soon as they got in their room. Okay. So it resets when we are in the room. "Your number burns when you are outside for too long." He said to Reyna to explain why everyone was screaming. He listened as someone asked for everyone to be calm, he would start to use his own power of empathy to help push everyone to be calm themselves. "You asked for it." He murmured to himself.

Victor nodded at Blair, "Ok" was all he said before he started rushing down the stairs after her, as he reached his room the pain finally started dissipating, "Oh thank god" Was all he could say, it wasn't fast, but he could feel the pain slowly going away, he walked over to his bed and sat down, the girl he'd seen before was already there, "What the hell is this?" He looked at the numbets on his wrist, "Is this some kind of sick joke?" He heard people yelling, one which seemed to be inside his head, it belonged to Blair, he wondered if she'd made it.

A searing pain pulsated from Darin's wrist, it didn't feel like normal pain. A few seconds passed and the pain increased. He bit his lip and still kept his eyes closed. Then he realised it was the same pain he had first encountered when he woke up. Then he heard a voice within his mind. A...girl's voice? He decided to listen to it and made it back into his room. Relief immediately already through him as the burning ceased. "So That's how they control us." He thought for a moment. He wanted to cut out the number. But he would need Mira's help for that. He was too consumed in his own thoughts that he didn't realize there was someone else in the room with him.

"Really?" Rey asked, looking at Kaiden. "That must be part of it," she added under her breath. She looked at her wrist. I wonder whether or not it burns when your in the room too long . . . She sighed. Rey looked back to Kaiden. "Did you see any books?" she asked, rubbing her wrist again.

Hailey's roommate soon came running in too. "I don't know...I...Me and Mira broke a wall...Maybe it's some kind of defence system? I haven't seen any guards or cameras, and they gotta control us in some way, right?" She could hear yelling to, wich some voices seemed strangly clear, but she blocked them out.

Kaiden blinked, they were in a white room, they had no idea where they were, most of them felt their number start to burn. And she was asking if he had found any books. She is a weird one that is true. The yeller from a few rooms saying it could be a defense, "Then where are they trying to keep us out of. We didn't seem to be anywhere close to a exit" He asks the person still in his own room.

"I think it's an experiment," murmured Rey. "We all have powers, so they cut us off from civilization." She stared blankly at the ceiling, still rubbing the brand. "It has to mean something," she said aloud. Reyna was deep in thought. She blocked out all sounds and decided to think about the burning numbers. If there's a time limit . . . Powers, and this place . . . We're either experiments or they think we're a threat. Theories kept popping up in her mind, yet Reyna didn't know who they were. As she thought, she began to fall asleep again. She didn't notice until her eyes closed.

"Who's to say we even had civilisation in the first place?" Dex replied to Rey, having heard her through the walls. "None of us have any memories. I don't know, man. Maybe we have nothing to remember in the first place." He flopped backwards onto his bed and sighed, rubbing at the feather on his neck.

Reyna woke up, hearing someone talk to her. "We can't be the only ones alive . . ." muttered Reyna. "And powers can't be common, or else we wouldn't be here." Her eyes looked away from the ceiling, refocusing on her wrist. She sat up in her bed and sighed. "We're an experiment, at least, that's my explanation. Some group, without powers, is either afraid of us, or using us," she said, loud enough for everybody to hear her. "If anyone else has a theory, go for it. I'm sticking with mine, as it seems realistic," Rey said. She looked at the floor. There has to be someone out there. Probably watching us . . .

Blair looked at Dexter through her half shut eyes. What he'd said was logical, and definitely not out of the question. What if they'd never been out of this strange facility? It made sense. What if they'd been created to live here? Did they have families outside of this place? Brothers, sisters, friends? Had they ever been to school? Blair started to breathe heavily, feeling panicked and scared. She pulled her knees up and rested her head on them, struggling to keep her emotions in check.

Dexter heard Blair's breath become irregular at his statement and immediately he felt a pang of guilt in his chest. He sat up straight and looked at her intently, trying to get her attention, and said, "Hey, hey, even if I'm right, we can still get out of here. I bet that this'll all be over soon. Deep breaths," he finished, breathing out calm air. "Be calm."

As soon as Dexter spoke, Blair felt less terrified. It was as if he'd transferred some of his calmness into her. She took a few slow, deep breaths and wiped a couple tears from under her eyes. "Sorry. I don't normally act like that," she explained quietly, before apologizing again. "I'm sorry, it won't happen again." She stood up and made her way to the bed, sitting with her back against the wall. "What're we gonna do, Dexter? What're we gonna do?" She asked, her voice trembling. "What if we never get out?"

Hailey opened the door to the corridor slightly and peaked her head outside. She couldn't see anybody, but she couldn't feel anything either. She carefully took a step outside, ready to turn back again if the number reacted, but it didn't. She turned her head back towards the room. "Hey! I think it's chill now." She told her roommate. She walked along the corridor and looked at all the doors. God, they were many. Where all of them really occupied?

Kaiden looked at the group as they started to reach a little bit closer to depression, as they started to make their theories of how they were here and as to why they are here. He was not calm himself, so it wouldn't seem that his power was going to work as he stopped using it. He became a little quiet as he thought of both theories, however theories were all they were, there wasn't any proof behind either of them besides the obvious facts that they already had. He overhead that they could go outside again, walking outside the door, meeting one of the others, probably one that gave them the "All clear". He started to count in his head, to figure out the time limit they had gave us before their arms would start to burn again.

Hailey raised her hand to greet the other person that had came out. She approached him, he seemed pretty shaken. "Hi. I don't think that we have met before? I'm Haily." She smirked and offered him her hand. "Whaddaya think is going on here?"

Reyna stayed in the room. She disliked the idea of going outside again. There was a lot of people in the building. She didn't like talking to people. She was the dark girl, alone and depressed, so she stayed in the room. "Damn this place," she muttered. She put her left wrist near her face, and stared at the number. Is there a pattern? Nothing. She growled angrily and leaned against the wall. There was nothing to do, nothing at all. She didn't feel like talking to people. She didn't feel like seeing people. Why? What is this place? There has to be a reason. She scowled at the air. "Damn it," growled Rey. "Who did this . . ?"

"It'll be fine. Trust me," Dexter said assertively. "What we're going to do is figure out what the hell is going on here so we can leave. I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen if we never leave our rooms." He stood and turned his back to her, walking to the door. "So are you coming or not?" He didn't wait for her answer and just walked out, nodding his head slightly in acknowledgement of the others who had left their rooms too.

Mira held the knife in her hand, and dug it into her skin, around the number. She started cutting the skin around the number, trying to cut it out. She managed to make it all the way around the number, and under it, but as she was about to pull the skin that had the number burned into it, the skin was bound back to her arm. The area around the number was bleeding badly, and she tried to repress a scream, but failed. She ran out into the hallway, blood spurting out of her wound. She frantically searched for a bandage, before running back into her room. She skidded to a stop in front of her bed, and grabbed her sheet. She pulled it off her bed, and wrapped it around her arm. She sighed, calming not down.

Blair huffed, chewed on the inside of her cheek for a moment, then threw the blankets off her and jumped out of bed. She followed close behind Dexter as he walked out of the room. She felt safer around him, since he seemed to know what he was doing. She was cautious as she stepped through the doorway, expecting her wrist to begin burning again, but nothing happened. How peculiar... She thought to herself as she tried to puzzle out how it worked. She accidentally projected the thought to Dexter, as her powers were new and she didn't exactly know how to use them.

"Hello, my name is Kaiden." He said as he gave a small frown as she smirked, holding out his own hand to shake it. "We don't need to know what is going on. How we get out is a better question." Kaiden stated as she asks for a answer, before he pulled his hand back. He then looked back at the room that he just came out off. The numbers still rolling it his head, restarting the numbers every time he reaches sixty seconds. Noticing Reyna's mumbling, he couldn't again hear what she was saying, however he could hear the angry tone in her voice, turning towards the room, "Are you alright?" He asks right outside the door.

Rey looked up at Kaiden. "Sure," she said. "Everything's fine . . . We're all fine." She scanned the room, looking for something. Anything. There's nothing to give us a lead. Whoever did this really doesn't want us escaping, thought Reyna as she subconsciously rubbed her brand. She looked back down at her lap, and noticed it. She decided to sit on her hands and prevent her rubbing from becoming a habit. Rey's wrist began to burn. She looked at it and yelped. "Shit!" said Rey. She jumped off of the bed and calmed herself down. She began walking out, towards the door. As soon as she slipped out of the room, the burning stopped. She reviewed her wrist. What the hell . . ? She looked at the staircase. "I'm going downstairs," she muttered before starting down the steps. She didn't care if anyone heard her or not, she just wanted to have a calm room, without loud noises and weapons.

Hailey heard the scream, and it sounded like Mira. "Mira?" She shouted but got no answer. "I've got to go." She said to Kaiden and started to run. It didn't take long before she saw a bloody trail on the floor. She followed it into a room and saw her with her bedsheet around her arm. "Mira!? What...?" She interupted herself whe she saw a red spot appear on the white sheet. "Shit! Are you crazy?!" She shouted at her.

Dexter bit his lip and looked up at Kaiden. He was right. They couldn't fix anything if all they did was focus on things that had already happened. "Yeah. But we have no clue about that, either," he said, his voice quiet. "Either way, we need to figure out what this place is first. As in, why there's food, and what these brand things are, and, yes, what the everliving fuck that room upstairs is." He tried to ignore what was happening with Mira, not because he didn't care, but because he didn't want it to spark another anxiety attack.

Mira moved her arm to her lap, wincing as she did so. "I, um thought that maybe I could cut out the number. So, I tried to, but, as you can see, it didn't go well. There's no bandages or anything here, so I have to use my sheet."

Hailey looked nervously at the poorly bandaged arm. "You're still bleeding a lot...Wait here." She told her and headed outside again. Maybe she could give someone healing powers, but Mira would be too weak to do it herself. "Hey, anyone! We need help!! Like, right now!" She shouted and hoped that someone would come quickly.
