Of course, Mikhail responds with more flattery, his air of charisma hardly affected by the bounty hunter's clear disdain. His mention of V willed the woman to glance back over at the white-haired giant before looking back down to the shorter pair. Sh'Kashta's innocent explanation as to why she ended up here with this odd group of people only emphasized her naivety and malleability. Unfortunately, Faraine didn't have time to respond to the young woman as the blonde in front of her deemed it necessary to give her quite the tale of his role in animal conservationism. The smugness Mikhail took on made Faraine's eyes narrow, the giantess not buying it one bit.

What was frustrating, though, was that she had no reason for the distrust, and she knew it. What made her demeanor change, though, was the direct recognition of her trade. His teasing tone was met with a chuckle from Faraine, amusement lighting up her previously stern features. Formerly crossed arms disbanded and fell so that her hands rested upon her hips as she spoke up, "Now, I never said I was honorable." Taking a pause, she used a simple sleight-of-hand trick to make a golden coin seemingly appear out of thin air, deftly spinning it in between her fingers.

"I've learned that coin is as reliable as it gets. Especially when surrounded by fakes." With a knowing smirk, she tossed it in the air, catching it in her palm quickly. "Thankfully, Sh'Kashta has aligned herself with a pair that will steer her the right way.." Golden eyes looked at the trio, hiding her worry for the young sea-dweller and instead deciding to back down, for now. Especially since the previously sunny sky shifted into quite a dark, gloomy atmosphere, the feeling of cold rain hitting her scalp prompting the woman to look up. Faraine frowned, knowing that she would have to retreat below deck to avoid getting absolutely drenched by either the rain or the ever-rising waves that crashed against the wooden boat.

Almost as if on cue, the boat began to rock a little more harshly, forcing the bounty hunter to adjust her footing so that she didn't fall in front of the three acquaintances. The extreme tilt of the boat made her stomach turn, her sensitivity to sea-sickness somehow beating the 'miracle remedy' from Crow's shop. I need a refund from that weird old man when I dock at Altair..

Incoming winds lifted Faraine's dark hair, revealing the multiple charms and beads that adorned the long locks as golden eyes looked over to Sh'Kashta. "I bet you love weather like this, no?" An uncharacteristic inquiry coming from the typically solemn and quiet woman. However, she needed the attention to divert from herself, considering she could feel herself getting dizzier and dizzier by the moment. "I wonder what rare species you will all find in these conditions.." She continued, interested to see what kind of lies would fall out of the human's lips.

Ciaran
Ship #1, Deck

"Ohhh," Ciaran exhaled, his brow raising with the realization that a voyage like this was an escape for Carlisle. His vulpine ears pricked up as he heard the word 'evil'. He stroked his chin thoughtfully as he pondered who would be the evil ones. "Per'aps I'm a poor judge of character. I..." Glancing around, Ciaran lowered his voice to nearly a whisper before he allowed one more syllable to roll off his tongue. "I think two people on this boat are pirates." Yes, he recognized them—Mr. and Mrs. "I'm not a pirate".

Once dropping that obvious bit of information, he lightened back up and resumed speaking at his normal volume. "That aside, most of the people here are decent... Just a li'l crass. The giantess over there?" He pointed out, thumb extended towards Faraine. A flick of the wrist morphed the gesture into a thumbs-up as he continued. "Bounty hunter. I saw the death grip she had on a pickpocket's wrist last week. Definitely wanted 'er on our side."

Valorie seemed a bit quiet for a moment as she thought of something. Her sudden outburst sent Ciaran recoiling behind cover. He slowly rose to hear her explanation. "Yer bad with names? Sounds like yer... improving?" he complimented awkwardly. "I s'ppose it takes time. One of m' friends—also named Val, it jus' so happens—called me 'dipshit' for the first few months we knew each other! Still does, every now an' then..."

As he finished that thought, Ciaran felt the sensation of a droplet of water hitting his face. "Eh...?" He wiped it from his cheek, but another soon splatted against his nose. The boat seemed to ebb more intensely as the ocean grew violent. The herbalist became pale. "I think I'll need some'in' from below deck," he quickly stated, trying to pardon himself as others started to file down. "Shall we mee' up in the mess hall?"

Boat 1

So the light drizzle quickly became a heavier form of rain, though not blinding. It was annoying, for the crew went from having a mist that cool them off to a shower that soaked them. The waves were already rough, they tossed the ship back-and-forth. This motion would make anyone sick at this point or lose their balance while walking. As everyone conversed in groups and more or less got to bond some more during this trip, no one was able to see what was coming up from underneath. If you were observant enough you would have noticed that every once in a while something popped out from the sea. If you were not aware of the danger that was in store, you would quickly learn that the safe situation the crew once was in, had completely turned upside down. The boat had been slammed into, causing the whole boat to be knocked off course, and no doubt startling everyone aboard. However, that wasn't the end of it as multiple limbs had emerged from the water and had been decorated in suction cups. One of the limbs already shot out towards the half-demon on deck and grabbed him off of the ship( Horror Horror ). He was the unlucky one that was gonna become the first course of this creature's breakfast.

Another limb grabbed onto the ship on the opposite side, preventing it from moving any further than it already had. The Firstmate yelled out to his crew “We got a Kraken. Man yar stations.” A creature that had been reported before, but whoever experienced it never came back to tell the tale of its details. It seemed that today was the day that Boat 1 was going to experience the Kraken firsthand. “If yar going to stand there crying for yar mommy, do us a favor and jump off the boat.” The all the crew manned their station as fast as they could. “ALL RIGHT LADS LETS MAKE HISTORY!!!”

With the sun shining, the dolphins swimming, everything was pretty peaceful one would say! Despite being far from the land, nothing could get any better than this, right? While the chaos was ensuing on the upper deck, no one seemed to notice what was coming...Wait is that boss music? Off to the right hand side of the ship, a large boat emerged from the water....Oh...Was that why the dolphins were swimming away? Well it's here now and it was time to get this show on the road. The boat was old, decrepit, but yet still moved much like a normal ship that was fully in tact. The crew upon the ship seemed to be ghostly pirates appearing almost skeleton-like. This was the Ghost Ship. One that was considered a myth - a legend - to many back on the mainland and- WERE THOSE CANNONS? Well better get a move on before the ship turns into swiss cheese!

Ciaran
Ship #1, Deck

The boat suddenly shook, nearly launching Ciaran down the stairs to the lower decks. His tail wrapped around him as he grabbed anything he could to stop himself from falling. Things quickly devolved into chaos from there. Gargantuan tentacles rose from the water. They were heard before they were seen, the sickening noises of slimy, rubbery, monstrous flesh grinding against the boat and suction cups taking hold as they started to wrap around the ship.

One such tendril lashed itself around Mikhail, that strange man who often liked to make one-sided deals. As he was hoisted overboard and Ciaran's brain processed what was happening, the beastman's pupils contracted in horror. His voice trembled before he unleashed a girly, high-pitched scream that surely alerted others below deck... that is, if every other facet of this nightmare—including the first mate's calls—didn't already.

As the drama and horror unfolded, Ciaran drew his dirk from its sheath and held it in both hands as he leaned against the wall. He still found himself lost; Val and Serena had taught him to fight bandits, not a damned Kraken! Cracking under the mounting pressure, he started to exclaim, "Carlisle!? Val!? Oh, gods, someone help hi-hi..." The words faded as he slid uncontrollably along the wet deck towards the railing. His already pale face turned green and his cheeks puffed outwards... Oh boy...

Grasping the railing of the ship, the frantic herbalist lurched forward, losing his breakfast with a horrid gagging and heaving sound. Looks like he was seasoning both the sea and their gigantic adversary. How's that for prime help in a fight?

Hello old friend.
Location: Cradled by the Kraken.
Boat 1: Nesta, Nasir, Carlisle, Faraine, Daniel, Vidius, Ciaran, Mikhail, Elof, Valorie
Interactions: Nothing direct, but she's visible on deck.
Hubert-Mihail answered Exception's questions, and became all the more interesting in doing so. That he has met many of the Giant clan, and that he knew Exception to be "stunning" among them. Perhaps after this adventure, Sh'Kashta could convince either of them to introduce her to others of this clan.

He did go on to reveal that Exception was indeed speaking to them as not being adventurers. Neither he, nor V-Vidius, were wont to travel far. It would seem that conversing with dangerous species was not achieved quickly, which was understandable. Though if they were traveling to unseen lands to meet new dangers, how long this journey could last began to concern Sh'Kashta. If Hubert-Mikhail needed years to live out here, he would not be able to share his stories with Sh'Kashta soon enough for her to return home to share with her kind.

"Just recently, with the help of Sh'kashta, I managed to save the life of an endangered bird, a creature so rare and exquisite that its very existence seemed to defy the natural order." Sh'Kashta's mind reeled at this sudden statement. That bird? That was the kind of creature he considered a dangerous creature? So small and frail, that she plucked up with one hand? Was Hubert-Mikhail so weak as to fear something so tiny?

Her world suddenly thrown off balance, she barely noticed the growing rain storm. It was a fine respite from the thin breathing of the surface world. She was barely aware of a question asked of her, or of the growing rocking of the boat, and almost missed the tentacle grabbing Hubert-Mikhail. If it hadn't been for the suddenly flurry of yelling and noise, she probably would have missed everything while she figured out what she did and did not know.

She saw the great arms of the sea wrap the ship, saw the one holding Hubert-Mikhail over the side of the ship, and heard the yell of "Kraken". Nothing else mattered in that moment. She knew this creature, a deep sea creature as were her kind. Rare, sure, but known.

She knelt. Placing her hands upon the wood of the deck, she bowed before this ancient creature, revered titan of the oceans. A blessing merely to witness such a beast at a distance, but be in its focus? To bear witness to its power? Sh'Kashta would have tales to tell her kind. She would be made next for high priestess by this blessing alone.

Alix turned his head to where Silva gestured, venturing over to have a look at their stock. "Thank you!" He said, beginning to scan the shelves for anything useful. There was a lot more options than he thought there would be. This made choosing a potion all the more difficult. He just needed a potion that would help him make it through the later rounds. "Why are there so many choices?" He asked himself, picking up a potion to inspect it. He heard laughs from behind him and he didn't really care. Making the experience pleasurable wasn't a laughing matter to him, but if others saw it that way, he wasn't going to worry about it.

After finding a suitable potion, he turned around and made his way back towards the counter, noticing that the woman was helping the bear. Looks like I'll have to wait in line. He made his way behind Cecil, beginning to wait in line to purchase the potion. While he tried his best to avert his gaze, he couldn't help but stare at Cecil. A gorgeous beastwoman was standing in front of him. This made it hard for Alix to contain himself. A little flirting couldn't hurt.

Alix stood next to Cecil, putting on his brightest smile."I see that you are buying a few potions too. You look like an adventurer, but you are too beautiful to be one. What brings you into town? Are you looking for some excitement?" He said, keeping his gaze steady as he reached his hand over, putting it on her tail. "Beastwomen are my favorite women. They are always the feistiest in bed." Alix's tone of voice changed, becoming more sensual. "Why don't we have lunch later? I would love to get to know you." He said, beginning to stroke her tail. He always enjoyed stroking the tail of a beastpeson. It was always soft, softer than his well groomed hair. He was almost jealous of how soft it was. Hopefully he wouldn't get smacked today.

Cecil looked at the potions in her hand and made sure they were completely sealed off to avoid losing any product and began to read the Eagle Eye potion and its side effects -if there even were any. While reading, she felt someone move up next to her that had also prompted the beastwoman to begin to side-glance the body and catch that red hair. Oh it's the kid that asked about that long lasting potion. The Lioness thought before he actually had the nerve to be hitting on her. Now this wasn't her first rodeo being flirted with, so it wasn't anything new as she let it bounce off of her. However, that didn't stop her stomach tying up in knots as he put a hand on her tail Is this mother fu- he continued on, clearly expressing his love for Beastwomen in bed while changing his tone in the process and stroking her tail in a way that brought up mixed emotions. Cecil hated when others touched her tail, they had no reason to be touching it and that rule still applied for this youngin.

With pink cheeks, her other hand had snapped out and grabbed the man by the neck. She wasn't choking him, though she wasn't being light about it either. If anything, it was a firm grip that allowed breathing to still be an option but also could easily be removed so she pleased. "What the fuck do you think you're doing, little boy?" Eyebrows were closed together and her eyes were holding a fire that could spread in moments had he chose the wrong answer. "If you want lunch with me, then it would be in your best interest to keep your paws to yourself." Pun intended. "Unless you feel like being my lunch today like a pig on a platter with an apple in its mouth." Who did he think he was touching her that way? Especially without warning! Usually the men go for the shoulder and pull close, or even go for the waist. But the tail? Oh that was just asking to be put into the grave in the backyard! "Tch." Her hand pushed him with enough force to probably make him stumble back a foot or two, but he was no longer in her clutches.

"For someone who claims they've been with Beastwomen, clearly you don't know the rules."

"You two really need to learn how to..." Before Luca could finish his lecture towards the duo, he caught an odd sight out of the corner of his eye. Walking to the side of the ship, he pulled out a spyglass, retracting it. He looked through the lens, looking at the ship that had just appeared in their vicinity. Trade vessels never ventured this far and the ship didn't look like a trade vessel. What the hell is going on? Where did that ship come from? His face had a look of confusion that quickly turned to fear as he saw flashes of cannon fire coming from the vessel. Before he could even warn the others, the ship was hit from a volley of cannon balls.

A cannon ball whizzed by his head and another smashed through the railing next to him, sending splinters in his direction. Many of the splinters missed, but one thrust itself into his left arm, sticking out a few inches. Luca faltered backwards and almost tripped over himself, being saved by a barrel that caught his fall. He looked down at his arm, wincing at the steady stream of blood that was flowing down his arm. "We're not going to last long like this" Luca made his way to the lower deck, nursing his arm as he rushed down the steps. "Get the cannons ready you useless bastards!" Luca yelled, ushering the crew towards the cannons. The ship didn't have a lot of cannons since it's main use is to explore, not combat other ships. He noticed a heavy set man somehow still sleeping through this whole ordeal. "Get up you fat fuck!" Luca struck the man in the stomach, causing him to wake up.

He hurried the crew to load the cannons, looking out a hatch in the lower deck to look at the attacking ship. It seemed that they were maintaining distance which was good, but the ship had limited firepower. They wouldn't last long in this type of engagement. "Fire the cannons!" Luca yelled, the crew able to begin returning fire. Plumes of smoke came from their weaker vessel, Luca watching the results as cannon balls were sent the enemy vessel's way. His face turned to a frown as every single cannon ball missed the attacking ship. "Don't stop firing!" A cannon ball ripped through the lower deck, missing everyone by surprise. Luca turned to a crewmember, William. William was somebody he could trust to keep the cannons running. "Don't stop firing until we've exhausted all of our ammunition. I need to go back up to the top deck." William noded and began screaming at the crew, keeping them focused on loading and firing. Luca rushed his way back towards the stairs, looking down at his arm. His sleeve was red and the bleeding wasn't going to stop yet. He thought he could hold off on getting help.

Luca climbed back up to the top deck, assessing the damage. Most of the damage seemed to be superficial. The last thing they wanted was for their mast to get hit. He climbed some more steps up to the helm of the ship. The helmsman was keeping the ship steady. "We can't continue to get broad sided like this. Turn the ship east so we approach them at an angle. That vessel won't be able to hit us with all their cannons if we do that." Luca said, turning away to pay attention to the others. He was hoping that they'd all make it through alive.

He wasn't surprised that Valorie didn't know his name. He always thought his name was forgettable. Carlisle turned to Ciaran, opening his mouth to answer his question. Before he could answer the question, a unholy beast began attacking the ship, grabbing one of the passengers. "What blasphemy is this?" He drew his sword, ready to cut down anything that may prove a threat to those around him. Even though his focus was on the beast, he noticed Ciaran puking off the side of the ship in the corner of his eye. "Lord, provide him the strength to retain his breakfast." After saying a prayer to himself, he dashed forward, grabbing Ciaran. He threw him over his shoulder with one arm, retreating away from the beast to get some distance.

"If you puke on me I will throw you off this ship." Carlisle said, a grin growing on his face. He was joking around, even during the predicament that they were in. He set Ciaran down once he determined it was a safe enough distance. After setting him down, Carlisle glanced around for a certain item. Once he found it, he picked it up and handed it to Ciaran. "I found you a bucket my friend. Try not to over fill it. I don't think I'll be able to find a second one without getting grabbed by that beast." He said, turning to face the beast once more.

Luckily, Carlisle turned at the right time because a limb was reaching for him. Without hesitation, he struck the limb with his sword, cutting it clean. The limb fell onto the ship, stepping to the side to avoid it falling on him. "At this rate we can have a feast after this." Carlisle had never encountered a beast like this before. He knew he could cut it's limbs off, but it was going to take much more than mere cuts to kill this beast. For now, it was best to play defense and defend the weaker ones. Reducing the casualties was a priority for him.

Everything happened in what felt like a blink of an eye. The man who once stood in front of Faraine was now being held in the sky by a rather large tentacle. Faraine's jaw dropped, gold eyes watching in shock and horror as the so-called conservationist was now getting a first-hand look at a rather rare creature indeed. At any other point in time, the thought would've made the bounty hunter laugh. Instead, all she could muster was a groan, "You have GOT to be kidding me!"

Faraine could just barely make out the sound of the pirate's measly attempt at boosting morale, reaching behind her to unsheathe the family sword that was snugly tucked upon her back. Her gaze followed the sound of the fox-boy she met the week prior, considering him to be a good representation of how she felt on the inside right about now. It seemed the Templar was able to provide more than a mere prayer, after all.

Worn, leather boots did their best to stay planted upon the now-slippery deck as she glanced down at a bowing Sh'Kashta. It was in that moment Faraine saw it. A supernaturally-large tentacle, slithering itself around the small sea-dweller in an attempt to trap her in a coil.

How the hell has she survived this long?

Faraine rolled her eyes in exasperation, holding her sword with both hands as she lifted her sword above her head, mustering all the strength the had and bringing the sword down, slicing right through the now writhing tentacle and landing a mere inches away from Sh'Kashta. The half-elf frowned in disgust at the ugly tentacle before tugging the younger girl upwards by her brightly-colored shirt, "Get on your feet! You almost died!" Speaking of almost dead..

Her gaze returned to Mikhail, a person she most certainly thought would've been fish food by now. But, there he dangled, trapped like a doll for the Kraken to play pretend with. Faraine looked back down to Sh'Kashta, her gaze stern, "Either be useful, or get below deck with the others." With that, she made her way to the Templar, both hands still grasped onto the hilt of her sword. Her energy was a stark contrast to the practical beam of light before her, knowing that she would have to put her pride aside and work alongside the over-the-top gentleman ahead of her.

About halfway through her walk across deck, another tentacle emerged from the depths, charging at her from her left. With deft reflexes, she swiftly swung at the tentacle, but she only managed to get a mere scratch. Further proof that she could not tackle this alone even if she wanted to. Looking over to the blonde, she called out, "If you've got any bright ideas, I'm all ears!" The same tentacle came hurling at her again, willing her to slice another deep cut into the creature. A bellowing groan practically shook the wooden boat beneath their feet, making Faraine's stomach turn.

Before anything else could be said or done, the rain had gotten heavier. This made the Fairy sigh, knowing that she wouldn't be able to fly even if she wanted to today. Honestly, the situation got worse as tentacles emerged from the water and not only yoink one of their crew members, but also grabbed onto the boat! This caused the Fairy to fall off the barrel she had been sitting on due to the shake and fall right onto the deck where water had spilled on and got her even more soaked than what she was. "Damn it!" The caramel-eyed fairy shouted while looking around and spotting Ci being carried on Carlisle's back I hope he's alright. He definitely looks like he's seen a ghost. Don't blame him though, someone literally just got pulled off the boat as if it was nothing. It was clearly going with the intent to take the boat down and everyone within' it. Valorie jumped as a chunk of one of the limbs dropped onto deck with a loud thump. "Nice slice there, Carlisle!" At least there was some progress being made, right?

Val had gotten to her feet and used the rail nearby to prevent her from falling over again with the rocking of the boat, taking a good look at their predicament. Luckily the monster retracted its arm once it had gotten sliced by Carlisle, but that didn't help the guy who was currently being flailed around off the boat. Taking a hand off the rail, she reached behind her and pulled her Holy Staff from it's place. It took her a moment to get the right stance as she placed the end of the Staff on the deck I'm gonna have to use Beam of Hope. Val's gaze looked toward the clouded sky It's not going to be strong, but it'll be strong enough to release the guy. Though he'd be dropped in the water if I hit the leg... It was a risk she had to take, and if push comes to shove, she'd dive into that water to get him. It seemed that the tentacles were more worried about the boat and trying to grab others instead of just drowning anything he grabbed to snack on. Valorie was going to take advantage of this.

Taking focus upon her target, the Fairy began to murmur -while also fighting to keep her balance- and slowly but surely within the glass orb of the staff, a light began to grow. Suddenly, a beam of light had shot out and right towards the limb, burning it clean off while also being careful to not hit the man in the crossfire. This was the result she wanted, it was just a matter of getting him back to the boat.

Luminita Spatafora
Ship #2, Deck

The conversation among the three women was abruptly punctuated when a large, distant splash caught everyone's attention. This decrepit ship had risen from the ocean depths and approached, only to turn and form the line of battle, firing all its guns broadside. The entire ship rocked, causing Nita to grunt and stagger back against the mast. "By what magic does it still fire? The powder magazine must be soaked," she protested. Even with her past experience taken into account, this was a new level of absurdity... but the crewmen on that ghost ship were undead... by the looks of it, actual ghosts. There had to be something aboard that ship keeping them going, and she had to find out what.

The crew started to turn the ship at spastic, snobbish Luca's command. She had never heard him swear before, but it was refreshing to hear him say something common-human-sounding for once, shitty as it may have been. Nita was tempted to fetch her armor as they made their approach, but that would make her sink faster if she fell overboard somehow. Without announcing her intentions just yet, Nita ran around the deck, fetching several supplies. Three-pronged grappling hooks, ropes... She affixed the hooks to the ropes, then the ropes to the railings. "Prepare for boarding!" she commanded in a booming voice no one had heard until now. She had been soft-spoken until this point, but a fire ignited in her gray eyes as she readied herself. Her intense gaze revealed the diehard soldier behind that porcelain veneer.

The titan had reached for her, and possibly would have snatched her away if Exception had not intervened. It made sense, staying still and small worked when you were far away, before you had been spotted, but it was already attacking. It likely was simply after the large boat and was catching the crew by mistake. Still, Exception had struck a deep blow and saved Sh'Kashta's life.

"Get on your feet! You almost died! Either be useful, or get below deck with the others." Exception had yelled, before running off to another of the travelers. She swung and chopped at the great tentacles in her path. Exception wanted Sh'Kashta to be useful, and led by example. Sh'Kashta would be useful.

She grabbed the severed chunk of tentacle, drapped it over her shoulders and bit into the end of it as she stepped up to the railing. She felt for the flows of power she had once been taught of, to lend her strength to Hubert-Mikhail. As she looked out to find him, a blinding flash of light seared and severed the great limb, dropping Hubert-Mikhail into the water. Sh'Kashta had not realized how much power she could move.

Seeing his new predicament, needing to swim back to the ship and surely held in fear, Sh'Kashta tried a different approach for her magic. The magic she new better. The blue mists of illusion. She drew up what she could about Hubert-Mikhail, shielding his eyes from the great beast about it. To him, the creature would withdraw, return to the depths and trouble the boat no more. He was safe to swim to the boat.

And in the midst of that, she trickled a thin stream of her own strengths to him. to aid his swim. The draw upon her to hold both magics at once burned within her lungs. She bit deep into the tentacle, tasting the drying blood seep into her mouth. It was a strong reminder why she had never taken to the red chants of the priests. The blood magics were unforgiving, and she had never needed to give so much of herself for another. Even if what she gave was almost nothing.

"The Blackmoon Syndicate send its regards..."

The spoken message echoed in her mind over and over, as purple eyes stared directly into the dirty mirror in front of them. The fairy had certainly made many mistakes in her life, but the awful gnawing feeling deep in her gut told her that this was much bigger than a missing ingredient, or a burnt pie.. It was bigger than anything she had endured so far.

That much could be inferred by the memory of smoke, flames consuming the shop she had made her own. The sounds of cutlery and shelving collapsing in on itself, the sight of a malicious smirk in the darkness of the night.. Simply remembering the sight made Maeve shut her eyes tight, tears pooling over and falling down her freckles cheeks unceremoniously,

"No, no, no..." Her exhale was shaky, pale hands hastily wiping away her tears before her head dropped to look at the sink in front of her. Chunks of bright red curls piled atop the drain; evidence of a simple yet necessary action she took in order to hide. Her left hand reached out to turn on the faucet, eyes locked onto the hair as it slowly dampened and spun its way down the drain. Once it was all gone, she took a deep breath, turning off the faucet and taking a step back.

Previously widened eyes steeled in a determined gaze, "This is not the end. They will not win." Maeve's voice was quiet, pretending to be certain despite the rather dire circumstances. However, she straightened her posture, dusting off her dress and cloak before giving herself a quick nod. It was time to leave Altaire. The bustling city could only provide her invisibility for so long..

Making sure her leather utility belt was fastened, stocked with a few necessary potions, Maeve made her way out of the bathroom and into the bustling tavern. She tried not to show it, but her disdain for the random hole-in-the wall was evident in her face as she weaved through the tight crowd of day-drinkers. Mumblings of polite 'excuse me's and 'pardon me's fumbled out of her mouth before bumped arms with a man clad with a golden cuff, adorned with an all-too-familiar crescent moon. The hand of the man that owned said cuff held onto her clothed wrist tightly, willing her to look up at the unfamiliar face.

"Leaving so soon?"

Purple eyes widened at the sight of the menacing man, looming over her in the crowded bar. In the grand scheme of things, maybe a hole-in-the-wall bar bathroom wasn't the best of hiding places to choose from..

Maeve gulped, before instinctively lifting her foot and slamming the heeled wedge of her boot straight onto his own foot. This bought her a few seconds of time, shock forcing him to release her.

That's all she needed.

Quick legs began running into a sprint as her hands reached to lift her cloak over her head. Multitudes of people gave her bitter looks as she pushed through slow-walking herds of people, hoping to run faster than the syndicate could find her. Her lungs burned as she sprinted, mouth agape as she gasped for any remnants of air she could muster. Thankfully, the cool winds and dark skies of the incoming storm made running and hiding a bit easier on the woman. Nonetheless, she knew being outside was the worst place to be.

Maeve sped past buildings until her legs couldn't push her any longer, ending up running past a young beastwoman and quiet human, hurling herself into a random potion shop.

Huh, ironic.. She thought to herself, leaning over as she caught her breath. Hands rested on her knees as she crouched forward slightly, lungs feeling like they're about to burst. At least, in here, the syndicate could not be so bold with their actions. It wasn't long until she finally caught her breath, standing up straight again to look around.

A ringing of the store's front door bell indicated that her moment of solace would be short-lived. The tall, dark-haired syndicate member entered with grace and calmness, a foil of the nearly-visibly shaking fairy in the opposite corner of the shop. "Ah, there you are, darling." His voice was like silk, contrasting the former sneer it held in the tavern they were just in. "If you wanted to look at potions, all you had to do was ask!" He laughed, letting out a casual, yet exasperated laugh as Maeve simply backed away from him, bumping into the shelf behind her.

The sudden feeling of impact made her jump, before quickly walking away from the syndicate member. She felt like a fool, not being able to defend herself. Even with learning combative spells in University all those years ago, it wasn't enough. "D-Do not call me that. You sick, sick man, I-" Pretending to be brave was a lot easier said than done, it turns out. Especially when the only weapon at her disposal was, well.. her fists.

Mikhail's eyes tracked the path of the coin as the mercenary flipped it through the air, the glinting metal arcing gracefully before him. With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he adopted a fictitious look of admiration, opening his mouth in feigned awe at the simple display of dexterity. As the mercenary went on to ascribe value to wealth, a skeptical brow roused itself in return. In this world of shifting shadows and veiled truths, sometimes the allure of the counterfeit could surpass the stark honesty of reality. He was a frequent witness to the transformative power of avarice, as it gnawed at the hearts and minds of those who fell prey to its lure.

Don’t be so quick to dismiss things just because they are ‘fake,’ oftentimes the beauty of a dream surpasses the radiance of the waking.” Mikhail nodded his head knowingly. A smug expression played upon his lips, a self-satisfied look to the wisdom he had so eloquently imparted.

As raindrops began to descend from the sky, forming a watery sheen that enveloped the ship, Mikhail's keen eyes could not help but notice the subtle unsteadiness of the mercenary's sea legs. A chuckle, irrepressible as the gathering storm, bubbled forth from his lips. "Oh, dear," he teased, the mirthful lilt of his voice dancing upon the wind like the very rain that fell around them. "It seems that even the mightiest of warriors can be humbled by the whims of the sea."

In the lull of their conversation, an unexpected terror emerged from the depths. The rain-lashed sea concealed its approach. A sinuous tentacle, as dark and terrible as the abyss from whence it came, coiled itself around Mikhail's torso with alarming swiftness. Before he could utter a cry of alarm, the monstrous appendage yoinked him overboard, dragging him toward the churning waters below. The world above was swiftly swallowed by the roiling waves, as Mikhail found himself ensnared in the crushing embrace of this assailant, the laughter now replaced by silence as cold and unforgiving as the sea.

As Mikhail's mind raced amidst the suffocating grip of the tentacle, his thoughts alighted upon a hidden weapon that might yet offer a chance for safety. With desperate determination, he reached toward the folds of his wardrobe, his fingers scrabbling to find the concealed dagger that lay within. With a triumphant grasp, he secured the weapon and plunged it deep into the sinewy flesh of the monstrous appendage. The tentacle shuddered and writhed in response, its iron grip momentarily loosening as it recoiled from the searing pain.

As Mikhail continued to struggle against the tentacle's grasp, his movements inadvertently dislodged his hood. Falling away, the fabric revealed two bright blue horns that curved outwards from beneath his hair. Mikhail prepared to plunge the dagger once more into the tentacle. However, before he could deliver the blow, a beam of energy erupted from the deck of the ship, searing through the air and striking the sinewy appendage with unerring accuracy. With a sudden sense of weightlessness, Mikhail found himself plummeting into the churning ocean, the cold embrace of the water rushing up to meet him.

Amidst the waters, Mikhail cursed under his breath, his limbs laboring to propel him through the dark and unforgiving sea. The monstrous creature, though wounded, had not yet abandoned its pursuit, and a multitude of tentacles reached toward him. In the throes of mounting panic, Mikhail's desperate battle intensified, his limbs kicking and swiping with reckless abandon as he sought to fend off the relentless onslaught of the writhing tentacles. The inky darkness of the depths seemed to close in around him, suffocating and oppressive, as he fought to maintain his rapidly dwindling supply of breath.

Each crashing wave that buffeted him threatened to steal what precious air remained, adding to the torment of his plight as he was tossed about like a mere plaything in the merciless grip of the storm-tossed sea. As fear threatened to engulf him, a sudden, inexplicable wave of magic washed over Mikhail, its mysterious power coursing through his very being. The sensation was both soothing and invigorating. Within the recesses of his mind, the monstrous creature appeared to retreat, its terrifying visage receding into the shadows from which it had emerged.

With his strength rekindled by the enchantment, Mikhail mustered the courage to swim towards the ship, his limbs propelling him with newfound determination. As he reached the vessel's mass, he plunged his dagger into its wooden hull, using the weapon as a makeshift handhold to aid him in his ascent. And, at long last, with a final surge of effort, Mikhail crested the edge of the deck.

With the last of his energy expended, Mikhail rolled onto the deck, his body trembling from sheer exertion. Each lungful of air that followed seemed like a divine gift. With an exasperated timbre, Mikhail spat out, "Fucking Kraken," as he began to crawl away from the ship's edge, his limbs still weak from his brush with death.

Out in the Streets - The Crow's Cage
leviohsa leviohsa

Anise could see the storm brewing already, covering herself from the elements with a cloak held over her head. Unfortunately it seemed many places weren't exactly too fond of just letting in a random stranger. She bit at her nails, frustrated "Philius ad lupe!" She swore under her breath. All she needed was a place to dry off. As she walked through the droves of people, someone quickly pushed by her. It was a young woman with red hair. But more importantly, there seemed to be someone following her. She didn't have much time to act. She quickly sprung open her living ink bottle and splattered the man's foot in ink, leaving a trail for her to follow after a bit.

Anise waited a moment before following the inky footprints all the way to a potion shop by the name of "The Crow's Nest." It was a good thing she did, as she was quickly informed by the poor, trampled upon inkling that the man was inside with the girl, and he was putting her under great duress. "Thank you, Blinky." She looked at the door and cracked her neck. She didn't particularly care for creepy old men who chase after girls like that. So she was more than happy to break his nose if need be.

She swung the door open "Ah what a wonderful day to be back at the Crow's Nest!" She feigned ignorance. "Oh! Hello! I hope I'm not interrupting, but I have very important business with the owner." Anise walked right next to the man, pulling a heavy book out from her backpack, and holding it under her arm. She readied herself, preparing to interrupt any spell this man planned to cast.

"Terrible weather we're having aren't we." She wanted to have a little fun bothering who ever this stranger was with benign small talk. Of course her half-demonic nature had a tendency to make even basic conversation seem threatening, mixed with the lashing of her tail and the milky, blank eyes of hers. Really makes you want to cuddle up with a good book and a scalding hot cup of tea."

Ship 1, Kraken!!!
fa242f1346dd742c25f7cf70f51ede84.jpg
The moment her heard Nesta drag out his name, he knew she was up to no good. He watched as the woman waltzed her way over towards him and made her way into his bed. Draping herself over his frame, Nasir simply laid there and simply locked eyes with Nesta staring deep into those blue eyes of hers. For a second, one measly second, Nasir felt a small urge to lower the mask heso constantly wears. They have traveled together for awhile and despite his wishes, have grown a bit comfortable around one another. However, today just wasn't the day. His face remained emotionless as he listened to her challenging him to wake her himself next time. Last time he tried, she pulled him into her bed, and held him hostage in order to get a few more moments of sleep. "I'll rather not." He said in response as she played with his hair.

He watched as her expression shifted from a playful and blissful one, to something holding much concern. As she asked about his nightmare, this was the one and only time Nasir broke the eye contact he held for so long. His head turned, shifting towards Scarf as he remained silent. He has yet to open up to Nesta about his past life and the tragedy that haunts him from time to time. Nasir turned his head to lock eyes with her yet again, as she offered to provide some comfort. Usually Nasir would shut it down immediately, but this time, he pondered the idea of it. Maybe it was because it was early, or maybe he's grown a bit of a soft spot to Nesta. But nonetheless today is not the day. "No." He says simply as he starts sitting up. "I'm fine. I'm sure the others are all awake and conversing. It may be best to join them, instead of hiding about below deck. I'm sure a few of them are cautious of use for being pirates." His head tilted upward as he heard the sound of rain hitting the deck above them. He even felt the ship rocking a bit more as the waves began shifting. "It seems the ocean has also woken up." A soft grin forms on his face as he loves the feeling of sailing on rough seas.

With Nesta still resting on top of him, he wraps his arm around her and proceeds to exit his bed lifting her up in the process to make it easier for himself. Now standing, he places her down, just as the ship began rocking much more violently. He grabbed a hold of Nesta and any nearby furniture keeping them from falling over. "Well seems like the ocean is even having a rough morning herself." He spoke releasing his grasp on Nesta and the piece of furniture. Grabbing his sword he made his way towards the stairs , just to stop abruptly as he began hearing screams from above deck. The word Kraken was echoed throughout the sailors loud and clear. His head snapped towards Nesta. "Kraken!" He repeated, walking right up towards her placing a hand on her shoulder. "We know how to deal with a threat like this. While it's attacking from above, we'll cut it from below. Stick beside me THE ENTIRE time. We'll cut as many tentacles as possible together." Normally a bodyguard would focus on keeping the person their guarding the entire time; however, he learned while guarding Nesta its best to know she won't back down from anything. So he's forced to go along with her and protected her while in the heat of battle.

He looks over at Scarf and calls away his familiar. He draws his sword then grabs Nesta's hand, leading her above deck. The rain was pouring hard, soaking him the moment he walked up the stairs. The sight of tentacles and sailors fighting reminded him of previous underways aboard Nesta's ship. He looks around noticing the others they're sailing with fighting as well. He watched as a fairy just fired a beam of light, freeing someone. He turns to look at Nesta once more making sure she was ready. The moment their eyes matched and he was sure, he leads her to the sides of the ship and leaps into the ocean together.

Rina watched with Ruby red eyes as Luca rushed off to the side of the boat, it was clear someone caught his attention. While that happened, the Dwelf got up from the deck and dusted herself off before taking a look in the same direction as Luca, catching sight of something in the distance. What is tha- before her thought could finish, she noticed a few flashes coming from the unknown company from the water. Her color had drained from her face as the ship had been hit, while a ball whizzing by over the deck had caused her to flinch and duck a few inches down. What the hell?! Are those Pirates!? Either that, or a ship that found itself so far out here that they think they're the threats. The rail had exploded by another ball, and the debris had managed to hit Luca in the process, blood already soaking up into his sleeve while also dripping down. We already have one injured and we haven't even gotten relatively close enough to attack that thing.

While Luca shouted at his crew, she looked back towards the enemy and allowed to let her mind think of a plan. If we get close enough, I know some of us can get on that ship and stop it from coming back after us. Looking back towards where the Helmsmen was, she noticed that Luca had already been getting him to turn, and slowly but surely the boat seemed to be turning, which also caused other cannon balls to just miss them completely. At least we have the turning in our favor. Then she heard Nita calling out about preparing to board. Prepare to board it is. Already on the right track. Rina rushed over towards Nita and began to assist her "Nita, I'm going to be boarding with you. The more the merrier, right?" She offered a smile to the blonde woman while preparing the supplies for boarding.

If they were going to battle, then everyone had to be in tip-top shape. Including Luca. Her gaze lifted and looked around quickly for Lucy, no doubt she'd be able to get him healed from that large splinter. I'll worry about that later. She'll help when she can. We need to worry about taking down our target. Making sure her knots were secure to each piece, and following Nita's lead. "I don't have an exact idea other than once we board we just wreck the halls. I just hope we can get there before anything else could hit us." Despite her mouth moving, nothing came out other than little noises. Though hopefully Nita would ask questions later about it if she had any.

Elof

Location (Group 1): On Deck -> Kraken

ElofPost.jpg

Elof had just made his way over to the larger group at the side of the ship, listening in on their conversation and just about to request a duel from the giant woman that seemed to be at the center of them, before the rain began to get heavier. His head turned slowly to look up at the sky, with storm clouds beginning to gather rather suddenly. In all of his trips across the sea, the young mixed blood hadn't seen the weather change like this almost out of nowhere before. Though he heard stories, sometimes from mercenaries who wanted to scare new recruits or fisherman who wanted to seem tough, about monstrous creatures of the sea that could only be seen coming by sudden changes in the environment. The kinds of possible creatures had passed through his mind; but only one seemed the most plausible: a kraken. Without a moment's notice, his thoughts were confirmed.

When the boat was slammed into, the mercenary was able to quickly adjust his footing, almost instinctively unsheathing Mir and Jorn in the process. As the limbs rose from the water, his expression seemed to grow even colder, his eyes growing even more dull and out of focus as they darted back and forth, keeping track of the many limbs of the creature. It's first target had been Mikhail, who was in the middle of speaking before being snatched and dragged asunder. In response, the beastman he spotted previously screamed and vomited, clearly being the best person to have at your side in a situation like this. Taking a deep breath, Elof watched as the others took action against the creature, the enthusiastic knight getting a good clean cut against one of its many limbs and taking a defensive stance while the giant woman sliced through another appendage that was targeting the kneeling merwoman.

The momentary shock seemed to pass for the merwoman though, as she quickly took to action after being aided by the giant woman, using some kind of illusion after another of their allies had fired a huge beam of light, saving Mikhail and severing another of the creature's limbs at the same time. Defensive stance and hesitance, powerful but slow magic. It needs to die. Fast. Taking another deep breath, Elof's chest puffed up as much as it could before he slowly blew the air out from his mouth. Tightening his grip on both Mir and Jorn, he focused in on the creature alone. He bolted across the ship toward the giant woman and the knight: "One keeps the weak safe. Other strikes the beast. I draw attention." Running again towards the edge of the ship, the mixed blood put all the strength he could into his legs, launching himself off the side and towards the beast. To protect himself, he used the momentum to slash at the limb that was coming to intercept him. "Eyes on me, wretch." Once he got close enough, he latched himself onto the beast by stabbing with both blade and axe into its larger body. To garner more of its attention, he continued to stab, over and over, into the creature's body.

With the limb being cleanly sliced in two, Val was relieved that the man was still alive and had plummeted into the water. Though, that was already another issue because now he was in there with no assistance. This just keeps getting worse than it already is. She began to rush over to the side that he had been on, only to be knocked down by a tentacle that came rolling in, in attempt to grab her. The Fairy landed on the deck with a grunt and lifted her head to look above her. How many Limbs does this thing have!? Three of them so far were sliced, but it felt like more just kept coming. Grasping her staff, she looked towards her destination and spotted someone just clearly jumping off the boat "Are you crazy!? That's suicide!!!" Then like that, he was gone. Is this boat just filled with semi-suicidal people? Not long after there was another pair who hopped into the water as well. Let's just hope they stay alive at this point if they want to fight that thing head on. Despite all that was happening, she saw that blonde head of hair climb over the rail and flop onto the deck like a fish.

Holy smokes he's alive.
That was some good news at least! The fish-woman was seemingly taking a bite out of the fallen flesh, which only caused her to scrunch her nose What in the world... The urge to facepalm was strong, but she fought against it as she scrambled back to her feet and toward the blonde who was still in the deck and crawling away. A pair of horns had decorated his head, and while most would probably refuse to help and retreat from those with horns like his, she approached and assisted. He hadn't done anything wrong in her eyes, so why should she abandon him just because of his appearance? Rushing to his side, Valorie ducked herself underneath his arm and began to hoist him up, her other arm wrapping around his waist for lifting support. "I gotcha." While looking for the entrance to get beneath deck, she spotted Ci with a bucket in a safer spot, though above deck was probably the most dangerous at the moment.

"Ci we need to get you below deck! It's not safe up here!" Val called out to him, hoping he'd be able to stand, or else she was gonna have to help two full grown men with her small body. Quite honestly, she wasn't sure if she could carry both bodies at the same time.

1682114169949.pngIt was admittedly tempting to just knock out Dr Crow on the spot as he laughed at his attempt to tease her, but she was better than that. She would just have to bare with it for now. Speaking of bears, the large beastman named Olfa waltzed up to hand her a shopping list of items he required. It came as a surprise however that there wasn't a single potion in this list. Rather it was ingredients for presumably brewing one's own potions. He introduced himself and proceeded to compliment Silva's own name. "Oh... Thank you. I must say it's always a pleasure to meet another potion brewer. Assuming that is the case." She added in case he was buying these ingredients for a different reason. "I believe we have everything you're looking for here except for the Ghoul Bone. We used the last we had over the past week brewing potions for the adventurers preparing for their expedition. It also happens to be a rather difficult ingredient to get our hands on. Afterall not everyone is keen on hunting ghouls. We were suppose to receive a shipment of ghoul bones yesterday but it appears to be running late..." She pondered on the thought... It couldn't be those thugs that tried to pick a fight with her back at the BnB could it? She doubted they'd try something so stupid again so soon. It was actually rather worrying. "But I can get to the bottom of that so if you like I can sell what we have now then you can check back later on for that ghoul bone."

"Oh Silvy you're going to work yourself RAGGED if you keep up like this!" Dr Crow chimed in grabbing the assistants attention, again surprised by his interjection. "You really gotta learn how to take the time to relax and let loose! I heard that nice lad outside talking about a special discount at your new favourite tavern so you should go take a break!" "... Doctor did you hit your head in that explosion or something?" Doctor Crow bellowed out a laugh once again "NO nothing of the sort! I just think you need a little more enjoyment in your life! Go have fun with your friends! I'll hold down the fort for today!" Silva could hardly raise her voice in protest. Afterall despite how long she's known this man it was hard to find out what was going on in his head. "W-well... I suppose I could try and get some information on this missing delivery while I'm out... At least allow me to finish with the rest of the customers first." Silva turned her attention back to the crowd where she witnessed the libido potion guy fondling Cecil's tail. At least this time she wasn't surprised by something... She merely stared with disapproval until the beastwoman turned around and grabbed him by the neck making all manner of threats. "That man is either incredibly brave or absurdly stupid... Or both..." She shook her head before she called out to the pair. "Don't break any of the potions alright? Otherwise you are both out." She said nothing about the scuffle itself knowing that the guy pretty much deserves it.

All of a sudden another seemingly human girl burst through the door, looking distressed about something, then came a man not long after. A rather shady looking one at that. "Hold on a minute..." She said to Olfa, knowing something was amiss. "Something isn't right with that man." She focused in on the shady man, her vision soon landing on a golden cuff adorned with a crescent moon. Silva tensed up. She had heard the rumours... But she didn't expect them to be true... And that girl. The man is acting like she's with him but the girls behaviour says otherwise. Soon the girl backed into one of the shelves and caused a potion to fall over and break on the floor. Looks like the perfect excuse to intervene has just presented itself. "My apologies Olfa... But it seems a customer here is kicking up quite a fuss. Allow me a moment to deal with them." Her expression hasn't changed. But there was a clear fire in her eyes that pretty much told anyone that she means business. She approached the troublemaker not long after another new face showed up seemingly toying with the man. But unlike her Silva was not here to play games... "Sir." She spoke loud and firm as she raised her hand and grasped his shoulder, stopping him from advancing any further on the poor girl. No matter how hard he'd try he would find it very difficult to escape her clutch. "I don't know what your business is here but I'm afraid I cannot allow you to be bothering the customers like this. So you have a choice. Either turn around and walk out the door right now. Or I evict you off the premises myself. It's your choice." Silva's grip tightened on his shoulder, showing him that she is more than capable of following up on her promise in the latter option.

A smile remained on Alix's face even as he was grabbed by an aggressive Cecil. His face had a tint of red to it in reaction to the hand around his neck. "I didn't know we'd be doing this here." Alix said, a grin forming on his face. Even though Cecil was doing this to threaten him, Alix couldn't find it threatening since he enjoyed it. "If you want to eat me up, go right ahead. I won't stop you." Even though he may have been digging himself another hole, it was going to be worth it in the end.

The red head stumbled backwards, almost dropping the potion in his hand. Almost right on queue, Silva warned him to not break the potion. "I wouldn't drop this for anything, can't be wasting such a useful elixir." Alix turned his attention to Cecil once more, giving her a cheeky smile. "Not all beastwomen are the same but I know a lot that like personal attention... especially when it comes to their unique features." His eyes landed on her ears, resisting the urge to pet them as well. "Maybe you should tell me the rules...my hands don't make a mistake twice." While he was talking to her, Alix reached into his pouch to grab a gold coin. He placed it on the counter, turning around to see a women being cornered. "You usually only see that in dark alley ways." While he may have been joking, there was a bit of seriousness in his voice as well.

Alix raised an eyebrow as Silva seemed to take control of the situation, threatening the man. He didn't know who the aggressive man was but it seemed like they deserved something more than just being thrown out of the potion shop. He wasn't interested in getting involved, violence wasn't really his thing. The dagger he kept on himself was purely for self defense and nothing more. With how eager that man seemed, things could get ugly fast and Alix didn't want to be around for it. "I'll have to catch you another time, it seems this is out of my expertise." Alix said, moving his way towards the door. Upon stepping out of the potion shop he was immediately greeted by rain. "Great." He took his jacket off, putting it over himself. With his magic, he manipulated the jacket so it stayed above his head, blocking the rain. "That should solve that issue." Now he's prepared to wander the streets.

Ciaran
Ship #1, Deck

As Carlisle dragged him back from the edge and dryly joked, Ciaran's only thanks came in the form of a weary groan. His feet were soon planted firmly once more, and Valorie was suggesting he retreat below deck. It wasn't fair... There he was, expelling his stomach contents in a bucket while others literally threw themselves overboard to take a stab at the monstrosity threatening to smash their ship like a melon. Others at least held their own, cleaving off limbs as thick as a human body. He was so weak...

But then an idea struck him, his mismatched eyes flickering open as he looked up. Perhaps he could find strength in the tools at his disposal. Digging through his bag, he let out a breathless "Aha!" He withdrew his once-free hand, fingers now wrapping what appeared to be a carved wooden tube, tapered on one end and flared on the other. In some ways, it resembled a woodwind instrument like a clarinet or a recorder, but the lack of holes bored into the shaft indicated that wasn't the case. He brushed aside his wet, tangled hair to reveal a nervous grin crossing his pale face. "Wait! I got some'in' that could 'elp!" Ciaran announced, holding it up. "I jus' need that ugly bastard t' raise its head!"

Olfa
Olfa nodded to Silva and was about to pull out a few coins from his pouch on his side before the Doctor started his conversation with Silva. The mention of the B&B and how Silva supposedly frequented it made Olfa confident he could invite the nice lady for a drink and tour of his distillery as she seemed interested in his brewing. Once again, before he could get a word in, commotion started up. It was between Mr Stamina and Cecil, a very pointed arguement of his line-crossing groping. Hearing Cecil's threats about her tail and his touching, Olfa chuckled and breathed in through his teeth, knowing the trouble the boy just caused for himself.

"You just have to be a little slow buddy, I can't fathom the mentality you got going on." Olfa scoffed and shook his head slowly in disbelief of the man and is ignorant antic. It seemed almost self defeating to keep trying but, maybe he will hit a homerun on some poorly oblivious girl. Only time could tell for him.
Turning around fully, Olfa finally caught the glimpse of the full situation in the other side of the shop. An odd man and some poor lady. Surely didn't look rapey at all. As many patrons went to approach the man, assumingly stalling for time or in Silva's case, an open threat of removal from the premises. It didn't seem like a bad idea but it wasn't what Olfa's goal was. He saw the girl, much more inclined to run away which would surely spell some kind of mistake if she were to run out of the store and find whoever was accompanying the creepy man.

Olfa left the counter, his list still there as he approached the girl and hugged her embracingly, exclaiming out like he was an old friend.
"Lisa! It's been so long since I have seen you, how have you been? You look good! Such a surprise to see you here!" Olfa went on to smile and reel back from it slowly to look down to the girl before leaning in closely and quietly to her ear. "I am sorry to just barge in, but it seems like you could probably use a better deterrent from this guy then angry patrons at a potion shop. Im Olfa and I promise you will be safe, just play along with it." As Olfa ended his sentence, he looked back to the girl, awaiting her response, hoping for her to go along with it for her own safety. He knew he could snap the man in half if needed, but did not truly wish for that result. Far as he knew, the girl had done wrong by him but needed to know that for sure before he just let some man hurt the girl.

Cecil rolled his eyes as Alix gave her a cheeky smile. What more could this man want after just touching her in a intimate way in the middle of public? "Ahuh..." She muttered before taking a glance behind her, noticing a girl coming in with a man who followed. He seemed very suspicious, but many had rushed to the girls side. Between Olfa, Silva, and another female, it seemed the situation was under control currently. There was no need to pitch into the worried girl's situation and cause it to spiral downward even further than it already had. "I doubt you'd be able to catch me later, boy." Placing two gold coins, she called out to Silva "I know you're busy, Silva, but leavin' some gold for you for your potions. I need to head out." Unfortunately, she followed the redheaded male outside. While he covered himself from the rain to prevent himself from getting wet, she just walked into the rain. It wasn't like she was going to melt or something, a little water wouldn't hurt. Even though the rain had been coming down.

Despite the rain, she needed to get a job or two in between now and lunch. While the droplets flattened her hair down and slowly began to soak her clothes, she knew if she didn't get a move on, she'd be walking uncomfortably in soggy clothes till she got back to her room at the inn. Her nose had picked up Kiara's scent nearby, which meant she was still around. Glancing down at the pouch on her side, she thought it'd be best if it was returned to her dear sister just in case. "Ki," Shouted Cecil as the beaswoman turned towards her only family, spotting the stinky man wrapping his arm around her "Hey you better remove your filthy arm from her before I remove it for you!" While approaching, her hands unclipped the pouch of Ki's and handed it back to her "Here, I don't want to take this with me if I'm going to do a few things. You be safe, okay?" Glaring at Toshi for a moment, she slapped his hand to get his arm off of her before backing off and lightly jogging towards the inn they resided in.

She had other things to do and as much as she wanted to hover around Ki, they had to keep afloat somehow and Stinky Boy seemed to be reliant enough if he got excited over one singular gold coin without asking for more. Gritting her teeth, Cecil wondered if it would be a good idea to leave her be. The silver-haired beastwoman jogged by the redheaded flirt, straight up ignoring him because who'd wanna give him more attention? What a daring bastard. He's lucky I didn't ruin him. The Lioness was careful with the potions she had recently just purchased, holding them securely while also not hard enough to break them.
