Fantasy The Spirit Inside ~ Forest and Village

Lila was frowning the slightest bit, but she moved up to keep pace with Belisair at his words. She kept her head down though, watching the ground as she walked. Even if he wasn't going to punish her, Lila still felt that all of this had been her fault. After all if she could fight, if she could do more than dancing and chores, Kyngerz never would've taken her and the Sylph wouldn't have gotten frighteningly angry at anyone. Lila shivered for a moment as she thought of how angry Belisair had been, how the winds had been in a frenzy and the sky had seemed to threaten to unleash twisters at any moment.


Lila didn't ever want to do anything to make Belisair that angry again.

Walking besides Lila, Flint noticed that the Yuan-ti countenances had fallen. The bird flapped his wings to get her attention and proceeded to skip about the road, all the while whistling a merry tune that he learned from a bluejay in the wizard's prison. The pretty bluejay had always been an optimist even while its feathers were yanked apart by the malicious minion. The crow had hated the melody when he was imprisoned but now it reminded him of how fortunate he was to be free when many of his friends were not as lucky. Friends... Lila, Dia, Lena, Chesire, Rex, Belisair and even Kyngerz were his friends now.


'I like having friends,' the crow whispered to himself.


Flint continued prancing for Lila.

The day has barely even started, and already Belisair was feeling exhausted.
"Lila I have no intention of punishing you. If you would please stop trailing behind me as if you had already been beaten, I would feel quite satisfied and call it even." @Kry


Belisair decided to just leave Flint with Lila until he felt the need to seek Belisair out; obviously the bird's closeness was strengthening Lila's resolve.


"Assuming that Lena @JJKab went back to the Inn, we still need to find the not-so-dead Rex and the shadowy Cheshire. Any idea where they may be, Dia?" @ragingfire

"Hmm.. I saw Rex near the Inn when we left. As for the others I'm not sure."


She followed the rest of them. This was an interesting bunch. She couldn't hep but wonder why they had all come together at this time. She didn't believe in coincidences. Her ear twitched and it seemed in the distance she could hear the sound of something large and metal.. "What the--In the forest?"

"Am I the only one hearing that... noise? It sounds like an old rusted door being opened and swung back and forth. Oh well I'm sure we'll find out soon enough."


He continued through the town to the Inn, where he noticed Rex slumped at a table.


"Well, I see Rex so that's one down. I'll go wrangle him into a better state. Dia, @ragingfire see if you could find out something about Cheshire @CandidFox from the Innkeeper."


Belisair walked into the Inn and made a straight line for Rex's table. He sat down and leaned close enough to Rex for his ever present breezes to ruffle the man's hair.


"Let me guess: you are still hungry. You are still starving even though you've stuffed yourself. Shall I alleviate your pains?"


Belisair reached into an impossible pocket pulling out a mana stone. He held the mana stone above Rex's down turned head, and squeeze the energy from it. The energy had no time to spread as it was sucked directly into Rex's mouth. @Knightling

Rex slowly looked up, his dull eyes carefully looking over the Half- Sylph like he had never seen him before. Surprisingly, he found himself eyeing the fresh skin and flesh of his person in front of him, as it seemed natural like one would breath. He didn't understand it, but he found his mouth watering at the thought of seeing live meat, but he quickly shrugged it off. "I don't think that,," he began to say, but gasped in surprise when the mana energy poured into his mouth. It certainly felt different then having food, and he immediately sat up strait, eyes wide. It didn't satisfy his appetite, but did give him energy to keep going. "I, uh, appreciate it,," Rex replied, confused "But what the hell was that?!" He glanced around quickly.

He turned back to Rex.


"'That' was mana energy, a facet of life. That is what you feed on now, life, because you are not truly alive. You're not like any undead I've ever seen. Truthfully, it's not like you are dead at all, just empty. Empty like a prematurely drained enchantment."


((I just realized that Bel has some SERIOUS mother issues. At least they are good mommy issues though.))


Belisair reached out and stroked the side of his face, shivering as he felt a slightly tugging on his mana. This thing, this man named Rex, was dangerous to keep around, but Belisair couldn't just abandon him.


Belisair smiled warmly at Rex, "I know you think you can stay in this town and figure out who and what you are, but you can't. The hunger I'm sure you feel will never go away, and it will make you a danger to others. If you stay with us, stay with me, I can help you keep it at bay til I can find a more permanent solution. What do you say?" @Knightling

"Lila @Kry and Flint @RP Marshall, would you be so kind as to go fetch Lena @JJKab from her room if she has indeed returned to it?" Belisair wanted to two to not have to worry about this.

"Hey, no problem," Flint assured Belisair.


"Race you there Lila."


Flint zoomed ahead of Lila, fluttering his wings for extra velocity. The crow couldn't wait to fly but for now he need all the exercise he could get.

Lena was quietly practicing her telekinesis, as her bed was floating a bit above the ground. She was waiting for when they're going to departure.

As the Palsiet waited for the band of adventurers to return he took out a brush and some paint and painted two triangles over and one under his left eye, filling them with swirls and runes as a kind of prayer for protection, as it only meant something to him spiritually rather than containing magical powers.

Though soon enough the Sylph was instructing her and Flint to go fetch Lena. Lila blinked softly, not even sure which room was Lena's, but then Flint was darting off, and more out of concern for the well being of the bird than for the sake of a race, the Yuan-ti dashed after him. Perhaps the pretty bird knew which room to find Lena in, that would be nice, Lila also thought taking a quick detour into Belisair's room would be fine. So that she could actually dress, instead of just run around everywhere in the towel and robe she was still wearing from the night before.

She looked a tiny bit nervous about having just run through the Inn's halls, but no one else seemed to be around so she calmed quickly. When Flint said he thought this was the right room, Lila nodded slightly, but said nothing. A purple scaled hand lifted, and she knocked very lightly on the door, even though Belisair had said to get Lena, Lila didn't want to disturb her if she was resting.

Lena opened her eyes, as the bed gently got back on the ground. She went to answer the door.


"Yes, wh... Oh... Hello, Lila... And Flint. Are we going?" She asked, smiling at them.

She spoke the words softly, taking a step back from the door now, so that Lena could exit the room if she so wished. "...I-I'm going to go change...Lord Belisair i-is downstairs w-waiting for us.." That said, Lila immediately turned and darted for the room she had shared with Belisair.


Before Lena or Flint could have even replied to her words, the Yuan-ti was already disappearing into that room, closing the door behind her softly but hurriedly. It wouldn't take her long to dress, though she probably wouldn't make it back down to Belisair until a few minutes after Lena and Flint.

Flint nodded in agreement and lead the way downstairs. On the way down, the bird decided to ask Lena for some answers."


"So I here rumors that you're not a human but an elf. Not that I dislike elves but what is an elf? Oh! And by way, do you like Lila or something?"

"She seemed to have gone through a lot of bad things" Lena said, scratching the back of her head.

"Yeah, I think so too since I've dealt with my share of hardships. She undoubtedly has an inferiority complex; to the point of thinking she should be punished for any little thing she does. I wish she could just loosen up with us. I don't want her to be sad anymore."

Flint chuckled as they made it back to Belisair and Rex.

Dia nodded at Belsair 's request and went over to the Inn keeper to ask about Chesire.


"Excuse me sir..."


The Inn keeper walked over to her rubbing a tall mug clean with a rather dirty looking rag. "Yeah? What can I get'cha?" He asked


"I was wondering, have you seen a small child (although she wasn't sure if Chesire was a child or not, or really what she was. Anyone else who saw her would think so.) With Blond hair leave here today?"


"Yeah sure did left in a hurry too.. Went that'a way" he said still wiping down the same mug.


"Thank you." Dia said and bowed slightly as she turned to relay the information to the rest of the group.


Dia looked around and spotted Belsair and Rex sitting down talking quietly. To Dia's suprised Rex looked significantly better than he did before she talked to the Inn Keeper, even though he was still pale as ever. "What did you do to him?" She asked Belsair as she sat down.

"Yeah, apparently she ran back towards the forest in a hurry...but that's all I got. She did say that she was accompanying us to the Temple didn't she? I wonder if she went looking for us..." Dia looked to Rex "Eh.. How're you feeling?... You look... better" a faint smile showed on her face.
