Fantasy The Spirit Inside ~ Forest and Village

Rex narrowed his eyes and grabbed his cup, temporarily done drooling at other people. With a frown, he picked it up and realized that it was empty. Looking up, his widened his eyes in astonishment when Bel stroked his face. Normally, he was have immediately pulled back, but he was actually too surprised to react. "I,,I'm not,,not dead!" he stuttered, trying to focus "I'm fine, I Don't Need help! I just want to know what's going on, I only remember Two days out of my existence!" He took a breath and sighed, then glanced hungrily at a nearby customer and knew that Bel was right "But I have no reason not to come,," he grumbled. Upon seeing the others approach, he sighed and ran his hand through his hair, then turned his gaze towards Dia "I feel Nothing, as usual" A smile crossed his face, but with a hint of dark humor. "Is it time to get going?" Rex stood up now.

@Delacare @RP Marshall @JJKab @ragingfire

She expected him to say that as she could tell his aura had an ... emptiness to it. Again she saw a dark portal near him. As if he could just walk into it and be gone forever. She didn't know if she should tell him about these portals she saw opening up around him. "Right. We should get going." She said with a hint if anticipation.

Belisair smiled brightly at Rex, happy that he had chosen to come along, and nodded at Dia statement.

"Now that we have almost everyone, we should pick up some supplies before we head out. That Cheshire character @CandidFox puts me ill at ease for some reason, so we will be moving on without him. I'll leave a note with the Innkeeper if he wishes to join us later on; I'm sure he could find us if he really tried."

Belisair rose and approached the Innkeeper. He produced paper, quill and ink before writing a note.

"One of our acquaintances may come looking for us, the one with blond hair and blue eyes. If they do please give them this note."

Handed over the note and a single gold coin, which was undoubtedly overkill.

The Innkeeper merely nodded and smiled as Belisair turned to collect his party.

"Alright everyone, let us stock up and move out. There's no telling what we may face once we reach the Saza-hallah Temple."

"Saza... what?" Flint said scratching his head in perplexity. "What kind of idiot would name a temple Saza-hallah?{( ;) )}"

"Oh! By the way Belisair, is Kyngerz alright? He left rather sore and you were quite hard on him."

@KingsPlague
"Saza-hallah; it means 'like fire, without heat'. Therefore, we are heading to the Bright Temple."

Belisair paused and considered his answer to Flint's second question.

"As I said before, we have come to an understanding. We both apologized, and we both set boundaries. There are still some folds we need to smooth over, but I'm sure the Kyngerz will be fine the next time we see him. No need to worry. Now lets go and get supplies."

Lena nodded quietly, as she was ready to move out at any minute from now.

Lila, fully dressed now, with the shawl that Belisair had given her wrapped around her shoulders, came down the stairs at a brisk walk. The Yuan-ti made her way over to the Sylph and stood quietly by his side, she kept her eyes somewhat downcast, not quite looking at anyone at all. She shifted slightly on her feet, almost nervously, it would be dangerous and Kyngerz was right, she could not protect herself. Lila would be a liability to the group if something happened, a liability to Belisair, she inhaled deeply and slowly exhaled.

She would just have to do her best to stay out of a hopeless situation. Still she couldn't help but feel useless.

"Well now that Lila is properly clothed, I believe we are ready to leave. Actually, wait a second, be back in a breeze."

Belisair sped off up the stairs on a breeze he had forgotten to grab his other robes when he had took off earlier that morning. Not even 30 seconds later, he was back where he started, stuffing the now dry robe into an impossible pocket.

"Now that everyone is in accordance, I suggest we head to the general store first, then look at any merchants that may be passing through."

Belisair turned and led the troop out of the Inn, towards the Store.

While the group traveled to the general store, Flint picked some Snapping Crickets from the hedges leading to the shop. Carefully snatching them up from their backs, the bird popped some of them into his mouth. The rest he killed with his staff and placed in Belisair's bag for safe keeping.

"There's my supply contribution, Belisair. Feel free to have some."

Much time had been passing, the sun had almost reached its peak in the sky to announce noon, the Palsiet had now moved under the shade of a tree to avoid the heat and brightness of the sunlight while he waited. The Palsiet returned to his medetory seating and a small circle of frost grew and shrunk with his exhales and inhales. By this rate it may be too late to embark, as they may not reach the temple until past nightfall.

They had been shopping for quite some time. Between Flint's generous contributions, "Thank you, Flint" @RP Marshall, and trying to keep Rex from eating people, "Yes, I know everyone looks delicious, but one little bite will most definitely hurt", Belisair had lost track of time and noon was already upon them. There was no way they would reach the Temple before nightfall, and Belisair was extremely disinclined to travel through the night.

"Everyone, we have taken entirely too much time preparing for the trip. We will have to spend another night at the Inn and leave very early in the morning."

@Kry @JJKab @ragingfire

"Everyone please go to lunch and I'll go fetch Kyngerz."

Belisair asked a passing breeze to search out the Palsiet, and after 4 tries, he found one that wasn't busy taking the smell of pine needles to the sea.

"Come Zephyr."

"Kyngerz, we are going to wait til tomorrow to head for the Temple. Everyone would feel more at ease if you would rest inside Thoranhall's boundaries."

Belisair noticed the Palsiet meditating and kept his distance. He let his surrounding breezes notify Kyngerz of his presence before speaking.

@KingsPlague

The Palsiet gave a slight nod as the frost melted and he stood up "I would have no issue with traveling in the night, but for others it may be dangerous." He smiled at the sylph "I will pay for the accommodations tonight, gold has no worth to me." he added before heading toward the towns gates.

Lena nodded at his speech, as she was pretty used to waking up early. She slowly made her way to the Inn again, humming quietly. As she did, she thought to herself about this whole trip, and it's point. She decided she would ask later about it.

Rex had spent most of the day simply looking around at the supplies being bought with curiosity, debating with himself what he should do in the long run. Now arriving back at the Inn, he stepped inside briefly for a quick drink and went back outside. He wanted to explore the city, perhaps get some money somehow. Glancing around, he quietly made his way to the street.

"Kyngerz, um..." Flint said meekly calling to his intimidating ally. "I just wanted to say... Thank you- for everything you've done for me. I'm sorry I was such a little jerk before, it will never happen again. I hope that we will become friends someday soon. After all, you saved my life from those wolves but, because of my pride, I didn't bother to say thank you. So thank you!"

The bird started walking away from the Palsiet but suddenly turned back to him

"By the way," the bird said with a humble smile. "That Zephyr guy Belisair keeps talking to, I think he's a real jackass for not forgiving you."

@Delacare
The Palsiet smiled at his feathered companion, "I have no reason to forgive you as you did the right thing to distrust me, I am not always proud of my past nor my choices in my very long life, but I have never stopped learning that everyone can surprise another in many ways. There is also no need to thank me, I could not let a friend of a friend be killed by such despicable animals." he explained, his smile soon fading as he thought about the Zephyr and his words "No.... Zephyr has every right to hate every part of my existence, I have done many things in this long life, and witnessed many. I know the Zephyr remembers my presence during the Sylph massacre and there was nothing i could do to save Belisairs kind, and to Zephyr I am the one responsible for such destruction. This I cannot deny but It is also not true. I beg of you not to mention it to Bel, I will explain it to him when the time is right." he explained, staring at the bird during the last sentence, his gaze unblinking and slightly serpentine as if he was threatening him though this was denied by the warm smile of the Ancient being

The crow shivered at the thought of Kyngerz inadvertently involved with the killing of Belisair's ancestors. The Palsiet said he tried to save the Sylphs but to keep it a secret from Belisair? Could Flint do that? He had to! Who knows what Belisair would do.

"Your secret is safe with me," Flint said. "I owe you that much at least."

The bird, with a heavy heart, trudged back to the inn.

Gazing at his friend one last time, he said sympathetically, "Kyngerz... Please be safe."

Flint left while he rubbed his aching head.

"Gods damn this. Why are friendships so complicated!"

Knowing that the Party would be safe under Kyngerz's watch, Belisair decided to take some time to himself. He needed to evaluate the turns his life had taken over the past week. So much had happened in such quick succession that he was forced to just go with it.

He turned and strode into the forest with no destination in mind, as he went over recents events:

 1. Road to Saza-Hallah Temple
 2. Finding and saving Flint
 3. Meeting Kyngerz
 4. Bonding and Binding with Flint
 5. Meeting Lila, Dia, Lena, Rex, and Cheshire
 6. Claiming Lila
 7. Losing his temper with Kyngerz
 8. Hurting his relationship (if it could be called that) with the Palsiet
 9. Becoming the Leader of the Party (even though he'd assumed that Kyngerz would take that role)
 10. And now, Walking through the forest at a loss for words

Belisair was tired of trying to make sense of anything. He walked up to a particularly tall tree, and scaled it with a Sylph-given ease. He sat atop the highest branch-it barely even bent under his near weightlessness-and stared out over the forest and the town. Forcing hinself to be calm, Belisair let his mind drift upon the wind as he waited; waited for the answer to a question he hadn't asked.

@RP Marshall @KingsPlague @Kry @ragingfire @JJKab @Knightling @CandidFox

"There's eight of them now!" the wolf yelped in his canine language.

He had smelled five more scents who joined the three companions. A direct assault would be madness now. He had to use strategy if he wanted to succeed. All he needed was to it kill the two murders before he was slain, the others meant nothing to the wolf. The one eyed Alpha saw a sign beside the road.

"Thoranhall - in five kilometers," the intelligent wolf said slowly reading it. "They must have stopped there! I'm revenge is manifesting."

The Alpha chased down the scent towards the town coughing poison slime along the way.

Flint paced around the Inn's dinning hall, worrying with each new step. In his mind, group's well-being was slowly deteriorating. Belisair and Kyngerz relationship started to sour. If Belisair found out about Kyngerz secret what would happen? Would there be danger? Would he attempt to harm the Palseit? Would Kyngerz fight back? All these thoughts drilled at the crows aching head. The bird rubbed his face in agony.

"What am I to do?!" he said.

Lila had returned to the Inn as Belisair had instructed, while he went out on his own to think about things. The Yuan-ti skipped having lunch and went up straight to the room she and Belisair shared. Once there, she fell onto her bed, and laid there, much like Belisair, Lila too was thinking over recent events. Soon though, she fell asleep, taking a nice, restful nap that would hopefully help clear her head and help her to see or think about things in a different light. Perhaps then she would be able to understand what Belisair truly expected of her.

(Bel is the best angry housewife. I love how he wants to save everyone, take all the broken people and fix them.
@Delacare )

Btiske, Stupid! The Palsiet thought to himself as he entered the tavern to the others, could he really trust flint with this?Would he tell Belisair? what would happen if he could not hold him back again? Would so many lives be lost that Kyngerz would finally lose himself to the madness that ensued?

Yesssss, doubt yoursssself Kyngerz Plagkets, oh mighty ssssslayer of the great ice dragon Fer^Thung. your liessss consssume you as you consumed me and both wisssssh to break free.

The voice echoed inside his mind as he hesitated to enter the tavern, he shook it off and pushed open the door to enter, he took a mental note of who was there and moved to a table near the back, ordering a drink and taking out his books to create notes on what happened today.
