A nearby tree was split by a sharp blast of wind; it looked as if it had been sliced like butter with a warm knife.

'Damn you Kyngerz. Undermining all the progress we had made. She's just a slave mentally. Give her time to leave that behind before you try to turn her into a soldier.'

"Stand aside, elf. She is my ward", Belisair didn't even glance at Lena as a firm breeze brushed her aside. @JJKab

"That is enough Lila. Rise and receive your punishment." His voice was dark, harsh. it brooked no argument. @Kry
Lena stood up rapidly, as she looked at Belisair. Before she could object, she got pushed back by a breeze.

"W-What are you...?" She only got to say that.

"Stop Belisair!" Flint yelled at his enraged friend. It was like Belisair was bewitch by an evil entity. The Sylph reminded Flint of the old wizard! The bird could not let this go on.

"You are out of control!" screamed the crow.

Lila hadn't lifted her head to look at Lena, under different circumstances, she would have acknowledged the other girl, but right now was not a good time. Right now, she had to face whatever Belisair was going to do with her, she needed to be 'dealt with' as her old master would've said. The loud crack made Lila flinch slightly, and the Sylph's tone frightened her a bit more, but she obeyed. Almost immediately she was on her feet, and like a good slave, she kept her head down. Not daring to meet the eyes of her better. She knew her station, she knew it well, all talks of freedom, they were just a lovely dream. Lila knew that well too, but it had been nice to pretend, for even a little while.

Flint was yelling at Belisair now, and Lila chanced a glance up at the pretty bird, almost afraid that Belisair might decide to punish the crow too.

Flint was yelling at Belisair now, and Lila chanced a glance up at the pretty bird, almost afraid that Belisair might decide to punish the crow too.
Flint leaped out of Belisair's bag and fluttered wildly in front of Lila. Taking out his staff he extended the weapon to protect Lila from his raving mad friend.

"I am your friend Belisair but if you lay a finger on her I will hurt you," Flint said sternly. "Your power has already attacked Lena. You are not going to attack anyone else!"

Lena slowly walked behind Lila, as she looked at Belisair, a bit angered. She stood behind her, just in case she was needed.

Belisair waited for what felt like ages to everyone around before he struck.

He lunged at the Yuan-ti and-

You already know what it is

he held her close.

"Your punishment is that I'm not letting go of you anytime soon." He spoke softly and convinced the wind to calm completely.

"It seems that we hadn't made as much progress as I had hoped, Little Scales." He kissed her hair softly.

((decided to make a shorter post this time to emphasize the mood.))

"Damn you Belisair!" Flint squawked as he lowered his weapon , "You scared the hell out of me!"

Flint, still angry as hell, couldn't help but smiled at the trickster Slyph.

{Good night all!}

"F-Flint!" Lila's eyes were wide in terror at the pretty bird's actions, but she was touched that he would attempt to defend her so valiantly. Still, she could not allow him to get hurt, not because of her. She was useless, but maybe she could protect Flint from Belisair's wrath, she went to grab for the pretty bird, at the same time Lena stepped behind her. As if to help, though before Lila could really move, even as quick as she usually was, she found herself caught by the Sylph. Belisair had wrapped his arms around her and held her close. She had flinched at that touch at first, but quickly calmed herself down. Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest.

Little Scales. He called her that a few times already, she liked it, it and the kiss to her hair sent a thrilling shiver down her spine. Making her feel all tingly for a few moments. These feelings that the kindness and gentle touches instilled her were exciting and so new. The newness of it would probably wear off eventually, but for now, Lila relished the feeling. It also reminded her of Belisair's earlier words. She could make her own decisions. She stepped back from him, gently pulling from his embrace and turned her back to him. Lila looked at Lena and smiled at the girl.
"T-thank you for trying to help.." She stood there, like that with her back to Belisair, her shoulders squared and her tail very still behind her. Lila inhaled deeply.

Then she whirled around to face Belisair with a stern look on her face, but a pout on those dainty lips. There was a hint of fear in her eyes. Surely she'd be punished for real this time.
"You! Y-you need t-to apologize to t-that man!" Her body still trembled. Her courage was failing her, but these people, they were nice, and it was okay to act like this around them...wasn't it? Still she wouldn't be surprised at all if she was indeed punished for speaking in such a way to Belisair. "H-he wanted to help me...so that I...so that I c-could be strong....but I'm not. I'm not strong at all!!" She collapsed to her knees again. "I can only dance and do chores. I can't fight, I don't want to fight. I don't want to hurt anyone. I don't want to see anyone get hurt." These were her true feelings, they tumbled out of her mouth before she could stop them, and when she was done, she lifted a hand to cover her lips. As if to keep more words from escaping.

((You bitch that was a low blow. Using my soft spot against me .))

Belisair was taken aback; Lila was actually lecturing him for a change. This was...unexpected.

Having enough sense to look remorseful, "I understand Lila. I was behaving inappropriately. I shouldn't have lost control and caused everyone so much trouble over a simple misunderstanding. I'll go and apologize to Kyngerz now. Flint, you stay with Lena and Lila."

Belisair stood and placed Flint in Lila's lap giving him a look before turning and heading in Kyngerz's general direction.

"Oh boy Zephyr, this is going to be difficult. Pray for me." He murmured under his breath.

@KingsPlague

[Muwahahah. Don't worry. Lila's gonna retreat into her shell of timidity again.]

Lila stared up at Belisair, abit surpised he hadn't scolded her or punished her. Perhaps he didn't really want to do it infront of someone else. Then Flint was being placed in her lap, and Lila reached down to pick up the bird gently, there were still some tears in her eyes as she pressed her cheek gently against the side of Flint's face. Nuzzling him gently, mostly because she needed the comfort, and partially because she was glad that Flint hadn't gotten hurt for confronting Belisair the way he had. Then very slowly Lila turned to Lena, and looked at her with uncertainty.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry....I-I-I...d-d-didn't m-mean t-to c-cause t-trouble f-for e-everyone.." The words were whispered, sincere, but fearful.

@JJKab
Lena smiled at Lila, as she shook her head a bit

"You did not cause any trouble for ANY of us, dear..." She said, laying her hand on her shoulder

"The most important thing for us right now is your safety...." Lena added, smiling warmly at her.

Lila flinched slightly at Lena's touch, but she did not pull away. She also didn't quite meet Lena's eyes, Lila wanted to go back to the inn and hide in her and Belisair's room, but she also wanted to wait for Belisair. In case he went on another rampage if she wasn't where he left her again. "...T-thank you..." Lena had said something kind, but Lila felt as if she didn't deserve it. This misunderstanding was all her fault after all.

The Yuan-ti continued to hold Flint gently, very lightly petting him, as if he were a delicate and fragile thing. To her he was fragile and precious, he was her friend, and he could talk.
"..I..." Lila didn't finish the sentence, instead she just frowned and continued to distract herself with petting Flint.

Kyngerz had found a brook and sat by it, the air around him turning cold as he started to calm down, he placed his hands together, the thumb, fore and ring finger touching eachother at the tips and the middle and little fingers touching at the finger nails. he breathed deep and as he did it seemed the frost that circled him grew and shrunk with each breath as he regained his temper. It had always been a problem of his, when he thawed out from the Fer^Skyst he had brought an entire fort to their knees only because he didn't understand what they were saying.

He had made a reputation for himself, and not a good one to be honest. Kyngerz had always tried to make amends and do what seemed right, but it had a tendency to go haywire. In this case he had tried to teach a Slave to fight, something that he had done before with Minotaur as they had been held captive by dark wizards in the time before the Great racial war. But this time it was different, he did not know if he was even allowed to protect her anymore as the sylph had obviously claimed her for himself, if it was love then he would not fight it there it was again Love he began to remember what he wanted to forget.

"OUR PALE FACED CHILDREN, OUR PALSIET" The combined voice of the gods boomed over the Grand city of Sprutgnarl, it's majestic marble spires studded with gemstones seemed to live as the fires flickered in their reflections, silver blood running through the streets and bodies scattered through them. Kyngerz stood there, much younger and spirited, though his age could only be told through his body language. He had his blade drawn, though it did not glow blue with the power of ice, he had seen this day coming ever since he was spawned by the gods. "YOUR ACTIONS OF WAR HAVE SHOWN US OUR MISTAKES WE HAVE MADE, FOR THIS WE SHALL BEGIN ANEW, THE FIRST AGE SHALL FALL, THE FIRST RACE SHALL BE NO MORE" Light blue lightning cracked through the almost black sky, the clouds seeming to swallow up the tips of the towers as the gods faded into the heavens. Another loud crack of lightning raced through the clouds as it began to snow heavily. 'Krisa' Kyngerz thought to himself, the only chance at redemption would be if he found the other half of his soul, he ran through the streets, ice shards the size of boulders falling from the sky, destroying the city and all those who remained within it, but Kyngerz remained, he had to find her if he wished to have a second chance at life.

Screams echoed through the marble streets as the snow became deeper and more of the known world was destroyed by the gods wrath, and there, in the middle of the square in front of a large brazier containing a slowly fading blue flame kneeld a woman garbed in priest like robes, mumbling words of prayer for their race to be spared.

"KRISA" Kyngerz shouted, he ran towards her, she looked at him with her deep blue eyes and smiled.

Kyngerz ran faster,it was only a few more bounds to reach her...

CRUNCH

An ice crystal the size of a house came down right before his eyes pulverizing the ground where his other half had been.

The vision ended and the Palsiet pounded the ice before him with his bare fist, the ice cracking and cutting his hand as he screamed in pain, more of the memory than the physical pain. He was back by the brook, and he had remembered what love was, and the reason why he wanted to forget anything he ever experienced about it

"I... Really do wanna help you out, miss... I am always reachable..." She said, smiling warmly at her

"Now I will head back to Inn... If there's anything I can help out... Just let me know" Lena added, as she slowly made her way back towards Inn

As Belisair strode through the trees, he thought about his confrontation with Kyngerz.

"I really overeacted didn't I Zeph? I shouldn't have said ALL those things I did."

Belisair knew that his words had struck a chord with Kyngerz, and he was positive that it was not a good one. He also needed to clear ip this whole "love" issue. He may love Lila, but he was most definitely not in love with her.

He heard the sound of ice cracking in the distance and knew he was getting close to Kyngerz.

Not sure of how to proceed, Belisair walked close enough to the Palsiet so that his presence could be detecred.

The silver blood dripped through the cracks of the ice as his body shivered with the regrets of the Pasiets past, he had heard the sound of footsteps behind him, no doubt in his mind that Bel had come to make his amends it was at times like these he noticed how frail his spirit had become with age, his outbursts of rage had become more and more frequent as his memories faded in and out of his mind. He slowly stood up, his body feeling heavier than it usually did as he looked at Belisair, his eyes cold and emotionless. "I am sorry that I took her to try and teach her to protect herself without asking you before hand, it will not happen again" he said and walked back to the others, he did not want to speak about what just happened as it may lead to another pitiful and pointless argument.

Chesire looked around and sighed. "A good thing no one was watching other than us.......and now that everything has calmed down...." She said to herself before looking down at the boxes she was given.

Sighing, she went back to the inn and sat on a chair as she decided to check out the box the blacksmith gave her. "Lets see...." Opening the box, Chesire gasped softly in shock and stared at the content.

"Ohhh? A magic enhanced gem?" She said curiously and took out a wooden box filled with various gems. Grabbing her magnifying glasses, she wore them to take a closer look at it. Little did she know this gem was related to a legend the old man told her.

Flint, enjoying Lila's soothing hold, began to think about poor Kyngerz. The crow had always been a real ass to the Palsiet. He would have to apologize too. The bird sighed; being a good egg was hard work.

Lena had bashfully left them alone. Flint felt their was something going on inside that strange girl. But what? Why was she so worried about Lila. After all, she was just a stranger to the Yuan-ti. On the other hand, Lila was still a stranger to Flint!

"I think you sound talk to Lena," Flint blurted out to Lila. "She seems really concerned about you."

Lena quietly entered the Inn, as she looked around it, and not wanting to eat, she decided to take a stroll around the city. She slowly exited the Inn, and walked towards the first direction she thought, away from where Lena and Flint were.

@Anyoned

Lila watched Lena leave them, she said nothing to stop there girl, only continued to hold and pet Flint. When the pretty bird spoke, Lila looked at him with a bit of confusion. "Why?" She ran her fingers along Flint's feathers gently, delicately. What should she even say to that girl? Lila didn't know, so she would just remain there in the meadow with Flint and wait for Belisair to return.

(I'm not gonna be around much today because of errands and other stuff.)

Dia was not sure what to do next. The only ones who knew where the Temple was were going through their own issues. And she needed to be on the move to retrieve the stone, not waiting around for these others to resolve their love triangle. She thought for a moment... maybe someone in town knows where the Temple is. She couldn't possibly bring herself to return to Bindy and ask. Although that seemed like the easiest thing to do. She didn't want to seem dimwitted returning two days later with no stone to ask directions "BAH! Of course not!".. Before leaving she walked over to Lila and Flint.

"Excuse me Lila, Flint. You are familiar with this forest, no? Do you know of which direction the Temple is in? Anything could help." She looked at him with honest eyes in a last attempt before she departed. @RP Marshall
