Without noticing. She began staring at the table in front of her. Planning out all sorts of scenarios on different ways to get in.
"Do you have any contacts in the guild? I have been speaking with the man serving at the bar, but I'm not to sure if he is just looking to make coin or turn over some federation spies.." Samuel said hushed as he nodded toward barkeep,

Barkeep refrained from shaking his head in a insulting manner, he heard most of what Samuel has been saying.

"Dont really have any contacts with anyone, no." She took a small glance towards barkeep and back.

"Hmm i see.."

Kent approached the blocks. He selects a smaller block of green, but tries landing it precisely on the edge of the table, so it doesn't fall off.
A boy around the same height as Kent approached him, "I'll pair with you? If you don't mind"

He wore purple tinted glasses and the uniform of purple and green, indicating his talent.

"Your using the size I would I just thought you know.." He seemed awkward.

"I'm danielson, dan is fine" almost stammered.

Samuel then started to prove his worth,

"I'm thinking if I pay the barkeep, I'll, I mean we Might have the means to get you inside"

Barkeep glanced over toward barkeep,

"But I feel he has been overpricing me since I arrived here.." Sam motioned to his bag,

"I have some financial support to help you, but tell me when you said 'requirements' did you mean in actually applying? I hear they are scrutinous in their application process, with ways to tell if you lie with talent an such"

"Not sure why you'd want to partner with me. I'm just practicing precision." Kent says and selects another, quite large block. He starts lifting it, but it seems a little too big.

"I'm ready" dan said as he drew hue in from his glasses and the banners.

A purple fog extruding from his fingertips growing into a cloud"

Dart fell in the doorway of the entrance, his ribs aching.

Usually people are up and down this fucking place...

People usually were, but most guards were disposing of a dead body and a murderer.

Keeping prying eyes away from the scene and the cultist alive for questions, before his execution,

Councillor Byrne could be heard inside a cell underground the guards barracks beating and interrogating the young man who performed rituals dedicated to the eye.

Something... was definitely not right. More and more guard posts were vacated, students whispered to each other in the eaves, teachers and their substitutes fluttered about.

Good luck. If I can get my blindfold and a pass out of the gate, I'll be golden. Ditch this uniform somewhere in town, lift some travelling clothes, stow away on a boat. I'll be halfway to Cairn before anyone knows what happened to me.

Bryant's mind was shaken out of its scheming when he heard the telltale sounds of heavy breathing and a body hitting marble. Dropping into a more limber stance and quietly peeking around the corner of the building he was walking along, Bryant saw a young man collapsed on the floor of a small porch. Adrenaline surged though Bryant's veins as he ghosted over to the patient.

Ugghh, what's that stench..? Oh shit, that's blood and rum! Smells just like home!

After a moment of wondering how to get the Orange he required for a healing, Bryant quickly took his silky tie off and wrapped it around his eyes like a blindfold. The tie was surprisingly translucent; it was probably designed to be used like that in a pinch.

Better I meet this guy with my trademark anyway.

After a few moments of staring into the sun through the ad-hoc blindfold, Bryant turned around with his Hue readied.

"Oi! Need a hand?"

"You sure?" Kent says and throws the block upwards a great deal.

Dart raised his head a bit and noticed orange out of his unswollen eye,

"Rib.. Left side... People.." Dart managed to point in the direction of where Hazhm and gorne still laid.

"Fuck... Them"

Dan extending his hands as if he would catch it without hue, but the purple fog raised a bit and he caught the block with a spin to gather balance, he tossed it high slightly to the left of Kent,

"Oh lord sorry! Watch out"

He didn't need to be apologising as the catch and throw was decent, just direction off slightly as he spun to maintain the balance.

The streets of Kawli were thrumming with activity, filled with vibrant hues of every conceivable color and humming with crowded city life. To the androgynous figure being shoved along with the traffic, however, the press of the streets was suffocating. Ash knew that Kawli was a big city, but she didn't realize there would be so many people. As she was shoved by yet another pedestrian rushing who knows where, Ash let her fingers wander, dipping into the pockets of the man as he pushed by. In this manner she had collected no small amount of spending money from those who chose to disregard her as some clueless tourist. In the same manner, she had collected no small number of bruises, either.

Ash allowed herself to be ejected from the mob into the clearing of her intended destination, bruised, battered, and pocketing a modest sum for her troubles. She rubbed a particularly sore spot on her arm that would doubtless develop into an impressive enough bruise that a Purple talent could use it. Ash gazed up to the grand building before her, seeking not what was inside, but what she heard would be near it. A flash of pink drew her eye. The girl drank in the vibrant hue as she followed the fluttering banners to her destination, the Pink Silk Tavern. Any information of value found its way to the Academy, but there was no secret that could not be leaked, and academic tongues loosened with the right combination of drink and pleasure. If there was one place in all of Kawli that could provide insight into Ash's quest, it was here.

The androgynous figure slipped through the tavern's door without so much as a creak, taking her seat in an ill-lit corner of the bar. Next came the game only sharp ears and loose tongues could play.

Barkeep was serving the handful of people at the end of the bar,

Huell stood Infront of a staircase, for all points of reference huell is basically Andre the giant.

Barkeep started wiping down the bar waiting to do his job.

It's like all he is good for these days is waiting.

Ash tapped the dark, stained wood of the bar twice with her knuckles, signalling the bartender. While she waited for service, the girl's eyes scanned the cramped, smoke-filled space of the tavern. There were a number of people who looked up to no good, and a fair many who seemed to need a bath. Two stood out though, possibly because of how inconspicuous they were. Seated to the side, deep in a whispered conversation. One was drinking, both looked nervous. Part of Ash thought she could smell a job. The other part stayed wary of danger.

Barkeep smiled, he had a decent idea of who just walked in.

Classy like a card game,

He walked over casually, passing a few others to reach the back corner the individual was sitting,

"Tell me friend, what does victory sound like in the moonlight?"

Huell moved from where he was standing to stand at the bar, he poured himself a drink.

Ash turned their gaze towards the man before her, her eyes flickering with flecks of silver and pink. "If the only witness is the moon, it will cheer in 'silence'." Her voice was quiet, like it feared being heard. "Something that would be nice. Is there somewhere more private I can drink?"

"You may" barkeep replied in hushed tones, "but tell me.. Any news from smoke?"

Huell had gone back to where he was originally standing.

The cultist at the academy had been executed by lunchtime. All his deranged ramblings were of particular interest to one councillor Byrne. Who was now locked away in his private study.

Something else seemed to flicker with the colors in her eyes. Pain. "No signals. No nothing. The fire blew out and left only Ash. That's why I'm here." She murmured, rising to her feet from a bar stool barely warmed. "Any and all news circles around the Academy. You loosen tongues with drink, what news can you share?"

"Murder among the higher ups..chops little drunk knows more he was here all last night with Charlie.. But," barkeep stepped away to bring back a bottle.

"If you wanna make some coin off the federations back I could cut you in, of course I get finders fee and a bit more for expenses but I know they want to get into the academy, and not by paying admission fees"

barkeep spoke softly as he poured a glass of spiced wine and placed it Infront of the woman.

"if that don't sound up your ally I'm sure Charlie has something hot out the oven"

He said more casually.

@quiescentLunacy
Her eyes widened slightly, hearing this. "Dart was here?" A shiver prickled down her spine and worked its way into her voice. Ash had met the wetboy and his master only once, but the aura around Chops was frigid, like black ice. His apprentice likely wasn't someone Ash ever wanted to encounter. But, there was a chance, however small, of an enemy having intel on Smoke. Furthermore, Ash had meant to find a way into the Academy anyway. Getting paid for it would just be a bonus. Ash grimaced, thinking over her options. Her fingers wrapped themselves around the glass placed down before her, and all at once she brought the beverage up to her lips, taking a long draught. The sour heat of the wine steeled her frayed nerves, and with a solid CLUNK, the half-empty glass returned to the table.

Ash's gaze found its way back to the Barkeep's. "Let's hear this job you mention."

"Federation looking to learn or do something in the academy.. I was hoping to utilise dart since he was planted in their by mr Vice himself" barkeep muttered quietly with distaste,

"Guttersnipe spends all night with Charlie, Charlie of course lets him get rotten drunk.. But that's why I'm glad to see you here.. With all the extra security kawlii and the academy have I'm thinking the business partners I speak of want a distraction, or a helping hand in" barkeep shrugged and went to pour himself a glass before returning

"A war might be starting, the family may have to pledge allegiances depending on circumstances..but... I suppose It's not my duty to care, and only yours if you fear for your life"

Barkeep took a long gulp of his glass before gasping a tad bit and refilling his drink

Kent catches it, spins it around in the air for a bit, before gently placing it on the table.

Dan moved onto two blocks, making them swirl in the air, he was showing off.. purple was his specialty.

Guards assembled out the front of the academy, receiving orders and new conduct to adhere to.

"Well i'm considering yes. It would give me a good opportunity to be able to investigate undercover, and seek more information about Kawlii while also becoming a student. I just need to be extra careful not getting figured out. And besides, i have no reason to be lying about my talents either. So how about the idea?''

Samuel looked about, "it could work, but I'm just remembering the last gentlemen I had this discussion with a few months ago.. Similar to your plan but he wasn't heard from again, if he's alive or not is up for debate.. We have a list either way if you find yourself in a containment camp or jail with people we sent, you could regroup maybe riot and break out" he spoke in a quiet slur, as he passed a envelope across the table as one might a coaster for your drink.

the sound of the kawlii gates opening and closing ment another detachment of soldiers not fighting monsters, but holed up in the city. It compelled him to drink just thinking of the trip home.

''Wow. They must really have improved their security, if several spies already have been truly caught as you say...''

A slight worry could be heard in her voice.
