Fantasy Through The Portal

Bliss gasped and fell to her hands and knees when the Knight ripped away its bounds. She felt as if her own arms and legs had been pulled out of their sockets. The girl was extremely tired already and didn't know if she could offer anything else to the fight. If Bliss had one major weakness; at this point it would definitely be the fact that she can only grow so much before running out of energy. As a car would run out of gas if it went for too long.

Azalea ran backwards a few paces, ceasing her fire blast and breathing heavily. Another enemy was the last thing they needed! But Shin might be on to something... If they could get the two monsters to hit each other, they might have a shot. She doubted they could get the to turn on each other, but if they got close to them, or between them perhaps, they might hit each other instead. As she was pondering this, she noticed Bliss. The other girl seemed to be out of juice. Azalea wasn't surprised, with all the plants she'd grown. Especially since she'd been doing it practically all day by accident. That was bound to have lessened her energy before the fight had even started. She looked from the monsters, to Bliss, and back again. If they saw her and attacked at this point... But running over might only attract their attention. She stayed put, torn.

Shin sighed seeing Bliss tired then ran fast and punched the new monster the retreated getting it's attention he too was getting tired pushing himself like this was putting strain on his body.

Leoch rolled out of the way of the two creatures, uncloaking as he did so. "Kenshi...perhaps we should consider a tactical retreat," he suggested. "Two of our members are out of energy, and there seems to be no known way to put these creatures down." There is no dishonor in falling back from an impossible battle; that was what Leoch's trainers had told him. He hoped they were right.

The second berserker didn't budge from Shin's punch, its muscles are just to hard. The monsters began to slowly advance on the group menacingly.

"Okay, Leoch is right we should fall back. Plus there's more to this then we currently realize. I hold them off and then join you guys but you have to go now!." Ken ordered. He upgraded his Supernatural Condition to Master Level. "Don't worry about me go!" Kenshi boomed as he advanced toward the two monsters.

Azalea realized a plan was in action. "I'll get Bliss." She said, running towards the other girl. "We're leaving, come on. I can help you." She offered her hand, waiting for the other girl to grab it, not wanting to pull her to her feet with out permission. She glanced over her shoulder, keeping an eye on the monsters. She didn't want to be caught with her back turned.

Shin grabbed Azalea and Bliss and bolted at high speed away from the monsters when they were safe he let go of them and fell down. "Ow my everything!!!"

Bliss looked at Kenshi and she touched the ground lightly as s slight green glow traveled along the ground and to him. He was filled with a reenergizing type of feeling before Bliss's voice rang through his head, light and airy, It's a shiled. Touch the ground and run, they will be stalled for a few minutes as the shiled wraps around them. She then grabbed Azalea's hand and looked at Shin.

"Don't try to be a hero, Kenshi," Leoch warned. "If you fall, I won't be able to save the rest of the group." He pointed towards a direction. "Go that way," he yelled. "There's a trail that way! It'll lead you towards the city!"

"Thanks" he whispered as he touched the ground stalling the monsters. But he didn't run, away at least. He instead sped around searching the area, he knew a second monster couldn't come out of no where without him detecting it. That means someone summoned it and he was determined to find out who. As he was running he found himself being fired upon by dark red bullets of magic he dodged them and found himself facing a cloaked figure with a giant sword in hand then a the figure was gone. Kenshi could sense the same of the monsters.

Azalea held onto Bliss's hand as she ran, willing to half drag her if she had to. She followed Shin and Leoch, though her heart was heavy as she did so-- It didn't seem right to leave Kenshi behind while the rest of them ran for their lives. Gritting her teeth, she pressed on. Live now, deal with guilty conscience later. If all of them made it out alive, she'd be content.

"Stop here," Leoch commanded, out of breath. He looked back towards the direction from which they came, hoping that Kenshi was still breathing. "Azalea, lead the rest of the group towards the city. I'll go back and check on Kenshi. Or gather his remains. One or the other."

Kenshi then turned around and began dashing to catch up with the others. No doubt they are probably worried if not openly then on the inside that he has perished in his battle. He saw them in the distance and waved to them over the horizon. He could see Yuushima not too far off.

OOC: I'm going to see a movie, won't be online for a few hours! Sorry guys! Feel free to keep going without me, just don't try and talk to Azalea, drag her along if you want though. xD

"I understand completely Azalea, I spent most if my life free of command. However we are in a foreign land with foreign laws and cultures, so his commands might be saving both ours and his hide" @Shadowflight13

"ALRIGHT THIS IS GONNA HE AWESOME!" Randeruck screams as he manifests his scythe swinging letting loose three energy projectiles, one hitting the knight others hitting the ground causing dust. He jumps into the the dust storm swinging his scythe only to be caught by one of the Knights hands launching bacwards. He hots the ground laughing "hehe who's ready to try out their powers"

Leoch breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the swordsman, though he wondered how he had dealt with the creatures. A small twinge of suspicion entered his mind, but he quickly filed it away. "Scratch that," he told the group. "He seems to be fine." Nodding to Kenshi, he called, "What happened back there?"

Kenshi answered "I had stalled the monsters and then searched the surrounding area following a hunch I had. Then I saw a cloaked figure with a giant sword similar to the one that the second monster was using. Suddenly they were gone along with the monsters." He looked in the direction of Yuushima and said "Anyway we should get going Yuushima is not too far from here now."

Azalea kept quiet as they walked, thinking hard and still not over what she had just participated in. Kenshi had mentioned a hooded figure, and something about the way the monsters had fought didn't seem quite right. They were too in sync, working together too well. She suspected that she'd somehow managed to blunder right into something big, something that she didn't understand. Her thoughts stalled abruptly as she looked up and caught her first view of Yuushima. "Woah." Her eyes widened and her mouth opened a little as she stared.

The city of Yuushima was beautiful, Leoch gave it that much. It obviously took many design choices from the elven capital (as well, apparently, from dwarven stonework). However, Leoch knew all too well that an attractive city could hide a deep ugliness under its cover.

---

Over fifty years ago, Leoch had been dispatched to Yuushima on a diplomatic mission to a small, but influential, trading organization that had been supplying furs, spices, and valuable gems to the elven capital. Unfortunately, the organization had increased its prices; Leoch was to alter the deal to make it more agreeable to the Capital's elders.

"Unfortunately, Mr....Lock, was it?" the executive merchant had said. "Unfortunately, as our products have been becoming more popular, we have less product to sell, and thus our prices have been rising. I'm sure you understand."

Leoch had glared at the man. "It's Leoch," he corrected. "And you don't have to explain simple economic principles to me."

"Well, I'm glad. I'm sorry for you to have wasted your time--"

"What you
can explain to me is where your spices have been going.:

The merchant's face had gone instantly pale. "I-I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about," he stammered. "This information is highly confidential, for security purposes."

"I do my research. Neither the humans or dwarves or any other major race have been purchasing enough spice to warrant such a markup in prices. No, I believe that you have been selling spices to less--ah, should we say--reputable groups as ingredient for the more...addictive spices."

The merchant had sat back, stony-faced. "It is getting late. Perhaps we should continue this conversation tomorrow?"

Leoch had made one of the biggest mistakes of his career right then. Instead of pressing his advantage, he had sat back cockily and said: "Sounds fine. I have all the time in the world."

"Yuushima sits at the base of a large crescent waterfall. The way the city is layered slows down the water so that it can glow into the river that cuts through the Little Garden. Okay now see the large building that crawls up the sidd of that waterfall the little island in front of it is my estate. That it where we'll be staying." Kenshi explained as they begsn to walk on the blue bridge to Yuushima. "Leoch when did you visit the city?" Ken asked.

Walking streets with his giant black claymore on his back mostly covered by his red cape. The Beast Paladin Dragna Haimura may very well meet his brother for the first time in his life. He's returned to his home city after about 20 years on the road. His feet now touching down on the Haimura estate.

Shin was enjoying the sights but every step he toom had a slight limp to it of course he wasn't going to say anything about it to anyone. Then he'd just be bringing down the whole group.
