Fantasy The Spirit Inside ~ Forest and Village

Delacare said:
The constant casting of great magics had taken its toll and Belisair and Flint slept soundly. The first kiss of sunlight woke Belisair who stretched and stood up with Flint in his arms. He turned to Lila's bed to see if she had woken and saw nothing but a note. He place Flint into his pouch and read the note.
As he read, his hand began to visibly tremble, "Kyngerz..."

There was a resounding bang as the door was slammed open and Belisair fluttered down the stairs. He turned to rhe Innkeeper and there was a sort of aura around him.

"Innkeeper. You do not have to speak; just point. Which way did He go? My tall companion." The Innkeeper pointed towards the direction Kyngerz had carried Lila. He turned and brushed past Dia not caring if she had tried to address him or not. @ragingfire

"Zephyr, find them now." the wind leapt to his words and found the two he sought and a third.

"Come Zephyr." He took off in a small explosion of wind.

His feet scarcely touched the ground as he flew to the meadow. The skies darkened as he neared the clearing and his target.

"KYNGERZ!!! WHO GAVE YOU LEAVE TO TAKE MY WARD WITHOUT PERMISSION?" Belisair's voice was amplified by the frantic winds that surrounded him. His eyes had a hard gleam.

"You will explain the meaning of this note and what foolish thought you had in your mind when you came up with this insane idea."

The clouds above were swirling dangerously and even the most imperceptive of creatures would know to flee.

His voice dropped to a whisper that could be hear clear as a bell, "Answer me."

@KingsPlague @Kry @JJKab
"Calm down Belisair!" Flint said while fixing his rumpled up feathers.

He was surprised at how fearsome his friend was being. Yes, it was irresponsible of Kyngerz to spirit Lila away but the crow had a new positive outlook on people. The warrior's intentions had thus far been honorable... Wait! Lila was crying. Lila was hugging Kyngerz!

"Kyngerz! What the hell! Belisair and Lila are in love!" Flint said without thinking if it was actually true.

Wind rushed passed Dia making ger grab ahold of her bread before it flew off the table and her hair whirled around in a frenzy. It wasnt just a breeze it was Belsair! Dia grabbed up the rest of her food and quickly followed behind him. He was clearly in a rush. And didn't look too happy. She ran out if the Inn with a quick glance back at Rex who was laying on a bench outside of the Inn. He looked dazed but she had no time to stop Belsair was off and was already way ahead of her. He was moving fast, but she was fast too and began running faster after him. They stopped suddenly as they came upon Kyngerz and Lila. Lila was hugging him and crying for some reason. Belsair started shouting at Kyngerz. And then Flint said something about Belsair and Lila being in love.. oh a love triangle? Dia just stood back and watched... @RP Marshall @JJKab @Kry @Delacare @KingsPlague @Knightling

"Quiet Flint. Don't spew such nonsense. I am not in love with Lila; she is my ward."
He was outwardly calming, but the skies continued to darken and the air was whipping everything around him into a frenzy.

"Whys is Lila crying?" Those words carried a threat and a promise.
"Yeah. Right," the bird quietly murmured to himself with a cheeky smile.

"Hush now. Be a good egg.

Belisair was upset, fuming really, and Flint was spouting nonsense about love. This whole situation was overwhelming and only made Lila cry more. Was it her fault that Belisair was angry at Kyngerz? If so, then she was the one that should be yelled at and punished for it, not the Palsiet. Lila wasn't sure what to do, so for now, she just clung to Kyngerz.

(we should probably wait for Kyngerz before we post anymore, seeing how dramatic this scene is. It would suck for him to miss most of it.)

Chesire came back with two red box neatly tied with a black ribbon over it. She has a content smile on her face as she made a new friend today. But the atmosphere around her broke when she heard screaming.

Startled, Chesire stared at the situation infront of her as she stood near a woman
(@ragingfire). Two men were fighting and the Yuan-Ti was crying. 'Lila I think??' She thought. The fight kept on continuing which made Lila cry more.

"What..happen here?" Chesire said to herself and stared at the scene. "If she doesn't want to fight them, then why not make her into a healer?" Chesire whispered to herself as only the woman beside her can hear it.

((IKR? OMG the scene keeps playing in my mind and all im seeing is a funnel forming about to touchdown around Belisair. Encase you didn't know, Belisair protects his charges with a fierceness even hurricane-level winds can't match.))

((They arent fighting yet. Actually the only one angry right now is Belisair. Kyngerz is just comforting Lila.)

(Gonna have to go back a few posts to touch up on it, sorry about my sleeping habits)

The Palsiet was surprised by the hug, it was a warmth he had not felt in centuries and as the Yuan-Ti cried he was struck with memories of the past, he was the cause of so much pain and destruction, he was the one who would eventually need to pay for his crimes. His arms trembled as he slowly wrapped his arms around Lilac, his strong arms holding her softly as he felt a warmth deep inside, a warmth he had not felt in a very long time.

To Kyngerz discouragement, the wind had picked up and storm clouds rolled in at an unusual pace, Bel he thought as he held the frail snake girl, his thought was soon enough confirmed by the shouting of the sylph, him obviously not happy with the fact that Kyngerz had taken her, the Palsiet placed her down by the tree and paced away from her, keeping his distance from Belfast as his hair whipped furiously in the wind . Love Flint had said something about love, what was love again? The Palsiet thought, trying to search his mind for what he knew on the subject. He found only pain, a locked memory that would stop him from digging deeper into it, it seemed he was running out of time to think as the clouds began to swirl above him "Belisair, I must ask you to calm down. I took Lila out here to try and train her, she should be able to fend for herself to protect herself." The Palsiet bellowed, he felt the Faes anger and slowly picked up his sword, just in case he would be the one who needed to defend himself, he felt the air become colder as the ice magic crawled through his body, he needed to avoid this fight at all costs or he would have to explain quite a bit of his past.

Dia took a step back instinctively and looked up. Her hair was swirling furiously in the wind she reached a hand over her eyes as dust and leaves flew around them. The sky turning dark as clouds formed a whirlpool in the sky. She looked as Kyngerz reached for his sword. She immediately began chanting an incantation, one of protection. It didn't safe guard everything but it would aid her if any trouble would come her way.

Apart of her felt these two shouldn't be fighting... But Belsair was not responding to anyone telling him to calm down.

Lila stared up at Kyngerz when he put her down at the base of a tree and moved away from her. Her body trembled slightly and she wiped at her tears with those purple scaled hands, trying to watch both the Sylph and the Palsiet. She didn't want them to fight, they shouldn't be angry with each other. This was her fault. It was all her fault. If she could be more useful then Kyngerz never would've brought her out her to try and train her, and then Belisair wouldn't be angry at the large knight. New tears welled up in her eyes, for now though she just watched. If the two did actually start fighting, Lila would probably do something stupid and try to put herself between the two, but for now she merely watched with an almost bated breath. Afraid they would fight, and afraid both of them might be angry at her for being so useless.

"Fend for herself? After you told her that you would protect her? Who do you think you are?" This was ridiculous. He had no right to take Lila.

"I told her that she wold make her own decisions; that I would protect her until the day she could do so for herself. You would undermine my promises; step upon my words like common TRASH!?!" His eyes were growing brighter.

"I am supposed to calm myself as you draw your blade and dare to freeze the Aer in my presence. Have you no respect, no shame. You can't even do me the common courtesy of waking me as you took my Little Scales from me?"

Belisair began stalking slowly towards the Palsiet. His face was blank, his voice was even and his posture betrayed nothing, but everything he hid behind the facade was being released through the surrounding Aer.

"I am the one who has lost many friends because I could not protect them, I am the one who would teach her to protect herself in times when neither of us are around. I am the one who draws his blade in defense, not like you who barges in and begins pointing fingers and shouting suspicions of someone who had already saved the life of one of your friends earlier." The Palsiet began to walk, creating a moving circle with his and Belisairs steps. "Now step down, as I do not wish to fight you." he said biting his tongue to keep himself from making any remarks that could send the Fae into a frenzy.

The Aer seemed to be torn, It had it's new Master Belisair who it should stick with, but it also had a link to it's oldest master who's soul lived within it, for moments it seemed like the air would switch between powers, blowing and calming alternately, but in the end it stayed with Bel, though it did seem a tad Calmer.

The wind was furious, as it was tied to Belisair so that was no surprise, dark clouds and dark emotions. The thickness of them was almost tangible to Lila. She watched as the Sylph stalked towards the Palsiet with purpose and intent. If she didn't act now one or both of them might get hurt. Lila's body trembled. Belisair had told her to make her own decisions, and she was certainly going to do that right now, it wasn't much different than when some of the other slaves would fight. Lila had always tried to stop them. This was different somehow, though she didn't understand how or why.

The Yuan-ti stood, for a moment one hand was pressed against that tree to steady herself as she trembled and took a deep breath. Then she was moving. Quicker than a human, she was agile and quick. She darted past Kyngerz and went straight for Belisair.
"S-stop!" Her voice was loud, and fierce, well louder than she had ever spoken in front of these people before, yet it still wasn't quite a shout. That voice was full of defiance, concern, and resolve with only a hint of fear, as she threw her arms around the Sylph's waist. "Please!" She clutched to him tightly. "It's my fault! It's all my fault! Punish me if you must punish someone!" The defiance had gone, and there was only now the courage that comes from trying to protect someone else. Lila trembled against Belisair, lifting her head to look at Kyngerz. "He was only....He only wanted to help me.." That head tilted up to look at Belisair, eyes full of pleading, fear, and maybe a little confusion. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"

Lena was just quietly watching, in shock, after she heard that Lila wanted to be punished. She didn't understand the whole battle, but she did see Lila's eyes after she clung to Belisair.

"You don't know loss, Palsiet. Can you hear the tears the wind cries at the lost of its soul to protect it's body? Can you feel those lost ones forgetful and forgotten within the Aer? You would draw a blade for defense? HAH. You can draw only offense and offence from that arm."

The Sylph had no need to circle as he stepped closer to the Palsiet once again.

"I do not accuse you. I ask you who gave you any right to take without asking? I do not suspect anything. I chastise you for responding like a child. Surely, you in all of your wisdom would see the mark I placed upon her forehead. Surely, you would recognize what it meant and how I would- how I MUST react." How could Kyngerz throw his sentiments aside when they were so clearly stated?

He began striding towards the Palsiet in earnest, "You will be the one to step dow-"

"Lila, what is the meaning of this? All your fault? Little Scales, no please don't cry. I wasn't...I didn't...I couldn't... Alright."

Belisair held the poor quaking Yuan-ti close.

He looked up towards the Palsiet, and something flashed in his eyes, something ancient. "Our child may forgive you, but do not think that We will; We have not all forgotten you, Scourge." ((Yes this is meant to be confusing as to which one is their "child"))

The flash was gone and Belisair looked at the Palsiet with swiftly melting eyes, "That is enough Zephyr. Cease your machinations and go about your business."

"I am sorry if I frightened you Lila. That was not my intention. I saw you were gone and I overreacted. Please accept my apology."

"I am sorry if I frightened yu Lila. That was not my intention. I saw you were gone and I overreacted. Please accept my apology."
The Palsiet snarled lightly and any who where paying really close attention may have noticed a blue forked tongue split out between his teeth, but as he spoke it was once again pink and humanoid, perhaps minds where playing tricks. Kyngerz picked up his metal plating and fastened it to his leather armor, he also returned his weapons to their proper sheaths before he looked back at Bel and Lila, he once again decided it would be best to heed his tongue, he had not noticed the symbol on the Yuan-Ti's forehead earlier, but he felt that delving deeper would break his spirit. Instead he turned into the forest and walked off without another word, he would be back but not until he had eased his rage.

Loss was something that Bel did understand, but not to the degree that the Palsiet did, they shared similar losses, but his years had made it hard on him, he had lost friends he could not save as death would come for all, even him one day.

What put the palsiet even more on edge was that the Zephyr had spoken through Bel, calling him a Scourge which was not far off of how he felt about his life, after all his name roughly translated to 'The Kings Plague' and he could be blamed for many disasters though it wasn't him who did it but he had been a part of leading to it, the carnage of the Sylph was one he could not stop.

(haha! Leap in character development -snickers- I'm cruel to my characters, so for every leap forward, (s)he will probably take thirty backwards. Lila will not fight to protect herself, but she'll always put herself in harms way to protect someone else, she still won't fight though.)

Belisair seemed to calm, but Lila trembled. She trembled with fear, even though the Sylph had said for her to make her own decisions, she couldn't help but expect to be punished for acting the way she just had. Once it seemed as if the winds were calming too, Lila pulled away from Belisair, and dropped to her knees, head bowed.
"...I....I'm sorry....I'm so useless....I'm no good..." She was still crying, and she leaned forward, placing her hands on the ground and her forehead on the back of her hands. Bowing, a submissive posture to show she was ready to accept whatever punishment might befall her.

That trembling body was tense, expectant of a violent action.
"P-please....a-allow me to ta-take full resp-responsibility f-for this!" The words were spoken quietly, with a resolved tone, as if she were used to taking the blame for others' mistakes, though the words were also full of guilt, as if she really did think this was all her fault. Had she not been bowing, she would've seen Kyngerz walk off, and if her courage hadn't been faltering, she might've gone after him.

Lena watched Lena bow, and shook her head lightly, a bit frightened of her actions. After Kyngerz walked off, she meekly approached Lila, and crouched near her.

"Uhm.... Miss? Are you... Alright?" She asked, worried about her.

"Is there anything I.... can help with?"

*CRACK*

A nearby tree was split by a sharp blast of wind; it looked as if it had been sliced like butter with a warm knife.

'Damn you Kyngerz. Undermining all the progress we had made. She's just a slave mentally. Give her time to leave that behind before you try to turn her into a soldier.'

"Stand aside, elf. She is my ward", Belisair didn't even glance at Lena as a firm breeze brushed her aside. @JJKab

"That is enough Lila. Rise and receive your punishment." His voice was dark, harsh. it brooked no argument. @Kry
